Worst Service Ever! Contacted them several times to fix and correct what they made a mess of and after assuring me the owner would call me the next day a week passes and no call, I ended up having to empty 2/3 of one very large unit just to reach items needed when the original instructions were to keep open to reach all items. I found "FRAGILE" labelled boxes smashed, boxes labelled "CC" (climate controlled) in the outdoor 110 degrees weather units, my refrigerator parts were spread out between 3 units. No organization, no attention to detail and certainly no respect for fragile property. Their website, About Us, page states . . . Simply the best moving company in Austin! Their name says everything... they are F A S T, efficient, careful, thoughtful, trustworthy and strong! Brothers Cody and Eric Fietz moved my best friend last year, so Ive seen them work and knew they were great. But today I was able to experience first had how incredible they are. I had Eric, plus two men, as my movers and I couldn't believe how efficient and cautious they were. Nothing was "dinged" or damage, they took great care with my belonging. They showed up at exactly 9am, and finished the entire move 3 hours later... one hour faster than the quoted time. They have an hourly rate and that's it! It took me a while to write this review. We went with this moving company because they were close by and we wanted to support their business. We were quoted a price per hour (5.5) with the number of employees (4), and the number of trucks (2) going to 2 destinations. The team arrived on time, but sat in their trucks because there was miscommunication with their admin. I approached their trucks to inquire when they realized that they were at this destination to move our company not get into their warehouse. The team was hard-working, but were a tad sluggish, stopped frequently to talk, and were unorganized. They loaded both trucks and drove both trucks to both destinations, not a very efficient strategy. It took the team 8 hours to complete the job almost doubling the cost. For most people, moving is done on a budget and a booking is made on that budget. Having that cost doubled is very disturbing, not to mention hard on the pocket book. That's like getting a quote for housecleaning for $150 for 3 hours, but it takes 6 hours to complete, so your total is $300; that would not go over well with the homeowner. If the job takes longer, for whatever reason, it should be on the company, not the client, otherwise how is the team accountable for their time management. On the other hand, a job should never be left incomplete. The team did not appear to know the timeframe quoted for the job which in my opinion was due to admin misinformation and miscalculation. We did feed the team and tipped them although I do not feel like it was adequate enough for their hard work. I hope with what we paid they got paid well enough to make up for it. read more

These guys had us moved out of our 2 bed 2 bath and of bunch of mechanics tools in a little over 4 hours. On top of it all, 2 solid guys with great personalities. Cody, from Fast Fietz Moving called me promptly after leaving my less than stellar review. He assured me that the travel fee was on the estimate. While there is a line item for travel time indicating 0.5 hours travel, it did not itemize it as a separate expense, like it did on the invoice for payment. With 4.25 estimated number of hours, and an hourly rate of $189, the bolded Estimated Price Range of $750-$850 made sense to me (4.25 x $189 = $803.25), figuring the amount of time needed to move is hard to know exactly. The total charge ended up being $976.50 with 4:40 moving time. I think much of my issues could be solved with better communication and a clearer estimate page. When calling me to clarify my issues, I felt as if the goal was to get me to change my review for a small family business that would be negatively affected by a bad review, rather than take my feedback to grow as a company. My responsibilities and problems with reading the estimate incorrectly and making his guys wait to open the school gate were pointed out, while theirs were explained away. I want their business to succeed, but I think constructive feedback is how that can happen. read more

My first experience with Fast Feitz. Talked to Cody on Tuesday and they were able to fit us in on Saturday. They showed up on time, moved everything quickly, and were very careful with all of our belongings. Cody and his team are AMAZING! I had to an emergency move, and he was able to schedule me the NEXT MORNING when I called on a Friday afternoon. His rates were better than the other few movers I found who were available on last minute notice. Though we weren't able to use them due to last minute scheduling, bonus points that they use plastic bins to reduce waste. His team spent 4 hours packing our apartment - quickly and conscientiously. The move was rough due to circumstances completely out of their control. The move was longer than estimated, but they were professional, energetic, and pleasant the entire time. Initial impressions were very good. Responsive, easy to schedule, good communication, & reasonably priced. Great points for a small business I'd think. The owner communicated morning of the move for ETA and the crew was timely. 2 crews and 2 two trucks arrived and worked as I'd hoped. For the amount of stuff being transported, there were only two things damaged: the brick on a pillar was knocked off exiting the house and the wall entering a bedroom was damaged. The brick was not brought to my attention as I believe the team tried to resolve it by just placing it back on the pillar without mentioning it- No biggie. The wall of the new home was something they brought to my attention and professionally explained the process of repair. No issues there as up to this point, communication had been good. Given that it was a Saturday, I figured I'd reach out to the owner Cody on the next business day. He responded and I thought we'd get the repair done fairly quickly. As of this review, we're 22 days into our new home with no resolve. The negative review is less about the damage and more about the lack of communication and professionalism to make good on commitments by the owner. As a small family owned business, I would think honoring your word would be a platform to stand by, but I could be wrong. Hopefully, you don't have the same experience should you utilize this moving company. ***update as of 5/8*** Cody was responsive and accountable for the miscommunication. I gave these guys a call based on a recommendation from my then-neighborhood's Facebook page, and I was NOT disappointed. I coordinated everything a month in advance with Cody, who called again a few days before the move was scheduled to happen. Eric and Jordan arrived pretty much exactly when they said they would, calling when they were a few minutes out, and made for one of the most painless moves I have ever had. To be fair, this is the first time I have hired movers for an in-town move, but it was a good decision. They were courteous, very careful with our stuff, had great senses of humor, and were VERY fast. 4 hours and change later we had the majority of our stuff moved across town, items were set up, and we were cleaning up. Bonus points for taking Square, especially since I forgot to bring the checkbook with me to the new place. Oh, and their rates were very reasonable. I don't know where to start- Fast Fietz just might be the perfect moving company. Stop researching, just use them. First of all, the communication was impeccable, which is HUGE in my book. Cody consistently responded quickly from the initial quote through the end of the move. We happened to pick the worst weekend weather-wise to move (thunderstorms with torrential rains), and Cody was super flexible and even kept eyes on the radar to find the best possible move time so that our furniture and boxes stayed as dry as possible. Secondly, they showed up right on time and moved like machines. They appropriately surveyed everything we needed to move before they started loading the truck- and then they proceeded with caution and care- wrapping all of items that needed a little extra care. Again with communication, I could hear the 3 of them asking each other who wanted push/pull/help etc. Very impressive for men in general- ha! Again, once they started, they didn't stop. They were efficient and moved quickly, which is just nice to see because you know they weren't trying to make the move longer than it needed to be- aka more expensive. They really had the best pricing- our move was about 5.5 hours and we paid under $800 for THREE movers and a truck. For a quality move, you absolutely cannot beat that. Wait, there's more. When we got to the new house- again, they moved quickly with the unloading process and asked where we wanted things if they weren't clearly marked. We very much appreciated that they did not just move things in haphazardly for us to figure out later. In sum- it was the best move experience I've ever had.
