I get the allure of this place: big gluttonous over the top sandwiches. I had never heard of the place, but my kids had and wanted to go because one of their favorite influences had a sandwich there. In the end nobody ordered said sandwich, but we did order: Fat Hot Chick, Fat Cug, West Coast Burger, and a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. The food was ok, the burger was probably the best out of the 4. The Fat Cug was dry, needed more sauce of some kind and the mac and cheese bites in the Fat Hot Chick were a weird consistency that threw us off. Caesar Salad was average. All in all it was average. Quality of the food is decent. They skimp on the meat for fat Jerry it's more so loaded with lowered cost food and a little bit of meat Strawberry shortcake milkshake almost chemical like. Golly this place was so so tasty! Definitely one of my favorite eats on Fremont Street. They even had $1 beers (probably about 8-10oz) with the purchase of a fat sandwich. Draft of Estrella or Shock Top were the options I believe. We were a big group so we tried the tuna salad ($19), Caesar Salad Wrap ($16), Smash Burgers and Reuben Sandwich ($17). I personally tried the Caesar wrap and Reuben and both were phenomenal. You could tell the ingredients were fresh, thoughtful and the serving size was big enough even for a hungry man. The Tuna Salad was a huge portion! It surprised me. Most restaurants don't have salads this good! I would easily order any of these items again. I ordered the turkey bacon avocado sandwich. The bread was soft and tasted fresh. The turkey had a nice flavor and they did not slack on the portion provided. Avocado was well, an avocado. It was chunky and good. My family had the bacon cheeseburgers. The only complaint was there was a little too saucy. Otherwise good burger, nothing too great though. Fries were crispy and fresh. I found it to be just OK. I've had much better Italian subs elsewhere. The problem with fawning Yelp reviews is they create an expectation that most places have a hard time living up to. The drill is you order and pay at the counter, and they give you a thing that lights up and buzzes when your food is ready. It was fine, and the employees were friendly.
