Overall a superlative experience. Cardinal completed my central air-conditioning repair on the same…read moreday I made the call. From the time of my initial phone call to completion of the work took about six hours. This included acquisition of new parts. This came on the heels of a six day delay by another HVAC company that performed a diagnostic visit then lost contact with me despite me making multiple attempts for follow information.

We are so glad that we followed the recommendations of several of our friends to hire Cardinal HVAC…read moreto service our air conditioning/heating needs. They are very professional, thorough and respectful of the homes they go into always wearing booties without even being asked to. I really appreciate that they stick closely to the appointment times as stated showing they value and respect their customers and their time as well. The biggest thing that really impressed me was last year we had just walked in the door on a Sunday to find that our furnace was out. I was not going to even call until the next morning as I figured there's no way we're gonna get them out on a Sunday. It wasn't even a thought in my mind but then my husband said you should call and at least get on the list so that when they come into the shop on Monday morning, at least they'll see that we called and hopefully we might be one of the first of their stops. It was going to be extremely cold the next few days so we were really hoping that the repair could be done as soon as possible. So I called and I left a message never expecting to hear from them until sometime Monday. Much to my surprise I got a call back. I'd say within 15-20 minutes. I told the girl our furnace was out and she said she could have someone at our house within two hours after they were finished with the other call they were ready taking care of. I almost fell off my chair!!! I could not believe first of all to even get a call back on a Sunday let alone have someone able to come to our house within two hours. They were at our house within two hours as stated and were able to diagnose the issue and had a part on their truck which they said they could repair it right then and there. We were absolutely so grateful to them and knew even more so that we had picked the right company to do business with without a doubt. So within three hours of the time we walked in the door, our furnace was up and running, and we were taken care of with no worries with the subzero windchill factors that were forecasted for the next few days. I realize there may not always be a time when they will happen to have parts on the truck and can address every single issue a customer may have but to know that they are there and they actually really care about their customers and their comfort and safety gives me the level of comfort and satisfaction knowing we are in good hands with an exceptional company.

Super satisfied with the work they did. They used shoe covers inside the house. Highly recommend…read morethem

I'm happy to leave positive reviews when warranted, but unfortunately this experience fell short…read more That was even before any work was performed. I contacted LaCassa to get estimates for two projects. During my initial call, I was informed there would be an $87 fee for a technician to come out and provide an estimate. That was not an issue because I was also informed the $87 would be credited back if I signed a contract to perform the work. During the visit, I was then told it would cost an additional $395 just to assess the issue in order to provide the estimate I originally requested, and that was for the first project. This charge was described as a "diagnostic charge.' From my perspective, I had already paid for an estimate as I requested in my initial phone call, when in reality I apparently paid for someone to tell me I'd have to pay more to get that estimate. That within itself was misleading. For the second project, I was given a price with a condition attached, essentially, the price only applied "if" nothing went wrong. I was then asked if I wanted to move forward with the work, without being told what the cost would be if that condition wasn't met. I understand this is an older home and things could happen, but you can't give me a conditional estimate without providing the cost for both sides of that condition. I did eventually get that information after raising concerns, but it should have been clearly communicated upfront, providing me with the big picture. Overall, the lack of transparency and clarity during the initial interaction led me to make the decision to not move forward with this company. Communication is key. EDIT TO CARMEN: I do understand the need for an in person evaluation. However, your response is relative to the dishwasher part of the request only. With that said, I've never had a company come out to provide an estimate without performing the steps required to complete that estimate. In this case, I was simply told that you'll have to pay $87 for a visit (all good), but then you have to pay an additional $395 to get that estimate (not good) when I could have been told that over the phone just as you typed in your reply. Leading the customer down the path of thinking they're going to get an estimate instead of stating up front there could be additional steps/costs required to get that estimate is misleading. That's an example of my transparency concern. In regard to the outdoor spigot part of the request. You didn't address giving a conditional estimate without providing the cost for both sides. I had to ask for that when it should have been provided prior to me being asked if I wanted to sign for the work. Of course I'm not going to sign without knowing both sides of the coin. That's an example of my communication concern. We all have different expectations and I simply want others to know what happened to me. It creates an awareness of what they may be up against if the tech comes across something that as you state, isn't 'normal'. It may also help someone know what questions to ask to help prevent it. I felt the need to clarify that my concerns were not related to the $87. They were related to the communication and transparency since your response only reframes what your process is. Thank you for taking the time to reply to me though, as I really do appreciate it. Take care.
