This is a Chicago company that I'm glad has landed in Cleveland. I was never a fan of Subway or any of those other places. Potbelly is different. How? Allow me to explain. First, I'll tell you what I usually get, then build from there. I love their turkey, Swiss, and avocado--my absolute fave. Their Italian "Wreck" is Ah-Mazing. The new prime rib is also excellent. For these sandwiches to work, you really need to start with fresh ingredients, or they'll be awful. After they come out of the oven, they add the avocado. I usually add the lettuce, onion, tomato, and a heaping helping of mayo and giardiniera or hot peppers. They're SO good. Their sandwiches are stuffed with ingredients, regardless of which size you get. The Skinny is filling; that's their smallest size. But wait, there's more! Their bagged chips are sui generis to Potbelly. I haven't even seen them sold in Chicago. But they pair perfectly with their sandwiches. Now, I recommend washing this all down with a bit of sweetness. Their Dream Bars are AH-MAZING. Grab one, even if you save it for later. I love them. I'm a big fan of their lemonade because I'm just sick of carbonated sodas. Folks, Clevelanders....it's worth your while to give this place an honest shot! Potbelly... bring back the PB&J! Nothing like a good, toasted, PB&J!

You order food at the counter, online or at the drive thru and they do have indoor seating. The menu consisted of soup, salad, deli sandwiches and spuds (baked potatoes). They offer a "choose 2" option, which is 1/2 soup, salad, sandwich or spud + another half for $10.99. There is an up charge for Premium options that are marked with a red "P". My total was $12.19 including tip for the Choose 2. I tried the 1/2 spud with chili and cheese and 1/2 grilled chicken club sandwich. Food was fresh and came out quickly. Service was Excellent! Nice decor too with big screen TV's and clean restrooms.Highly recommend McAlister's!

I did want the sauerkraut to have more tang, and I think the dressing got somewhat lost in the mix, but I still thought it was a tasty sandwich. The $12.99 price tag also came with a pickle and a small side of unremarkable but serviceable potato salad. I was pleased to see that the soda fountain came stocked with Diet Dr. Pepper. I'm accustomed to restaurants only offering diet Coke/Pepsi for zero-sugar soda options. For dessert, I got a slice of the Colossal Carrot Cake, which didn't quite live up to its name, though it was a sizeable slice. The cake was moist, and if you like carrot cake, you'll probably be happy with McAlister's. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean.

Whether you are grabbing a coffee and muffin, curling up with a book or doing homework this is the blend to be. It's popular with students, with educators, with local residents, and with whomever has had it recommended to them ... like me. I have had two people tell me about Cafe Ah-Roma and one was a local friend who now prefers coffeehouses in suburbs closer to the lake. Regardless, everyone you ask about it seems to know exactly where Cafe Ah-Roma is. When first told about it, I thought it had something to do with Rome. It then became very obvious it's a play on the word aroma that will additionally have you making an "ah" sound for relief and/or elation. The interior is comfortable like an old shoe and, based on the postings, art work, and vibe, the store has real connectedness to its community. Note that this area leans slightly liberal but not ridiculously so. That means you might even see a Karen or two in here. Also, true to the notion that "culture comes from the top down," the staff that helps you, often students, are very polite and customer-focused when the chain coffeehouses are almost at the point of sliding things at you. These are good values that the owners are passing on to employees and, here, it's about the customers. They want to know that you are happy with your purchase. I want to add that, to go with your coffee or tea, they have cookies, pastries, or could put together something savory for you. In my case, I added a tomato basil bagel with a vegetable spread that they made for me. It's all good. The prices for menu items are also fair. This coffeehouse is in the suburb immediately south of the international airport. Only a few hotels are north of CLE, with most of them being south in Berea or Middleburg Heights. If staying at a nearby hotel, this locale is nearby. Cafe Ah-Roma is for everyone and the broad customer base is really interesting. In more temperate weather, there are exterior chairs and tables under the covered walkway to nearby stores. The interior is fairly spacious and bright. In closing, Ah-Roma deserves high marks for being a good coffeehouse (4 stars) and then some, hence 5 stars.

My search didn't take me long, as I quickly found Express Deli: 5 minutes from the airport with an absurdly good rating. I don't always love ruben's, mostly because I'm not the biggest corn beef fan, but when they are done well, I am down. And I figured a place with a 4.9 rating would probably hit the spot. I think it did! I assume the mustached man who was a mirror image of the mascot was the owner, and he couldn't have been friendlier. There were only a couple of tables in here, so we sat down to ate, while a steady crowd of pick-up orders flowed through on a Friday at lunch time. My friend absolutely *insisted* I mention that they do not have parking spot lines painted in their lot. I am not one to turn down a dare, but I also acknowledge that these are the most inconsequential words I've ever typed in over 3,500 reviews. If you were to rank my priorities when evaluating a sandwich, the parking spot lines wouldn't crack the top 500. But my job is done here.

I stopped in last minute while out running errands. I was seated immediately on a busy Saturday late morning and greeted right after. The menu is fantastic. Great options, wonderful seasonal specials. (Short rib omelette?! Hell yes!) I wanted basic, so I built my own omelette with a side of bacon and a hot tea. My meal was out in just minutes. Expertly prepared, fresh and delicious. Also a very nice portion. Sourdough toast was excellent. Generous filling for the omelette too. The only drawback was a common plight for strip mall restaurants- entrance that opens straight into the dining room. No foyer or vestibule means the cold January air nipped you in the face every time that front door opened. On cold days, get a table in the back. I'd like to highlight the mocktail concept, too.
