I had the ribs and they fell off the bone but were still dry somehow. When eating bbq ribs I expect to have to bite the meat off the rib while it still being moist and tender but that was not the case. The potato salad was ok and I guess was a safer choice as this item did not need to be microwaved too. This was my second time coming here and the first time was ok enough for me to try it again but not memorable. However the second visit will be the last. Visited on a slow Sunday night. Everything was awesome. We dined in, and our server was friendly and attentive, she kept our glasses full and made sure we had everything we needed. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was friendly. For the food we had a burger and fries, pork quesadilla with fries, and wings. Everything was cooked perfect. Honestly we couldn't be happier. When we arrived we drove up to the drive thru window and our food order was ready to go (within 25mins of ordering). I had the ribs, burnt ends & smashed potatoes w/ mild BBQ sauce. Everything was delicious. The sauce was tasty, the ends were flavorful and the ribs were good. The potatoes needed a bit of salt & pepper but still very good. The meal was priced at $29.99. My daughter also enjoyed the ribs and she noted the cheese fries needed more cheese but overall she was satisfied. My son, Anthony, has ordered from here quite a few times using his doordash account and raved about their sandwiches and their loaded fries. After bringing him home after very long day of surgery on his arm today, he was extremely hungry (not being able to eat since 9pm last night), and was craving Fat Jack's BBQ and Loaded Fries! From start to finish, our order only took maybe 10 minutes and since we located not too far, food was fresh & hot when hubby brought it in. I forgot to take pics of my son's food bc I just wanted to get it on a TV tray & get it to him so he can get his rest. But I did get a couple shots of mine & hubby's as we began to dig in. (Long day, we were starving, lol). Anyway, as soon as I stuck a fork in to taste the Carolina Pulled Pork, I was like, "OMG, grab my phone, I gotta get a pic!!" That was the YUMMIEST Pulled Pork I've ever had! 5 Stars on that! Soo moist, tender and the delicious bbq sauce, OMG, heaven!! The collard greens, were not my cup of tea, so to speak. I'm picky. It's not that they were salty or yucky, I just didn't like them. They had meat and onions in them with a sweet taste. Hubby liked them just fine and ate them. For me, my favorite collard greens are at Mission BBQ with that Carolina Vinegar Sauce. So, my actual rating is 4 1/2 Stars, only deducting 1/2 star for the collards. NJ is a food paradise but it's definitely a BBQ wasteland. This place is an absolute gem. My wife ate the best BBQ of her life in Nashville, TN and she agreed this was legit just as good. I got the brisket cheesesteak. Wow. Not only the best brisket I've ever had, but damn is that a fantastic sandwich. Wife got the wings with the Memphis dry rub with a side of hot bbq. Insanely good. The dry rub added a crispy, flavorful crust that was just as good as fried. We'll get the wings again for sure. Our only complaint is that every time we come to this restaurant it's freezing cold. You have to eat with your coat on we said some thing, but pretty sure it fell on deaf ears. I am for the inflated prices they charge. I should be able to eat my food and not be freezing. That's the only reason I'm giving three stars. read more

In the flip end of that the brisket was lean and pretty dry and the Mac and cheese was very oily. Pretty average bbq. Memphis dry rub ribs were overcooked. The spices instead of bringing a savory heat were just char burnt flavor. Memphis chicken didn't have much flavor. I would estimate a tbs of sauce was plopped on my order. This left almost all of my chicken dry. It was also cold. Why was it cold? Well, perhaps it was forgotten about! This is very likely, since I was told it would be a 45 minute wait, but it actually took 90 minutes. My husband, a very patient man, kept inquiring about the time, but was told to wait for a text. Of course, the text never came. When all was said and done we received room temperature food after double the wait. If it was amazing food I would forgive it. Coleslaw: I was disappointed to see it with so much celery seed in it. I tried it and I liked it better than I thought I would but I wouldn't get it again. Stopped here with the misses as we both enjoy BBQ. The service was good and the folks are friendly. You order at the register then sit and wait at a basic table and chairs.
