What is there not to like about this brewery? The beer is one of the best local brands in the area, the food is large and in charge and the atmosphere is very laid back. The beer tends to lean more traditional German style but there are some more unique modern takes mixed in as well. I tried one of the sandwiches this time in and was surprised by the sheer size of it. The might fine bovine came with house smoked brisket and passers I along with a chipotle and pepper kraut. Smoky, spicy, rich, there was nothing to dislike about this beast. The only downer about the meal was the chips that come with were very greasy. Great Sunday at Canton Fat Heads for early lunch. I had a sampling of Bananza-Rama IPA, The Cantonator Doppelbock, Galaxy Smash IPA and Holly Jolly Ale. All were excellent in their own way; fun sampling. Plus, Marie was our server and she is wonderful; a great conversation. She made our time there a lot of fun. Was introduced to Fat Head's beers after attending the Great American Beer Festival several years ago after they won a gold medal for one of their IPAs. Was passing through Canton and took entire family to Fat Head's in Canton for dinner. Service was noticeably lacking from our arrival even though it was an hour from closing time. There was a sign at the front saying pizza was not available due to the pizza oven being broke which was disappointing but it also made me wonder how long it had been broke because in the menus, there was tape across the pizza section that said not available and it looked liked it had been there for a long time. Each family member ordered different entrees and everything was about what you would expect at an Applebees. It wasn't terrible, but nothing that I would remotely make me say "you have to eat here" either. Had a flight of beers and an additional pint which were all very good, but the food was just okay and was a good example of why I believe many breweries should stick to what they do best which is not get into the restaurant business. Fat Head's is phenomenal every time I have been here. My best friend lives in Canton so we make Fat Head's a necessary stop every time we visit up there. Never disappoints. I have had burgers, chicken sandwiches, apps. Every time, it just hits the spot. And their beer speaks for itself. Fat Head's is a contender in the craft beer industry for a reason. They do it right and always have a wide selection of beers on tap to choose from. I can always find something I like (not difficult to do when you put out as many quality beers as Fat Head's does). Service has been fantastic every time as well. This place is doing it all right and I don't have a bad thing to say about them and I have been in multiple times. Staff is super friendly and our server was great. But overall, food was lacking and the beer is luke warm. We got some appetizers of smoke chicken spinach artichoke dip and pretzels with cheese. Smoked chicken tastes burnt and overly smoky and the cheese and congealed. The best part was the service. They were great. Would not recommend. read more

Spacious restaurant with plenty of open seating and a large bar. Although I didn't try the beer, they appear to have a adequate selection of their own craft beers with seasonal varieties as well as all the standards. The food was tasty - I had the stone oven Pizza - The Green Comet with a pesto base, grilled chicken and roasted red peppers - I laughed when the pizza came because the peppers were far from roasted! The were blanched Roma tomatoes cut in half with one placed on each slice. They looked funny, but tasted good! My fiancé had the fish and chips which he proclaimed was very flaky with good taste and not to greasy. He loved the fresh cut fries. An average brewery. I would call the food average. Nothing great. We got nachos to share with our table and they surprisingly use potato chips rather than tortilla chips. I wouldn't get them again. Maybe some would like them, I was not a fan. My wife got a pizza with BBQ sauce. Not bad, but the sauce was pretty weird. I wouldn't get it again. I got a philly cheesesteak with fries that I would say was the best thing I had there. Again, didn't blow me away but pretty decent. Pretty solid beer selection with lots of options. My girlfriend and I go frequently. This is a great place to eat some great food and drink some delicious Fat Heads Beer. We always get the Red, Hot, and Blue burger and it's always exquisite. And for the beverage. I always get a Goggle Fogger Hefeweizen while waiting for the food, and order a second beer when our food arrives. Usually what ever entices me. Their beer menu is always updating and come out with new brews relatively often. It's a great place to eat, drink, and have great conversation. Prost! read more

In this current climate, I would expect restaurants to step up their A game in service. Not the case here. Seated 10 minutes before anyone approached the table. There were about 15 others in the place at this time with 4 servers working. Food and beer was pretty good, not stellar, or enough to warrant a return. But the low rating comes because our nonexistent server spilled a cup of ketchup all over my wife and then laughed and walked away. Thank goodness the bartender witnessed it, and offered my wife a Tide to Go pen. I know accidents happen, but take some responsibility! Go get a wet cloth. She had ketchup all over her face, all down the front of her blouse. To just walk away and mutter "sorry" is not acceptable. Sorry, with so many other restaurants begging for business right now, I will spend my money elsewhere. read more

So good!!!! We came here last Sunday as we've been to the North Olmsted location and wanted to see if this one was just as good. This location is EVEN BETTER! The space is large and perfect for groups, the food is delicious and the service is fantastic! We ordered the fried mushrooms to start which came with a delicious horseradish sauce....YUM! Husband got the Mo Betta Beef and Cheddar sandwich which was enormous and flavorful. I got the Green Comet pizza which has my favorite pizza sauce...PESTO! It also included chicken, tomatoes, onions and drizzled with balsamic glaze. I could eat it again and again and have been dreaming s kit it since. The beer selection like any fat heads is great and the service was awesome. We will be back!!! read more

My wedge salad was delicious. The service, not so much. I was ignored by every bartender (3) except for 1 female. They never made eye contact, not even while I was trying to flag them down with my credit card to lay my bill. read more

Had a great first time experience here. The food was just enough portion and good delicious value for the buck. The server recommended the briskets and it was a hit. I was able to sample 4 beers in the nice little 3oz glasses didn't know it cost me but no biggie. The samples were worth it too!! Much larger inside than appears. Fat heads beer is killer and is a staple in my fridge so getting it on tap locally is a huge bonus. The restaurant is clean and spacious, and there is plenty of seating at the bar. The rolling garage doors are impressive and lead to a fairly large patio. In the summer they keep these open. Food is ok at best. Insane portion sizes but I often find the flavors lacking. The fries had so much salt and pepper on them I couldn't eat more than one. Bun on the burgers is too big and makes it awkward to eat. Will go back for small bites and brews but I'll skip the main course. read more

I've been here two times now, and the food definitely doesn't disappoint! The sandwiches and burgers are HUGE and there is such a variety. I would recommend getting the killer sauce on the side if you're picky about spicy things. My biggest complaint is that they don't want you to substitute the sides with the sandwiches and burgers, burgers come with fries and sandwiches get chips. I got the bacon cheeseburger last time and honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a long time! Now I will say, I hate craft beer but from what I see there is a variety of it so if that's your thing then it's a good place to go. Service is good. It tends to get busy, but they're pretty fast so it's not that bad. read more

Big & open, with a great patio. They're always really busy, so expect to wait but also be comforted that they're pretty efficient with seating people. It's kid friendly; and noisy. Their food is delicious- whatever you try you seriously can't go wrong. I would skip on the desserts though and just drink more beer ;) we were not impressed with the cheesecake balls we ordered. I always love fat heads. I am giving it 4 stars because they still have a limited menu. They need to get the Monte Cristo and the South side slopes back on the menu. I got a sandwich that was the special and it was great. Maybe the best bacon I've ever had on the sandwich. read more

What a fun environment!! Stopped in to watch some NCAA basketball on March 19. Sandwiches were great. Fries were properly seasoned. Beer was just as good. Had the Bumble Berry Honey Blueberry ale.
