these folks were very helpful to me when I had problems with my home printer. They helped me print an attachment in an e-mail and faxed the item using their well kept equipment. The workers here polite I knew how to use their equipment and software, as you would expect at a busy FedEx place. They know what they're doing. I was so aggravated with getting their help-as well as my printouts and fax-was so much better than my aggravation. I will come back here for sure. read more

This conveniently located FedEx office store has many services from Pack & ship, to printing, to renting a computer or using your own in their space. They have a spacious interior and are open on weekends. We were assisted by Érica, the assistant manager on a printing job. They offer same day printing but it is a hefty fee. They try to help you avoid it by steering you to the next day. If you can give them some lead time all the better. To start the process you can email your job to them and they print from there. They did the printing professionally and at the time promised. read more

Every staff member in this place is so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. In this review, I want to highlight AJ, who is a BRILLIANT print worker. I have a cut-and-paste self-publication that has text, photos, and other images. When I run it on my pretty-decent home photocopier, everything is kind of fuzzy, and there are visible photocopy lines. And when I've taken it to other print places, I can tell they see it as a pain in the ass. But AJ GETS IT. She is able to sharpen everything and take away the photocopy lines. She even put on a page number where the one I had placed fell off (without me noticing). She's just the best. If you want great print service, definitely go to this FedEx Office! read more

Came here to return an online purchase from BuyBuy BABY. Unfortunately, my order came in two separate packages, and the return shipping label would only print one. I tried calling BuyBuy BABY customer service, but the wait time for a representative on the phone was 30 minutes, and the wait time for a representative via chat was over 2 hours. :( So I canceled my return and redid it as two separate returns, but when the FedEx employee scanned the QR codes, she said the same tracking number came up on both labels and she could only use one. I finally just told her to use the shipping label on the larger item (a baby crib mattress), and I took the smaller box home. Later when I finally got ahold of a BuyBuy BABY customer service rep, he said I could have used the same tracking number label for both packages. Oh well. I was on a late evening run to make sure my package was delivered on time. I hurried to the closest FedEx and online it said the store closed at 6 pm. I arrived around 5:50 pm and low and behold the store sign said closed. I was extremely upset since the website stated it closes at 6 pm. So I immediately called the store to make sure the employees hadn't made a mistake and turned the open side around to show the store is closed. An older gentleman answered the phone and I immediately asked if their store was closed. He stated it closed at 6 pm and I pointed out that the store sign displayed closed. The employee didn't apologize for their mistake but did offer to still send my package. I entered the store and was helped by a woman. She was not in a good mood. I wasn't rude nor was I making a huge deal about their store sign saying closed. However, this Hispanic female employee seemed as if she was annoyed to have to deal with a late closing time customer. I was able to ship my items and I left the store immediately. If it wasn't for the older black gentleman that let me in, I would not be giving this place that high of a rating. Came here thinking it was UPS... one of those days. But anyways I spent 10 minutes waiting in line judt to find out they are Fex Ex. The lines are so confusing. There are different registers for different kinds of transactions and they did NOT make that apparent. Therefore, I was waiting in one line and when I got to the front I realized I was supposed to be waiting in a different line. So I had to wait in the correct line snd by that time everone that came in the store after me had already left. It was so absurd. They need more signs or someone telling people what line to get in. I went to the fedex office on 1770 South Pacific coast hwy in Redondo beach ca 90277. This is a complaint. Whenever I go in to drop off a package most of the time I have them labeled and ready to go. When it is international occasionally I have the employee do it since I don't have the right envelope onhand. He also had offered to tape boxes for me multiple times. Employee #1 has been very helpful. He was working with his coworker, July 13th at 3pm with employee #2. Description Employee #1: younger man, 6ft 8inch, slim set, male, African American male. Employee #2: newer employee, 5ft 5inch, medium set, African American women. The problem is with employe #2. She had always been rude and lazy. She asked me to move 100lb boxes off my dolly 3.5 ft up to the desk for acceptance, rather than around the entrance to the employee area for acceptance and to leave on the dolly. She also wouldn't accept a box that said "dumbell weights" since it showed what it was inside. So I had to make another trip to another location. Just recently, I brought in some items I wanted to ship, I bought the box there, packaged everything in the box, but I needed a little bit of tape to seal the box tops and bottoms. She refused to do it and claimed her manager said that she can't give out tape. Very rudely in tone. Employee #1 has always taped boxes for me no questions asked and has been very kind. Please get your employe in check as she has caused me to make a total of 3 extra runs just since she is lazy. (Lazy to tape, lazy to walk around and move the dolly,) she tries to find any excuse to not do her job. read more

I've been to my fair share of Kinko's in my time. That being said, I'm well aware of the inconsistency in service, machines, etc. THIS location is one of the most consistent in terms of customer service, quality of product, and availability of anything I need to get the finishing touches done on various projects. It's always clean. That's a big deal for a Kinkos (I hate the new name- FedEx Office, blagh). Someone in charge has obviously made it a practice to care about how this location presents itself to the public. Very cool. I've made b/w copies, color copies, greeting cards, oversize prints, 5x7's, you name it at this branch. I never go anywhere without my trusty USB, seriously. The employees are happy to help, and that always makes a visit to any business all the more pleasant. Doing things on the fly? Check. Making things easy? Check. In and out the door when I need to be? Check. The only negative is the FedEx part. They ruined the dynamic when they bought Kinko's. The coworkers have more than enough to do beyond shipping, packaging, wrapping, and tracking packages. Their self serve copy machines were not reading my usb stick. I went to front desk to get assistance and you can just feel the 3-4 employees eyes looking away and trying to avoid contact because they were "busy" . Just a great example of lack of customer service and not putting the customer first. Kaneba was especially uncooperative and appeared to enjoy knowing I was in a hurry and unable to get my 3 documents printed. Pretty sad and very unprofessional. read more

Do not go to this location. Bad, Bad, Bad !!! I have gone to this FedEx location two times. Both times I have had a ridiculously stupid experience. The first time I took advantage of using their service of having Amazon ship an item to them so that I could receive it faster. Okay, it was there. I go in and the staff could not find the key to open the delivery cage. They look and look, call staff members and managers who have left, search high and low. After waiting for over thirty minutes the guy who kept denying he was the last one to have the key realized it was in his pocket. That was then, now we get to today. I go in with a package to ship. The manager comes to help me and asks what is inside the box, I tell him. He asks if he can open it. I thought, "Sure, maybe he just wants to confirm the contents." He cuts open my tape, looks inside, and then tries to sell me additional packing paper for an item that was already very well protected with bubble wrap. I tell him to forget it. After him opening up my box I had to go home and re-tape the box. I then took it to the FedEx on Hawthorne Blvd., where they are always nice and professional and they shipped it with no problem. That was a really stupid way for a FedEx manager to try and make a few extra bucks! That's the story. My advice, go to the nearby FedEx location on Hawthorne Blvd. not this one. read more

Nothing complicated. I just needed a label printed so that I could ship my package. Guy insisted that he could not do it as the address on my ID wasn't current. Service was so bad that I had to leave and go to a different FedEx location. Something that should have taken 5-10 minutes took 20 plus the time I took to drive to another location and do the process all over again. As another review mentioned, definitely seems like the employees are looking for any excuse to avoid real work. I went to this store to return a router and set top box after canceling Internet and pay TV service. This is, objectively speaking, a simple transaction. But the woman helping me, I think her name was Tanya (black curly hair, short in stature) could use a lesson in customer service and inclusion. She asked me to read her the tiny numbers on the label, which, by the way, had a barcode on it. I am of a certain age and it's difficult to read small print. I told her this, and asked if she could just use the bar code. She made some excuse along the lines of it not always working, and insensitively asked me again to read her the numbers, as if I were staffing the register with her. I felt completely humiliated, and amazed that after explicitly telling her it was difficult for me to read fine print, she couldn't show empathy or common courtesy, let alone demonstrate any awareness that age is a protected category. I was offended by her ageist behavior and told her that she'd have to hold on while I searched for my reading glasses. Any reasonable person in my shoes would have been rightfully annoyed, and I was. However, I never once raised my voice or behaved rudely or aggressively. She then had the nerve to warn me not to be "difficult." Sorry Tonya, but I'm not on the FedEx payroll, and that means I don't have to do your job for you. Count your blessings that I decided not to file a formal complaint about your discriminatory behavior towards a customer. And I do hope you think twice about asking another customer to do your job for you. They may not be as tolerant as I. Good luck. read more

I'm bummed. I've been coming to this location for a year for my new business. I have had nothing but great service from them until today. I get a bunch of different things printed and just today I was told I would be charged $3.50 for them to open more that 3 files. I know $3.50 isn't much but when one of my files wasn't the right size, it was going to be an additional charge to select a different file size. This is insane and terrible service for someone who prints here regularly. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

If I could give 0 stars for this experience, I would. Overall, I think the FedEx Office idea is great. I've used these stores in various locations to print things on the fly, drop off packages or bind presentations and the people are usually very helpful. I guess there always has to be a bad apple in every bunch unfortunately. The other day, I was rushing over to FedEx because I had to get a transparency made for a gathering that I was attending. I had previously achieved this at another FedEx location as well as this particular one on a previous occasion. I wanted to have a negative picture of the slide I was creating where you have a black background with white lettering. It's a simple function on the copy machine. Well, one of the employees who was helping me didn't know how to do it. He at first claimed that they can't do that here. I then informed him that I actually had this done here before trying to counter his obvious lie. He then attempted to do it for a few minutes but apparently, the task was too difficult for him. Then a guy sauntered out to the front from the back accompanied with a female employee (hmm) so the employee assisting me asked the Roberto how to create the slide I was requesting. Roberto looked flustered and gave some lame excuse that if I waited an hour, he could have it done for me. I told him I was in a rush for a meeting at 7:00 pm and it was 40 minutes til 7pm. I even offered to help because I told him I knew how to do it on the copier. Yet he insisted he couldn't help me because he supposedly had a lot of jobs to get done so after insisting I couldn't wait, his only suggestion was for me to go to another FedEx location. At this point, I was pretty much frazzled. I couldn't believe I had to try to rush to another FedEx location! I left in somewhat of a rush but managed to retort over my shoulder to wait for my review on Yelp, Roberto. I ended up having to drive to the FedEx in Torrance at Lomita and Hawthorne where I was able to get it done with the help of one of the employees on one of their copiers. It took 5 seconds to do. I explained how I had tried to get this done at the other location but some guy named Roberto apparently was clueless in how how to do it so he sent me here. He laughed because apparently, Roberto is the manager of the store and so he was surprised he didn't know how to do use the printer. Huh, he was the manager of the store and he didn't know how to print a simple negative transparency? We both had a good chuckle about this. Not all FedExs are as inept as the employees that happened to be here during the time of my visit so if you come, it's hit or miss as to whether you'll get good service or not. On this occasion, I certainly didn't and will probably call ahead if I want to do something as complicated as printing a slide to ensure someone there knows what they're doing. read more

Customer Service FAIL I will not be returning here, nor will I recommend FEDEX to anyone. In fact, I had such a horrendous experience, I am debating shouting from my rooftop "DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, ENERGY AT FEDEX". 5PM*** - I am at Fedex in Redondo Beach. The store has one service representative on the floor. I need around 25 brochures to be printed up on glossy paper. I am given a price for this order. It's expensive. Attendant: "The order will be ready tomorrow at 10 AM." Me: "I need this order done today. Not possible?" Attendant: "Possible." Me: "if I order more, will the rate become cheaper per unit?" Attendant: "How many do you want?" Me: "Depends. If the rate changes, then I want to order more." Attendant is unable to provide me with this information. Since I can't get an answer, I confirm that 25 brochures is ok. Attendant: "Don't worry, I will provide you with a survey you can fill out to receive 20% off your purchase. Mention my name because I have treated you so well." I'm not sure what to think at this point. A long line of people has developed behind me and the attendant is eager to finish dealing with me, I'm feeling as though this is my fault for holding these people up. I take my receipt, and as I turn to leave I notice the attendant apologizing to the next customer for the wait, as if I am the one responsible. 8PM*** - I arrive to pick up my order on schedule. Attendant: "I am so glad you are here, the text you gave me to print is pixelated." I realize that not only is my order not ready at the time it was suppose to be, but that the attendant did not call me in the past 3 hours to notify that there was an issue with the order. UGH!! Attendant tells me to resend the image by email on one of the self service computers. To do this, I must put money on a Fedex card. So it was at this point, I am paying for Fedex's mistake. The computer is slow, the browser is not loading. I am in my email and trying to send my attachments to the FEDEX email but there are popups on the screen. Email sent. I sign off. 5 minutes later... Attendant: "Did you send the email yet?" Me: "Yes, did you not receive it???" Attendant: "Please try again. This time I will refund you the time you are on the computer." SHOULD BE REFUNDING ME THIS ENTIRE ORDER. I resend image again. Attendant: "You want glossy paper right?" Me: "Yes (for second time)" Attendant makes some test examples before printing the order.8:40PM. There are some obvious streaks in the colour, thank I have to point out. Colours are all off. After much back and forth, and I have been here for 45 minutes from when my order was scheduled for pick up. The order is finally ready, 10 minutes from closing time. Me: "Could you cut these brochures to size please?" I thought that this service might be included given all the trouble, not to mention having to wait so long for their mistake. Attendant: "It will cost $1.89" Me "Fine" Attendant: "1.89 a cut" Me "huh?? No thanks" I go to the cutting area at the front to cut my brochures. Attendant "Excuse me sir, we are closing in 3 minutes." LOLZ!!!! read more

So for the second time in a month I left home without printing something I needed to print. Fortunately, there's a FedEx Office on the south side of Redondo Beach as well just past Riviera Village on the way to points south on PCH. There's a lot more unused interior space in this location relative to the Manhattan Beach location. Surprisingly, given that, there's only one copier here with a USB station attached, and it was verrrrrrry slow compared to the other location. However, it worked, and I can't complain since yet again, the requisite page did print cleanly for all of $0.12 including tax. Service here was excellent - unlike the other location which was teeming with personnel, there was just one employee in the store at the time, and he very quickly scanned the document I needed and transferred it to my USB stick. All for $0.97. Note I opted for the scanning/saving to USB route because faxing that one page would have cost $2.49 (plus tax, I assume). Money aside, since it was just 1 page and not a 25-page real estate counteroffer or similar tome, I liked the idea of having a scanned signed original since it meant one less piece of paper of which to keep track. So, for a total of $1.09 and a little bit of time, I was able to print a document for signing, have it scanned, and have it saved to USB for subsequent use/uploading. A few minutes more and the document was uploaded and on its way. However, that few minutes more did not happen here. There is an AT&T/Wayport wifi hotspot here, but it was too flaky just trying to log in to transfer the document to USB - took quite awhile. Didn't even bother trying to upload the document. This is the second time at the second of two different FedEx Office locations that this flakiness has happened. I don't have this problem anywhere else with similar AT&T/Wayport wifi hotspots. I recommend allowing some extra time if you plan to futz with this or in order to be able to relocate to the nearest Starbucks (as I ended up doing) to accomplish the rest of what you need done. You could also buy internet time for your laptop at FedEx Office for whatever that costs these days - I'm guessing $6/hour or similar. One way or the other, a solution is at hand. To summarize: +1 star - not 24/7 here, but late/long enough hours 7 days a week +1 star - USB station +1 star - great service +1 star - cheap enough -1 star - flaky wifi at multiple locations I'm glad these FedEx Office locations are around. They allow me to procrastinate purchasing a new wireless printer/scanner/copier/fax, and to indulge my inner night owl as well. That, and at $0.12/black and white page with free parking, I'm not only procrastinating - I'm also fending off the slings and arrows of functional obsolescence from that new printer/scanner/yadda too! read more

The employees a this particular Kinko's actually KNOW what they're doing, and do it efficiently. One employee in particular, John, is really helpful, and really understands what the customer needs, and how they can get it done fast and for the least amount of dinero. I cannot STAND going to the Kinko's on Hawthorne. The employees there are seriously incompetent, and totally try to rip you off. Intentional or not, they should really require more training for their employees at the Torrance location. If you live in the Torrance area, I would HIGHLY recommend just driving a few blocks more and getting your stuff done for half the price and half the time at Kinko's on PCH. read more

I expected the prices to print documents would be steep but this is ridiculous. $0.25 cents a minute for the computer and $0.69 cents to print in color. The paper quality they print on is poor and the paper curls up coming out of the printer. Would never come here again. read more
