Went there tonight with friends. Had no idea what to get for dinner. As any true Italian there are certain things that I just won't order in a restaurant. The waitress suggested the vodka sauce with penne and cut onion chicken cutlet. Very very hesitant as I make mine from scratch all the time. After going over the menu over and over and getting very frustrated, I told the waitress fine give me the vodka sauce with penne and chicken cutlet. The first piece of penne covered in this creamy vodka sauce was heavenly!! It was absolutely delish licking good!!! My wife and I tried this place for the first time tonight.. it's the place that took over the spot in the old bridge plaza where Benzi was. While the service was friendly our experience overall was not very good. My entree was just average with very little actual veal.. my wife ordered one of their oven pizzas and while we were told it could come out either before or after my entree.. it actually never showed up until we were visited by the manager Steven who was very nice about explaining what likely happend. That said.. I'm not sure we would take another chance on this place when there are so many options out there.. while the atmosphere is nice.. the food we did get to try was ok. And pricy at that. I'm not sure how long they have been operating and perhaps in a year or so if they are still around and I start to hear better things. We may think about giving it another shot. read more

I am not one to leave reviews but the disappointment on several occasions with the food and management. The food took over an hour & 15 minutes from our reservation time. Other tables around us received meals that were sat down afterwards. We cannot be the only people that have had this same experience. Awful management very unprofessional did nothing to handle the situation the correct way we will not be coming back or recommending this place there are many other places for authentic homemade Italian food. First time here; are at the bar w a friend. Long drink wait; longer food wait & our food was forgotten bt. Food was good but after such a wait we requested a check after getting to-hi boxes. I came to dinner last night with my husband and I was served by a young man named Don. He seemed to be rather friendly and passionate, though he was not very attentive. I had to continuously ask him for things and he messed up my entree order. I've been to this restaurant numerous times and never experienced such inadequacy. When there is a wait or 50 mins to a hours, they rather keep tons of people waiting when all the table on the left are all empty which are reserved for large parties!! They should break down the tables to the left as there weren't large parties at that time, accommodate the folks waiting! We saw many people leave due to the long wait! I was at Feast Italian Kitchen last week to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. Loved it!! The food and drinks were delicious and the service was excellent! We had a waitress Jackie!! By the time we left she was our new best friend! So attentive, down to earth and genuinely nice! Service with a smile!! She gave us suggestions of food to order and she was so right with her choices! Have been looking forward to trying this out. My lunch companions had sandwiches that were really good, generous size and cane with a side salad. $9!! I had a tricolor salad with one piece of grilled chicken on top. $25!!! I eat out a lot and nice issue paying for a nice sized salad with interesting ingredients. This was not it. It was a total rip off and waste. It a small plate that they called large and one piece of chicken on top. Such a waste. Very disappointed. My husband and I were traveling through the area and decided to stop in about 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately in the back behind the bar area. We were offered water in small glasses and a bread basket with 4 slices of Italian bread and a few pieces of flatbread along with a saucer of oil and seasonings. We did not order drinks or appetizers. My husband ordered chicken parmigiana and I had eggplant parmigiana. There was no indication on the menu that the entrees came with any sides. A few minutes later our food arrived. No salad was offered or provided. The chicken came with a side of penne but the eggplant didn't. There was no salt and pepper on the table and we had to ask for them as well as grated cheese. Both the cheese and salt were brought out in tiny bowls with an espresso spoon and the waiter offered to grind fresh pepper for us. The portions were good sized and the sauce tasted fresh but too salty for our taste. The pasta sauce was bland. The eggplant was fried and stacked but there was no sauce between the layers. I am so unhappy with this place. My sister is mildly autistic and has issues socializing or doing even other things that is simple for others. Yet she still went out of her way to apply at this place. The restaurant called her in for an interview and she was all excited. She walked all the way there because she isn't able to drive and made an effort to look for a job despite one rejection after another. YET The restaurant manager Robert treated her terribly. He didn't give her the full attention she deserved and at the end lied to her and said they weren't hiring . He continued to degrade her by telling her that they were hiring college girls instead as if she wasn't as liable as them .... He then quickly left without saying bye to her or acknowledging her interest . She felt uneasy yet told him to have a good day then left calling me saying how upset she was of how she was treated and said she felt like he was treating her different because she was "different." I then called them up to see if they were actually hiring and of course they were. So they lied to her instead of at least giving her the respect she deserves. She didn't have to be hired , but at least respect disabled people. It's disgusting that people like this still exist instead of being kind to everyone despite who they are . My family used to come here all the time but we will not be going to this place anymore. Just utterly disgusted with this place and hope they will learn from this incident. Do better. read more

I wish I was here to leave a review about the food - but unfortunately I was not able to have any. My best friend comes here with her boyfriend all the time, and when she and I were making dinner plans she suggested we come here. We waited a good 8-10 minutes before the server Bobby came and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We asked to see a cocktail menu. We looked over the menu and decided to order two glasses of Moscato. The server asked to see our IDs, looked at them, and said "you know, I really wouldn't even know if these were fake or not". We laughed about it although it was already a little awkward. He walked away, and when he came back he told us that he was sorry but he would not be serving us alcohol because he believed our IDs were fake. He said that compared to his ID, ours were "not as thin". We told him that we were in fact of age and they are definitely real IDs, and showed him our credit/debit cards and school IDs. He asked to see our passports, to which we responded that we do not just casually carry our passports around with us as that is careless and unsafe. He continued to refuse us service and said he would get his manager if we wanted that. We agreed that he should get his manager. The manager, Ray I believe, treated us exactly the same. He took my friend's ID, and the whole staff stood in a circle comparing their IDs to hers. At this point we already knew we were leaving, we were extremely uncomfortable. We said "you can call the police, you can scan the IDs, whatever you have to do, our IDs are valid", and the manager just kept laughing and saying he was not going to call the police. My friend said "My boyfriend and I come here all the time, I am really upset about this because I used to love it here" to which the manager responded, "Oh, really?" like he was bored of the whole thing. When we said "Okay, we are going to leave" he said "Aw, I'm sorry guys". This is EXTREMELY poor management and HIGHLY under-trained staff. There was no attempt to diffuse the situation and make it better. How are you running a restaurant AND BAR and you don't know the difference between a real and fake ID?!?! Do you not have a scanner or a black light or a book to refer to or ANY way to make sure you are serving the correct people aside from standing around comparing your customers ID to your staff? Just unbelievable. I work at a restaurant and we are retrained every 6 months on valid identification and how to handle a situation like that correctly. We were outwardly discriminated against because we look young and REFUSED SERVICE, regardless of showing multiple forms of ID. We will never be back here and will be making sure that no one we know ever comes here unless they want to be treated like trash. As I mentioned, we also work in the service industry and tip our fellow servers generously, always. You missed out. read more

Was at Feast tonight with my family, Old Bridge, it was absolutely horrible. First I ordered mozzarella and tomatoes for app, the tomatoes were green and hard. Next we ordered our food and it took 90 minutes to get to us. My husband and son had pasta and I ordered chicken francaise over angel hair pasta. Chicken had lots of gristle and mushy and the pasta tasted like someone poured lemon juice all over my food. And the chicken dish was $21 and they charged me $5 extra for pasta, which totaled $26. We had manager over twice and she wouldn't take anything off the bill. Oh, and they gave you soda in small little 4 oz glass. Stay away. It was just terrible. A big waste of $92.00 read more

Restaurant just opened so totally understand service may not be perfect but this was just awful. Several times I had to stand up from my table to find a waiter. They also forgot my son's main dish so we all had to wait 10 minutes to eat our food until it came out. I ordered a drink and it didn't come out until after I finished my meal. You can tell the waiters are nice but just awful awful service. Food was solid but when you are constantly searching for your waiter to put in an appetizer order it's not worth it. Many times we were just sitting and waiting for the server which felt like hours. I had to ask 4 different people for crushed red pepper for my pizza. I understand this is a new restaurant & they are still trying to work out the kinks but had a TERRIBLE experience here. To start my espresso martini, they used old espresso had to send it back. Ordered the fresh mozzarella and meatball appetizer waited over an hour for the app. When the meatball ( you only get one) came out it was burnt beyond belief you couldn't even cut into it not to mention there was no sauce on it . When we told the waiter he said this is how we serve our meatballs. I've had plenty of meatballs in my life, I have never saw one that looked more like a falafel ball. We also, were still waiting for our mozzarella app which the manger came over and said it would be right out. 15 mins went by, no mozzarella. The server asked, if we received it yet which we didn't he than ran into the back where it was just sitting since the manager forgot to bring it out. The mozzarella was underwhelming no taste. For our entrees, the risotto frutti di Mare, was not risotto it honestly tasted like uncle ben's rice the shrimp were completely over cooked and the whole meal was so salty it was almost uneatable. My friends who got the chicken Parm, said it was way to salty & their side pasta was half spaghetti half penne . Never seen anything like that before. Overall, I really wanted to like this restaurant since I am a fan of the owners other restaurant but this was just plain awful. read more

Who knew when you reserve a table you also had to reserve an outdoor heater anyway that's probably something the hostess could have said in advance when I made the reservations. Our waitress was nice but she kept forgetting all our orders. When they brought our main entrees out we had to ask can they clear out our empty plates I guess they couldn't see the pile of mess. My problem with this place was the restaurant ran my card wrong; It took 3 outgoing calls to get it fixed and was followed up by a threatening incoming call from the owner where he cursed me out. Reservations were made two weeks in advance and we were sat promptly. Glasses for drinks are extremely small, about three sips worth (and this was for an iced tea). I was told that they aren't allowed to use the draft glasses for other drinks (including water). Understood, he was following the rules but management needs to rethink this --- I can't tell you how often he needed to get us refills, what a waste of time. Sangria - comes in a pitcher, they didn't pour the first drink - odd. Appetizers - calamari was "ok" not great and they gave us the wrong sauce. Sauce was so spicy we could barely eat it. They then told us kitchen made a mistake. Meatball was delish, Cesar salad had a little too much dressing but good. Hot mozzarella was good, but should be served with something - not sure what. Dinner - gnocchi in pizza bowl was delish, I feel like they could take it up a notch and bake it with some mozzarella cheese. Chicken parmigiana was ok, nothing special. Chicken was little thick for my liking, not enough cheese. Be warned, kitchen will not offer changes to menu. They serve clam, shrimp and veal oreganotto but will not make chicken. Dessert - cannoli was eh, would never get it again. Overall the place has some tweaks the need to work out, service was bad (not enough help), food was extremely inconsistent across a party of 10. I wouldn't go back by choice, but if someone suggested I wouldn't say no. read more

Went to Feast this past weekend and I would give it 0 stars. The food is not fresh. Mozzarella was refrigerated for long time and tasteless. Steak pizzaiola was in a brown sauce (never ) and the meat tasted like it was definitely microwaved a few times. The manager didn't want to hear any of it. All she did was brag that the owners own a high end restaurant in Marlboro. Will never go back. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area. read more

This was a very unfortunate experience, especially since the food was good and tasty, however the downfalls cannot be overlooked. Our group arrived at 830 and almost immediately placed appetizer and drinks orders. 20 minutes later, no drinks, no salads, no attention. Our waitress was not checking in on us, actually she was MIA most of the night. After complaining to the bartender after sitting for half an hour with nothing to drink we finally got drinks, but because of lack of communication, the waitress brought out a second set of drinks shortly after. The appetizers were tasty, however, another 30-45 minutes after finishing the apps were spent once again waiting on food and drinks and any attention possible. The service was awful. We did not place anymore drink orders because we knew we wouldn't get it. The time gap between finishing appetizers and getting the mains (not all bc some were forgotten) was 45 minutes. Came here for my bday tonight with my wife 3yr old daughter and 9 month old son. We ended up with pizza. Pizza was just okay. It's my fault for not looking at the menu before hand but they had no kids menu. They wanted me to order a full meal for my daughter and their response was ull have leftovers. No thank u!! I really wanted to love this place. My first time was amazing. My second time was also good HOWEVER, I asked for a specific seat because I had a small child with me. When I saw what walked in To sit at the table, it was one of The "partners" friends. A nice Jewish couple middle Aged. That's fine. But here I am Disabled and with A small child. If you're Gonna pick favorites and prioritize your friends over what would have been your regulars, from NY who are used to the real Italian food, you will only draw the Manalapan/Marlboro crowd. That's fine but keep in mind your demographic location and how every single NY'er who is moving here in droves would react. I get you owned Michaels in Brooklyn but no one needs to here what you own and who yoU are. Personally, I don't give two shits. Especially after I saw who was "VIP" lol The food was good.
