For a small hole in the wall, I was impressed lol. I was craving just being a fattie for the day and wanted a buffet. I found this and looked at the pictures and said it was happening. No regrets. There's a pretty large variety of foods here and their PLANTAINS .... to die for haha. That's really why I went lol. I wanted plantains but was too lazy to fry them myself haha. Definitely would go again. All the food was good even the sushi but I didn't eat too much just because I've had bad experiences elsewhere and didn't want to test it. The hot food bar is AMAZING. Only thing is the dessert bar is lacking a bit and I wish the fruit they had out was a bit riper. But besides that, it was great for the price. We go to this buffet every month or so. Nice enough staff, fresh hot food. Cleanliness is pretty good for a buffet setting ( it can get messy especially with kids serving themselves) The Mongolian Grill is the bomb!! read more

This is my favorite chinese food buffet that I have ever visited. If I travel to San Diego I always make an effort to visit. This last time I found out they have a 2nd restaurant in san marcos. The food is fresh and tastes excellent. The staff is friendly enough but I like to see smiles more. The food is so good though that I don't even care. I'm coming back to san diego Diego the 30th. Nice selection of Asian food for the price. They have a Mongolian grill that is pretty good.

They have the type of food that gives you heart burn and tummy aches. Very greasy. You get what you pay for though, it's about $12 per person to dine it. The serving area was quiet small considering how big the dining area was. It was extremely crowded when I went in so I had to wait in line to serve myself. I have seen great restaurants run in to the dirt by bad managers... The food here is great but what I saw today was pathetic. Unruly kids CRAWLING under tables.... The mens room looked like a college prank had TP'ed the place and I saw the new lady who stocks the buffet tables actually FLICK some shrimp that was NOT in the serving pan BACK into the pan. Now before you ask " Did you tell managent ?"... No I didn't t... I couldn't. ..I timed this..she was on a cordless phone on a conversation that lasted 30 minutes....she worked the register, escorted customers to tables all the while talking. Business call ?? We just ate here last Sunday, and we will never go again! Rude people work there! My husband ordered coffee, and it was instant coffee! Yuck! He grabbed the 1st person who walked by, and she happened to be the hostess. He asked her if it was fresh coffee, and she said yes we pour hot water into a cup and then add coffee. He said he did not like it, and she said very rudely, "Well what do you want me to do?!". My husband looked at her in shock, so I said "Not charge us for the coffee." She walked away, and then a server comes and grabs the coffee without a word. The hostess was rude, and the server was rude. The food was mediocre. read more

It has improved since the last time I was here as far as selections go. The salad bar is still my to with tons of mixings. However... there are still unidentifiable meat dishes, they are marked as chicken but I can't identify what it is. The only chicken dish that looked and tasted like chicken was the teriyaki chicken and the wings. Not sure what the mushrooms are stuffed with but they lacked in flavor and the texture was mushy. This is my Filipino grandmother's favorite spot. We've gone here a few times during holidays and they are open. It's great for large groups. As far as the food it's hit or miss, just like most buffets. There's a good amount of food to choose from so you're a picky eater like myself you'll find at least something to eat there. read more

A friend & I went here for lunch just last week. We both ended up with a potty problem. (I think the salmon was to greasy) My friend called them the next day to let them know that something wasn't right with the salmon, since both of us got ill. But the manager wasn't having it! Said no one has every complained & we were trying to make trouble . . . that there is nothing wrong with their food & if we don't like it don't come back!! WOW . . This was our time there and definitely our last one. The service was poor, the place smelled and the food was tasteless. We had to call the waiter to get refills, he never offered/ asked if he needed refills. He wasn't nice at all. Very poor service. This place was disappointing. I thought it would be different from Old Town Buffet and The Buffet as it has been previously but it was not. The signs about billing you for "wasting food" are kind of nerve wracking. It does not specify how much is actually considered "wasted food". The wait staff were grabbing plates before we were finished and then gave us our bill after a few plates as if to say, "it's time for you to leave now". The food was typical buffet food and the sushi is as expected from a buffet (sitting out for long periods of time). The only reason I give it 3 stars is because of the Hibachi grill. You are able to choose any raw ingredients you want and they will grill it right there for you. It was by far the best part of the restaurant. The chef did a good job there but I don't think I will be returning because of the other aspects. However, they are always crowded so other people may feel differently.
