Tre Colore' is consistently a really great place to grab a casual slice or a more elevated Italian meal. They have a really big and impressive pizza case - so many slices to choose from. Pizza is sooo good. I just haven't found a pizzeria this quality by me. It reminds me of Mancini's in East Brunswick, which I consider to be the best. The vodka slice is a must get. They also make a vodka pepperoni slice - perfection. There are some fun premade sandwiches in the case, and I loved the chicken parm sandwich on a pillowy garlic knot slider. They also have a full grill / sandwich menu for things like burgers, cheesesteaks, chicken fingers and Italian sammies. There is a big casual dining area in the front pizzeria section as well as a back dining room area for a sit down dinner. Overall it's pretty standard for a strip mall Italian restaurant / pizzeria, but the IMO the pizza here happens to be some of the best.

Bread comes out piping hot each time, service is prompt, quick and friendly. The spicy rigatoni vodka was very spicy but definitely delicious!

Bada Bing Bada Boom. That's how I felt when I went to Tre Colore. My parents wanted to stop here because they had dined in last year and really enjoyed the food. We came in around lunchtime to grab a couple of slices to eat before we met up with family members. You can't beat their selection of pie's. We went with the tomato, pepperoni, and Mama's special sauce pizza. Cashier was very efficient in taking our order and our pizza came out fast. The VIP of the pizzas we order was by FAR mama's special sauce. The cashier advised it was a little sweeter than most sauces and it was. It's not overly sweet, but jsut enough to get you to lick your fingers. We originally got the slice for my 7yo daughter, however, we all were using our leftover crusts to soak up what remained of her sauce...SO GOOD!

I waited for the hype to die down before coming in. This is what I found. Saturday at open, there were about ten groups ahead of me and the wait wasn't bad at all. I felt good about the experience early on. Street parking and was able to find a spot. One pet peeve: list your prices. I don't like guessing what I'm about to pay. It came out to around $19 for a large cheese, which is honestly not bad. The young lady who took my order was personable, and I was able to grab a seat inside -- they have outdoor tables as well. The pie came out and at first glance the crust is crispy with an orange glow to it. Unfortunately, I've had better tasting pizza. Someone nearby made a comment about the dough being like a cracker, and I have to agree -- it read more like cardboard to me. I ended up using the garlic salt, grated cheese and oregano from the table just to recover some flavor. The leftovers were even worse. A few odds and ends: the pizza makers all look pretty serious, maybe even miserable. That may just be the heat back there. They also sell individual frozen pies to take home, and they accept cash or card. It wasn't a total waste of time, but it's not going on my list of all-time greats. One and done for me -- I wouldn't travel an hour or more to come back. Sorry guys, I wanted this to be epic and it just wasn't.

I went in tonight to pick up two pies I had ordered online. They weren't quite ready yet, so I sat down to wait and was immediately greeted by the young man working the register. He then proceeded to do something that feels like a lost art these days: he actually talked to me. A few minutes later, the guy making the pizza joined the conversation too. In the span of a 10-minute wait, we talked about college, sports, music, and pizza. It was such a nice change from the usual "face in the phone" experience you get in so many places now, where customer interaction feels like an afterthought. Then, when one of the pies didn't look up to their standard, they made me a new one and gave me the original pie for free. So basically: go for the pizza, which is excellent, but stay for the great customer service. Solid spot.

We typically enjoy an early Saturday dinner so we can spend a quiet evening together. When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty, so we were looking forward to a relaxing meal. Unfortunately, our experience started on the wrong foot. Our waiter greeted us without a smile and seemed unfriendly throughout the evening. We ordered appetizers, but no appetizer plates were provided. We had to ask for them because it appeared we were expected to use the small bread plates. After finishing our appetizers, the dirty dishes remained on our table for quite a while, even though the restaurant was empty. We ended up drinking our wine while looking at dirty plates waiting to be cleared. The biggest disappointment came later. A couple arrived with two young children, and despite the restaurant having plenty of empty tables, they were seated directly behind my girlfriend. One child was running around on the floor while the other repeatedly banged on the booths and walls. We have children ourselves and truly enjoy being around families, so this is not a complaint about kids. The issue was that there were many other seating options available, including another dining room with other families, yet they were seated immediately next to us in an otherwise quiet dining area. When the noise continued to escalate, I politely spoke with our waiter and explained the situation. His response was simply, "What do you want me to do?" I then asked to speak with the owner, but the owner never came out to address our concerns. By that point, we had eaten only about half of our meals. We asked for the check, and only then did the waiter offer to move us. Unfortunately, by then the evening had already been ruined. We paid our bill, left the rest of our dinners behind, and left the restaurant. This wasn't the children's fault. Children will be children. The disappointment was in how the situation was handled. When customers are spending well over $100 for dinner in a restaurant that is nearly empty, they expect a pleasant dining experience and attentive customer service. A simple decision to seat the family elsewhere or a willingness to address our concern promptly could have completely changed the outcome. It's unfortunate because the restaurant itself is attractive, and the food was good. However, good food alone cannot overcome poor service and a lack of consideration for the overall dining experience. Sadly, we will not be returning.

On to the pizza- have tried many Detroit style pizzas over the years, I would say this was more Detroit "inspired", Aside from the edges, It had a soft bready crust - a little too fluffy compared to the crisp, almost focaccia-like crust we are accustomed to.
