    Deep dish pizza

Solid family style restaurant! Very old school inside but cozy! Service is good and attentive! Food is solid! The deep dish pizza is a must! Prices are fair for the portions!

The hostess had a crap attitude. But the waitress was nice. We came in the 1960's and it's just as good today. I like anchovies on mine and this used to be one of the few places back then that you could get it. I read that the owner kept the devil logos because he was too poor to change it. Wanted to get a shirt but the hostess was such utter fodder I left after paying the bill.

We ordered Red Devil using the Door Dash app. We ordered three meals and two were delivered. We called Red Devil who was no help. They didn't put me on hold to check or anything. They said I had to contact Door Dash. I messaged the driver, no response. I filled out the form on the app and was refunded. I am glad I got my money but we have a team member without lunch. The food was just eh. We ordered Chicken Parmigiana and Chicken Alfredo. The chicken was processed chicken product. Both sauces were good but not overpowered the chicken product. I ordered a side of broccoli and it tasted like dirt. I have been a Red Devil fan for years and this whole experience is seriously disappointing.

Red Devil has THE BEST pizza and wings in Arizona. It's a longstanding family favorite. My family has been coming here since before I was even born. The large pizza and 20 hot wing special is our go-to. We always order the pizza crispy and wings xtra xtra crispy with extra sauce and ranch on the side. I definitely recommend eating at the actual restaurant rather than order it through a food delivery service. Not the same quality.

The atmosphere felt very welcoming. We ordered spinach dip, pizza and wings. Everything was soooo delicious. Honey hot wings were my fav!

Please enforce your no smoking policy... right in front of the kitchen! Lady is ruuuude. Seriously good pizza though

One of my favorite places for take out pizza in the valley. Depends who is baking it but sometimes the bottom can be a bit floppy/soggy so ask for well done if you like it a bit crispy. Their dough is amazing. They add a ton of cheese so no need to ask for extra cheese trust me. And if you are a ranch connoisseur like myself you should just go ahead and buy a pint of theirs bc it's S tier. It's up there tied with wing stop.

The vibe is there. The cars are there. Indicating a good place because who would eat at awful? Been around 60+ years. It's all there. So why was the food UNDERWHELMING? When the boneless wings honey BBQ and homemade bread were good, the rest was a downward spiral. 1. I went with chicken cacitorrie with linguine. Mushrooms were limited and the sauce was heavy. The chicken itself was tough and lacking flavor. 2. The spouse went with a Pollo dish that has penne, butter and parm on the top. The menu never shows that it does. We took home leftovers. The kids, couple of my dogs gave it yummy slobber. Big servings though

After a long morning of competing in sports play, we decided to celebrate as a team with a 3-0 Victory... when someone said 'Red Devil', I was like 'IN'. It's been a minute but I used to frequent this place when my job was near downtown every week. Classic Italian pizza, wings, subs & more. When we arrived, we were about 22 deep. Yeap, parents & kids all hungry. They were able to accommodate us quickly but it was packed. Thankfully they have a full bar so getting drinks through our server or directly at the bar was about the same. To keep it simple, we ordered a bunch of the pizza & wings combo specials for $44 to accommodate multiple tables. The table special made sense. We caught them by surprise but gotta admit they rose to the occasion. It did take a while for the food to hit the table but between the drinks, one-offs and more, the servers did a good job (and maintained their sanity.... 10+ athletic teenagers says it all!!! haha. We were in the back so it was warmer than other areas but given our last minute decision, all went well.

When we went the main dining room was closed and they're using the banquet room as the main dining room. It was definitely loud and crowded but we were seated almost immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and nice. My husband was very excited to find veal Parmesan in Phoenix. He said it was good but too tough to cut with the butter knives the restaurant had (we asked for a steak knife but they don't have them). My mom's meatball sub had no sauce or cheese and was bland. My polo siciliano was fine- very vinegar forward from the artichokes. The chicken was weirdly cut- long strips but they were rough and stringy almost. Maybe stick to pizza and wings when you go. People at other tables had it and it looked so good and smelled great!

I've been coming here literally most of my life. I'm 65, and I hear this place has been around 60 years. I remember my dad bringing us here to pick up pizza...you can watch the guys throwing the dough from the outside through this huge window at the pick up area. Per usual, Red Devil combo pizza....nothing like it!! Drove in from LA to watch the Dodgers play...only one place to have dinner....yum!

Decent pizza and pasta, but nothing memorable. Service was okay, atmosphere felt dated. Good for a casual meal, but not a destination.

We ordered a couple of sodas and the same slices we ordered last time, pepperoni and vodka slices. The slices were delivered in no time! They were hot and crispy! I don't know what happened, but the quality just wasn't there. I could not taste the sauce on my pizza. It was non existent. It was like eating pizza bread with cheese and pepperoni. The Vodka pizza had no detectable sauce on it either. It also tasted just like cheese bread. I don't know if its because of different pizza makers or the new standard, but I was disappointed. I was very impressed last visit and even made a statement that the Vodka slice may be my new favorite. I was a little let down this time around!

You can also get a whole pie of your choice. They grate fresh parm on all the slices which I thought was a nice touch. The girl at the register seemed very knowledgeable about all the pizzas and gave us lots of details and recommendations which we appreciated. First we got the green, di Parma, and the Phoenix. The green has pistachios and fresh arugula on it, I thought the overall flavor was too sweet and the pistachios weren't crush enough. The Phoenix was good, very honey forward and overall the flavor didn't stick out to me. The di Parma was a cheese pizza with procuttio and ricotta, overall a little plain to me. I think they all would've tasted better hot, but I understand that's not super realistic for a slice shop. For our second order we got the vodka sauce slice, which was for sure my favorite. First of all it was piping hot, and that elevated the whole experience. I thought the sauce was so flavorful and savory, and the basil made a perfect bite. I would go back for a whole pie of this! I really liked the prices here, we got dinner for less than $25 for 2. I wouldn't mind coming back to try some other slices and get a pie of the vodka!

I won't add to my previous review regarding the food, as it is still just as fantastic. And while the old location had its charm (mainly that it was more intimate and a bit quieter), the new location is overall an immense improvement. First of all, it is much larger, modern, and very tastefully decorated without losing as much of the intimacy as they could keep. For instance, the decor on the walls makes you feel like you are somewhat at home, with photos of the Spinato family and other tasteful finishes. Everything is comfortable without being too casual or formal. It's definitely more open concept now, and bar-lovers will appreciate the full bar, as the old location only had a tiny one. The covered patio area is much nicer, and with an eastern exposure, it should bake in the sun less than the old place's western exposure for most of their operating hours. We were seated at a half-booth, and the restaurant was very crowded because it was their first Friday night at this location. Nonetheless, we arrived early enough to be seated without a wait. I will say that the food took a very long time to arrive--40 minutes or more--but I'm chalking that up to the crowd and growing pains at the new location. Our server recognized us, welcomed us to the new place, and was as friendly as usual, though he didn't have much time for chat-chat with how busy they were. Very much looking forward to more visits to Spinato's at this fabulous new location!

Lil Capo Pizzeria 5.0/5 The Closest Thing to New York…read morePizza I've Found in Arizona Growing up in Upstate New York, I admittedly have high standards when it comes to pizza. After moving to Arizona in 2007, I've spent years searching for a slice that genuinely reminds me of home. While there are plenty of decent pizza spots throughout the Valley, very few capture that authentic New York style. Lil Capo Pizzeria absolutely does! Ironically, I first discovered Lil Capo after an Arizona Cardinals game. Like many people, I wasn't interested in paying stadium prices for mediocre food, so I jumped on Yelp looking for something nearby. Lil Capo had outstanding reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because it's now my benchmark for New York-style pizza in Arizona. The first thing that stood out was the crust. This is exactly what a New York slice should be--thin, crispy on the bottom, slightly chewy inside, sturdy enough to fold, and never overloaded with grease. So many places think "New York style" simply means making a large slice. Lil Capo understands it's really about the balance of crust, sauce, cheese, and texture. Every bite reminded me why I miss pizza back east. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, the cheese is perfectly proportioned, and everything tastes fresh without trying to reinvent what already works. Sometimes simplicity executed well is the hardest thing to accomplish. Pizza: 5/5 Service was equally impressive. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. After selecting our slices, they quickly reheated them to perfection and had them on our table within minutes. It's exactly what you want from a neighborhood pizzeria--fast, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable. Service: 5/5 I also appreciated the atmosphere. Lil Capo isn't trying to be flashy or trendy. Instead, it has that classic neighborhood pizzeria feel where the focus stays exactly where it should--on making outstanding pizza. It's casual, comfortable, family-friendly, and somewhere you could easily become a regular. The pricing is another pleasant surprise. Considering the quality of the pizza and the generous slice sizes, I found everything to be very fairly priced. Overall Finding authentic New York-style pizza in Arizona has been surprisingly difficult over the years, but Lil Capo delivers exactly what I've been searching for. Authentic New York-style crust Excellent sauce-to-cheese ratio Minimal grease Friendly, efficient service Fair prices Comfortable neighborhood atmosphere I've eaten pizza throughout New York my entire life, and Lil Capo remains the closest I've found to the real thing anywhere in Arizona. Whenever I'm on the west side of the Valley--or heading to or from a Cardinals game--I find myself looking for an excuse to stop in. Next time, I'm skipping the slices and ordering an entire pie. If you're a fellow New Yorker living in Arizona and craving a slice that tastes like home, Lil Capo should be at the top of your list.
