I was very disappointed when my husband, puppy, and I attempted to sit outside and enjoy some beverages on a Monday evening. With plenty of tables open, we were told that sitting outside was only for customers ordering food and that if we only wanted drinks, we would have to go inside. After waiting 20 minutes, my husband and I (African American couple) asked for a server. When we finally got one, she gave us waters and proceed to serve another party directly beside us who came 5 minutes after us. Of note, we were the only African Americans there and many others were served before us. It's very disheartening that subtle racism and disregard still exits in 2022. I am completely sympathetic of the difficult climate we live in, but extremely disappointed that not one person even acknowledged us. Yo don't look at your phone at the top of the stairs after using the restroom at night. If you're going to look for an Uber for your friends I suggest doing it outside this fine establishment. The security staff wants you to drive under the influence-so much that their rent-a-cop temporarily blinded me with a flashlight he stole from his little sister. He reminded me that no Ubers can be ordered here. Security runs a tight ship, they'll take your cover charge (don't worry ladies-it's free for you) and this guy will have no issue with kicking you out for nothing shortly after. Two stars instead of one because of their good business model. The cover charge fuels a cocaine-induced false bravado, just enough to gather up the courage to have innocent dudes on their phones removed from their bar. I'm sure this guy sleeps happily at night knowing the deadly stairs are protected from the terrors of the world. These boys hadn't kicked anyone out in the last 4 minutes so they had a quota to meet. Horribly treated here tonight. Brutal server Abby left us waiting for ages. When she came with check we got our drink and then came back looking for the check to be paid. We said we would wait until we were finished. Rude manager came and repeatedly (50 times) asked for the check to be paid (said nothing else). Then called police. Police could do nothing as we did nothing wrong. Abby was at fault and then tried to blame us for her terrible attitude and she then said we were not pleasant. We just wanted the service. I've eaten here several times before. Excellent service, didn't have to wait too long, and excellent food! I love how it's so close to the water right in downtown Annapolis. It's always pretty busy here but the waiters are always checking up on you, which I appreciate. The fish tacos are amazing! This normally wouldn't be an issue, except a couple of the staff members are incredibly loud as they alert others they are "coming through." It was over-the-top and prevented us from talking to each other at our table every time these booming individuals walked past, repetitively yelling and whooping. Was in town visiting over LDW and once we arrived downtown, we all were hungry, so we stopped in here for drinks and apps. All the ladies (4 of us) had crushes - I know these are a MD drink, although I'm not sure why, but they are great. I had the berry orange crush and it was great and refreshing. I am absolutely shocked by their decision to not only change their menu but significantly reduce the quality of the food. It went from one of the best Buffalo wings in Maryland served with hot water to clean your fingers to barely mid-grade microwave dinner. My husband and I couldn't believe how terrible the food was, all at an increased price of course. Our meal was eighty dollars and it tasted like public school lunch.
