Fasia Buffet's Mongolian BBQ grill is acceptable, but they need better sauces like Pala Buffet's Korean BBQ sauces. Pala has the best Mongolian BBQ in San Diego County and lots of rare veggies, but their buffet is closed right now due...

anything you put on it is not going to help it. It is too far gone. It's disgusting! I wish they had egg fu yung patties. Those are my favorite when they are not greasy. Overall, it is worth the drive of 30 minutes probably because their price is right and their only competitor in the area now is Pan Asia Buffet (who also puts salty cheese on their salmon. SMH). This Covid-19 sucks as almost every buffet has gone out of business, and liberal politicians are not helping matters as they keep shutting everything down while states with conservative politicians have kept restaurants open with no problems. I will continue coming to Fasia Buffet until something opens up that is closer to me and/or better like the casino buffets. I find that Fasia buffet is acceptable. Thus, I can find enough decent foods to make eating here worthwhile.

the cob & pineapple was a 5/10. The white cake was a 6/10 and the dark cake a 4/10. When I walked in the place had a strong odor, like it had never been cleaned properly. The place wasn't noticeably dirty, but it was noticeably worn, like it had been here for 30 years and they had done little to no maintenance. They had the front door propped open and it was 80° and I was hot. Who likes to eat hot food when they're sweating? The server was fanning herself. Back by the grill, there's a really harsh odor, almost like a sewer odor. I used the bathroom and found it in disarray. No paper towels to wipe your hands on. By the pictures in the review, you can clearly see there is no maintenance or even caring going on here. I was here for an hour before she came and picked up my plates. You can see her sitting down watching videos on her phone. You have to get your own food, get your own silverware and get your own soft drinks & refills. After the first few bites, I contemplating asking for a refund, but I didn't want to argue with anyone. I thought "maybe I'll try some more items and there will be at least two or three items that taste good." I was wrong! I wasted $20 bucks! That's why I almost never try a new restaurant or buffet. Learn from my experience. It's really sad because I love Chinese buffets. There's one in National City, next to Peter Piper Pizza called "China Super Buffet" that is an 8/10.

Well my Foodie Friends it's been awile since I've visited my favorite Asian Seafood Buffet. Visited 9/14/2025 I must say it's as good as I remember it always being. Todays Sunday Brunch (Good all Day) was Fresh and plentiful and had a Great Selection. As always Shrimp Galore. It's where I go when I want a large selection of different shrimp dishes. All you see here and a lot more was Only $22.50 with my Senior Discount including my drink. There is a Tasty Teppanyaki Grill with a great grill master. Lots of Fresh Veggies and other items to choose from.

Soups, Salads, Ribs, Chicken Wings, even Pizza for the kids, Vegetable Dishes and much more to munch on. Made me wish I could eat much more each visit. It's a good thing I don't live close by. Anyway it's a great Buffet and much...

The orange chicken had little flavor 2/10, I had to spit it out. The Thai chicken was dry and had a weird aftertaste, 2/10. I had them cook some teriyaki chicken with sprouts, egg, mushrooms etc. on their grill and it was very watery...

The pizza was a 1/10, I don't think I would even consider it pizza. The fried rice was a 4/10. There was something black on my coconut macaroon, 2/10, you can see it in the picture. I did try two other coconut macaroons, 5/10. I had a small muffin and it was so weird tasting, I had to split it out, 1/10. I have never spit out a muffin in my life. with the exception of the spring rolls( frozen out of a box you get from Costco More Institutional and the Orange Chicken...spicey but meh ) considering you pull in the parking lot and you wonder if was open. Place was about 1/4...

full. There was caution tape on the from door and the floor next to us.....( i was looking for a chalk outline to be honest...lol ). It's $22/pp all day Su day but 10% discount 60 yrs old or higher. You pay as you walk in ( i am assuming a lot of Dine and dash happens ). The drinks are included but you have to ho behind the waitress station. And get it yourself. When you pay..it give option for tip..who tips before the meal. Only time you see one of the waitresses is at clean up...if course they took my plate and left my wife's...so food is relatively good and not as expensive as other places...service...Non Existent. Decor...strip mall chic...no decorations....caution tape and the 2 tvs were not on for kids. There is a Mongolian bar but I did not try it. I can say I was happy to see Pepsi but I could have saved money and cooked at home but like I said..food taste was pretty goodg

I took my parents here because they do usually enjoy the Asian buffets in North County. I saw that this was the sister buffet to Pan Asia Buffet in San Marcos, so we decided to come here! The ambiance inside is very modern, clean, and much more spacious. I think I actually liked this location better than the San Marcos one, which is strange because you wouldn't expect the interior to look the way it did from the outside. This buffet offers all assortments of food: the Mongolian grill, meats, seafood, Chinese food, American food, and the salad/fruits bar with the dessert bar. My parents seemed to enjoy the food, it's a pretty good price for a Sunday dinner with seafood. The sushi and fish were fresh, and the fried soft-shell crab was really yummy. Can't really complain as all Asian buffets have the same assortment of foods. I give it 4 stars for cleanliness, but the sushi bar was taking forever to get refilled again while we were waiting for certain fish to get. Service is good, they seem to grab empty plates pretty quickly. You have a self-serve for unlimited drinks and teas so you really don't have the need to get served much. We still tipped a bit for the bussers at least.

Most of the staff are friendly. Food was great, good selection. Price on par with other establishments. Discounts for Seniors 10%. One minor problem, they dont like waste, so be sure to take only what you can eat. Decor is slightly bare and outdated. But overall a good experience.

I eat at Chinese buffets all over San Diego. This is by far the worst I have ever eaten in my life, anywhere. This is what happens when you have owners or managers that do not care! The food was so bad, I had to spit it some of it out. The Teriyaki chicken had little flavor 3/10. The orange chicken had little flavor 2/10, I had to spit it out. Sunday Buffet has sushi, egg rolls, lobster rolls, orange chicken, beef & broccoli, thick noodles, and baked oysters.

This buffet experience cost $$ (the most on Sundays). The variety of foods was great. There was even pizza and fries for the picky child eater. The restaurant itself has soft wood tones. It would have been better if the dirty forks weren't in buckets right next to where customers can fill up their soda. There were two kind ladies going around each table picking up finished plates. Overall, I had a great time with my large party. Everyone could fill their plates how they like. Go for more when they like.

Our family have been dining here for many years. The staff have become a second family to us. They are very welcoming and the food is always served fresh and very appetizing. The prices are very reasonable for a buffet style restaurant. It is self serve and includes beverage. We recently held a Celebration of Life for a loving member of our family. He dined there on a regular basis and his request was to have his Celebration of Life at Fasia Buffet. It was held in the restaurant's private banquet room which I believe has a capacity of 90' people. We were able to set up nice tables with memories of our passing family member. A nice feature was the large flatscreenTV which we were able to stream a video/slideshow of memories. I highly recommend this restaurant whether you are dining for lunch or dinner or a large private party in their banquet room.

They need to clean the entire establishment, mainly the utensils, improve the food, The folder, it is very dirty until it is disgusting to see it, they are picking up the garbage with the broom and dustpan, there are so many devices that do not raise dust and you can keep clean that establishment must be out of service for the hygiene you need..! read more

Came for lunch on a Saturday. Actually everything was very good including service. Couldn't really fault anything including the service (probably only the roast beef or the salmon weren't as great as the rest of the food) and for just under ten dollars it was a four star experience. They do charge for any beverage other than water. It's not an upscale experience but the eatin's good! Staff seemed exceptionally friendly and helpful this last visit. read more

This place didn't disappoint! We did carry out, stacked our plate until it couldn't close and walked out paying about $23.... Well worth it. I believe it was $6.99 a pound. Can't go wrong with a buffet-to-go!! read more

This place is fantastic. Little bit pricey for dinner and on weekends but definitely worth it because of their quality of food and staff who is always on point getting your plates out your way. They have a fountain drink machine that is absolute quality. Tropicana pink lemonade for the win. I love coming here for lunch. read more

I like their tents outside. It's pretty cool eating outside. That would be great if they would continue to do that when Covid-19 is forever gone. Their salmon is pretty good, but it appears that they put cheese on it. I try to find pieces where they missed the cheese. Cheese on fish is a culinary faux pas and certainly not healthy. I think health food nuts like to eat fish cuz it is very healthy, and junk food junkies prefer beef and pork. JMHO. However, it's no secret that cheese on fish makes fish unhealthy. You will never find cheese on fish in China or Asia. People who eat beef and pork generally will eat anything from my experience and probably would not object to eating cheese on fish so I imagine that is why they put salty cheese on their salmon. It attracts the junk food junkies as all the salt in fatty cheese tricks the brain by improving the flavor. Plus, too much greasy fat causes pimples and skin problems. As for salt, If I get too much salt eating out, I'll be drinking water all night long from being thirsty and my food can't digest until all the water is digested out. In other words, drinking lots of water inhibits digestion as the stomach must get all the water out before it can start digesting the food. Cheese is loaded with salt. That's in addition to all the salt they already add to all their food. Salmon doesn't need salty cheese as it is delicious just the way it is. I try to pick healthy foods at a buffet as I exercise regularly and like being fit. Consequently, I wish they would stop putting salty cheese on their salmon. The fat in cheese that drips into the salmon is poor quality fat where the fat in salmon is the best quality omega fat that cleans the arteries and builds your immune system by stimulating white blood cells that fight viruses. Yes, I took a course in Hematology (the study of blood), in graduate school so I can tell you all about the blood and how it works. Fasia Buffet's Mongolian BBQ grill is acceptable, but they need better sauces like Pala Buffet's Korean BBQ sauces. Pala has the best Mongolian BBQ in San Diego County and lots of rare veggies, but their buffet is closed right now due to Covid-19. Fasia Buffet's ice cream is their weakest link. It is more like a flavorless ice milk dessert. Sadly, anything you put on it is not going to help it. It is too far gone. It's disgusting! I wish they had egg fu yung patties. I hadn't been here in several years and was looking forward to it. However, it was a disappointing experience as the food is average and a lot of it taste old. This place has extremely poor customer service. We were a party of nine and were not allowed to sit until our entire party was present (even though we were all paying separate). Additionally, we were all charged a 12% gratuity fee because we were a large party. Once we began eating the cashier came to our table and told us someone had forgotten to pay (which we didn't). She did not apologize when she realized she was mistaken. More so, the employee that was picking up our plates was aggressive an rude almost hitting one of our guests arm as she was taking the plates away. I will not be coming back here again and do not recommend this place. read more

The looks of this place is a little deceiving. Our first impression wasn't very good. It's in a slightly run down center and the restaurant itself is a bit run down. There are water stains on the ceiling and the tables and decor look old. Having said all that, the food is really pretty good and you don't have to wait to be seated or for food to be ready. The Chinese selection is good. And the sushi bar has a lot of choices. Overall we liked this place and would recommend it for a quick bite. Prices are fair. read more

Closes at 9:30, we get there at 8:58. They say it's okay but we should pay first. $33 with a $7 tip, so $40 for two. The sushi was gone. Sauces were gone. Raw food section gone. Most of the desserts, gone. I understand you closed in half an hour, but 1. 9:30 is 9:30 and 2. How dare you charge full price when you barely had what you charge so much for? Employees were rolling trash cans around the restaurant as we sat down; fittingly, our experience was trash. read more

All you can for 21.99 which includes your drink. Great steak and seafood. Crab legs, shrimp, clams, sushi, steak, chicken, soups, salads and desserts. Best deal I've seen in some time. The flavor of the food was delicious. read more

Went around 7 PM. Food was good. They made some fresh ones for certain ones. Decided to grab beef and broccoli and calamari plus other things for my second plate. Finished the beef and broccoli and saw a small caterpillar on my calamari. Pretty sure it was from the broccoli. All in all, food is good for being a lower end buffet, but I will never come back cuz of the caterpillar. read more

An excellent value buffet if I say so. Plentiful selection including the Mongolian BBQ grill and sushi. I especially like the fried shrimp and the fried calamari tentacles. Also bonus points for the fried plantains. The restrooms were above average compared to typical Chinese buffets like this. The service was excellent. The servers were attentive. I would definitely come back if I am in the area. read more

I've tried a few buffets in San Diego and overall for a buffet this is a good one. The food is good for the most part. You cant beat it for half the price of your usual buffets around san diego. My family and I had a pleasant lunch their today black friday. I will be back. The staff seemed to mind their own business, clear plates, keep drinks coming. They have sushi which I thought was ok. The shrimp in white sauce, broccoli beef, mushroom chicken, desserts and fried rice, these were all good. I definately recommend you try this place out. read more

Food is cold. Vanilla pudding was sour, must be expired. Wan tons were not crispy they were old and chewey not crispy, fried shrimp was cold. Green beans, cold. Coconut shrimp was hot and good. Coctail shrimp was good. Not much else was any good. Oh. Soda was good. $86.16 for 3 adults and 1 kid. Just because tge health score was 95 doeant mean it is a good place. read more

Their food was good and specially sushi bar. There aren't many foods options in comparing with other buffet restaurants. However, it is decent amount of options since their price is cheaper than others. I paid at counter and everything seems self-service. I liked it and want to go visit again. read more

Mom wanted to go to a Chinese food buffet so we found this one online. Called in to reserve a table for 12 and they sounded super nice. When I showed up they took us to the back room that was full of cardboard boxes and smelled bad. The food was your typical buffet food, nothing was really good or stood out. Unfortunately, everyone got a stomach ache after leaving! They were sending me pictures of the pepto or alka seltzer they had to take ‍- so embarrassing! The service.... The receptionist was rude to every single one of my guest. Everyone who came in said they were rude to them for no reason. We got soda in a cup, whatever kind you ask for when you pay and then they left 2 extra pitchers on our tables. But the drinks were all hot for some reason. Imaging drinking warm soda. Also, they charge you for the tip up front without asking. I paid for 4 adults and it was almost $100! When I looked at the receipt it was the charge for each adult, the charge for each drink and then there was a $9 dollar "tip" added.. I'm sorry, I know some restaurants may be struggling right now but this one ain't it.. with the bad food, those prices and the service I do not recommended it to anybody. read more

So this is your typical Asian cuisine buffet. It was good. Nothing to write home about but also nothing to really complain about food wise. But let's talk about the cleanliness of the place... Horrendous. They literally need to shut down for like a week and scrub the place down. The windows the seats the tables the condiments were all sticky dusty dirty. read more

Today we went to Fasia Buffet for the first time since they closed for the pandemic. The food was just as we remembered it, but there have been some changes as well: --The plates, glasses and silverware have been replaced with Styrofoam and plastic. Not sure what the purpose of this change is, but it is certainly not environmentally friendly to use all of these disposable items. --There are signs at the entrance and inside the restaurant saying that plastic gloves (that they provide) and masks are required at the buffet. I think this is an excellent plan, but unfortunately it is not enforced. Most people complied, but some did not and nothing was said to them. One woman was observed wiping her hands on her (maskless) mouth and nose while approaching the buffet. I realize that nobody wants to have a confrontation over masks and gloves with a possibly unhinged customer, but this is a health and safety issue. read more

FOOD IS COLD. I am sure they won't pass a state inspection and they are being reported. It used to be a crowded place but now it is dying. No more bus boys for table clearing. Now you must buy a drink as it is added to the bill anyway. And you need to go to the fountain drink station where the employees work to get your glass, ice and drink. The only serve Pepsi not Coca Cola. Employee station is unclean. DON'T EAT HERE.. read more

I just for to post my review. Was there for dinner on a Sunday, wasn't busy but ok. The staff takes forever to seat you and I felt like they just wanted you in and out, not very welcoming, all were orientals. As far as the food was concerned it was just ok. Not a very big selection and just eat and left. By the way, while I was there a man, who was not blind, walked in with his dog, got his food to go and left. I didn't know you could bring dogs into this place. That was the last time I went there. read more

Usually at buffets I pick and eat certain things because I don't like it all but everything I got here was pretty good. I try to get the plates with the most vegetables and "healthier options" and most of the times it's pretty bland. But I enjoyed the salmon and all veggie plates here! Pretty good flavor. read more

The buffet is good but HEADS UP! They do NOT always charge you the right amount written on the board. I asked them why they charged me for dinner price of $45 for 2 people when we are here at 3pm. I was supposed to be charged for the lunch price but she kept arguing with me. My boyfriend and I will think twice before going here again. read more

Sucked majorly. I made the mistake of even thinking about coming here, then I chose to be stupid by actually showing up. I paid 40 bucks for some mediocre food. The only thing good from here was the coconut shrimp, which is the only reason it's getting 2 stars. Regardless, it wasn't worth the 40. read more

Good food, poor service. To start, one of the employees took a plate that was still in front of me with food and my fork in top. Ok, honest mistake. I got up for another plate, but when I returned two of the male employees were leaning on my table talking to two female employees on the other side. They saw me, apologized, and let me sit, but then they continued to talk over me! You have to understand, they weren't just talking next to me, they were literally talking ACROSS MY TABLE as I was trying to eat in the middle of their conversation. I was going to mention this incident when paying, but the woman at the counter rushed me out. She asked for my receipt twice before the person in front of me had even reached a pen to sign her bill. As I was signing my bill, I realized she had been talking to someone on her AirPods the whole time! I guess that phone call was more important than making a final impression. Food was not bad, but the people left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

So we arrived two hours before closing on a Wednesday. The food that was out was dry and not appetizing and it wasn't replaced in the entirety that we were there. I couldn't even bite the garlic bread. And it is truly self serve. There was no one at the hibachi until I asked twice and everyone else was on their phones. At 45.33 for two people a bland bowl of Rice Krispies would have left me less disappointed read more

If I can give no stars i would. I was done eating and waiting for my husband and child to finish eating and there was a roach on the table next to my husband's plate. Very discussing . Will never eat here again makes me wonder wtf the kitchen looks like. That roach was fat asf. Some Sunday outing. read more

They don't care anymore? Everything is dirty. Floor, seats, food area. The drains around food area look disgusting. I lost my appetite, it makes me wonder how the kitchen looks. Trash containers are left out, not far from tables. Saw someone restock utensils with no gloves. To top things off, it smelled like feet in the dining area. Family and I were not offered a refill on our drinks and our plates were not picked up quickly like before( 2 years ago). Food tasted old. "Sushi" was brown from being there so long. They really need to remodel, change the seating (falling apart and look dirty), get carpet cleaned or replaced (water damage and dirty). Get someone to deep clean. Who's the manager? They're not doing a good job. read more

A+ Service! The buffet was well stocked, wide choice to choose from everything from seafood to ribs, to salad, and dessert. Oh yeah and they even have things like pizza, fries, fruit and jello for kids! It's super affordable too. The two of us, our final bill was less than going out to pizza. This is the best Chinese food that we found in San Diego since moving here from NorCal. Two thumbs up!! read more

My wife and I came in on a weeknight while we were in town working. I have to say, this place is pretty good. It pretty much is your typical Asian style buffet but most of every item we put on our plate, we finished. Very flavorful, of course oily, but it got me wanting more. I think my favorite was the Mongolian bbq. You get to choose your own veggies and raw meat, but the chef get to decide what sauce and how much to put in. I like that because he puts just the right amount to make the dish delicious. I would come back here if I want buffet style food. read more

I wanted to give this buffet the benefit of the doubt after reading the four star reviews, but left disappointed. You can tell they need to improve on their cleanliness. But let me start with the food: - sushi was good! No real complaints there. - chow mein was good, but too greasy. - orange chicken and teriyaki chicken was all right, but undercooked. - Vegetables were cooked well. - The only thing I thought was 9/10 were the seasoned fries, not even an Asian food. As for the cleanliness, the table we were seated at was obviously not wiped down well or even prepared. It was low on Sriracha (dried sauce around the nozzle, too), low on soy sauce, and low on sugar packets (not that I used them, but since I work in a semi-food service place, I have to keep an eye out on restocking condiments in time). The table also still had bits of food on it which I wiped away myself. Luckily the napkin dispenser was full. The food trays at the buffet area needed to be cleaned or wiped of food that fell out of the tray or spoons, and there were bits of food on the floor where people were walking. I felt like I had to be careful where I walked, and what I touched so it wouldn't get on me. The busboys were pretty good at cleaning up plates after us, and refilled our water once. But the thing that really was not right to me was the fact that they were hosing down an area in the kitchen which resulted in flooding a part of the restaurant! Like, where people are getting food! Okay-- Just APPROACHING the dessert corner was a little unsettling because the ice cream machine needed to be wiped clean and there, again, was food on the floor. As I was taking a little piece of chocolate cake, suddenly I'm being sprayed at my feet! I don't think anyone expects this at a restaurant. I turn around and look down, and see that whoever is in the kitchen is literally opening the swinging door partway to hose down the dirty floor on THEIR side, bringing in all the water to this tiny corner, and the area starts to flood! It's literally flowing water coming towards me, that in order to get to the other dessert table, you have to step in this huge puddle. It was embarrassing. Whoever was on the other side was adamant on cleaning their side, since they did this at least three times. I was and still am utterly confused as to why anyone would do this. Do they not know that obviously the other side of that swinging door is not OUTSIDE the restaurant?????? but INSIDE???? where guests are walking???? I told the hostess at the front, and I hope she relayed the message. I'm not one to cause a scene, I was more embarrassed and disappointed that I paid to eat there. I wanted to leave immediately after that, and felt nauseated because of the food and the facility. read more

I'm giving Fasia Buffet two stars mainly because the price is relatively low compared to other AYCE restaurants, and you generally get what you pay for. Unfortunately, the food quality reflects that. The food, especially the seafood, did not seem fresh--some items from the same tray had noticeably different and unpleasant smells. Even more concerning, staff were mopping the floor right in front of us while we were eating and spraying cleaning chemicals on nearby tables. Are they serving food or kibble? I have been a regular customer there, for a few years. As prices rose quality was always pretty good. I was there last night with my Granddaughter who enjoys the variety and sushi bar. To begin with, the price for the 2 of us was $45.00! I am a senior and she is 11 years old. That is probably why the place was unusually empty. The food was kind of stale as well. I guess that with very few customers, the food doesn't get replaced as often. Too expensive! read more

The food was very good. Many delicious choices to choose from. I love crab legs but there's were just to well done and not much meat in them. The sushi was great!! The price was good and the staff was very fast about getting the dirty dishes off the table and getting refills. Good place to try!!! I enjoyed it. read more

Great buffet when value for money is concerned. I also like their late hours. We went during the peak lunch time and service was good and fresh food came out regularly, and no empty trays. It's well worth the what we paid. They have clean restrooms and lots of parking in the shopping center. read more
