The staff was not welcoming. It was almost as if we were disturbing their evening by coming into the restaurant but we decided to stay and give them a chance. Maybe the food would be amazing! We ordered the nachos supreme. With carne asada. The plate was generously heaped with chips and meat, some refried beans, tomatoes and cilantro. So it looked promising.The meat was ok.. the chips were dry with only a sprinkle of shredded cheese that wasn't melted. The guacamole was some sort of reconstituted odd color of green slurry that had a runny, foamy texture. We decided to get an extra side of beans to give the chips and meat something to stick together with. The cup of beans was also some type of dehydrated reconstituted mixture (which wasn't apparent when mixed with the meat and tomatoes on the actual plate of "nachos"). Very gross The beans (like the guacamole) had that strange light foamy texture is the best I can describe it. Then there was the gentleman with the mop bucket just standing not quite staring at us but staring right past us waiting for us to leave so he could mop our spot I guess? It felt awkward and even more unwelcoming. Very disappointed. Won't be going back. read more

Im not a huge fan of the hole in the wall taco shops but the pictures of the food looked good so we gave it a try. Really glad I did. Inside is clean and tidy, and has some accents that give it some character. Juke box that doesnt work, and incorrect grammar on their logos gave me a chuckle. The staff was very friendly and everyone was joking and laughing and seemingly enjoying working there. The salsa bar was almost at zero on everything and it was only 10 AM. Kind of a bummer but the salsa verde and red salsa was really good. One thing that stood out was all of the menu specials. That is pretty rare in Vegas to have really affordable specials with good portion sizes. Fausto's has that nailed. Aside from the specials, all of their individual items are a good value. I asked for an adobada burrito but they only had al pastor. It was different from other al pastors, as it was almost in a chili like mixture. It was really good. The burrito was huge and tasted awesome. My girl got the carnitas chimichanga meal. It was really big, smothered, and the rice and beans were good. Unfortunately, the carnitas wasnt good. No seasoning or flavor to the meat. Tasted like plain meat fried in lard. She didnt want to eat the rest. I ate the fried outer portion with the pico de gallo and the toppings and that was good. The meat just sucked. Overall, I would say this is a really good hole in the wall place with great service, a great menu, and pretty good food. If I am close to another Fausto's, I will go back. read more

We really enjoyed this place. When you walk in you are greeted by the fiery colors, red and black, which adds a spicy feel to the ambience. You can describe it as a hole in the wall which gives another layer of authenticity. My wife and I ordered two burritos, here carnitas, mine asada wet burrito, a quesadilla for our little girls, side of rice and beans. My daughters are our taste indicators. They loved it! While our experience here was a good one, the pico de Gallo and guacamole had a bit too much onion for our tastes. We will have to try it again to see if we change our mind. I used to come here weekly. Lately I've been bringing lunch to work and eating much healthier. But today I wanted some Fausto's. I don't come here expecting gourmet or even great food. It is fast food, and usually good. But today was so bland. My breakfast burrito lacked flavor. Idk if there wasn't salt, but it just had so little taste! And the salsa didn't have the same punch to it that I remembered. Was it watered down? Idk. Their prices have increased slightly, and that's understandable. They cook it well. The carne asada fries I got had meat cooke well, not burnt like a lot of places. Their fries were cooked just right to taste like potatoes instead of overcooked greasy fries. It becomes like a meat and potatoes meal, literally, rather than greasy junk food. I love it. The carne asada fries portion is huge, well worth 9.75, unlike a lot of places, including roberto's, who will charge you that much for less than half the amount you get here. Excellent all around. Great food here, just like at every other location. The one thing I like about each location is that they each have their own "specials" or combos. I'm assuming someone showed up and wanted something and they decided to add it to the menu which is awesome. On College and Horizon it's the Henderson burrito and here it is the loaded taquitos which is what I got on this occasion. Came here on a fluke and boy was it one on the best one's yet. Hands down the best menudo in town. No hominy (the way i prefer it). It is soooo well seasoned and not at all overly greasy. It doesn't stink or taste dirty, if you eat menudo you know what I mean. It's $5 for a large portion of this stuff. A great deal if you ask me. Fish tacos - okay. not to die for. not the best. I prefer this place over Robertos. It's near a convenient shopping center in Henderson and they don't play loud mariachi music while I'm here. They do have a juke box (that is not even on) and soccer is playing on their big flat screen TV. Enough people come and go, but it never gets too packed. That's my kind of crowd. I usually get the chorizo plate or the carnitas plate. Plates come with rice, beans, and pico de gallo with some type of guacomole sauce on top. The carnitas are partially crispy since the skin is included. Even better with the green sauce from the sauce bar. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant that's a step up from Robertos, then this is the place for you. read more

I stopped in here recently for lunch. They apologetically told me they were out of shrimp when I wanted to order a camarones burrito, so I opted for a chimichanga with shredded chicken instead. It was ready quickly, served hot, and BIG. The flavor and freshness were very good, and overall I enjoyed my first visit -- but I am deducting one star because their plastic knives and forks are extremely thin and flimsy. I can certainly understand that they probably tried to buy the cheapest ones available in an effort to keep their costs down, but it was a struggle for me to not have the knife and fork snap or splinter as I was slicing and eating my chimichanga. I picked up a phoned in order of a taco salad and for tacos. Service was very fast food was ready when I got there. I found that the taco salad with the shredded beef was fatty! I came here to try their California Burrito and after I paid, I went to the restroom to wash my hands. There was already someone in the restroom. As I was waiting, I heard the toilet flush and the door open right after he flushed the toilet. I'm like, damn, this guy didn't even wash his hands. As he walked completely out, I recognized the uniform and that he was one of the cooks. I walked to the cash register to watch what this cook would do. He opened a refrigerator door, grabbed a drink and headed over to the griddle. I was the only guest in the restaurant....guess what he grabbed from one of the drawers, the tortilla for my burrito. The crazy thing was he saw that I was watching him AND didn't even WASH his hands. I would caution anyone who visits this place. They do not wear gloves for ready to eat foods, SNHD standard. They've never disappointed me. They're very comparable to Roberto's but I like them a little bit better. I also think it's cool that they have a Nevada burrito and Henderson burrito some people who are coming there have a sense of pride about their city and state lol. Fausto's greater than Roberto's. Is that a hard thing to do? Probably not, but I will be spending my hard earned burrito money here from now on. Just like any solid fast food Mexican joint the wall menu is chock full of classic greasy dishes with most coming in under $8 and offering huge portions. I went with the Nevada Burrito which is like a Cali burrito, but with sour cream and rice? Look, I'm not fully sure what it was packed with, but it did have tons of tender carne Asada, crispy fries and happiness. This burrito was about 7 inches long and filled me up for a good chunk of the day. Not a bad deal for $6. You can't go wrong filling up at the sauce station. I recommend loading up on the red sauce, it's ridiculous. Chicken Quesadilla. You're next on my Fausto's bucket list. read more

So my husband and I have been meaning to try this place for sometime and finally made it in for an early Monday night dinner. I grew up in San Diego and not since we moved to Las Vegas/Henderson have I had such fresh Mexican food. I had the Shrimp Fajitas combo plate and hubby got Tacos Al Pastor. Everything was so good and I didn't ask but the corn tortillas tasted and looked hand made. We used to like another Mexican food chain that I will not mention here, except to say their vendors or quality of ingredients went seriously downhill. Fausto's was clean, smelled great inside and relatively quick service for fresh made food. With prices going up everywhere as a result of the pandemic this place was totally worth it. They could seriously charge more and still beat out some of the nicer sit down Mexican restaurants in the area. Look at the size of these shrimp! And, they gave me like half an avocado. 2016 Yelp 100 Review Challenge - 21/100 This one of my favorite Mexican foodie spots in Las Vegas. I've been to all locations within the valley and the food has always been consistently good (at all locations) for as long as I've been here, 16 years. And they have THE BEST Carne Asada Fries in Las Vegas. I first tried it in high school or college at the other locations and it's always our go-to since it's located across the street from my friend's house. The portions are HUGE. Fries are cooked to the right texture, not too soggy or greasy and not too crispy. It's loaded with tons of Carne Asada meat, loads of shredded cheese, and if you're taking it to go, they are more than happy to put the guacamole and sour cream on the side. For some dishes especially the Chimichanga, it's freshest in the early morning. The shredded chicken in the Chimichanga is tender. Sometimes it's dry during late afternoon or dinner time. But it may have changed since the last time I got it. Other tid bits: - Portion size is legit. Burritos and Chimichanga are HUGE! - Great Bang for your buck drink sizes. I like their horchata. - My other favorites are Enchiladas and the burritos. - Always Great service! - Hours and location is convenient for me. - Hands down, Fausto's over Roberto's. - And I'll repeat again, The BEST Carne Asada Fries in Las Vegas. I also recommend getting the taquito's and the chicken quesedillia. And of course for your drink the Horchata. It will satisfy your thirst. Every time I'm in Vegas I come back for a amazing 10$ shrimp cocktail with huge shrimp and avocado! Its the best ! They actually give you about 10-12 shrimps and comes with crackers! I guess I just ordered the wrong thing? Craving a quesadilla we headed to Fausto's for lunch. What I got was inedible, disgusting and a mess. Granted we did take out.. granted we do live 3 minutes away. I don't know what excuses I can make. I opened my little styrofoam container and it was just a jumbled mess of grease and slime. The chicken was really low quality, the orange grease was everywhere and the tortillas sucked. The veggies were gross too while we're at it. It was inedible and I threw it away. I travel to mexico all the time (probably been 25 times?), I grew up in TX. I know good mexican food and I know good "americanized" mexican food as well. This wasn't good at all. You can in fact make a quesadilla that isn't greasy. Authentic mexican places do NOT use orange cheese. Doesn't happen. I attached a photo of the nasty monstrosity of a quesadilla they served me. I'm giving them 3 stars instead of 2 stars because the hubby's nachos were decent. When you first enter the restaurant it puts you in the mind of Roberto's, the food is pretty similar to Roberto's as well. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. They have the station to add to your food with the sauces and peppers, our food was fast and fresh and it was delish. I got my go to meal carne asada chimmie and the husband ventured from the norm and tried their taco salad with carne asada. His food was well prepared and the portions were big, he said he liked that the shell was not overly greasy like other places he tried. My chimmi was cooked to perfection with the perfect balance of meat cheese beans ect. We will visit this place again!! read more
