    Garlic Chicken
    Kirby D.

A local favorite. We were an across the street at Starbucks and asked the barista for a recommendation for lunch. He quickly recommended Fatboys as a place locals go. You can often find trays of the Garlic Chicken at local Hawaiian gatherings from Fatboys. Let me see if I can channel my inner local, "you want the grindz bruddah, Fatboys got the kind" We had the Garlic Chicken. Crispy, amazing flavors and juicy, can best describe the deliciousness that is the Garlic chicken. Served with the traditional rice and Mac, it was Hawaiian perfection. [[HIGHLIGHT]]With outdoor seating, Fatboys is a great place to grab a bite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You may even be greeted by the local "free range" chickens.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Mini Garlic Chicken Plate ...
    Teri N.

Walked in at the right time ... order a mini garlic chicken plate like I always do ... haven't had this for at least 8 years! It's still very good! There was either 6 or 8 pieces of chicken perfectly fried then coated with just the right amount of sauce. One scoop of rice and one scoop of Mac salad. Winner winner chicken dinner!! Love this place from the time he first opened to now!

My top go to in Kailua for a quick plate lunch. Their garlic chicken is my absolute favorite! Service was quick and friendly!

Stumbled across this place and here goes Very good pricing for Hawai'i Food was fairly good (I got the loco moco) Service was fast but oddly not very friendly. Not sure if because we are haole. Was funny when I walked back in to thank them and tell her we enjoyed the food. Not sure she expected that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating is outside so if very hot be advised.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would go back again.

Not many parking spots outside. They do have a bathroom tho but you have to ask for the key. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Hole in the wall interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You order and then sit outside. No indoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was quick. Didn't get much meat on my plate. Gravy was delicious. But most of the food was all rice. Plate was 13.60$. Nothing amazing. I could find this back in the bay.

Got hungry on my roadtrip so we stopped here! Wanted something local, fast and small. Opted for Fatboy's bento and it was right on point! Good service, nice little spot compared to other places in the area great value and good portion!

Kailua Kalua Pig (Lunch & Dinner)

Kailua pig/pork was good, Mac salad not so much - Mac salad was not normal Hawaiian Mac salad , very unseasoned Service was quick and friendly! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Environment was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Regular size plates. Garlic chicken/teriyaki beef combo and katsu plate.
    Ramiro H.

Parking is hit or miss due to competing venues but there's a huge lot at Target within walking distance so we parked there. Always a line but moves relatively smooth. I had the Gaelic chicken, teriyaki beef combo and some katsu chicken too. The garlic chicken is really good but I got a lot of fried crisp that lacked meat on some parts. The beef flavor was unique and compliments the rice but quite salty. The plates come with rice and mac salad but even eating that didn't completely fill me up and I got the regular, not the mini. I'll be back to try some more food because although, it wasn't filling, it was tasty.

We decided to get dinner from here since we were on this side of the island. I got the garlic chicken and roast pork plate. It was horrible! The roast pork was so bland- no flavor at all even with the gravy, it was like brown gravy but no taste too. Onions were raw on one side then burnt on the other. The rice was so mushy! The two stars is solely for the garlic chicken- lots of flavor and crunchy when I ate it. My husband got the loco moco and it wasn't that great. The hamburger was hard and the gravy had no taste. Not sure if I'll give them another try. Parking in front or in the back of the restaurant. We had to park in the back since there was no parking in front.

    Instant saimin for 50 bucks
    Kalai F.

Called in an order for garlic chicken and fried saimin. Pikup was in an hour or so.. Both were small orders. I figured according to the pics on their yelp page it be like 30 sum bucks each. Total was 105 dollars! Dayum inflation is f'real! Upon getting to the party less than a mile away. Chicken was already soggy and pretty crappy tasting. Im not sure if they changed the recipe but its not the same as when they first opened. The next dish... Fried Saimin.‍ who the heck maked fried noodles with instant saimin? Wtf???? This was the crappiest fried saimin ever! And it was fifty bucks! Fat boys is just out in my books.

    Garlic chicken

The most popular item, garlic chicken. Crispy, big chunky pieces of chicken, and most of all the flavor was hella good. I wasn't feeling the Mac salad tho. Good price, quick service, would go back for the same plate.

I lived here 8 years ago. Coming back to visit this was the once place I knew I needed to come back to. The garlic chicken is as good as ever, and the Mac salad and rice just complete its perfectness. Thanks for the smiles from the staff when we entered, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]such a relaxing outside space to eat![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Keep it up y'all, best in town!

So you know I was surprised to see a beautifully painted building of a surfer girl, octopus tentacles and cute classic VW bus and had to see what was there and it's located right down the street from the Aloha Home Market which is the reason I was in Kailua and after a bit of browsing I got hungry and knew I had to see what Lilikoi Kitchen had to offer. Slightly confused as it shares a small space with a tattoo parlor though walking in the do make the most of the space as there's a service area where there's two ladies doing it all and immediately informed me that it will take approximately 25 minutes for any orders which is great to know upfront. Menu is quite impressive for this cute cafe and though there are many items that caught my cravings it has to have Lilikoi...right!? Monte Cristo is ham, provolone cheese with Lilikoi jam grilled between Japanese style white bread and Lilikoi Iced Tea is the perfect pairing on this Sunday afternoon and gosh what a treat! The cheese pull was insane and the grill was done with perfect marks as you can see it wasn't rushed and grilled perfectly and I loved that it came with some greens and of course Lilikoi dressing...yum! There are some high bar type seating inside but decided that the outside was much more comfy and really enjoyed it all the iced tea was perfectly balance with Lilikoi, the wait can be avoided with a phone order but I rarely plan that early and had no idea it even existed but will be back for the other items. Thank you!
