My coworkers and I ordered prior to coming in due to our one-hour time constraint for work. When we arrived, we were told that our ordered had not been put in yet because they didn't want it to be ready before we got there although we said we would be there at 12 noon. We decided to sit and eat inside when we arrived since our food wasn't ready yet anyway. We were charged an 8% gratuity for sitting. The service was extremely slow and rude. Although we ordered ahead of time 2 of the 5 people still waited 45 minutes to get the food that we called in 20 minutes before arriving. They could not eat their meal and had to take it to go. I waited at the bar for 15 minutes to order a drink. I told the bar tender I just wanted to order my drink and then she can make it and bring it to the table when she gets a chance. She told me that was not possible. The manager Sylvia was EXTREMELY rude. When it was expressed that the service was bad and explained what was wrong, she said "Well you don't have to come back here." The prices on the menu online are different from the prices in the restaurant. So much to our surprise after eating our food additional gratuity and the prices were all completely different. Welp. There are multiple reviews complaining about undercooked or raw meat. And mine unfortunately isn't any different. I ordered the chicken club. When I bit into it, I couldn't bite down all the way because the chicken was so rubbery. It was gross and I mostly ate the bacon, lettuce and tomato of half the sandwich, my itty bitty side salad and some fries while I waited for my waitress to check on me. I complained and so she discounted my meal but claimed "half the sandwich was gone". Most of the bread and chicken was still there and a completely untouched half of the sandwich too. So I asked for the manager and showed her the picture of the pink chicken. She said she was sorry and that the waitress didn't tell her it wasn't cooked. So she took off the sandwich, but that only took $1.10 more off of my bill. There was no attempt to offer me something different. Or anything to change this experience into a positive one. Where do I start. I was searching for a great place to east while visiting Stockton. I seen this restaurant pop up while searching Yelp and I thought why not give it a try. It's located in downtown Stockton near the court house and movie theaters. We were able to find street parking right in front of the establishment and noticed they had a small outdoor eating area and music playing outside. When we entered there was a FED sign and a small waiting area off to the left of the checkin area. This place looks more like a bar/lounge as they have a large bar, stage for a singer and a dj (there was no live music playing or a dj when we visited but we did see the areas for this). We came for dinner and noticed the menu seemed short with not many options but the pictures from yep seemed promising so we gave it a shot. We ordered the mushroom cream chicken (with mash potatoes, side salad), spicy chicken sandwich and a kid's chicken Alfredo . There was no kids menu printed but the waiter let us know they do have a kids Menu so be sure to ask for it if you bring the little ones). The food was so delicious. I was expecting more From the chicken sandwich as it was just ok. But the mushroom chicken and the Alfredo pasta was addicting. I will be back probably with out the kids as i said it's more of a lounge type of vibe and I'll make sure Check out the adult beverages. read more

Fed is a hidden gem of a bar in downtown Stockton. The inside is cozy and has instagramable spots. We gave our bartender Andrea creative freedom with our drinks and she nailed it! Tip: the place goes into dark ode after 10pm and people dance. read more

What can I say. A bar that wants to be a restaurant. But lacks the customer service and care from the servers to be one. We were sat before another table, for about 30 minutes. We were told the kitchen was closed. Another couple comes in and is served off the menu from the closed kitchen we just tried to order from. When asking the server Vanessa why we were not able to order from the menu we were told it was too late. (But the table with a different sever served the couple 30min behind us what we'd just inquired about.) The bar food you can judge for yourself. The noise level is the equivalent to rock music, salsa music, rap music, and a crowd having an argument at the same time. You literally have to yell at the person sitting 2 feet from you. I reserved a table on open table for 6:30 a few days prior but after checking the restaurant hours the day of, I noticed that it shows that they are closed at 6. I called to double check and I was assured that we would be able to dine in with no issue. FED doesn't look like much from the outside but once you walk in you're immediately drawn in by the good vibes, great music and rustic decor. My friend and I went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Although I wish they had more options on the lunch menu everything was delicious. They also have a bar menu with light bites that had really good options. We started with cocktails, they have an amazing cocktail menu with some cute options! The drinks came out pretty quickly and they were both "dressed" so cute . We asked our waitress about the DJ booth and small stage area and she shared that the establishment had a dance floor on weekend evenings and that they sometimes host live DJs and comedians. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely visit again. I didn't give 5 stars because it did take us a little longer than we would have liked to be able to place our order and get our food. During my first time there, the Bartender was fantastic and the drinks are very well made, as well as the customer service she provided. We ordered the chicken quesadilla which was edible but not great and the pre-cooked chicken has got to go!!!!! we also ordered the burger and the Ceasar salad with chicken. The burger was awesome and the caesar salad was borderline, homemade dressing would put it over the top, LOL. Overall I would go back because it was very clean and the staff was very inviting and friendly. The New York steak was simply to tough i ordered medium but my steak was still mooing. No flavor at all. Literally everything was good except the steak. The service was good as well. read more

What a wonderful hidden treasure. If you are in downtown Stockton, please try this place. And if you're not in downtown Stockton, make it a point to go. My sister and I were looking for a place for lunch so I checked Yelp and found this. The restaurant is charming, the food delicious and the service was 5 stars!! Great lunch, now I'll go back for dinner one day. I had the burger and sister had the chicken club. Lots of bacon and chicken cooked perfectly. Even the pickles on the burger were so tasty. I went for my birthday and I really enjoyed it. Service was good. Drinks are really good, worth the price. The defendant is good, the party favor is a fun experience, and the Clean AF is nice and refreshing. Asada fries are really good, as well as the shrimp cocktail.. came with like 5/6 jumbo shrimp I believe. The filet mignon and the rib eye were cooked perfectly.. well seasoned and the bordelaise sauce was very tasty. Definitely one of the better restaurants in town for a steak. Very well priced. So glad this place exists in downtown Stockton and has survived the urban blight that plagues this area. We were going to a show at the Bob Hope, and first had decided on a Mexican place. Well, while that place was full, it also stank of stale urine so we hopped out of there and started looking for other options., This showed up on yelp and we walked over. It was hopping when we got there but we did manage to secure a high-top table near the bar. Great selection of beers and the kitchen does a good menu of great gastro-pub food. I chose the spicy chicken sandwich and the hubby chose the burger. Both were excellent and the fried were great as well. The place has a fun yet relaxed vibe and it seems to be a hit with the locals. Finally made a trip to my hometown Stockton and I wanted to eat with my family at a local establishment. I had a party of 4 with 2 kids. I was a bit worried because Yelp doesn't say it's "good for kids". Fortunately, I was able to message the business via Facebook and they responded quickly. I usually order half the menu but selection was limited because it was the Saturday brunch menu. I ended up only ordering the following items. 1. FED burger (medium rare/medium) -Burger was cooked perfectly, Juicy and perfect texture. 2. Spicy chicken Sandwich -Don't want to say this but it's reminds me of a upgraded Popeyes sandwich. Perfect crunch in every bite and just the right kick. I enjoyed aioli sauce on the side, it fits almost with everything else I ordered. 3. Chocolate pancakes (I'm not a fan of this but my kids wanted it) -pancakes are usually not my go to food item in any meal but I had keep my kids happy. As for pancakes they are perfectly sized and fluff. My kids definitely enjoyed them. Overall this restaurant is definitely well priced and the food experience exceeded my expectation. Bloody Mary here is delicious, topped with amazing crispy bacon! We were here for brunch and loved their rib-eye steak with eggs. Asked for and received medium - rare, perfect! Also had their burger and fried chicken sandwich which we enjoyed as well. Wasn't crazy about their country gravy though, they added a spice in there (cinnamon or nutmeg perhaps?) that just threw it off for us. Overall, nice place and friendly staff. Experienced my first time at F.E.D Restaurant and let me tell you I was extremely pleased with everything. Our server Beto was extremely friendly and super personable. The vibes were super welcoming. Now to the food for an appetizer we had the mozzarella sticks and let me tell you they simply melted in my mouth possibly the best mozzarella sticks I've ever tasted in my whole life. For drinks the owner recommended a passion fruit margarita and it was amazing and had the perfect balance of whatever they put it in. For my entree I ordered the ribeye with garlic mash and for me to eat my steak without any toppings or steak sauce speaks for itself. I am excited to go and try more things. read more

I know everyone always says If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. But I literally mean it. It was HORRIBLE FOOD HORRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE DRINKS HORRIBLE STAFF. Let's not forget the music but that's a personal opinion. I ordered the cheese fries appetizer, it was missing the ranch but I let it go but 5 minutes later, the food got cold and their so called cheese sauce got so thick I couldn't stomach it any longer. So I ordered the bruschetta instead. It was basically diced tomatoes(entirely too much) and Parmesan cheese but the bread underneath was a soggy mess. I also ordered 2 drinks the first was a mango margarita nothing special about it. Pretty mediocre I've had better, but then there was the raspberry lemon drop. As I was about to drink it I saw a hair in there and I confirmed with my aunt before I made a big deal and she also saw it. So I let the manager know they took it away and asked if I'd like another. I said yes. The bartender who was our waitress brought me a new one I doubled checked for hair....obviously and when I was satisfied I drank it. It was pretty good, but the bartender was really rude. We waited 45 minutes for the check even though the restaurant was practically empty. Finally we get it and as we're going over the check I see a few things I don't recognize I guess they put the alcohol they use in the receipt instead of the actual drink. So when she told me my lemon drop was still on there I was a little confused. Usually, and I could be wrong usually when something is wrong a hair or in your food or something like that your item is comp. However, they did not comp my drink because they said and I quote, " That charge is for the drink I had to remake not the one with hair." I was FLOORED. Not only was she rude but that's just horrible customer service. So I asked to speak to the manager she comes over I explain to her that it's not a big deal to pay for the drink but your waiter/bartender was incredibly rude for something she did. The manager says, " well we charged you because we had to remake your drink, and when we looked in your cup we didn't see any hair." I honestly just laughed and said okay I'm just making up there being a hair just get the same drink again?! Hmmm we paid the bill and left no tip.
