If you want a great tiny lunch, this is the spot. Via Focaccia is a spot in Ellis Island Casino's food court of sorts. I brought my friend who was kinda craving sandwiches so that we could try a couple. I usually park in the narrow lot by their hotel on Koval, and fortunately there was still one spot available. Upon entering the casino via the closest set of doors, we found Via Focaccia immediately to the right. We had to take our order to-go since the only two tables they had were both taken, and we ended up borrowing a bench outside by the rideshare area. My choice of Pastrami Palazzo ($14.00) was a really delicious sandwich. The focaccia bread was airy, the brisket pastrami was tender, the fontina was gooey, the mushrooms and caramelized onions were luscious, and the honey mustard aioli tied it all together. The main thing about this and presumably all the other sandwiches though is that they're pretty small, like more of a snack than a real meal. I split sandwiches with my buddy and didn't enjoy his The Sicilian ($14.00) as much. The salami and arugula were really intense and the red pepper spread didn't add enough creaminess or sweetness to alleviate the issue. I was also sipping on a blood orange soda by San Pellegrino ($4.00) which also added lingering bitterness to the palate, so that didn't help. If you don't mind a takeout spot for small sandwiches, check out Via Focaccia. Don't rely on finding seating or getting really full though.

With the new Ellis Island expansion I was excited to try out this little shop selling focaccia sandwiches...we were staying close by so I begged the hub to check it out with me. Not many places to sit, only two tables...thank goodness they were both empty. We were originally going to split a sandwich, because when I read the price, I figured it was big enough for two with our small appetites, but sadly they are really good for one...and may need a side to fill you up. I went with the caprese fresca...a cold sandwich that had no meat because I was feeling something light. This was ok...certainly not worth 14 dollars in my opinion. Hub got the Ham and cheese...a hot sandwich....and he liked it...this was 12 dollars....still a little on the high side. We ate our expensive sandwiches on some small stools with a table right up on the restaurant...definitely no ambience..ha ha...but it was a quick lunch grab. To be honest, I will never return...it is just not worth it...what would I have gotten in the Village pub or the Front yard for lunch for 14 dollars? A lot more than this. Employees were very nice.

Via Focaccia is located inside the newly renovated Ellis Island (parking is free outside and in the garage). I saw their ad in Facebook for a free sandwich offer, so we were excited to go try it. We got the Italian American Club (turkey, bacon, cheddar, avocado aioli) with the free sandwich offer (normally it'd be $14) and a vanilla napoleon dessert ($6.50). The service was a bit slow (we were waiting at the counter for 5 minutes while everyone was in the back). The service was friendly when they did show up. We played some slots so I'm not sure how long the actual food took to come out, but the sandwich was so so salty we could barely eat it. I know their bread is freshly baked but I couldn't even enjoy it because of the sodium overload. The vanilla napoleon was ok, the pastry tasted semi-stale but the cream was great. They have other offers once you sign up on Facebook Messenger (free coffee, free pastry with coffee purchase, etc) so maybe a different sandwich would have tasted better. If you're planning to go to Ellis Island, sign up for their offers and give them a try!

Very tasty sandwich, I had the Classica which is capocollo, ham, mortadella, and provolone cheese with an olive tapenade. The sandwich had plenty of meat and cheese, and the olive tapenade is delicious. Service was excellent and efficient. If you're in the Ellis Island Casino, this isn't a bad option for a quick lunch.

    The Special 10/1/25

I was skeptical at first when I was brought here for lunch. I mean, LV has so many good eateries, a sandwich spot seemed a little on the basic side. But after the first bite, I can see why this place has near 5 stars. The Special: Cotto Ham with Truffle, Stracciatella, Roasted Tomato, & Arugula 5/5* The first thing I noticed when I opened up the box was the super soft, fluffy focaccia and the smell of truffle oil. The sandwich was a pillowy mound of truffle heaven. The cold ingredients paired well and tasted light and refreshing. I especially love anything with arugula and this really shined through. The bread wasn't as toasted as I'd like, but for the subtle flavors of cotto ham and stracciatella, the soft bread was perfect. Pastrami Palazzo 5/5* This sandwich was much more heftier and weighed more than the special. I felt the weigh in my hands and knew it was loaded with pastrami. The meat was flavorful and not too salty and well balanced with the savory mushrooms and creamy gooey cheese. The focaccia bread was fluffy and had a thin layer of crunch on the top and bottom. It was toasted a bit better than The Special. We had planned to only eat half a sandwich but it was so good, we devoured the whole thing. Even after eating the entire sandwich, I didn't feel heavy and gross like you would eating something greasy and carb-heavy. The sandwich left me feeling light yet satisfied. Great affordable sandwich spot with amazing fresh baked bread and quality ingredients. The focaccia was so fluffy!! I'm definitely a fan now and would highly recommend if you want a break from a heavy meal.

TASTY PASTRAMI PALAZZO!!! I signed up for their FREE OFFERS on fb! They give you 2 free sandwich's, free coffee, and one other buy one get one free offer! So I got to try their $14 sandwich for free today and I like to say the pastrami was warm and the sauce, cheese, mushrooms, were delicious! I can't eat bread so took the bread off! This place is located in the casino area of ellis island, it's a resort type place but the restaurant is a tiny restaurant it's cute! Try it out!! Lots of customers ordering here! They have one chef and he's nice!

Excellent place just off the Strip. Great sandwiches and pastries as well as great service. All their meats and cheeses are made in Italy.

    8/10/24 the perfect Brisket pastrami
    Melissa C.

Bravo! Amazing brisket pastrami. After the first bite, I said this is a perfect sandwich. The flavors are just amazing. The meat was so tender and flavorful! These are world sandwich championship winning sammies, too. I got $5 off the sandwich with a bimonthly dining offer from the casino. A bargain for $9! I've also had a breakfast sandwich with bacon that was very good. There's a yelp check in deal for a free donut. I asked about it and was told we don't have donuts. Aw nuts! Service was friendly and fast. Seating is a challenge but there is a tiny high limit slot area next to the restaurant which isn't too busy that could serve as a place to eat. I always got the sandwich to go.

    Classic! Legit
    Bill J.

Damn. This sandwich is legit! I've been to Florence and Genoa and had the pleasure of trying the original focaccia sammy in Italy. I gotta say it was really tasty and followed the traditional ingredients used in Italy. Don't start too far from the classic though, some of the ingredients are more American than what you would find in Italy. The price is a bit more than I wills like, but it's understandable why you realise they use authentic Italian ingredients that may be hard to find. It's a strange location for an authentic focaccia sandwich, but it's worth the trip if you're a local. Support this business so they can expand and open in the burbs. You will not be dissatisfied.

classica - ham, mortadella, capicola, provalone, olive spread

Via Focaccia is a small food stand located in the Ellis Island Casino (near the strip) but it isn't ordinary. This small food stand offers artisanal special focaccia sandwiches by an award wining world sandwich champion. OMGosh these sandwiches truly are amazing! Not all but most of the sandwiches are on the Italian side and a few are vegetarian. My husband tried the Classica (ham, mortadella, capicola, provolone, olive spread). The meats were all high quality. It was delicious and the fresh baked bread was like no other. Here the pastrami sandwich has been reinvented. It's like no other anywhere and is amazing! The flavors all go together incredibly well. And the light airy crispy special focaccia must be tasted to be believed. Life changing sandwiches from a little casual stand in the Ellis Island Casino.

Brisket Pastrami 1/2 on the left. Classica 1/2 on the right

I loved the Beef Brisket Pastrami. I thought it was better than the New Yorker roast beef Sandwhich from All'Antico Vinaio. I!did not like the Classica sandwich the Olive Tepenade was way over powering I can barely taste the Mortadella. My guess is that they wanted to create something like a Muffaletta but fell short. The fresh bread though was very good !!!! I'll stop by next time I'm in the area and try a different sandwich with a repeat of the Beef Brisket Pastrami.

Fresh pizzas made daily and pastries like breakfast sandwiches, croissants, and my favorite the jersey beef with au jus really made my night without spending $200 on dinner somewhere else. For 20 bucks I got a super fresh crunchy delicious beef sandwich with peppers, cheese, onion, a side of chips and a drink for the night before I stopped at another convenience spot and got a turkey club and a Gatorade for $35. I had to wait several minutes to be able to eat it. Once I took my first bite I was an absolute shock at how delicious it was. I love a ton of pepperoni and this slice was unmatched in the amount of pepperoni. The machine gives great service. It only takes eight minutes to create the slice and it comes out so piping hot. Opened 20 years ago from multi-Michelin star winner, Thomas Keller, this chef-driven bakery is actually a small stall that sits in front of the Venetian Theatre. What it lacks in visibility, it makes up for in quality pastries that few places in Vegas have been able to match. There is no seating, so this is strictly a takeout situation. The display case is usually stock full of goodies in pastry form, but the two standouts here is the kouign amann and their enormous French macaron. The latter makes it look more like a cookie, but it is as delicate and delicious as any should be. Their kouign amann is their unofficial star of the show since it's sensational. That caramelized laminated dough is so difficult to pull off, but it's done beautifully here. Additionally their chocolate chip cookies are strangely addicting. The butter that is used to bake them is obvious with each bite and the cream cheese danishes are like cupcakes with a harder texture. Finish it off with a coffee from Equator Coffee and try to avoid the morning crowds. Lastly, a big shout out to their service for being friendly and personable.
