After passing this place numerous times , I finally stopped in today to try this place! we had the breakfast special of chicken fried steak with eggs and home fries. 1st of all when I saw the prices I imagined that the portions would be very small....to my amazement i was wrong!! the portions were massive. 2nd ,....seeing such big portions I thought the quality of the food would be lacking, once again I was proved wrong!!! The home fries were crispy on the outside and super soft and silky on the inside! c.f.steak was tender inside crisp on the outside and the gravy was outta this world yummm! The sourdough toast was like 2 regular pieces of bread put together and tasted homeade. The pecan buttermilk pancakes were fluffy and just down right delicious!! Was up on this side of town, and decided to try this place out. Food was great, and the portions were generous. My son tried the biscuits and gravy, and loved them. nice large biscuits, and plenty of gravy. I had eggs with corned beef hash. Very good. Fast courteous service with a smile. I've eaten here before but it was years ago. I was hungry for breakfast so I thought I'd come here. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. The coffee is so weak it's just brown water. I'm sure the meal will be good but weak coffee is reason enough not to come back for breakfast. My breakfast came and I explicitly ordered over medium eggs and said make sure the whites are cooked they were runny whites. came in for the first time on my birthday to be greeted by a very stressed server who almost seemed annoyed when they would see new customers walk in (i know it can be stressful but there are better ways to vent your stress, ive been a server for 8 years). that aside, i cant blame them for being stressed due to the fact that she was the ONLY server at the time during a suprisingly busy monday. service aside, the chicken fried steak had gotten soggy and the gravy on top formed a skin on the top by the time it had gotten to me. additionaly, my girlfriend had ordered some sort of combo that came with hashbrowns. the server asked if she wanted cheese on them, to which my girlfriend said no, but the hashbrowns came out with them anyway. luckily the server quickly got a new side without cheese and she was satisfied. the pancakes and eggs also were pretty good, although i wouldn't think they were any better than any place in particular. it seems if this spot had more staff to make sure everyone can perform their role properly, things would improve a lot. although, i have only been to this place just recently so i cant speak as to how it was before my first visit. read more

We have been fans of this place since they relocated from 35th Ave and Glendale. Always great service, great food and a very inviting atmosphere. Not impressed with the restaurant. Was impressed with the people that came there to eat and hang out with their friends and family. Nice people unlike the staff of Fast Eddies. All you can eat fish. It's small chunks that were over cooked. Batter awful. Never offered lemon or balsamic vinegar for the fish and that's fine but when a customer wants to ask for some there's no staff! I had another great experience today at Fast Eddie's. The Food was fantastic, service again always great. I had the steak and eggs, steak was cooked exactly as I asked, eggs and hash browns right on point, again. This is my second review of Fast Eddies, I wrote one on Google about 5 months ago and it didn't allow a second review, so I edited it and decided to put a review on Yelp. Why, because they deserve it. I have been to Fast Eddies many times over the years and the food and service has always been great. I usually go in for breakfast but I hear the Friday Fish Fry is wonderful, so I'm going to try that in the very near future. You can't go wrong here, It's great food, great service and that's not all that common these days but you can certainly find it in large helpings at Fast Eddies. Thanks again for a wonderful breakfast. Everyone should go and try it , you won't be sorry. We came in for breakfast on a Sunday morning before flying home to the NW. The portions are huge, you won't go hungry that's for sure. I'm glad I ordered the half size omelette, it was perfect the perfect size (for me) with the hash browns and toast. I took my brother for breakfast and when the $25 bill arrived I used my credit card. The waiter returned to our table stating the card declined twice. While sitting at the table I brought up my bank account online only to discover I was charged twice. Yes twice! The server and my brother were both given a view showing that Fast Eddie's was paid twice. Then the server requested another form of payment. I said no and the server brought the manager over. She was shown that my bank paid them twice. She also asked for another form of payment and I honored her request with the statement that that I'll never return to this establishment. A $25 breakfast cost me $75!!! These people stole from me and they may do the same to you. I gave the server a $20 cash tip with the advice to enjoy that tip it's the last you'll see from me EVER! The food was good but not worth $75 for an omelette breakfast and a chicken fried steak with 2 eggs. Avoid this place! Seen an employee on the floor and cleaning the glass doors with a face mask barely covering her mouth and not her nose. That's a COVID-19 risk to all patrons not to mention the employees. My wife and I moved nearby 6 months ago. We were looking for a place to have breakfast as our "go to". We tried Fast Eddies and we haven't looked back. We have been back multiple times since discovering them and I have to say, they are consistent. I'm a big fan of the chicken fried steak and eggs. The gravy is so good!!! I usually eat here at least once a week, sometimes more often. The food is usually good and it's priced fairly. Part of the reason I keep coming back is for the atmosphere. It's got some fun and interesting signs all over the place. But when you get right down to it what keeps me coming back is the service. I always ask for Jennifer because she's a delight to be around. She always has a smile on her face and she does a great job of keeping everyone smiling; even when the kitchen is overwhelmed and starts falling behind. At the end of a 60 hour work week, all I usually want to do is go home and sleep. Friday is the one week day that it's open late. Instead of going home and going to sleep, I come in for dinner. Not because it is some sort of special fish day, but because seeing Jennifer and being around is a reminder that there are still good people in this world. read more

Agree with the previous reviewer...meh. We tried Fast Eddie's for breakfast with a family member who was in town. Service was ok. Food was okay, but the pancakes definitely seemed like they were from a mix. I also think I had some sickness later due to the food, so that is definitely a mark against them. I don't think I could have asked for a nicer experience! I had the classic 2 eggs, hashbrowns, sour dough toast and 2 strips of bacon. Everything down to the toast was made perfectly. I asked for over medium eggs and that's what I got! Not "runny" at all! Perfectly cooked bacon, not too crispy and not limp! Service was amazing! I went with 3 other friends for breakfast today. This place sure doesn't look much like a diner to me. I was expecting to see a 50's diner decor inside and instead it was a remodeled Village inn. The food was OK - just OK. I don't know what they cook their eggs and hash browns in, but it made them taste weird. Must be the type of grease they use on their grill. The service was all right but I don't think I'll be back. There's many other places to go for a good breakfast in the West Valley to waste a meal on this place. read more

I am not an interior decorator so I'm going skip the shortcomings of the restaurants design, feng shui, I need a place to have Ikea furniture for me to enjoy a meal there, and talk about the omelette. Mel's Omelette is delicious. It must have an entire block of cheese in it, plus you get hash browns (Those are covered in cheese), and it's filled with breakfast meats. I love this place. Right around the corner from my house, the breakfast is CHEAP, cheaper and cheapest- HOWEVER- the food is actually good here. Beats Denny's (barf) and Waffle House (double yak) hands down every time on quality, cleanliness and price. Breakfast food is by far my favorite. My husband and I both have lived in Arizona/Phoenix area for our whole lives and have tried many a breakfast diners. We have even tried this restaurant at a different location, but this location was far better. Our server, Jim, I think, was super nice and took excellent care of us. The place seemed clean and we were seated right away (Friday around 11am). I ordered the 'go big or go home' meal. My order came with eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, and toast. Everything was delicious!! I am very picky about how the food is cooked, my eggs need to be scrambled well (not wet at all) and these exceeded my expectations. The bacon was also cooked perfectly and wasn't overly salty. The hashbrowns are worth going to this restaurant for, thin sliced, crispy by request, and cheese on top. I WILL be coming back, even though it's not that close to our home. read more

This is a great place to come on Fridays for fish dinner. A group of seven of us go there each Sunday after church. Food has always been really good and we all order something different. The ladies enjoy the salads....they stick with the small since the large is for the really really hungry. Wife enjoys the wraps. I enjoy everything and especially their chili. Two of my friends always order breakfast...waffles with whipped cream and strawberries and pancakes. Afterward there is always "free" (nothings free remember) ice cream. I have been to both locations. The best thing about Fast Eddie's is the value ... and that it usually is truly fast. Sometimes the service isn't "friendly", but I have never experienced it rude either. For those of you who don't realize it - Denny's and IHOP use pancake mix. Every large chain does. If you want them from scratch you'll likely have to make pancakes at home. read more

Hubby and I go for breakfast here about twice a month. They have very good food, I love the toast... I know weird but it's so good. When I say crispy bacon I get crispy bacon.
