This place is apparently insanely popular, as we arrived on a holiday Monday morning to a huge line! You order at the counter, get a number then find a table to wait for your food. While we did wait in line a good 20 minutes or so, it was worth it. Ordered the sourdough pancakes with a side of bacon; my friend ordered the daily quiche special. I think it took about 15 minutes or so for our food to come out. There is self serve water against the wall to quench your thirst while you wait. My pancakes were divine, but the bacon was off the charts delicious. Some sort of slab type bacon that was absolutely wonderful. I think my 5 stars is for the bacon. The staff was friendly, and trying to keep up with the holiday breakfast/brunch crowd. While we had to clean our own table (thank god for the airline wipes I had in my purse) which was weird, it was fine given the staff clearly were running around trying their best to stay on top of the crowd. read more

All of the things to make these dishes were made in house. Including, syrup for the latte, bread for the sandwich, and ketchup for the home fries. This is a top 3 breakfast spot in BZN for us (on any given day Western Cafe and Storm Castle occupy the other spots). This is definitely the best biscuits (cheddar) and gravy in town, and their breakfast potatoes are also top notch. The specials are always creative and delicious, today the wife got Bronx water (!!) Mini bagels with lox, herb cream cheese, microgreens, and pickled onions. She asked them to hold the capers because only psychopaths like capers. Kid loves both the pancakes and the french toast. Also their bacon is that puffy kind of bacon that they must use some kind of black magic on. Love Feed for breakfast. Had the shakshuka, which is a Maghrebi dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, olive oil, peppers, onion, and garlic, commonly spiced with cumin. Not sure if all that is in Feed's version but it is great here. I usually get the Classic breakfast but was glad I branched out. Interesting that shaksuka may have originally been an Ottoman dish which came to the North African deserts during the empire, spred south to the south of the Sahara. I've been a fan of Feed for awhile, but since it's been a few years since I've been back--a couple things have changed. While I'll say the food is still good, the menu has the same options, and there's ample seating...the prices have increased drastically considering nothing has really changed. It also seems that the secret had gotten out because we waited in quite a line. Once again, the food is good, but that price point takes a star off for me (given the previous prices). Other establishments in Bozeman don't seem to have experienced the same price increase. So, I highly recommend Feed, as long as you're willing to drop city-style prices for your food. read more

My family has been here a handful of times and each time our food was great! It has a very cute farmhouse style entryway with goods and mech to purchase. I don't love ordering at a counter but this place is worth it. They have unique items and put a different twist on regular things. Well it all started with the longing for some beautiful Mountain View's. Growing up in Florida, the storied west has always been just fiction in my mind. This past week me and two of my best friends finally made the trip out to see what Montana had to offer and boy was it beautiful. The snow capped mountains in the back drop of beautiful rolling farmland left me speechless. Little did I know the most beautiful piece of Montana was a brown eyed beauty working the counter at Feed Cafe. After my friends and I enjoyed our delicious breakfast I had to go back into the restaurant to say something to her, so I disguised my infatuation with the purchase of an apple fritter. As I got the counter my knees were shaking and palms were sweating. I was so mesmerized that I forgot to get her name. Now I'm sitting at the bozeman airport with a fucking apple fritter in my hand. In my [limited] experience in Montana, I can confidently say they have an awful lot of pizza. Ergo, Feed Cafe is an oasis of farm-to-table goodness in the proverbial desert. While my husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed eating a steady diet of bar food during our visit, we were delighted to stumble across this place when we journeyed into Bozeman in search of a wifi extender (remote work problems, amirite?). The building is nestled off a main road amid a few other good-looking eateries and includes some picnic tables out front. They also have picnic baskets available inside for said picnic tables. Cute! The food was delicious and apparently local. I had a 3-cheese grilled cheese (add avocado) and my husband had a pastrami sandwich. Each came with pickled vegetables and a spring salad. All wonderful, as were our coffees. We also took some bread, chocolate, and pickled carrots home from their general store, which were equally delicious. There is also a little shop attached to the restaurant with handmade wares, mostly local but all from independent artists. It's a great place to get a unique, handmade souvenir or some cute jewelry. I read some other reviews that said the service was sub-par or the food was underwhelming, but that was absolutely not our experience. Everyone was warm, efficient, and attentive and our food was unusually delicious. The quality of the ingredients was evident and we really enjoyed our meal and experience from start to finish. I also read this place was on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives at some point, and that totally makes sense. It's an interesting dining space with a great menu. Would definitely recommend! read more

This is our first time in Montana and we stopped by this place for lunch. Wow the food was amazing and really fresh. I got the pastrami hash which had a bit of pastrami, caramelized onion, green beans, 2 eggs of your choice and toast. The dish has a lot of depth and pack a punch. My wife got the elk burger which they were able to prepare with gluten free bread at no charge. It came with a nice fresh spring salad and pickled cabbage. Man, I have lived in Bozeman for quite some time but had never made it here. I tried once before with a friend but they were too busy, so we went elsewhere. But today, today I was able to try it out! I was torn on the menu between what to get. I was torn between the Monte Cristo, Ham and Cheese, and French toast as competitors. I ultimately went with B & G and it did not disappoint. It came with a biscuit and chorizo gravy with house fries on the side. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We didn't wait too long for our food but they had a steady stream of customers the entire time. Prices were as expected and comparable to other places in the area. The dining area inside is a bit small, but there are picnic tables and blankets available if you want to make your own picnic. The waitress at the counter recommend The Green Stuff breakfast sandwich which I accompanied with an Oat Milk Latte and a black coffee to go. First of all, I'll judge a breakfast spot hard based on the coffee alone. The espresso and coffee were AMAZING. Very happy to know about these. Seriously, if you're just looking for a cup of joe, look no further. The Green Stuff sandwich featured the most perfectly cooked farm fresh over medium egg, guacamole-pesto kind of sauce, micro greens and THE BEST sourdough. I didn't want it to end. Covid restrictions are tough and we know everyone is doing their best. I only felt bad that I took the only table available which sat 4 and I was a party of 1. It looks like an awesome place for groups but a little tough for solo dining. All in all a wonderful experience.
