On my last visit I had an adult root beer - I believe it was made with vanilla vodka?- very tasty and whet my whistle for the smoked wings and onion rings to follow. I ADORE their onion rings and it is why I return time and again. They are large and sweet, fried just right- bring me the ketchup! I've been known to fill up on rings and take my wings to go...Which leads me to say how wonderfully tasty and full sized the wings are even after a couple of days in the fridge. They are good warm, cold, room temperature. Experiment with the sauces. The service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. First time stopping in and it was delicious! I love the atmosphere and the service (s/o Melissa) was just as great. The sautéed pierogis and pepper jack bites are to die for and the entree options are endless. Portions are very generous. I also really enjoyed the Bumble Berry Honey Blueberry Ale. Even though it appears to be a large place, there's not much seating so either avoid the weekends or go in early. Honestly, what a shame. I only gave them a 3 as we loved the beer - especially Bumble Berry. Our food service was slow, the food was not good, our order came out wrong, and we were really all put off by the rude note on the menu stating that they were "too busy" to sub out fries for chips. It really doesn't make someone feel welcome, are they really there to make your experience good? We also ordered a salad that did not say it had meat on it, when they brought out the salad with chicken on it they actually said "the picture had meat on it," like we should have known. #notvegetarianfriendly read more

I paid $14 for a cold brisket sandwich, which contained 3 slices of brisket. 3 tiny slices!! There were more pickles on my sandwich than there was beef! Oh, & the sandwich was ice cold by the time my millennial waitress got around to bringing it to the table. The cheese was rock hard! Bottom line - Poor service. Rude millennial waitress. Cold food. Way overpriced menu. The "Potatoe Rules".... do yourself a favor & go somewhere else. At least the beer was good. (Hence the 2nd star). read more

We've been to Fat Heads a number of times since they've opened & all experiences have been good. They have a great beer selection, including options for non-ipas, which is sometimes hard to find in the draft beer world. The food is great, literally everything I've had has been awesome! Its a little annoying you can't swap sides, but I get it (but I prefer the fries over chips)... the hosts can be sticklers on their policies- taking a name & then literally getting a text 1 min saying your table is ready, but nothing major. I love they are one of the few (if only) places that uses the Yelp waitlist-such a great feature that I've taken advantage of in larger cities. read more

Started our day at another brewery in the general area. Was asking for recommendations of other breweries to visit while in town and this couple we'd be chatting with on and off vehemently recommended Fat Head's. So off we went. We walk into this gigantic establishment. Like Stone Brewing size, but even bigger and with a full menu!! Hello, I think I'm at home!! We scored prime spots at the bar and ordered one of the award winning beers the couple had told us about. Then behind the bar we see Grant!! We feel like parents talking about one of our children when leaving here today. This place is awesome for a great number of reasons. First , our waiter Joey, was a totally awesome young man who was working on two mid-terms ,majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics. Every five minutes he was checking on me and my wife and then back to homework which I found so great. Knowledged on the menu and the beer selection and he didn't hesitate to give his personal preference on both food and beer. The prices there are actually unbelievable...I had a triple bi-pass burger which pretty much speaks for itself. Huge burger with bacon, a fried eggs basil, tomatoes, onions, lettuce and mayo....with fries....13 dollars. Wife had a super big and equally tasting Ruben with chips for 12 dollars I believe. Our food was delicious and perfectly cooked. There is nothing at all about this establishment to be critical about. Looks great, food is good with generous portions and the staff are awesome. It's a long wait but worth it. The beer is amazing and the growlers are a great product. They do not get stale quickly per my hubby.

I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but man. 2 times in a row I've come towards the end of the night, but before the scheduled kitchen close, and have been denied food. This most recent time the kitchen was supposed to be open another 40 minutes, but they said I couldn't get food because the kitchen was backed up. Just not very professional. Clearly a chain with institutional food and Friday's like atmosphere and service. One five star review mentioned fast service for food. Pretty good beer, but let's face it, micros and brew pubs are a dime a dozen these days. It takes a lot to stand out. After one visit to this location, I'm just not seeing it. Want to order a sampler flight to get an inkling of their brewing chops? You'll get the first 6 beers off the menu - period. No mix and match, no personal choices - you'll get what they deign to give you. I've been to many a micro, and part of the fun is building your own flight. Not an option here - haven't seen that anywhere else, and I don't like it. One of our party, not much of a beer drinker, ordered a double scotch on the rocks. Also not an option, for reasons that were never cogently explained. You can order a double mixed cocktail, and you can order a single scotch on the rocks, but no scotch/rocks doubles. You can even order two (or more) singles at the same time and double-fist it, if you like, so I don't buy the argument that they're trying to keep their clientele reasonably sober. Seems like just a rule for rules-making sake. Finally, the food. Like the beer, not bad. The prices will turn your head, though, and they're way out of line for that "not bad" level of quality. $11 for a giant pretzel off the apps menu? No thank you. There's probably potential here and I'd be willing to give them a second chance. I'm just not in a big hurry to do that. read more

Just watch because the hot wings can be very hot. It's up my alley but it's not everyone's bag. Be prepared to spend a bit though because it's not cheap but not overly expensive either.
