    Pineapple Curry

Cute little Thai spot. Super welcoming & attentive staff, with a comfortable vibe (and amazing plant collection). The pineapple curry was fantastic! The pad thai was good. The boba did taste and seem like it was a day old which was a letdown.

    Pad Thai with Shrimp

I am always searching for great Thai food. We had take out from this bistro during Covid and although that crazy time is a bit of a blur, it had not made a lasting impression. My friends on Yelp recommended Fav, so why not give it another try. On a weeknight at 5pm, we were the first dinner customers and were seated right away. The atmosphere was clean, but a bit dated, with lots of plants. A few overgrown vines out front were even trying to sneak in the door. The staff was understated and polite. We ordered our usual to share. The food was delivered promptly and was fresh and nicely presented. The Pad Thai had an excellent flavor and neither greasy nor too sweet. We added shrimp and it came with some mixed in and 3 tempura fried on the side. Nice touch since you pay a premium. The Massaman came with about one cup of rice, so we ordered more. It wasn't my favorite. I prefer a creamier curry, I didn't love the deep fried tofu, and would have liked more vegetables. The Pineapple Fried Rice was attractively served in a half pineapple, we added tofu. But, the flavor was a bit blah. I enjoyed the fresh pineapple in it, but it lacked a lot of other add ins and didn't really wow us. We tried 4 cookies, made in-house, for dessert. They have very creative flavors, but unfortunately they were a bit dry and didn't leave us coming back for more. Overall, a fair feast, but it may be another few years before I try it again.

I knew it would be great because I have been to the sister restaurants. I had the glass noodle salad and garlic beans. Wow! They did not disappoint! We had an early dinner, 5:00. They had a good crowd already!! The service was good and the ambiance was just right! I think I've found my new favor Thai place!!

I love it when a restaurant appeals to multiple senses- sight, smell, taste, etc. This one definitely hits on them all. The décor is aesthetically pleasing with contrasting colors on the walls and ceilings, beautiful furniture and plants all around. It's not the trendy look that more modern places have, but it's a classic ambience that appeals to all ages. The menu is robust with options for every palate and the dishes that come out are equal parts beautiful and tasty. Nothing about it says careless or disinterested. The Thai Chicken Rice soup was delicious and the little chunks of ginger have a way of making my taste buds wake up and stand at attention. Service is slightly subdued and respectful, without being in your face. My friend and I were having a long, drawn out lunch and I think they recognized that and left us alone after checking in and confirming everything was good.

First time at Fav bistro was a great experience! We ordered the cream cheese wontons, which the server said came with 5. She brought us 6 to split between the two of us! It was so thoughtful. I got the pumpkin curry and it was delicious. The rice came in this cute bowl with pigs on it. The space is nice and welcoming, I will for sure be back!

The service was extremely slow. (I don't believe it's the waitress' faults though, they were running around like crazy. I think they may have been short staffed.) and the food was good, but only good.

Our first time dining in at Fav Bistro won't be our last! We arrived early in the evening for dinner and were seated quickly near some lovely, big windows. Our server brought waters and took our drink orders immediately, then returned shortly to take our order. The menu indicated that chicken wings could take a while, so we ordered those for our appetizer. We didn't wait long, though! They came out quickly and were hot, crispy, with a super tasty sweet and sour-ish sauce. For our main dishes, we tried the seafood curry (with coconut milk) and the Kao Soi. Both were incredible, with unique flavors and generous portions. We're so glad this gem is in our very own Holladay neighborhood! We will be back to try more items from the expansive menu and are looking forward to checking out their breakfast, too.

Fav Bistro is one of our favorite spots! I'd highly recommend any of Annie's restaurants, which each have a different spin on taste. We love the steak curry poutine which puts a super unique spin on the dish! I highly recommend the mixed grain fried rice, which comes with large vegetables and an egg, and has a ton of flavor. It is a sweet and romantic spot and the service is always excellent. Grab a cookie to go, as well, as they have super unique flavors and are mouth watering good.

My eyes might've been bigger than my stomach when we stopped here for dinner after a camping trip but everything on the menu looked so delicious. We ordered boba, an appetizer, and an entree each and could barely even make a dent in the entrees. I couldn't decide what I wanted, the whole menu looked so good! We each ordered a boba - I got a brown sugar milk boba, and my partner ordered the blended strawberry boba. Both were delicious - his was a little bit sweeter than mine. We ordered the avocado spring rolls as an appetizer, but they came out with our entrees. This was fine, because the boba was pretty filling anyways. I got the glass noodle salad with tofu and it was so delicious. There was so much food I couldn't even finish it and it didn't even look like I had made a dent. I took most of it to-go and ate it later that night. My partner ordered the massaman curry with steak and fries and his portions were huge too! We had never seen anything like that curry before - steak, massaman curry, and french fries, what a delicious combination. The service was a little bit on the slower side and we were there earlier in the evening and were only one of two tables. It took some time for someone to bring waters and take our orders, and then our appetizer came out with our entrees. It wasn't a huge deal, but something we noticed. Definitely wouldn't deter us from coming back because the food is delicious!

Has anyone ordered take-out from Fav? How was it?

    It is excellent.

    Is wine available?

If you can get any service, there is discount (i.e. $10) bottles available, but don't look for variety. :)

Four of us went for brunch on a Sunday morning and much to our surprise the place wasn't full and there was no wait for a table. It was nice weather so we requested to sit on the patio. While they have a nice patio area it appeared that no one had prepared and cleaned the patio for customers today. The tables with a bit dirty with debris from the trees and hadn't been wiped off at all but we were sat there anyways. We waited over 20 minutes to place our order. Not sure what the situation was because the place wasn't that busy but many tables seemed to be waiting a while to place orders or receive their food. We finally got a chance to order and each of us ordered something different. I tried the Thai Coconut Pancakes which sounded delicious. Sadly we waited and waited again for our food and then it arrived in stages. Anyone that runs a restaurant kitchen knows that patrons want to each together at the same time. Our dishes came out one by one with significant timing gaps between them. It made our experience a little disappointing. My pancakes never came out. I said something to one server and she said she'd check on it. Several minutes went by and still nothing and our own server didn't even check back in on us. I went inside to see where my pancakes were and they said there was a mistake and they were still working on it. Finally after the other 3 in our party were just about finished eating my Thai Coconut Pancakes arrived. I will say the pancakes were delicious, flavorful and quite unique. I would order this dish again but I must say based on the slow service experience we had today I'm a bit hesitant to return to Jeffi's.

It was pretty busy when we went, but the servers were still kind, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and my brother, who lives in SLC, got his favorite--the croissant breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious! The burrito was packed with flavor and very filling. My only critique is the corn--I personally don't think it's necessary because it didn't really add anything to the overall flavor, but the burrito was still really good. The croissant sandwich looked amazing, and that croissant was perfectly flaky! They also have a nice variety of baked goods available for purchase at the front, which I definitely want to try next time. I would absolutely come back to try more of the menu because everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. There was nothing anyone tried that would bring us back in or come up in converstaion later as a "you know what place I tried this weekend? They had this incredible.... X that you need to go try." The items we found to be... fine, where the French Dip, Greek chicken (a little underdone near the bone), the burger. Pass on the salads. They are lackluster and lacking in flavor. When we went to pay they told us we had to pay all together no exceptions. Which we worked out, but for a bunch of young single girls that is a lot to charge to one card when no one was planning on it. Again it was fine. But there are so many other places near by that I would rather patronize.

We've waited from 10-30ish minutes on a Saturday. My bf really liked their breakfast burrito and thought their eggs Benedict was good but hit or miss. I've ordered their half size baked French toast a couple times and thought it was both good and the perfect size for me. It's quite sweet (and delicious) but can get fairly overwhelming quickly, so it could be a good idea to get a side of something salty/savory to balance it out. This last time I got their chicken and waffles and really loved it! The syrup was so good, and the chicken was crispy, albeit a little salty for me in places. I also absolutely loved that it came with a side of potatoes. The crispy bits are to die for! Would definitely order again! Ambiance is casual diner with fluorescent lighting but the mural and the voodoo artwork add cool vibes!
