All they needed to do was sew alone that white line -that's all and then return it to me! But the female owner, put her hand up in the air while making a face, as if she was flicking away a fly to me??. She said, "no no -you do -no no!" WHAT the heck?!? She does not know me or who I know! If any of my employees treated anyone like that- they would have been fired!!!!!! It took me about 20 minutes to find the parking space to go downstairs underneath the building down the hallway near a knife shop to even find their hole in the wall. I took it to the the Martinez Cleaners near State Street and they were so sweet and said they would do it no problem. He also provided pricing upfront, which I found very reasonable. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly smiles! Since moving here this past September, I've been searching for a reliable dry cleaning and alterations spot -- and I think I may have found it. Morgan took care of my dry cleaning ($6 per garment prepaid -- love that!), and Michael helped me with my alterations. He was incredibly helpful in walking me through what was needed, what could realistically be done, and even left the pins in a few garments so I could go home, think it over, and move around in them before giving the green light. I really appreciated that thoughtful approach since I'm still on the fence about altering a couple items I didn't spend much on to begin with. Turnaround times are also great -- dry cleaning by tomorrow and alterations by next week. I'll post updates once I pick everything up! So far so good!!!

I needed an alteration of my wedding dress, because it had a train and I didn't plan on switching…read moredresses during rehearsal. At first, consultation of what I wanted done went smoothly, so smoothly in fact that I was sure that it was going to be exactly what I wanted. A few weeks later, I went to try on the alterations and the back bustle button wasn't as high as I wanted it to be, so I had them alter it again. I told them exactly where to put it and to keep it the same design only higher. I came back and picked up the dress and thought it had been fixed for my wedding day, which was weeks away. When I went to try on my wedding dress the morning of the ceremony, let's just say I had a panic attack. The bustle wasn't where it was supposed to be, in fact it was so wrong that it looks really bad! Yes, I shed tears that morning because of it, and my saving grace was a family member with a sewing kit who was able to sew together everything where I wanted it to be. I am leaving this review just so that if you're looking for alterations here, be mindful that you need to do this months and months ahead of time so that every detail is perfect. I'm not sure what happened, but it felt like my words weren't heard or lost in translation when I asked for help second alteration. I didn't ask for the money back I spent, only because my wedding day had come and gone and I am not someone who wants to fight or have confrontation. I just wanted to leave a review because I still think about what happened..... a year later.
