Third, if you aren't ready to move in, they will store your goods inside the trailer until you are ready (military members, storage is covered for an X amount of days.. check with TMO for most recent guidance). With a U-Haul or Penske, you'd have to unload it into storage if you aren't ready, only to have to reload. One of the items that needed to be sent was about 100 years old (found that out from my family after I had shipped it) and it was packaged so well when it arrived with the other items. To give some clarity on its journey, I had 2 chairs, a 100-year-old tea set and some fragile wall oddly shaped art that all went on one pallet. The pallet according to the tracking was transferred about 6 times on other trucks to make it here so it was bumped around countless times in terminals being loaded and unloaded. All arrived with 0 scratches, dents and fully intact. No better feeling then unpacking everything and seeing it in the condition I sent it in.

I repeatedly told the crew that I would handle boxes and smaller items myself in my van if necessary. Despite those instructions, the crew loaded numerous boxes and smaller items while leaving many large pieces of furniture behind, including items that required no additional preparation. I reiterated my instructions multiple times, including before leaving briefly to take a load myself, and they still were not followed. There were also concerns with the efficiency of the move. I was helping unload the truck myself because of how much time was passing, and one bed that the crew spent time assembling was ultimately left incomplete. I also had difficulty reaching the office while the move was happening, and when I finally reached someone supervising the crew, I found the interaction rude and dismissive. I understand that movers charge by the hour. That is not my issue. My issue is that I specifically communicated that I had a firm time and financial limit and gave clear instructions for how I needed those hours used so I could avoid additional charges. Those instructions were not followed, and the move went significantly beyond what I had budgeted. I contacted Champion afterward hoping they would review the circumstances and work with me on the disputed additional charges. Instead, I have felt that they have placed the responsibility entirely on me and have not meaningfully addressed my concerns about how the move was handled. My largest items were a couch, king-size bed and bed frame, TV, and a four-person dining table. Everything else fit into just 9 large moving boxes after they packed my belongings. I was also moving only one mile away. At their quoted rate of $185 per hour for three movers, I expected the job to be completed within their 3-hour minimum, or maybe 4 hours at most. To be fair, the movers packed everything carefully, and nothing was damaged. The office staff also communicated well whenever I called. The problem was the amount of time it took. The move ended up taking 7 hours, which I simply cannot understand. Five hours into the job, the crew was still packing, so I called the office to express my concerns. Their explanation was that my apartment had three flights of stairs. While I understand that stairs add time, I don't believe they justify turning what should have been a relatively small move into a seven-hour job. Even accounting for the stairs, I would have expected 4 hours, maybe 5 at the absolute most. Instead, I ended up paying around $1,600 for a move that covered just one mile. I walked away feeling like the job took much longer than it should have and that I was being billed for unnecessary time. If you're considering EcoMovers LV, be aware that this was my experience. Their Customer Care and Delivery Teams were fantastic, including Aaron (who picked up my Zippy Shell container at the destination). I have moved items from the West Coast to East Coast and back several times over the years. It is not easy moving a lot of items over a long distance without paying an arm and a leg or losing/breaking things. Zippy Shell gave me confidence that my belongings would arrive without issue (and it did). I initially signed a contract with a full, comprehensive moving service, but after hours wasted on multiple phone calls/no-shows, I ended up cancelling the service due to lack of reliability and trustworthiness from their staff. In contrast, the Zippy Shell agent on the phone worked to make the service perfect for what were important to me: budget and reliability. I wish I could remember the name of the first person that helped me at Zippy Shell in the Customer Care team. He was fantastic and gave me the confidence to go sign the agreement that day even though it was not the cheapest quote I had received. There are always little hiccups (e.g. the Zippy Shell and Pack Rat systems don't seem to play nice), but Zippy Shell has been fantastic overall! There was a team of 6 that showed up for the job. They were nice and professional. As a matters of fact, their team lead pointed out the crack in the TV after it got moved to our new residence. He assured us we would be able to submit a claim and it would be taken care of. The claim was ultimately denied and they said it's because we can't prove the TV wasn't like that prior to the move. So basically when we did the initial walk through, not a single one of the 6 men noted the crack?Interesting. Read other reviews and do your own research before using this company. It looks like this has happened to a few people.
