This restaurant is Italian-Greek-American. First the good: Food was good, and the portions ample. The restaurant was nice on the inside (don't let the exterior fool you.) The food came quickly, almost too close together. Now the not-so-good: My waitress was not friendly at all. Never a smile, thank you or anything. The menu was limited, as well. Lastly, they have a friendly staff and seem to be keeping upbeat during the pandemic. They offer limited seating and great carry out. There are few places for Greek food on the Illinois side, so we drive from Highland to Fazzi's. That will not happen again. Called ahead the order was messed up Had to wait 15 more minutes for fries - if the Waitress had mention that the gyro came with fries that could have been avoided. So spent much more than we should have on two more orders of Fries. Worst of all the taziki sauce was tasteless watered down yogurt. Will not be coming back. read more

We had the Greek chicken, recommended by someone we thought might be Fazzi, gyro plate, chicken kabobs, and a hamburger in our party of four. Great gyros and the Greek salad here is WAY PAST delicious and bordering on sublime. A busy friendly place to grab lunch or dinner at a reasonable price. The gyro plate I've had 4 times is enormous and comes with a salad that is yummy. The big steak fries are good and my incredibly finicky about food husband likes the food too. They have a full bar and make sure you show up really hungry. Even though I'm always famished when I come here and I STILL end up taking home 75% of my gyro plate and I get 2 more meals out of it! read more

I went to Fazzi's Bar & Grill with a few friends from work when we were in the area. I ended up getting the Saganaki and Pastichio. I really liked the pastichio, it tasted great and very fresh. The saganaki was ok, however I have had better. I tried the hummus one of my companions had and was very happy with how it tasted as well. I was disappointed with their dessert choices. I have been eating there since they opened. The Greek salad is just a lot of ice berg lettuce with feta cheese, greek olive, tomato slice, green pepper slices and house dressing. Very tasty. The fried chicken is very good. Service can be brusque, don't take offense. They are efficient. Food is consistent and portions are large. read more

OMG, talk about awesome food! While I love their Greek food, my picky teen loves the Fazzi's Ultimate Burger. However, we can both agree that the best appetizer is their saganaki (flaming cheese). Not only does it taste great, but also watching the flames shoot up to the ceiling is always fun. The only reason they're not getting five stars is because the service left something to be desired. The waitresses we're complaining about other members of staff and neglected my fiance and I. Apparently bitching about who did or didn't fill the ketchup bottles the night before (where all customer's could hear) was more important than waiting on the patrons. Ordered Chicken Parm first and the chicken was extremely tough with the sauce having way too much onion and not much else flavor. Sent it back and ordered the chicken Alfredo, completely flavorless and the chicken was just overcooked frozen Tyson chicken, you know, the stuff that's already precooked. The bread was great though. My wife got the spaghetti, just as disgusting. My friend got some baked fish, disgusting as well. His pregnant girlfriend got the cod sandwich, she was up all night vomiting and with diarrhea. DELICIOUS! We are currently driving from phoenix to chicago and stopped outside St. Louis. We were in the hotel and wanted something besides traveling junk food so we yelped salads in the area and we found Fazzi's. So glad we did! We drove to the restaurant, ordered at the bar what we wanted for carryout and took it to our hotel. It was ready in like ten minutes. We both ordered the gyro salad, and it was so tasty! We loved the tzatziki and the pita breads. The salad was more than enough food for one. SO delicious. read more

I was meeting new friends and she suggested Fazzi's. I was delighted that they had wine. I ordered a glass of Riesling, it was a great way to start our dining experience. Three of us each ordered a different appetizer so we could sample. I ordered the fried cheese, we had the spinach pie and crab cakes. We had so much food, we all took a doggy bag home. The presentation with the fried cheese was funny, two of the waitress arrived at the table with the platter. One doused something on it the other lit it and meekly said Ommpa..... Really kinda lame. The crab cakes were as big as the plate, deliciously crispy and tasty. The spinach pie was flaky and hard to find the spinach. The cheese tasted like cheese with breading. The wait staff was very attentive and our glasses did not go empty. I had the mousaka, it was a little heavy and I was uncertain as to what was in it. My friend tasted it and they liked it. They had the greek salad and gyro platter. These were very tasty. The sauce was amazing, It was nice having other people to share different platters with, and I would go back again. read more
