Have had a few interactions with this particular location and none of the interactions have been really positive. My first bad experience was when i tried bringing in my 1.5 year old (who is disabled) who was in his stroller. Unfortunately i was told they do not allow children in the store, which i understood. I asked my partner to take the baby to the car while i looked around the store. It was already an uncomfortable situation, but the 4-5 workers in the store just gathered by the cash register and whispered things as i walked around the store. Honestly i didn't purchase anything because no one asked if i was looking for something particular or even approaching me at all. Then my 2nd interaction was most recently. I had bought a shirt and dress from the store. The very next day i realized they had left the plastic gadget that is to alert stealing thing on one of my shirts. When i walked in the store to ask if they could remove it, the manager asked for the receipt right away. Understandable but how about oh I'm sorry about you having to come back to the store or anything. Not a pleasant experience either time. Sad because i live so close to this location but i am now having to travel to the further locations for better assistance. And I've been a customer for 12+ years but i am guessing it's time to stop shopping there in general. read more

Yep. Same 'spikey grey haired lady" was not at all helpful and very pushy. She did not offer to sell batteries to me or demonstrate the item to see if I liked rumbly or buzzy. A big diference. The manager was supposed to call me back and never did. $100 going into the garbage. The older woman talked me into buying two!!!!! So now I have two non functional products and they said they do not do exchanges even if the box has not been opened. Manager!!!! Serve your former loyal clients. I have a medical condition - medically exempt. CAN'T wear a mask & due to privacy laws that's the speech I give when I walk into stores. Legally all stores continue to let me in. (I do not go in public if I am sick) This store claims because they are "private" they can't allow me to come in. I personally found this very discriminating & rude.. BUT the lady (didn't get her name) behind the counter can keep her mask half way down her face while dealing with customers. I won't be purchasing from this store again they lost my business. read more

With all the local stores I'd say DO NOT support this one!! Looking for my size and the manager or associate made a comment about it and my body 3x making me feel Uncomfortable and unwelcome. Commenting on the size I was asking for and referring to them as "disproportionate" multiple times, only to be left feeling crappy about myself. Some heavyset woman with glasses.. she should really learn how to treat people or be fired. The other younger blonde associate even seemed bothered by her - and the only one that was actually trying to help me. Needless to say I'll be taking my business elsewhere. If you want to feel good when shopping at a place like this do not go here!!!! I am completely disappointed by this visit. read more

Went in this morning to browse as I've been considering a new toy but haven't been able to quite narrow it down. I used to work for the company and my partner is also well educated, so I do know essentially what I'm looking for. I was greeted by a seemingly pleasant, older, spiky gray-haired woman and I assured her that I was just having a look around. I understand checking on people in the store as I do have extensive experience in retail, but I can honestly say I felt less threatened when a shark swam under my surf board. This woman would not stop circling me and pushing these combo pack toys because of what a great value they are. Even when I told her I already have one or both of the toys in these combo packs. She was never more than ten feet from me and had a hacking cough that made me yearn for the days of mask mandates. I did wind up finding something I had wanted to look at and I had some questions about a brand I'm unfamiliar with, but her beyond pushy, hard-sell approach pushed me right out the door. I'd rather make the drive out to Castle, honestly. Also upon reading some other reviews, I see several instances where the same employee is described behaving the same way, so clearly corporate doesn't care that she's making customers uncomfortable. read more
