I appreciate their honesty. We had two other companies evaluate our air conditioner. There were three possible issues: a bad capacitor, a bad motor, or the need for a completely new unit. We suspected it might be the capacitor, but the first technician pushed for a new motor. The second technician didn't mention the capacitor or the motor and instead recommended replacing the entire unit for $9,000. Aquaduct diagnosed the problem as a faulty capacitor and replaced it. If we truly needed a new air conditioner, that would have been fine. Our current unit is 15 years old, and we understand that it might have been time. But what we wanted was an honest assessment, and that's exactly what Aquaduct provided. I highly recommend Aquaduct! read more

We had an extremely poor experience with Aquaduct Plumbing after they installed our water heater. The installation was not done correctly (dielectric union, flue and drain pan) and corrosion developed at the dielectric union within a few years. This issue was pointed out to their technician during a service visit, & we followed up by email with photos clearly showing the corrosion. They claimed it was not their fault and since it is outside the labor warranty they wouldn't take care of it. When the issue recently worsened and we asked them to stand behind their installation, they pointed to an expired labor warranty and then stopped responding to our emails entirely. A water heater installation should last far longer than this without corrosion at the fittings, and a reputable plumbing company should take responsibility when a clear installation issue is identified, regardless of elapsed time. Unfortunately that was not our experience with Aquaduct Plumbing. Now I have a 4 year old water heater that will likely need fully replaced because of this piece that is almost fully corroded. Very pleased and impressed with Aquaduct Plumbing today. They replaced my 50 gallon water heater. The whole process was great! It started with a visit a week or so ago to look at the project and give me a no hassle quote. The quote was comparable and less expensive than some of the other quotes I got. But was really further impressed with the professionalism and COVID preparedness every step of the way! Would not recommend this place at all. Being a small business you think they would treat repeat customers better. Work that was done had mismatched materials, some of which ended up leaking and it's been an absolute nightmare trying to get them to make it right. Overall just unprofessional behavior and I didn't care for how they made us the customer feel. For being a supposedly woman owned company, they sure don't treat women customers well at all. Save your time AND money! Called Aquaduct to replace a bathroom faucet, shower head and shower valve. The service person, Gus, looked at the sink and said, you bought the wrong one. I asked if the size was wrong and he replied, "No, you should buy a Moen." I explained that we liked the faucet we purchased and asked if he could install it. 10 mins later, he informs us, "this sink is missing a part, I can't install it. You should buy a Moen." It was brand new from the store. He then said, the shower parts were wrong and I need to buy a Moen. (He's a plumber?!?!? Why does he need a specific brand?) AFTER he took the service check, he said he would call us to reschedule. Never heard from him or the company and my sink has been left as shown in the attached photos. Very good plumbers, we had used them previously. However, last week we had a problem with the girl who handles the phone calls and scheduling. We live 4 minutes from our daughter's house where a shower was to be installed and had set aside the entire day for this appointment. We were waiting by the phone for the promised call with notice that the plumbers were on their way so we could zip over to the work site, our daughter's house. No call came in. I found out later, when *I* called, that the plumbers had arrived and left without our even being notified. Now our project is delayed and the receptionist has refused to reschedule our appointment because I pointed out her lie (she claims that she had called us to let us know the plumbers were on the way but our caller ID and phone provider call logs prove that she did not). I would never utilize this company unless you want poor work quality, advice that is inconsistent with the manufacture's user manuals, and poor customer service. We've spent $12,000 with Aquaduct over the last two years including the installation of a tankless water heater. A little less than a year after Aquaduct installed our tankless water heater and the shut off valves with it, we attempted to use the shut-off valve. It did not function as water continues to flow through it. Jason who is also the owner, came out and said the shut off valve was working fine and we should just pay him $350 to clean the tankless water heater. During this conversation he provided information that contradicts the information that we were provided when we purchased our Navien tankless water heater from Aquaduct. This information also contradicts the information provided in the manufacturer's brochures that we were provided when purchased the product. Jason told us that we needed professional cleaning at a cost of $350 every 2-3 years. He specifically said that annual cleaning is not necessary. Navien recommends annual cleaning (https://www.navieninc.com/blog/notice/how-to-descale-tankless-water-heaters). He also stated that vinegar could not be used as the cleaning agent, despite the manufacturer's website (https://www.navieninc.com/blog/notice/how-to-descale-tankless-water-heaters) stating that vinegar can be used as the cleaning agent. He stated that the 1/6th horsepower pump that we have cleaning the tank is too large. It's disappointing to see someone who has done more than $12,000 worth of work at our home in the past two years, give answers that are not consistent with the manufacture's advice of the products that his company recommended for our home. It's more disappointing that we won't stand behind the faulty shut off valve that he installed. read more

We had an emergency situation at 1 a.m. and called Aquaduct. The gentleman on the phone was very knowledgeable and walked us through shutting off the main valve to the house. He promised they would be out first thing in the morning -- around 8 a.m. Well, they didn't get her until around 11 a.m. We needed a new Moen cartridge and they replaced it. HOWEVER, the did not tell us the price upfront so we were surprised at $341. I asked for a senior discount and he said it was already included. We paid by credit card and they emailed me the receipt. The receipt had 1 line item of misc for $341. I have never before received a receipt from a plumber (or electrician, etc.) that did not itemize the part, the labor, the senior discount, sales tax, etc. There was no mention of any warranty on the part or even proof that the replaced the part even though we know that they did. They also did not show us the damaged part that they replaced. I will not use them again and for these reasons I cannot recommend them. read more

Based on reviews and Facebooks recommendations, we called Aquaduct to have someone come out and look at our water softener. They sent someone who basically knew nothing about water softeners. Asked him multiple questions and he finally just admitted he works in the city and didn't know anything about water softeners. Our sump pump began having issues after almost a week of steady rain. I called Aquaduct after reading great reviews about them on a local community FB group. They showed up within a few hours of my phone call and immediately diagnosed and explained the problem. They offered a couple of different options, and did not push for a new install. We elected to have the sump pump replaced as it was 10 years old. They were able to replace it with a brand new one right then and there. They also assisted in contacting a radon mitigation company that was able to respond within 30 minutes and reset/reseal the radon mitigation system. I was having drain backup issues when using the washer. They charged me for coming out and just sticking the washer hose in the drain. I repeatedly asked if I should fill the washer and drain it to replicate what it does. The plumber said no. So, next time laundry is done, the drain backs up. I called for them to come back out and they were going to charge me double but then they could not even come. So called another plumber how unclogged my drain for a lot less they they would have charged me. I had a huge mess to clean up because the black sludge came up two drains. Not only did he answer the phone on a Sunday, he helped me determine what sort of work I might need with our gas pipes, he also offered solutions that might save me money rather than just convincing me that I needed a plumber. Consumers beware! I had Aquaduct Plumbing installed a new toilet on Dec.20th, 2017. I assume everything was fine when they left, it was a simple installation. In Oct. of this year, my son went into the crawl space and inform me my toilet was leaking. I called Aquaduct Plumbing as they have a years labor warranty, and they came to check on why it was leaking. The technician told me that my toilet had been installed with screws that were the incorrect size for my toilet. I believe the technician who originally installed my toilet re-used the screws from my previous toilet and did not use the screws that came with the new toilet. (he also did not install the caps for those screws). Additionally they informed me that there was a lot of mold as a result of the leak. They recommended I call my insurance co. & they would pay for the removal of the mold. I called Aquaduct and ask to speak to a manager, I was told they would call me back. I waited four days, no call, so I call again & requested to speak to a manager or I would go to social media. Within fifteen minutes I received a call from one of the owners. She mentioned she was investigating the problem. A week later I received a letter stating that it was a failed wax ring, and not by the labor that was performed. The technician that was here never mentioned a failed wax ring, I would think he would have give it to me to follow up with the manufacturer. They won't respond to my letters, they decided its not their problem I have mold due to a bad installation. I was very disappointed with their service this was a simple installation.
