Pizza in a former bank? Say less Federal Pizza is a mid-century gem serving up wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, and more: all inside a converted 1950s bank building. You can even roll through the old drive-thru lane for pizza and a growler to go... how cool is that? I kept it classic with a pepperoni & sausage pizza and their iced tea: simple, flavorful, and done right. Cozy, stylish, and a fun spot for any occasion.

I love coming here and getting the pepperoni pizza. I do wish they had stuffed crust but other than that this place is amazing. The drive-through feature is also really convenient especially when it's super hot or I have my dog with me. I actually really love walking the neighborhood it's in and like to walk my dog there when he's with me. One of the best menu items is the banana pudding you have to get it! it's a little pricey to come here, but the quality of the food makes up for it.

    Hot honey deliciousness!

Love the vintage vibe here! Great oldies are always playing overhead and the pizza is unique and delicious! I have been here a couple of times now and both times have been consistently yummy! Parking is a bit tricky as they are always busy but if you park between them and Joyride you just have to cross over their drive thru lane to get to their door. Worth the walk!

Place is cluttered, looks like it hasn't been dusted in years. They are not wiping down bar after customers leave.

Date of service: 03/28/6 Time 9:30 pm Food is still very good, but have been there once a night for the last few weeks, and have noticed the attention to detail and cleanliness has gone way down hill from prior years. Dirty, rags on bar forever? Had to aske last 3 visits to wipe the bar top down because they were obviously not wiped down from the last customer. Did they change management ( there is obviously no team leader of manager anymore ). This place used to be so tight in terms of service and cleanliness but something definitely changed in like the last year? It's getting grundgy and not in a good way. Ugh People ( the newer faces ) seem disengaged and easily flustered. Hope they get it together.... Just doesn't feel like a special cool place anymore. They've lost their edge, you can see it at Joyride and Postino Arcadia also. Just less quality caring employees across the board.

Me and my wife had been looking for a good pizza when we visited phoenix. We found it in Federal Pizza. All the food was excellent, we did a pan and it didn't disappoint. One of my favorites. As for the service, amazing. Normally you have your server and no one else cares about you. It not here, we had 3-4 different servers take are of us. Why is no one else doing this!? I forgot what great service was after Covid, this place was absolutely amazing.

I stopped by to get some dinner to go at Federal Pizza and this place is so yummy! Every time I stop by it is pretty busy! The service is always good! The ambiance in here is also nice, a good vibe for sure. I ordered the cheesy garlic bread and this is so delicious! It comes with Arrabiata sauce which tastes like a spicy marinara, it's pretty good! I like to also dip it in their ranch, their ranch is pretty darn good! I also ordered the Margherita Pizza and YUM! This is my favorite pizza from them. I get it every time! I also got a pizza half pepperoni and half sausage and this was delicious as well. I got their buffalo federal wings and these were also good! To end things off I got their Bombolini dessert and it comes with chocolate and caramel sauce but I personally like the chocolate better and ask for double chocolate instead of getting one caramel. Everything from here is so delicious and I love to order from here. If you have not tried them out I highly recommend to check them out! They also have a drive through as well which is convenient!

Always wanted to check this place out, so we went on a Saturday afternoon. The place was busy, but we were sat immediately. Everyone, from the bartenders, to the servers, and the manager were friendly, acknowledged us as we walked in. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and the vibe was laid back. We ordered a pitcher of beer ($6 before 5pm- great deal) cheesy bread and a half/half pizza, Casanova and Big Star. Big Star is like a supreme: lots of veggies mushrooms, peppers, onions, Italian sausage and pepperonis, savory. The Casanova is the fancy choice: prosciutto, ricotta, fig, arugula and balsamic drizzle, on the sweeter side. Both were yummy. Thinner crust, wood fired, so the char is fire! Great experience overall.

Sub par.....not the best. It was ok

Nice place, parking is my only complaint but Central is hard to find parking. Red was our server and she was awesome. We ordered the small tasty salad which has a delicious vinaigrette that I'd come back for over and over. Pizzas were very good too.

Loved this restaurant! We had a party of 9 and were seated as a walk-in. They have specials that you can enjoy (the double down) & (pie pour), seating on the outside, a nice bar, clean bathroom (women) and the ambiance was on point. Since we did have a large group, the chair seating was kind of tight but the benches had no issues. Our waiter was pleasant, food was delivered on time and my wings were saucy, not dried out and fried to perfection. There is ample parking especially with another restaurant near and on a weekend. If you don't want to park, you also have the option of a drive thru. Inside temp was comfortable even with the back door open leading to the patio. This is a great place to have lunch or a family gathering. There were some families with strollers and they had no issues with space on the patio which is covered. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back when in the area.

We were wanting some good pizza to go and finally decided to give Federal Pizza a try. I LOVE they have a drive thru. We called in our order and employees were super friendly. We got a mushroom pizza and it was ready on time. Let me tell you, this was the best pizza we've had in a long time. The crust was perfect, the sauce was great, perfect amount of cheese and mushrooms were quality. Everything was quality flavor and we loved it. Definitely would be a regular if it was closer to home. Cannot wait to grab another pizza and try more of their items!

Loved this place. Much easier to park than I expected. Service was great, sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly. Let me sample a beer or two. Looks pretty neat inside, seat was comfortable enough as any other barstool. The pizza was super good, love a Detroit style pie. Great red sauce and fresh Parmesan shaved on top. Crust was delicious, nice and crisp with great edges from the oven. Quite pleased with my visit here, will return!

That misconception disappeared immediately upon stepping through the doorway. Warm, inviting ambiance, full of character. Attending the birthday celebration for an esteemed young man, our table wasn't ready (we were early) and the hostess offered us seats at the bar while awaiting our party. We each had a wine spritzer... may I say that the very few such concoctions I've had bearing that name didn't do justice to what we were served. I've never had anything like this, a "Sgroppino" (I'm partial to strawberry!) and it was perhaps the best adult beverage I've had in a very long time. Many different nuances in a glass. Stunning subtle, many diverse flavors. Mmm. Our bartender was an artist of the mixed adult beverage, a delightful individual with a warm, genuine smile and an encyclopedic knowledge of how to do his job expertly. Rare that you meet someone like this who isn't all measuring cups and shot glasses: everything he concocted was done by eye, and judging by what he made for us, his expertise was immediately apparent. Ben fatto. È andata benissimo, brava. When we'd all arrived, we were escorted to the "garden shed"... a smaller out-building filled with racks of wine, perhaps an ideal place for small wedding receptions or engagement parties. Well-cooled despite our broiling Phoenix evening. We had the garlic bread; someone ordered IL Tagliere, Calamari (no, thank you), and a basket of bread. On the way out, after mentioning to the bartender how good the oil was, I was gifted a couple of condiment cuplets to-go, which was a thoughtful and nice touch and sort of made up for the server who wasn't particularly warm or informative as I had to ask about the specials and whether or not all the pasta is freshly made, etc. Heck, if you have a great selling point like homemade pasta, talk it up and get us to drooling! There is a variety of seating available, including outside and at the bar--bar has an inside section as well as outside which is a nice design for the lovely weather days. However, it's unfortunate that the outdoor seating is on such a busy traffic corner, so it's not the little retreat it would otherwise be. The lunchtime music was more like happy hour music, not conducive to conversation--maybe for the cellphones-at-the -table crowd it's okay, but being near the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Opera, why not add to the cultural experience of the area by celebrating its Italian origins with some Italian music? Even if just added as interludes during every few pieces, it would enhance the ambiance. We had to raise our voices to carry on our conversation, but it was manageable. However, when I came back the next week with a friend with a hearing impairment, it became more problematic. She tried adjusting her hearing aids, but the thumping rhythm kept taking precedence as we tried to find a quieter corner, but it wasn't possible as it is a small space and speakers were close to each table. I felt so bad that she couldn't enjoy a meal there--we both were so looking forward to having a fresh pasta dish, but just couldn't stay. Upon leaving, I felt I should let management know why so I waited to speak to him, offering constructive criticism about the sound level but he was not the least apologetic nor said he would take it under advisement, but was completely dismissive and harrumphy as though we were annoying problems and not potential regulars with suggestions worthy of consideration. How hard would it be to have a quieter area or make a speaker accessible with volume control? People, whether on the spectrum, with hearing impairments, or just lovers of good conversation deserve respect and when it is not given, will go elsewhere....

I would have forgotten if he wouldn't have asked so it was a nice touch. Drove 30 minutes home. Pizza was still warm. Baked nicely with just the right amount of sauce and cheese ratio. Wings good size but from the drive the steam made then a little soggy. Even though we ordered mild (medium is our norm, but not a Jet's option) these wings had a kick. Good tasting Buffalo sauce. Really good house made ranch. I'd probably give them five stars if I could have tasted everything piping hot. Prices competitive to most pizzerias in the area. I will definitely order from them again, if even just for a quick slice. We really need to try the Detroit style next time.
