It looked good online, but was in a In a dirty little plaza. I firured what the heck, I'll give it a try. Some of the best places I've ever eaten at a where greasy spoon hole in the wall. Exception: Resteraunts must not realize what a bad impression it makes when they don't regularly clean the glass doors, windows or bathrooms. It makes a big difference to me & it's easier to trust what is coming out of the kitchen when you arent afraid to touch the menu or bathroom handle because you can see evidence of the millions of other people that have touched the doors before you. ( This waa the case here, but, I overlooked this for the sake of the review) The bar was to the immediate left as you walked in, but you were seperated from it by beams. If you contunued to walk straight, you would walk down a hallway & the restauraunt seating would be to your left, also seperated by beams & half walls. Most of the people who walked in were just picking up & 5:30 there were only 2 tables in the main dining area & 1 person seated at the bar. I sat ar the bar & ordered the ruben w/ onion rings. The Ruben was surprisingly tasty ( i didnt have high hopes), but the swiss was really cheap & had the same consistency of imitation American processed cheese food. The onion rings were greasy & I didn't actually see or taste onion inside, but I do believe they would be passable for most. I could only eat a few & got a stomach ache from the grease, that continued to repeat & disturb me well past 11pm. Overall not the worst meal I've eaten, but definately not the best. Was staying in the area with a large group and we were looking for a sit down brunch. We found this place after the first place we tried couldn't seat a party of 7. It was not busy at the time and the server was happy we came in and did a great job being attentive and accommodating. The cook however seemed inconvenienced by us and one of our guys' food was cold but we didn't dare send it back after the attitude he was openly giving the server. Couldn't quite figure out the cafe as it's in a strip mall and when you pull up it looks like all they have is a bar and counter seating but... go back further in and you'll find a large room with tables and booths. The server acknowledged us immediately and told us to sit wherever we liked. We were given menus and our drink orders weee taken. We ordered the French onion soup, French dip, and the Italian Fat Cat panini. Soup came piping hot with plenty of cheese and loaded with onions. The broth had good flavor but a shot of beef bullion would have added a lot more flavor. Buy it was still enjoyable in a cold day. The French dip was well seasoned and cam with plenty of any jus for dipping. The panini was nicely toasted with a good amount of salami, Genoa salami, and spicy capicola, topped with provolone cheese. This was a great sandwich and I'd order it again. The ambiance of the place is one of cat portraits hanging on all the walls that makes for an enjoyable dining room. The service was excellent with our server being very attentive. Appetizers were amazing. Desserts were terrible. Triple Chocolate cake was hard as a rock. Lava Cake was a chocolate mini bundt cake with chocolate syrup on it. They gave me a scoop of ice cream with my Lava Cake and charged me $4 for it. I was not able to have Sauce for Calamari due to an allergy so asked for Ranch they charged for it. Overall experience was meh.... While the food wasn't bad, it wasn't good either. They do serve very generous portions, however. I ordered the chicken teriyaki, which was $17. The chicken was pretty good, but way too salty, it was hard to eat at some points. The vegetables were the opposite, they were very bland and had absolutely no flavor. The mashed potatoes were the best part of the meal - they had cheese and bacon in them and were very tasty. The drinks were pretty overpriced. They used bottom shelf liquor (crystal palace) and charged $12 for a drink....kind of ridiculous to me. While the bartender was nice, she started sharing details about her personal life and political views very loudly to other customers. I don't mind hearing these sorts of things, but it is a bit unprofessional to talk to your customers about the illegal things you do when you're not working. Probably won't be going back.. read more

Tasted good though. Never received a water refill. Now for the worst part, in my opinion. Flies. Galore. They have an outdoor patio adjacent to the inside seating area. They had the door WIDE open with no screen door. There were flies everywhere. Why is it so difficult for restaurant owners to invest in a $99.00 screen door? It's dark out, you have lights on in your restaurant, no screen door, BUGS and perhaps rodents will enter your dining room. Our server Sarah is one of our favorite. Always friendly and attentive, she brought us our drinks promptly. It was a long day, so we were looking forward to pizza from our favorite Greek restaurant. While having our salad, we heard another waitress tell our server that their table was complaining about their nachos. I thought nothing of it until our pizza arrived. The sausage was sliced like for a grinder, the onions were in clumps on the pizza and the cheese is different...cheap mozzarella. Way too much topping so the pizza was soggy. Couldn't even tell if the sauce is the same because there was so much cheap mozz and crunchy onion. Until you go back to the old recipe for your pizza, I won't be back. Given the location, this was a good place if you are near by. Not many local options with local food. Table service was nice, menu was large, and everyone there looked like they knew each other. We did see a female bartender go a little crazy when someone started walking out the door with a carryout paper menu (#toomuchcoffee). The nice host found us a table and our waitress gave a few good suggestions. Fish and Chips, Nightly special - broiled cod, and Broiled Seafood platter (cod, shrimp and scallops). Everyone was good but somewhat plain. Prices were good for the quality and I would go back if I stayed in the area or in the Casino/Mohegan Sun area. I ordered a bbq burger which has onion rings, cheese, bbq sauce and a side of coleslaw and just substituted the beef burger for a veggie burger patty for $16. I received a veggie burger patty with a piece of lettuce and a tomato. No sauce, no onion, no cheese, and no coleslaw and they charged me $18. When I asked for them to adjust the price so I wasn't getting charged for what I ordered but didn't get she said "well you ordered the veggie burger patty." And I said "yes, but I ordered the bbq burger meal and only got a piece of lettuce and a tomato." And she said "well that's just how it is. Sorry."
