Food was good! A bit pricey but if you think about supporting local.... But not a place I can go all the time. So 4 stars. Good for girls get together brunch or something. The signature potatoes were good, salt & rosemary flavor. We didn't get any sauce but it had enough flavor, crunchy outside & soft inside. Ham & cheese croissant was ok but a bit on the salty side. Salmon bagel (special? It was on the wall, not on the menu) was good, mild flavor and easy to eat. I think I liked this more than the croissant. Açaí bowl (plain), was normally good, probably this is the only cost friendly of the things we ordered. My friend said their signature coffee was good and she had refill (with extra charge). I had the moroccan mint tea cold, came in mason jar, not sweet, nice mint flavored tea. Valet parking in the premises $2/hr. It's convenient but we waited about 5-10 min for the car to come out of the elevator garage, we were the only one waiting.
How have I never reviewed this place?!? I guess I always take photos and enjoy my food that I forget to. The restaurant is really cute. Check the hours as I think it's primary a breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. The food and coffee is always good here. You should make reservations though as they do get crowded (at least on Saturdays). A MUST is to always ask what the specials are. There is a gypsy egg dish that is simply delicious - it's like an amplified version of shakshuka - sooo tasty! I also always enjoy their cured salmon. The quiche is also very good. We had this other dish (see pics) with gravy and mushrooms, it is very good but you need to order this ahead of time (when you call to make the reservation and even at that, it may not be available). We typically park on the street in the metered parking area. I believe the building does have parking, but we've never parked there.
Food: delicious blue cheese on the gourmet burger. Beignets were so fresh and fluffy but also VERY messy. Save your $3 on the chocolate sauce as it was nothing super special. Service: at first not good. The second the real boss came in (chef) he turned that shop around. I guess you can make reservations but a family next to us said they couldn't even make one. So I guess it's an option but not a viable one. Ambiance: cute cobbler esthetic but the tables are VERY small. Won't be coming here to dine in again but take away is an option.
Love the Mille fille potatoes-- crispy on the outside and soft and billowy on the inside. Perfect and just the way a potato should be served! I hear this is an English staple and not hard to make, but when done right absolutely delicious. Here it's served with your choice of different sauces, including harissa, homemade ketchup or Demi glaze. This is a must try. The ham and cheese croissant was just as expected... Layers of delicious salty ham smothered between cheese and served crispy and hot. Simple breakfast well done. Good coffee too! Street parking is best.
Food was creative, the taste was just alright. The crepe was pretty burnt throughout the entire bottom (burnt + arugula is not a very good taste). Burger was alright there was pretty minimal toppings and it was a bit on the drier side...so maybe I should've used the gravy more; they said I could switch bleu cheese to cheddar, but they ended up giving me bleu cheese. We didn't say anything though...didn't want to wait another 30 mins for food. The potato mille-fiuelle was good though! $20 is pretty steep for it as an appetizer on its own, but I got it as part of the burger, so that was nice. Our food took over 30 mins to come out but the table besides us had it worse...they easily waited at least an hour (they had to follow up to see if their order was still coming...since people like us had gone from waiting for a table to getting food before they even got appetizers). The front of house didn't seem understaffed (3 waitresses for less than a dozen indoor/outdoor tables, and they were all very nice) but maybe the kitchen was For $50+ for two dishes not including tax and tip, I would not really recommend this place to anyone...
Wow, what an incredible place. The staff is so accommodating and polite. The restaurant is modern yet cozy and relaxing. The food was incredible all around. We had the Crepe Forestiere, Ham and Cheese Croissant, Potato Millie Fueille, Farmhouse Salad, Sausage dish. All foods were flavorful and fresh. Incredible experience. Will be back soon!
I came here for an acai bowl. Whenever I visit Honolulu, I like to try a new acai place, so I came here with a friend. The staff was very friendly. The place was lively with both locals and tourists. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from Ala Moana Shopping Center, so the location isn't very convenient for tourists. Rating: -Taste: 3/5 (average) -Portion size: 4/5 (just right) -Price: around $16 -Seating: 4/5 (comfortable indoor seating) -Location: 2/5 (a bit far for tourists) -Service: 5/5 (very friendly and helpful) Overall: 3.5/5 - Decent acai with excellent service, but the location makes it slightly inconvenient for visitors.

Farmhouse Cafe was a high and low foodie experience and it's not that time of the month for moi! Probably living in Japan has my standards up, but a simple greeting would be nice, right? My twin, really my best lady friend, wanted to treat me to brunch after my disappearing act in Asia. I wanted someplace easy to go to with good reviews. Farmhouse Cafe near Ala Moana Mall in the 808 building on Sheridan was my choice. Upon entering we were... eh, ngl we were not greeted and completely ignored. Alpha me could not just stand there, so after a few minutes, I looked at my twin and asked if she was up to going elsewhere. Instead she calmed me down and came to the conclusion they were understaffed. I didn't see it that way, I just saw inefficiency and zero common sense, so I decided to approach the counter even though a sign says to "Wait to be Seated". Ok, no problem waiting as long as someone greets us and tells us to wait! The lady at the counter next says to "just wait" huh? Hmm we are waiting, just acknowledge us or explain your waiting system. Jeezuz! I have low tolerance for people that won't admit mistakes or plain ignorant. So as we are waiting, the chef, Zouhair Zairi, approaches us and says to wait outside. I'm no stranger to French cuisine bro, so calm down and... and then he apologizes and explains how they are short staffed. Ah! I was tempted debating efficiency, politeness, but instead bit my tongue knowing my twin wanted to eat here. Besides she was right on they being understaffed. Oh nvm we are finally seated lol! We are handed the menus (finally) and explained to order the food and drinks at the same time by the chef! So odd, but having experienced French restaurants in the non touristy parts of Paris, I finally admitted to myself he wasn't intentionally being rude. All the time my twin only cared about what to drink lol! Let's ignore the chaos. Oui, oui! Wagyu Burger with Bleu Cheese, Demi-glace & Potato Mille-Feuille for the lady. Mediterranean Omelette with Feta, Potato Mille-Feuille, Buttered Toast with Fruit Jam for the gent. Two Hibiscus Iced Teas. French Beignets with Strawberry dip ordered for take-out. So let's talk the cuisine! If we're only reviewing the cuisine I'd be at 4-5 stars it was delicious! Everything organic, fresh, and tasty. I could taste the French in every bite and we were truly satisfied! To me, the Beignets that we shared afterwards was the star! In the end, it may have started with bad juju and my patience being tested, but fortunately I was with a kind soul that reminded me (& treated me sigh) that it may not be as it seems per se. Yes, they were understaffed, but in my eyes the three employees were sufficient if it flowed properly. Then again, we never know what's truly going on, right? In fairness, I need to mention others coming in after us were also confused and not welcomed from the start, so a universal meh. I'd return simply for the delicious cuisine by Chef Zairi, however take note that the ebb and flow of any business is just as important, especially with other $27 burger options out there! Au revoir! A cute breakfast brunch spot when I walked it. It's located in the 808 plaza along with a bunch of other eateries across from Walmart. I came here to try their burger coz it looked amazing in the photos. I also tried their beignets and the breakfast sandwich. I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich with the flattened croissant. It's your typical breakfast croissant that's on the oily side, nothing exceptional. The much anticipated burger however was too salty for my taste. I had to remove some of the spread as it's just more salt from the salted patty already. The meat quality was decent but honestly when the food was so salty, it wasn't enjoyable at all. The Mille-feuille potato was interesting, but it added a lot of grease to the already greasy burger. I only enjoyed the outer crispy part. The insides tasted just like regular potato. Also, it's definitely not worth $27 for this plate. The beignets looked off. The texture was way too soft. It wasn't worth the calories. Service was prompt and friendly. The ambiance was nice. However, the taste and the value would deter me from coming back.
I met up with some of girls at this cute little cafe on Sheridan. The Cafe is located in the 808 Center so if you are not familiar with the Center make sure you use the GPS to take you to the parking garage since you have to enter from Sheridan. The set up is very casual and open. It was pretty much packed when we came so service was a little slow and they appeared to need more help. I tried the Ham & Cheese Croissant which was perfect. The croissant was crisp on the outside and soft inside, so buttery and delicious. I also tried my friend's Crepe Forestiere which was even better. That will definitely be my pick next time as it was loaded with arugula and delicious wild mushrooms and cheese. The four of us shared an order of the Beignets with strawberry jam. Wow, I haven't had a perfect warm, crisp, tasty beignet in a while and it was heavenly. I think I would go back and eat the whole order myself next time. We also were treated to the Chef's special baked goods of the day and they were so yummy too. I am looking forward to my next visit!
Came here when we were in town for my baby's 3 month check-up appt. This has been on my go-to list for quite sometime. Parking is challenging, although it is advertised as parking lot, and valet, the valet guy told us it's only valet. They also advertise outside seating. There was a tiny table and 2 small chairs on a small lanai in front of the restaurant right next to the street. I wouldn't really call that outdoor seating. I was expecting a few tables under a nice covered area. Something cute like the cafe. The cafe inside was cute and homey. Food: I wanted something sweet and spicy so I ordered the banana crepes and the Mediterranean omelette. Both were delicious. The banana crepes are a big portion size so they are great for sharing. A little messy too! The omelette was good, it was a decent size and wasn't overstuffed with things, I loved the feta cheese. My hubby ordered the croque monsieur. It had a nice presentation. He enjoyed it and especially liked the mornay sauce. Next time I would like to try their potato Mille-feuille and beignets which is what they are known for. Chef ZZ was friendly and came out to talk to us. We told him we were traveling to Japan and he said he loved it and that we will enjoy all the food! He was very friendly and down to earth.

Found this cute little place on Yelp while looking for a brunch place. French was what struck me. Service is good, staff very friendly. We ordered: *The Gourmet Burger: Gorgonzola Bleu Cheese and onion date jam added a distinctly different flavour from the regular mayo, lettuce and tomato. Loved the Potato Mille-Feuille (thousand leaves in French). *The Barnyard Sandwich: this was so so. Brisket was tender although some slices were harder to bite off. *Crepe Forestiere: loved the taste and presentation of this dish *Açai Bowl: when in Hawaii, açai is a must! read more
This was a cute brunch spot! It's located in the 808 Center on the Rycroft side of the building. PARKING: this building has a cool valet garage system.... Like the ones they have in Japan.... If you choose not to valet.. there's a few street parking spots nearby ... or you can park at Walmart and walk over. We got here before 10am, and the valet guy wasn't there yet so we parked right in front. The entrance to the parking is on the Sheridan Street side of the building. LOCATION: they are on the Rycroft Street side of the building on the 1st floor. SERVICE: We were greeted right away... food came out timely and our waters were constantly filled. Service with a smile.. our server was awesome . FOOD: they have interesting menu items, this is what we got: POTATO MILLE-FEUILLE... 5/5 ... it was a a layered flaky potato.... I enjoyed peeling the layers and eating it. SIGNATURE BEIGNETS 5/5 this came out warm... moist.. delicious. The perfect way to start or end your brunch. OEUF EN MEURETTE 3/5: 2 poached eggs in a red-wine burgundy sauce, served on toast with pearl onions, mushrooms, & Lardon pork belly ---- The idea sounded delicious but I felt the red-wine burgundy taste was a bit strong and overpowered the flavor of the pork belly. Also, the toast underneath got really soggy because of the flavorful sauces on top. Not bad, but not my favorite DUCK EGG TARTINE 5/5: Open-faced sandwich with toast, herb ricotta, wild mushrooms, Chablis white wine, duck egg sunny-side up ----this was delicious.... The herb ricotta added a nice flavor to this open faced sandwich Overall, this place is a cute brunch spot. I like the decor I side and their different menu items. Definitely worth a try. read more

It was raining long and hard on Oahu, so our plan was to take a longish walk from our hotel to the Honolulu Museum of Art where we could shield ourselves from the torrential downpour. En route we found this popular little cafe in the Ala Moana neighborhood where Jamie W. and I snagged a table for two next to a couple who were obsessed with keeping their dog dry. They offered some delicious-sounding high-end breakfast options like the $25 Barcelona Omelette with chorizo iberico and the $24 Oeuf en Meurette with pork belly in a red wine burgundy sauce. We were both in the mood for something simpler and ordered the $15 Soft Scramble Omelette Parmesan & Herbs which came with toast and a bit of fresh fruit (photo: https://bit.ly/3mkVxfg). It was delicious and not too much since we probably saw more shave ice in our immediate future. Tables were turning over fairly quickly, but the chef stepped out of the kitchen and angrily snapped at the staff of three women waiting on all the customers. He reprimanded them for bringing too many orders into the kitchen. We were right underneath his vitriol, so it left a sour taste in our mouths. FOOD - 4 stars...the soft scramble was just the right amount of food on a rainy day AMBIANCE - 4 stars...percolating breakfast cafe scene SERVICE - 4 stars...the servers were quite dutiful but... Food is amazing, they are short staff today so the service took a while (about 20 mins before we can sit down even though there were open table, and another 20 mins before we can order). That being said, the food came out quick and it's so good. Got their burger and potato mille feuille and the beignets and both are so good. On the pricier side for brunch. read more
Super cool & cozy cafe. Plenty of parking across the street where Walmart is. I love a restaurant that has not too extensive menu and focusing on perfecting them. The mint tea (iced) was quite refreshing and the potato mille-feuille was unique and tasty. The burger was flavorful and hearty and I enjoyed my omelette. Forgot to take a photo of the beignets but they were also quite tasty. I could definitely see myself hanging out here with a good book (or a friend)! read more

A cute little brunch cafe that's somewhat refined and elevated compared to the usual spots. The interior is very cozy and I felt like I was transported to another city while inside. Very different vibe compared to the surrounding Keeaumoku area. I decided on the mushroom crepe, which comes with arugula and a poached egg on top. This was amazing, almost like a very thin crust pizza. Flavors were on point. I was worried it would be too small, but it was the perfect size and actually very filling! I tried some of the Barcelona omelette which was also amazing. The chorizo Iberico salami it comes with is so rich in flavor. Omelette is done French style so the center is soft and creamy with cheese. Of course we had to finish with the beignets which were delicious. We couldn't decide between the chocolate or strawberry sauce so we just got both! Beware, the beignets come out piping hot. The thing about this place is that I wanted to try literally every single item on the menu. Everything looked SO good. The only downside is the price. You pay for the quality for sure, though. I definitely need to make room in my budget for coming back to try more. read more
Small intimate brunch restaurant. I like the vibe and the decors. They run out of things on their menu throughout the day. Service: maybe they need more staff. It took awhile for them to give us water and the menu, we weren't greeted with a smile and they got our order wrong. But atleast they didn't charge us for the wrong order and we got to try another food on their menu. The chef was really nice though. Food was delicious. I liked it. Very filling though. I wish I got to taste the Portobello panini. My favorite was the beignet and the potato. Make sure you don't eat it by layers because all the salt is on top. First time here this morning and had breakfast. Mark H and I got here when they opened at 9 and were the second ones in the door. It's a pretty small place so by the time we were done eating it was just about full. We were served water in mason jars and both ordered some coffee to start out the meal. The menu is fairly small but with a good amount of options so we weren't overwhelmed at all. Also some specials offered for brunch which all looked good We ordered the Potato Mille Feuille to share and each got a crepe. I got the Crepe Parmentier and Mark H got the Complete. The crepe was served unfolded, mine was Gruyere, diced potatoes and sunny side up egg. Mark H's was pretty much the same except for his having ham as well. The crepes are made from buckwheat flour so they're Galette Bretonnes. They were delicious, nice and crispy with a light texture. Very good and definitely will have one again. The potatoes were also delicious, layers of super thin slices, pan baked, cooled, sliced into portions then fried. More crispy goodness with a soft interior. Another item I would definitely order again. They also offered some house-made harissa on the side that was delicious on the both the galettes and the potatoes. There's just something about a good thick spicy sauce when mixed with egg yolk that's just to die for. We did have Beignets on the brain when we first step foot inside but were nicely full after the crepes and potato...next time. Some things to know before you go... *Menu items are 100% organic. *Contactless payment with QR code to scan on your check. Pretty convenient. *Brunch is served all day but breakfast is served from 9 to 1130 and ONLY the breakfast items are available. First time to try this place and I highly recommend checking it out yourself. We were honored to have Chef ZZ chat with us in-between greeting other customers, cooking, etc. It's a cozy, inviting, and charming establishment. Our meals were delightfully exquisite. My belly was happy and my soul uplifted...that's how lovely this Cafe is. Check it yourself! read more
It's an awesome restaurant. The waitress or lady there greeted and seated us. She showed us their breakfast specials that they had for that day, Gypsy eggs were one them which we had and it was so good and fulfilling. Also tried their beignet with strawberry sauce...so delicious. It's a bit on the pricey side for most of their menu, and its a small menu. but it's worth trying once. The atmosphere is like a france vibe, which is pretty cool. The only difficult part about their location is finding parking. So they suggest finding street parking which is barely any. So we parked at Walmart and walked 3 minutes. Not bad at all. Also, they expect Google and Apple pay for those who like to go walletless read more

I arrived at Farmhouse Cafe during brunch time. I ordered the gourment burger ($25) which is pretty pricy for a burger but once the dish arrived. No wonder it's a bit pricier. This burger was big (8oz) it has onion date jam and bleu cheese with a demi-glaze on the side. I asked for medium-rare for my meat temp. The gourment burger also comes with potato mille-feuille which are thinly layer potatoes. The gourment burger was nice, and juicy. It was really good and the technique on those potato mille-feuille was nice to admire before eating them. I bought the farmhouse signature beignets which were light and a bit messy because of the powdered sugar. I ordered a side of strawberry jam to tip the beignets in. That was an extra $2 for the jam. You can order chocolate sauce too for extra charge. The service was lovely and both items were definitely delicious. The burger was worth the price. I end up saving half of it for my friend. Would I come back? Yes, definitely. read more

Y My friends and I happened upon this French bistro tucked inside Keeaumoku area! What an amazing surprise! Everything we had was perfectly prepared; the food was better than what I had in Paris just 6 months ago. Potato mille-feuille was crunchy outside with tender leaves of potatoes perfectly seasoned. It was offered with sauces but we chose to not have any which we were happy to eat plain. The delicious finely sliced ham in the croque monsieur was nestled between buttery, cheesy grilled bread. The two different preparations of crepe were out of this world, one with arugula and the other with potatoes. Herb omelet with homemade candy bacon was unrivaled and almost brought us to tears! And the beignets with chocolate sauce were crispy but so soft once bitten! Not one dish was average; every single one was perfectly executed! Can't wait to return to try other offerings!!! read more

A cross between a cafeteria of Spain and a cafe of France. It boasts a small, simple menu of breakfast and lunch selections centering around well sourced, organic ingredients. It's good. Get the potato mille feuille. Outstanding. layers of thin sliced potatoes dipped lovingly in clarified butter and stacked on one another before being baked, allowed to cool, cut into pieces and then fried. Creamy and rich inside, crisp on the outside. Heaven! It doesn't need the home made super spicy, thermonuclear ketchup. Also solid, the "Bocadillo" (Jamon serrano, grated tomato, arugula, and manchego cheese). Sounds simple, the flavors together, sublime. The sandwich is in perfect balance. Not over stuffed. For something heavier the "Gourmet Burger" (SRF American wagyu burger topped with bleu cheese, a date and caramelized onion jam, and a bun smeared with demi). All around great flavors that work to add complexity to a mildly sweet, beefy burger. A bargain at just $22.50. Minimal list of libations, it is a breakfast and lunch spot after all. Pretty good brunch place to go to with some few friends at the ground floor of 808 Center located diagonally across Walmart. I personally love the rustic vibes of the place. It's welcoming and love the overall interior design. Please do note that this is a cozy place and not suitable for a big big group of people. Customer service is okay. They're pretty packed here most of the times and they are just trying to serve every patrons that comes in. Order, pay, wait then go (I did takeout). Food is okay. My favorite is the quiche and second is the beignets. Food portion is not enough though so it leave you a bit hungry. If you got a big appetite and doesn't care of paying a lot on your food then this place is for you. I am still debating if I will come back here. Let's see in the future. First off- Food was great! Nothing too special like I'd want to come back but It definitely wasn't bad. We parked next to Margaritas which I was told was fine. We arrived at 10AM- Ordered our food by 10:10AM- We finally got our food by 10:56AM- It was a long wait for our meal and the servers did not inform us when or what is talking to long or did not apologize for us waiting for a while. There were only US and 2 other groups inside so they actually weren't that busy.. I could tell a lot of the other groups were upset and asked when their food was coming out? We got our Beignets first before our actual breakfast.. which was really weird for me.. Otherwise the service wasn't great. We didn't feel welcomed at all. Dinner extraordinaire with Moroccan-born Chef/Owner Zouhair Zairi aka Chef ZZ. Seven of us booked this private dinner event to enjoy Chef's special dishes. I didn't know what to expect as I have never been to Farmhouse Cafe but some of my friends have dined here during their regular opening hours and the reviews I have read on Yelp were good. I felt excited with anticipation of the food and dining experience ahead of us upon entering the restaurant as I took in the charming quaint decor. The server was friendly and welcoming and gave us excellent service. All the dishes we had were exceptional and I can't wait to get another group together to enjoy another private dining experience with Chef ZZ. read more

Bad Service and Bad Food. The potatoes are really great though! Other than that, I would not recommend this place at all. We ordered the burger and breakfast sandwich. Even when there aren't a lot of customers, the service is really weird and rude. Also the restroom experience is very uncomfortable since it seemed like someone lived there and you were invading their space. read more

Very cute French? Inspired brunch spot. Cold brew was on point! Really loved the quiche and duck egg mushroom tartine. Get harrisa sauce with Potatoes mille Feuille if you like spicy. My daughter and I had a day off today so we wanted to have a nice lunch together. My daughter researched for some cafes and came across Farmhouse! I love this place. It's so quaint and the decor and music is so beautiful. Good is so delish. It's very different than what I am used to but it was so tasty! My daughter got the duck poutine and I opted for the toast with kale and egg. I don't like kale, but decided to try it and I was so happy I did. Ended our meal with some beignets. Wowwww! I was looking through Yelp for a good place for lunch. I came across the Farmhouse café. Conveniently located close to Walmart Keeamoku, I decided to give them a try. Also, very interested in trying their beignets. I planned lunch date with a good friend of mine for 11 AM. I tried to make reservations, but didn't hear back from them, but figured it wouldn't be busy at 11 AM. First thing that I noticed was at this restaurant is very small. It has cute decor, and a European feel. My friend ordered the ham and cheese croissant, I ordered the chicken sandwich, but was told that that was on the lunch menu, and they serve breakfast until 11:30 AM. A little surprising, but I told him that I would wait so we ordered our food at 11:15. The food did not arrive until about 12 o'clock which was surprising, since the restaurant was almost empty. We also ordered the cold brew coffee, and the beignets. The cold brew coffee was very smooth and the beignets with chocolate sauce were excellent! We definitely should have gotten two orders!! Chicken sandwich was very average. It was dry, did not have much chicken in, and lacked any real taste. Pretty disappointing for a $20 sandwich. The ham and cheese croissant was also $20 and beignets were $10. Overall just average. Probably would not return. read more
March 29, 2023 @ 1026 Location: Sheridan Street (Near WalMart) Parking: Couldn't find parking so parked at WalMart and walked across the street. Our waitress informed us that there was valet parking with a few stalls. Service: Wasn't too crowded, so we were seated right away by a friendly hostess/server. Ambiance: Probably the best I've ever seen. Temperature was just right, the lighting was perfect and the background music was relaxing. I wanted to chill here all day. We started our visit with calling to ask if there were open tables. Whoever answered the phone was pretty rude. She sounded irritated that I had called. I asked if tables were available and if it's free seating and she said my question was confusing. Then she said there was seating available. When my friend and I arrived there were actually no available tables (which isn't their fault) but we were pretty harshly told that we would need to wait outside. There was no one to greet us at the door and to let us know that before we tried to sit. One of the employees was also very rude to another group waiting outside, saying they should have made a reservation if they wanted to sit. We waited for a bit and then were seated. The pricing is pretty expensive for the portions. We ordered a burger and beignets to share. The burger was okay. The bread was good but the blue cheese overpowers the taste of the burger and the sauce that comes with it was kind of bland. The potatoes that come with it are a cool idea but they desperately needed salt and a crispier outside. The beignets were underdone but if they'd been more cooked they'd actually have been nice. On top of that the food took a while to get to us. It was busy and they said they were understaffed so we gave an extra star because of that. Overall... underwhelming.
