Got here around 8:45a, today, and was seen in under 20 minutes with 2 patients ahead of me. I was in and out in under an hour and that included waiting on a few tests (strep, flu and Covid). The receptionist was kind, welcoming and super friendly!! The nurse I saw was amazing and the PA Nick was caring and knowledgeable. Answered all of my questions and I didn't feel rushed or talked over. Absolutely have zero complaints and couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

We visited Fastmed on Ten-Ten Rd. in Cary this morning. We were seen within a timely manner of our appointment. Lameka was kind and professional at the front desk, signing us in. She met us with a smile. Mia was very sweet taking my daughter's vitals and very considerate of my daughter's reason for visit/not feeling well. Abby was so nice..the visit did not seem rushed...she was very professional and thorough! We had a great experience from beginning to end!!! read more

They will lie to you about when test results come back. I took a test on a Friday and it's Wednesday still no results back, when I was told they would come back either Sunday or Monday. The front office lady is very rude when I called to ask for them she seems to have an attitude every time. Im currently on antibiotics that I don't know if I should be taking until I get the results back and she didn't seem to care. Wouldn't give me the providers number when I asked. I understand that the provider will call me, but that was suppose to be days ago. I don't recommended this place at all. read more

I will not be going back to this place, I only went there cause my Dr. Office closed for the day. Made an app online, was told would take 30 mins. Sat there an hour and half past my app time, and the ladies at the front just sat there eating McD's and laughing. Everyone in their waiting room had been told 30-40 mins. Whats the point of even making an app if they aren't going to see you at said time. I want to take back the 1 star I have just cause it wouldn't let me post this with out one. read more

On November 23, 2018, day after Thanksgiving I nearly sliced my thumb off with a Nija Food Processor. I was rushed to Fast Med Cary Ten Ten Urgi Care and a medical assistant by the name Alexis Campbell stiched my thumb together. I was terrified I would never have feelings again on my thumb. Not long after my thumb healed nicely. I dont have full feelings yet, but with time I'm sure it will heal perfectly. Alexis Campbell was amazing. I'm going to post pictures before and after. I have been to this location several times as we are new to the area and had not yet secured a primary care provider.Each time I visited this clinic I showed my insurance and paid whatever balance was due. I received a bill in the mail for one visit for an additional $25 (fast med was not able to tell me why these additional charges were sent to me)and then was put into collections for $78 for a bill I never received??!! I went into Fast med and spoke to the receptionist and she stated, "Yeah sometimes we bill wrong, nothing I can do. You have to call head office." I called head office/ billing dept. and left several messages, I never received a call back. This is very poor business practice and will never go back. read more

Dr. Stephen (can't remember his last name unfortunately) was so very warm and personable, if attentiveness could cure my being ill I would've walked out better! Walked in and filled out the paperwork on an iPad (nice touch). The asked to pay $25 in a co-pay plus $27.85 from a 'past due in 2011' or they wouldn't see me. The could not produce any record of the debt or the visit which was over 7 years old. They stated it was a note on my record. I've used this place a couple of times since 2011 and the NEVER asked me to pay anything more than a co pay in the time that has passed. When I raised the objection that they had no proof they said they would still take me. But after that they bumped me from first on their electronic list to be seen to last. I wouldn't put up with this if it were not a Sunday morning and I felt really bad. It was clear to me, and should be to anyone else that these people do not put patients first. read more

My husband and I had to go in the other day when he was ill. We got great care from the female provider named Maggie! We were worried but she had a great bedside manner and was very clam. The PA Brian and the nurse were 5 star. I imagine our situation was a bit unusual but I can not say enough about the medical and emotional care we received. Brain was a life saver and has the calm bed side manner that was needed that day and should be had by all health care providers. My only minus was the front desk. First of all, she had no mask on when we walked in and failed to put one on as she handed me the ipad. For me, the person who greets you when you are in an emergency situation should have a more professional and friendly appearance. read more

This place is terrible. Last time It took an hour and a half with an appt! the PA had me call my daughters pediatrician to find out if the medicine they were prescribing was one she was allergic to, she didn't know! The dr called me a few weeks later and said the PA should never have done that and should have called her so they refunded my money. We came in today for a sports physical, made another appointment for 11:05am, arrived at 10:50 and are still here waiting. The PA came in and told me to stop talking, when I asked how much longer, and that she would get in here when she got in here. Such a nasty woman and terrible customer service! I needed a rapid Covid test. I had a great experience the entire time. Front desk staff was friendly and answered all of my questions. I have been here a few previous times without issue, but I had the worst experience ever today. Showed up for a flu test. The man at the desk asked for ID and insurance. When I told him I did not have my insurance card he rudely asked more loudly "SIR, DO YOU HAVE YOUR CARD?". I had to talk with him for about 5 minutes before he agreed to look me up in the system. He was obviously annoyed but I have never once had my card before and never had a problem getting them to look it up on my wife's account. I knew it was on file already but this employee acted like it was the most absurd thing ever to be asked to do his job. And that is how it began, relatively simply. Next, when I came and dropped off my clipboard with information at the front desk, he started YELLING at me in front of a room full of people "Sir, you cannot come up here and push that woman out of the way like that its extremely rude!". I tried to apologize to the woman (who I did not push aside whatsoever) and he cut me off twice to continue to berate me publicly. I then managed to get an apology in edge wise to the woman who assured me I had done nothing wrong. All I did was set the clipboard on the desk next to her, there was no push or contact whatsoever. Then a few moments later I was called up to the front desk. He acted relatively normal again and I treated him respectfully, as before. He asked for my credit card and I asked for some details about why because I thought my visit would be fully covered. I have never given a CC here. He calmy explained that a flu SHOT would be covered but a flu CHECK would be charged and not covered. At that point I realized he didn't understand my insurance but I just thought "fine" and gave him my card. For some reason when I tried to hand him my card he said "Sir is there a problem?". I said "well I don't feel great, that is why I am here." Then he said "I just feel like you've been giving me attitude since you showed up and you disrespected that woman in line". I reiterated that if I had done anything I apologized to the woman and she accepted. At that point he stated yelling at me that I had a problem. I said if anything its the other way around. At that point I did start to lose my own temper and let slip a "You are the one with the F'ing problem". I regretted that. He then handed me my ID and CC and said "You won't be seen here today, leave". This is the most ridiculous treatment I have ever had from any business in my entire life. read more

Supposed to return in 3 days for followup (paperwork has the date and Doctor told me also). When went there on that specific day, service was refused by the other doctor present saying the doctor who had seen me is not in the clinic. I had callee before to make sure about which doctor in clinic and was told whoever present will check me out. I suspected that they are turning me away because i arrived at 6:45 pm and the clinique closes at 8 pm. There are two people in the waiting room. Probably that's why they refused. I called before to let them know my arrival time and was not told about any particular time i must arrive to get treated. I expressed the same to the doctor who gave me service on first day. The manager has no empathy. Poorly managed. Another additional fact. They took my driver's licence on first day and didn't return it despite me asking for 3 times while in office. Finally while leaving i asked for 4th time, the manager searched front desk n copier in the front. Finally the nurse found it on the back office clipped in the clipboard. Today while i walked in i saw someone elses card is laying at the checking counter seen or reachable from the other side. One more fact. When i called before coming secondtime for the follow up stating i was there 3 days back; i was told i was not seen at there clinic over 5 yrs. I was awstruck to hear! I have papar work at my hand from first visit! No doubt this clinic is poorly rated. read more

Highway Robbery. Went here because the MinuteClinic at CVS was booked for the evening and I was having terrible pain from a swollen lymph node. CVS told me about this place, so I went instead of waiting until the next day and go to a REAL place. The wait wasn't too long, but I was seen for less than 2 minutes. I got a script for antibiotics and was on my way. No time for questions, anything. Ok, so whatever, went BACK to CVS to fill the prescription, which worked in a couple of days - so far so good. However - I get a bill about a month later for $179!! Note this is AFTER my insurance paid $79, which I figured that's what the entire service would have cost. I seriously don't think the family of another race was charged that much and that poor kid was sicker than I was! Never in going to the CVS MinuteClinic have I ever been charged that much and got actual tests and a lot better care! Folks - THIS is what is wrong with the healthcare system! We can only be seen after they run a credit check to make sure we have insurance so they can charge the insurance and then charge even more just to get profit. If I had known then what I know now, I would have either waited until the next day and miss work to go to CVS or I would have gone to the ER. Either way would have been much cheaper! Collections can kiss my rear. This is a ripoff, plain and simple. Fastmed will not let you talk to anyone in person about the bill either. It's only a game of phone tag and will not justify how they arrived at the bill they are sending me. read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The doctor was very informative and able to submit my prescription to a near by place for pickup same time. A few days later the doctor even followed up by phone which was fantastic as not many will do that from a walk in clinic such as this. Exposed to flu via daughter who tested positive Sunday. Both of us were vaccinated in Sept 2017. I drove her home from FL to NC. I went in to this facility to ask if PA or Doctor would prescribe Tamiflu as a profilactic as is recommended if I did an office visit or exam even as I am asymptomatic. Desk clerk said I had to submit to the copay and exam to find out the answer to my basic question. This gentleman wouldn't even go ask the question to the PA. If this is policy, Fastmed should go fire the brainiac that came up with that policy. If this is one desk clerk just being lazy or dense, please find another career. The only reason I went was because the other UC I went to had a 1.5 hour wait, but they agreed to the prescription as a prevent. I see now why business is down at Fastmed Cary on Ten Ten Road. read more

Excellent service. I went on Sunday at lunchtime. Receptionist was friendly and efficient. My wait was about 45 minutes, and though I did register first online, I had never been so had to fill out some paperwork. Nurse got her job done quick and I waited maybe 3 min more for the PA who had me in and out with a Z Pack for my ear pain and sore throat. I was pleased and will use them again. read more

Prior to finding this place on Yelp, I went to Rex Healthcare off Cary Pkwy. Two times I went there, it was like going to an ER - 2 hr visits. Granted, these were off hours. This urgent care facility is top notch! I checked in online which is super convenient. Once I arrived the very kind lady in the front office took my insurance information and I answered a few questions on an iPad. Again super convenient. The medical assistants were very friendly. The PA that I saw was awesome! She took her time and listened to all of my concerns. I felt like she gave me the right diagnosis and only ran the necessary tests based on my symptoms. All in all I was there approx 40 minutes. Very happy with the care I received today! I will definitely be back :-) read more

I went to Fast Med today and was so thankful I did!! I first called and explained my medical condition and talked to Ciara on the phone, who was very reassuring about my visit. She was very polite and answered a few quick questions and didn't seem to rush me off the phone. When I came in she remembered me calling and checked me in efficiently and quickly and while I waited I heard her handle other check ins and phone calls very discreetly and professionally. I have to say I was very impressed by Ciara from the start. The medical assistant, Mary, called me back and I explained my very painful medical condition, in which she not only addressed with the appropriate questions but sympathized with me and also reassured me that the doctor was going to help me and this really calmed my nerves about being there. The PA Mr. Wallace came in and had to perform a quick procedure to provide relief to my painfull condition but when the pain wasn't subsiding he was very quick and efficient at helping me. I can't say that going to the urgent care is something I ever WANT to do but if I ever HAVE to go again I will go to the one on Ten-Ten road. Thank you all SO much!! read more

Terrible place if all you need is a Covid test. The staff is friendly, but the guy doctor who saw me was incredibly rude and unprofessional and talked to me in an incredibly condescending manner. I just needed a Covid test so I could be cleared for work after quarantining with Covid for two weeks. He refused to do the rapid test, saying they don't have it, even though it was offered to my roommate when she came in last week. He said "maybe we ran out then." MAYBE? He doesn't know what they offer? He also made me get on the examination table and it was pretty rude for him to touch my face without first asking. I kept telling him that all I needed was the test, but he was a bully and wouldn't let it be administered without an examination. None of this happened the first time I went in two weeks ago, when I had a different (woman) doctor come in to talk to me. Either go somewhere else, or make sure your doctor is the nice, much more professional woman. read more

Day after Christmas with Sinusitis. Full waiting room. In and out, with prescription called in 2 hours. Clerical staff was calm and very accommodating. They did not rush us along. I passed three centers on my way to this one. I came here because of posted reviews. Saw Dr. Van Ooteghem. What a personable doctor! Again, no rush. He listened, recommended and treated with a great attitude. He even helped me find a pharmacy closer to my home (30 min away) that were offering prescription promo discounts! 7 days later, my prescription had not knocked out the infection. Called the center again. Another prescription was called in, with a personal phone call from Dr.Leung to make sure it was affordable for me...who does that nowadays? Very nice! read more

It is sad that the current state of medical insurance requires a sick person to shop around for medical care. That said, FastMed charged nearly twice what I would have paid at a CVS Minute Clinic for a visit re a pervasive cough. I will choose Minute Clinic in the future. read more

I recently made a trip to this urgent care because it was the week before Christmas and I had cold symptoms making me feel miserable. Upon entering this fast med I was greeted by the receptionist and given a stack of papers to fill out. I had met my deductible for the year but the receptionist wanted to collect over $200 from me for this visit. I was confused why she was asking for money when I had met my deductible she claimed that she could not check my insurance benefits prior to being seen. I had never had this situation happen at a medical office of any sort in the past. When I told her that I would just go see my regular physician then all of a sudden she didn't need any money. Several people came in after me and after 45 minutes in the waiting room I was finally taken back to see a PA. 20 minutes past again while waiting in the exam room to be seen. The PA on duty was thorough and very kind. He gave me a prescription and I left. The biggest complaint I have with this practice comes after I began taking the medication. I experienced SEVERE intestinal problems and I was very concerned to continue taking this medication. I called the office and explained the problem I was having with the medication and the receptionist said that I needed to speak with someone and that she would have them return my call in a few minutes. That was two weeks ago and I have yet to hear from anyone at fast med. beware if you need any follow-up questions answered after your appointment! The symptoms I was having were severe and the receptionist was aware but simply didn't care. read more

It is now 90 minutes past our appointment time & my son still hasn't seen the Dr. I thought this would be faster than the pediatrician since I figured he just needs a quick strep test, but no way is this faster. If I could, I would give a negative rating to this awful place. I took a sick family member there last weekend. They have pre existing illnesses and we were there requesting only the diagnosis and to treat a possible bladder infection. The waiting room was empty upon our arrival and few others came in during our two hours there. They insisted on a copayment of $50 before we were kept waiting for more than an hour, despite an online appointment made with "NO WAIT" as the status. There were 3 employees that we came in contact with on this visit: receptionist, tech and PA. They took the medical history of the patient who is an experience and educated Type I diabetic adult and after only checking blood glucose, FASTMED advised us that they could not treat or test for what we had come in for: Urine test for bladder infection or eliminate that as the cause of lower back pain. We requested a refund of the copay, as they were insisting that we needed to go to the ER.They refused to check further symptoms-they refused to refund the copay. When we asked for the medical record of the day's visit to take to the ER, they refused to give that to the patient. When asked for details upon which the refusal to treat were based, we were incorrectly informed that the patients' BLOOD PRESSURE was so high, they were unable to handle our request for urine testing. In fact, it was the BLOOD SUGAR reading that was HIGH and we already had that information from our personal glucometer. FASTMED is a scary option when you are in need of after hours care that doesn't rise to the level of emergency care. In the end, the staff called the police to have us removed from the office and never provided any of the requested services, refunds or medical info from that day. The police officers that responded shared our shock and disappointment in this medical facility. Not at all professional. read more

Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend and go back. Also, the reservation system is only to speed up your check in but clearly states in the policy when you make it that it doesn't put you to the front of the line. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I had to wait over an hour to be seen in the waiting room. There was only one person ahead of me. Then when they brought me back to a room I had to wait another 30 minutes to be seen. When the doctor did finally see me it was for only 2 minutes and she just wrote me a prescription and sent me on my way. If she would have spent more time asking why I was there she would have known that I am not comfortable taking medication and would like different options. I felt like I was being rushed after waiting so long. I also asked for a recommendation for an ENT and she said to just "google" one, I thought doctors are supposed to know recommendations for specialist in the area.
