So I bought my 2007 Mercedes Benz GL450 from this place back in August 2014. I am Writing this review now because I just recently got rid of the vehicle. Anyway, 4 days after buying the vehicle, the air suspension on the front of the vehicle blew out. The front of the car drops and bounces like those old cars in LA that have hydraulics (not cool at all). This place sells lemons, they love you when you first walk in, sell you a vehicle and then act like your annoying them when you come back due to a problem with the car. HEED this review, this place is a scam, the people that work there are nice until you need them to honor the LEMON LAW policy. Then you won't give you the time of day. I got played and I hope you don't. There are many reputable places to buy a car. I won't give company names for fear that people might think this is review to bash one dealer while recommending another. I will leave it like that. My experience ... I drive to the dealer to purchase the car at the listed price. Once at the dealer, I'm told that there is a deposit on the car, and the other buyer is purchasing an extended warranty as well. If i matched the other buyer, they would sell the car to me. Not very ethical if you ask me. It appears they list prices on the internet with no intent to actually follow through with that number. So yes, they are the typical scamming dealership. They told me one day before leaving a deposit until the owner arrived and then the next day he told me that if I wanted to leave but that the deposit was already from them and it is not returned... So I go to the Owner office and After 5 Hours he give me my money Back... They all Sure be in Jail.... read more

I could not be more pleased with my experience at Bronx Auto. As a young female who yes, has had some car purchasing experience, but not fantastic ones, I would say, that this is how car buying should be. I was in a odd situation since I was currently living in NYC but moving to California and needed to drive the vehicle back to California. Benji and Steven both made sure that the vehicle I took off with, was one that that they would feel comfortable putting their own loved one in, which I truly appreciated. After a couple of visits I was on a first name basis with most of the folks at Bronx auto, since they are super friendly and I ended up driving off with a very stable 2009 Cadillac CTS, which made it to California with no issue at all! They care deeply about the quality of their cars, and have a mechanic shop run by Bill, who is absolutely wonderful. Two minor issues I had were regarding a door that wouldn't open with the remote key and the driver seat belt not retracting back into the pillar, and both issues were fixed quickly and efficiently. If I lived in NYC and needed to ever again purchase a used car, I'd certainly go back. These guys truly work with you and even the customers in their store are often repeat folks who trust and love Bronx Auto. Thank you for all the help and I wish you all ever more success! This place is the worse they do not give you the right information they asked you for $500 if you do notbuy they keep your money also add $3000 to the regular price if you finance. First of all, this is not a dealership. The cars they sell are mostly bank owned repossessions. They have a ton of options to choose from and if you do your research you can find an amazing deal on a car. There are no ridiculous dealership fees and you can pay your home state tax of you live in a state that has less sales tax than new York. No, the customer service isn't great, but I would definitely buy a car here again. Do yourself a favor and get a car loan from a bank and buy the car outright. We went in and purchased a car for a KBB fair price. On top of that, we drove the car home in less than an hour and drove it for the day, then made a list of about 5 or 6 issues we wanted fixed. We called Bill the shop manager and after 3 visits, every issue was completely repaired free of charge. read more

BEWARE SLEAZY, SLEAZY, SLEAZY! Photo showed car with no damage. Price clearly listed at $7,495 on multiple sites. Called ahead and confirmed that car had no damage and was priced at $7,495. Drive all the way out there to find significant damage (fender hanging off, crumpled metal, torn plastic, rust, signs of leaky sunroof). Expect us to purchase car without test drive and will only repair damage after car is paid in full. Then find out the price is actually $2,000 higher than advertised. Sleazy manager says, "That's the way the car business works." No, it isn't. Honest, legitimate dealers sell cars, not scams. My advice: STAY AWAY. Far, far away. read more

This place is a shame. I went in to buy a Buick Enclave for $9,500. The car was filthy with water inside the front. I was told by the sales guy that everything would be taken care of with no problems. So I decided to buy the car because I really liked it. I had my own financing with my bank. So when I got to the office they tell me that price is for people with a 740 or higher credit score. I said I already have bank approval with my bank. I was told by the manager that they would work with that. When the finance guy comes back they tell me, I need to put $1,800 down for the car. I reminded them that my bank did not require a down payment for the car. They then tell me I had to pay for an extra fee maintenance because the car had to be fixed. SMH!!!!! Why would I pay them for fixing a car that they are trying to sell. So basically the price you see is B.S. you'll have to add around $2,000 to the internet price. I went to another dealer and brought an Enclave for $10,000 without dealing with a maintenance fee LOL!!!! I could never do business with any place that is this shady. read more

I have saw an SUV online that I was interested in buying the picture you showed no damage looked in good condition and the price looks somewhat reasonable. But when I got there it seems like nobody wanted to help me nobody knew what SUV I was talking about that was posted online and then when I finally did find the SUV that I was talking about all of the tires were flat the rims were rusted through that look like there was water damage on the inside like there was a leak in the sunroof or something and it look like some Rust damage underneath the car it looked nothing like it's picture so I tried to talk to one of the people that work there and they were really steadfast and not negotiating with the price and the sticker value of the vehicle went up if you didn't give them a certain amount of money up front. I even showed them what the pictures look like online and oh yeah they also lied about the mileage on the vehicle as well I would recommend to steer clear of this place read more

BRONXAUTO.COM AKA FEDERAL AUCTIONEERS is a complete SCAM!!!. I visited this dealership recently, I was approached by a worker named B***y, he portrayed himself as a knowledgeable salesperson. After surveying the cars at this "joke" of a dealership, I found a reasonably priced vehicle for $10,995.00 (purchase price of $10,995.00 was confirmed by B***y). B***y directed me to an empty untidy office to complete a credit application, once completed and given to a receptionist, he told me that the credit check would be completed within 5 minutes. Fast forward, B***y informed me that my credit application was approved due to a good credit score. I left a $500.00 down payment and was told to return the following day to finalize the purchase. Upon returning the next day, I gave an additional down payment of $1000.00 ($1500.00 total). As the Manager (VERY UNPROFESSIONAL) started the financing paperwork, he stated that car price was actually $13,995.00 ($3000.00 more than the sticker price). Annoyed and upset, I requested to cancel the transaction and get my down payment back, he (the so called Manager) stated that I COULD NOT be refunded, instead I would have to use the $1500.00 as a store credit...smh. To avoid losing my down payment I proceeded with the bogus transaction. After all was said and done, I walked out with a vehicle valued at $9000.00, I'm paying almost 17k with finance. Caveat emptor!!!!' I purchased a car from Bx Auto auction , and as a former auto sales assistant I would have to say that they were the worst car dealers that I have ever encountered. To begin, I was quoted one price for the car, and at the finance office I noticed that they had changed the price that they quoted me, to include $1000 more than the agreed upon price, That should've been a red flag for me to walk away from the deal, but after being there for several hours, and being in serious need of a car, I continued with the deal. Needless to say that was a bad decision, and just the beginning of this awful experience that I'm still regretting months later. After being lied to and cheated out of $1000, I purchased an extended warranty, that I was told was a power train warranty, just to find out later that this was also a bold faced lie, it was a bumper to bumper warranty, I cancelled it, and lost $1500 as a result. Upon picking up the car, the dealer didn't even have the decency to clean the car, the manager was rude and inconsiderate, and in a condescending tone he told me that the car was cleaned, after i complained about it being dirty. The the car clearly hadn't been touched, still having melted ice cream stains In the arm rest, where apparently the previous owners child had let his ice cream pop melt away inside. To top it off, the car has an intermittent engine problem that has cost me thousands of dollars. Oh yeah! one more thing! I had to spend 300$ at Volvo to have access to the trunk, as this model has no trunk release latch in the car, and i was never given a trunk key. Bx Auto promised to rectify the problem, but after i purchased the car, of course they never did. So do yourself a BIG favor, don't walk, RUN!!! from this wretched dealer.. This is THE WORST DEALERSHIP I'VE EVER BEEN TO. When I first got there, they had me fooled. Such nice luxury cars on the main floor and the other cars with high mileage on the bottom floor. Benji was nice at first, showed me around, turned on cars, let me check out the interior. I saw the Jeep that I wanted but I noticed the price sticker on there was not the same as the price I saw online. I asked about the price difference, he said the online advertised price is only for people with really good credit of 750 and above. If I was approved for financing with a great credit score, then that would be my price (around $7,500). I thought great, I have a good credit history, no current loans or debt. Kept looking around, they ran my credit score and came back and said it was about 620, which isn't bad but I'd have to pay the price on the car itself (about $9,495). I said okay and my dad put a partial down payment after we were pre-approved by the bank and we agreed to $9,495 but as we were signing, they scratched out that price and put $10,200 for reasons I did not comprehend. Fine, that's still not so bad. I came back the following day for a test drive and to complete the down payment. I was told that the bank only approved me for the higher $12,900 price because of my credit and supposedly because my cosigner is self-employed. I said this is absurd, I came here under the impression that the car would be about $7,500, I understand that fees can add up but where did the extra $5,500 come from. I said this is not what we agreed to. When I spoke to the manager he was EXTREMELY rude, telling me that if I don't want to pay the higher price, I can get my refund and go buy a car somewhere else. I was really taken back... why speak to a paying customer in such a way. I was shocked and embarrassed that the manager was YELLING at me with other workers looking over at us. He told me that I would not find a better deal. But there is no way I am going to pay $13,000 on an 8 year old car with 3 past owners, 116,000 miles, and a previous accident. I was really pissed off that they were trying to waste my time and money. I kept looking at other dealerships in NY and NJ. I went to my bank to get a car loan and was informed that my credit score is really 734. THEY LIED TO ME ABOUT MY CREDIT SCORE TO MAKE ME PAY MORE MONEY. As shocking as that may be for you, I was not shocked. THEY ARE PETTY THIEVES SELLING JUNK CARS. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I found the same model and make for $8,000 total at a dealership in Lodi, NJ for a car with one previous owner and 90K miles. If I was petty I would drive my car back there to tell that shitty manager that he made a huge mistake rejecting my kindness and hard-earned money. But although this was a terrible experience, a lot of good came out of it as I ended up with a much better car for far less than what these sick bastards are charging. I can't believe they lied to me about my credit score to dupe me out of money. When I went to get my refund they wouldn't put it back into my father's account because they said he needed to be present (even though it is a joined account that I have a card to as well). My father wanted to sign both of our names on the down payment but they told him not to. So all of this running around because you want to strip money away from us. These are terrible people.
