Wow these guys are fast, easy, cheap and friendly. I bought a Target mirror ($60) twice online and both times it was delivered broken. The second order was refunded over the phone and Target customer service told me to throw the frame away. I thought it was such a waste of product that I looked into options to replace the mirror. I emailed on Wednesday and Lauren responded quickly and told me to come by the store and they can cut the mirror in seconds. Literally they were done in seconds. Probably took 20 minutes to cut the mirror, install the mirror into the frame and pay. I will definitely come back for future projects. Our sliding glass door was shattered. The mood was gloomy. Could anyone turn this frown upside down? We called Fast Glass (based on an excellent yelp rating), and explained the dimensions (34") and what happened. They quoted us at $232 for the job (total price, including labor). We asked if they could come ASAP; they said they could be here in half an hour. Twenty-nine minutes later, a good looking Fast Glass truck pulled up in front of my house. It was a sight for sore eyes. So far so good; these guys keep their word (unlike a lot of cable tv companies where you wait all day for nothing). I met Lauren and James (a father and son team), and they were friendly enough, but went straight to work. It reminded me of Pulp Fiction, when the Wolf (Harvey Keitel) shows up to solve Jules and Vincent's problem. Immediately they began breaking down the remaining glass, sweeping, vaccuming, and tidying up. These guys are all business: very professional, swift, and thorough. What would have taken my wife and I hours to clean up, these guys did in a matter of minutes. Even though we had an iron gate welded onto the outside of the house, Lauren said they would not charge us extra. It made the install more difficult. They weren't sure if they could handle it because of the welded gate, but using ingenuity they found a way. They slid the new glass through the side; we were very impressed with the creativity. The moment of truth: how much would they charge? My OCD kicked in and I was nervously wondering whether or not they would try to upcharge us after the fact (kind of like a shady plumber). Lauren said, "That'll be $232." That's exactly what they quoted us on the phone. Fast Glass gets 6 stars if you ask me. From start to finish, they put us at ease in just under an hour. I contacted Fast Glass because of the positive Yelp reviews and the fact that they specialize in Craftsmen homes. I needed one window in my bathroom replaced. I can't comment on their work, but I can say Fast Glass is anything but fast! I had Jamis come out for an estimate. He said he would be getting back to me shortly with a price, and I never heard from him again! And it's been 3 weeks. I called myself to follow up about a week after he came to my home, and he told me he was at the airport about to leave on a 10-day trip, but he could "research" what my window would cost while he was gone. Well, needless to say that didn't happen and I haven't heard from him since. I have had a ton of work done to my home and dealt with more contractors than I would care to remember. We had an accidental break of a window pane in an 80 year old bay window. I asked for a recommendation from a friend. I called and left a message for them, but no one ever called me back. Two days later I called the second person on my list of recommendations. Lauren at Fast Glass picked up the phone when I called. He had me text him a pic of the problem. He replied right away that he could do the job and that he could come the next day. He communicated with me and came when he said he'd be here. My dogs ran thru my sliding glass door late Saturday. Due to Covig-19 stay-at-home restrictions, Fast Glass was the only open option. Quoted $250 labor to come to residence, $50 if I brought door frame to his shop. Went to shop, and he replaced glass in a few minutes. Nice guy. good work ethic. When I got back home to re-hang the door, I discovered that the rollers on the bottom rail of the frame were not positioned properly when reassembled at the shop. I had to unbolt the frame (which caused the rubber molding to part from the glass) and then realign the molding as I placed the rollers in the proper fixture at each end of the frame. Of course, it took three attempts (and as many hours) to get the right alignment of the molding. Next time. I'll have them come to the house and let them have the aggravation of re-installation. read more
