Sliced duck breast with scallions. One of my scallop crudo pieces tasted a little fishy but enjoyed the components of the dish overalll. Ricotta gnocchi also very good. My friends and I had dinner here last night. I was genuinely surprised by the Michelin Star service and food! The staff were amazing and knew exactly when to be attentive - we never had to ask or wait for service. The food was cooked to perfection - the flavors were amazing! We had decided to order a number of dishes and share with each other so we got a rather large sampling of what is offered there. It was so good that we had no left overs! The restaurant, itself, was spotless, the dinning area was well arranged so we were not on top of each other, and the ambiance - perfect. I rarely leave reviews, but I had to considering the wonderful experience I and my party had at Feast and Floret. My friends and I were in town for NYE and we were looking for a place for dinner that could accommodate a party of ten. Initially there were no reservations available, but Jason was so helpful and was able to fit us in for an 8pm spot in their private room upstairs. The space was beautiful and intimate....more than we expected it to be. Our server Antoine (sp?) was very knowledgeable about the wine selection and recommended us some excellent wines for our dinner. The food was so delicious. From the appetizers to the entrees, everything was so tasty. I appreciate Jason and the staff at Feast and Floret for going above and beyond to make NYE night such a special one for me and my friends, especially at the last minute. The previous restaurant at this location was famous for unnecessarily high prices and indifferent service. This new incarnation is an improvement on those points. The good: all our dishes - appetizers, mains, and desert, were enjoyable and the chicken portion was surprisingly large. The host & staff were friendly and we did not feel ignored. The bad: The fireplace in the main room dumped smoke into the space so much that our clothes, jackets, etc reeked for days. We wanted a 'splash' of additional sherry for my wife to taste mine (she ordered a different sherry) and cut them off when it looked like more than 1/8 pour, and were charged for the full additional pour. Either tell the customer it's going to be full price or do the full pour anyway. Paying for something you didn't fully receive is not quality hospitality. We'll try it again when it's warmer & there's no need for a fire. read more

Good food but I had a below average experience. Beginning when I walked in, the host seemed wrapped up in other tasks and was the opposite of welcoming. The restaurant wasn't super busy either. My server's demeanor was not much better and he was largely inattentive, not checking in after courses were delivered and by the end of the meal I had to flag a food runner down for my check. He had no recommendations or insights into the menu when I was asking. The prices are reasonable, although I asked for bread and was charged $6 for a single piece! We're taking a 6x2 single piece of bread. While I don't have an issue being charged for bread that seemed a bit over the top (even coming from the city). 3 stars for our appetizers and drinks! if we would have had the opportunity to order dinner we probably would have liked that too. unfortunately out waitress, who i'm waiting to hear the name of so that you can avoid her too, forgot about us! the kitchen was closed and we had no idea. we mentioned to her that we wanted to order dinner soon and she just never showed back up. we had our apps and cocktails and didn't hear from her until we asked for her to come back at the bar 35 minutes later. we are talking about spending $100 on apps and drinks and no entrees with this sort of service. sorry, both my husband and I are in the service industry and have no tolerance for shitty service. we walked in and enjoyed our stay start to bad server. unfortunately one person can make a difference and whomever owns this business should realize that. once I have the name of the woman who served us tonight I will update my review because she should be extremely embarrassed to make such an amazing establishment less than what it is. read more

Our first and not last meal at Feast and Floret. Great atmosphere inside, every staff member was pleasant and professional. Our waiter Antoine was excellent. Helpful, friendly and efficient. Their Manhattan is excellent, 'Manhattan to Hudson'. Started with roasted radishes and roasted mushrooms. Both worth getting, couldn't get enough of the mushrooms. The special tuna tartare with black olives was fantastic. Fennel salad was a great compliment. My wife really enjoyed the soprese squid pasta. Not one complaint or issue. We loved our dinner here! Smaller menu selection and since I'm vegetarian I got a bunch of sides/ apps to eat. Portions weren't the largest but everything tasted incredible!!!!! The flatbread is really more like a naan with a dipping sauce. They even let us dine with our dog which is a huge plus for any dog owner. read more

We were seated outside on the sidewalk (not the " patio" the reservations indicated) and since it was threatening rain I asked if there were umbrellas ... the hostess rudely informed me that they could "maybe" find one. I asked about moving under a covered portion only to be told they cannot seat parties of 2 there.... Only to look over and see walk ins seated there (I know because I heard them ask if a table was available). Wait staff was not much better - only was pleasant when we were handed the bill. My experience at Feast and Floret was pretty awful. We had reservations for 2 at 8:30p and we arrived 15 minutes early. We were told that they had overbooked and were far behind in seating reservations. We were seated 1 hour after our reservation time. The food was also incredibly small portioned despite the price. Safe to say, we both left hungry. After checking other reviews, I found that the portion size and overbooking are constant problems. I don't know where to begin with how much of a lovely place this is- my boyfriend and I went here last night for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and we were just blown away with everything- the hospitality, service, ambiance, food and drink was just truly perfect! The owner Jason and our server Alicia went above and beyond to make us feel welcome- it ended up being such a memorable time and probably one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. On a frigid January night, Feast and Floret was warm and inviting with its cozy decor, fresh flowers (which are set in a wagon and available for sale) and beautiful fireplace. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I had the fontina arancini to start and they were soft with just the right balance of cheese and rice. The rigatoni alla Norma was perfectly al dente and flavorful with fresh tasting tomatoes, eggplant, and basil. A creamy panna cotta with a mildly tart pomegranate topping was the perfect finish. We've been to Hudson a half dozen times or more and had many excellent meals at different restaurant venues, but our dinner at Feast and Floret on this Halloween night was the best by far--the ambience, service, and meal itself were all outstanding, and the marching band playing Mardi Gras-style tunes on the nearby corner capped it all off. For appetizers we shared the flatbread with pesto as well as the apple & chicory salad (so tasty!). As charming as it was indoors, we chose to sit outside under a toasty heat lamp on this late October evening. Our entrees were gnocchi with braised chicken (wife) and chicken Milanese (husband)--both equally delicious, as were our wine choices. We had the most wonderful dinner at Feast and Floret tonight. Everything was so good. We loved the perfectly-dressed escarole salad with a garlicky anchovy lemony dressing, snap peas with poached egg and also the yummy bucatini. Service was great. Cocktails were superb and the the space is lovely. Also dessert (a pillowy, just crunchy enough, melt-in-your-mouth apricot pavlova) was awesome!
