I found their sales presentation very good. But I did my research and found that they don't make their own windows as I was told. They offer a lot of features that they said makes their window better but after I compared their "U-value", it was the same as other companies that I looked at. I ended up buying an Alside window, 18 double hung, with the same warranty and saved thousands over what I was quoted from Feldco. They spend a lot on adverising, but that ends up into the price of the window, and made it a lot more than what I spent. read more

The Feldco guy that sold us the windows said that they were guaranteed for life. "If anything is wrong we will fix it for life." What a lie. It has been a few years since we replaced our windows but Feldco quality defects are starting to show. The sealed panes are starting to leak for the second time and the windows do not lock closed properly. We called for service to fix the leaky pane and they said that our warantee ran out just days earlier. Any time they come out to repair something it is an automatic service charge. I regret these windows that I am still paying for. I would not recommend this company or their product or their customer service. Remember you get what you pay for. read more

I have tried to call Feldco twice, both times the people that answer the phone are extremely RUDE!!! All I want to do is ask them if they can give me some budget numbers for the windows. Something like a cost per sf, or a cost per standard size window. Of course they just say they don't have such a thing and that their windows are custom made for your sizes. This is a bunch of BS, I work for a large general contractor and know that budget numbers can easily be given. All I really want to find out is if I think it's worth setting up an appointment with these people. Called for an estimate today and was told both husband and wife had to be present. My husband works many hours and does not want to deal with any construction. I related that to the girl on the phone that I would decide take the estimate and discuss with my husband. I explained I had Fedco do 18 Windows on my old house and had some issues but resolved most of them either myself with money out of pocket like caulking every window they put in, or with them coming back . Thought they improved but NOPE, Really got the run around not wanting to send anyone without husband being there. They just are not consumer friendly and too many other places to choose from. I contact Feldco about two weeks ago to purchase a replace handle for my storm doors because the original handle broke. So I contacted Feldco Windows, Siding & Doors where I initially purchased my storm doors from over five years ago who gave me the run around for two weeks. All I wanted was to purchase a new handle. I tried to find it at two other hardware stores with no luck. Feldco have the worst customer service. So I decide to search my best friend Amazon and I found the same handle, thank goodness it fit perfectly, I0t was the same handle and I was glad I order it. Do not use Feldco. Very deceptive advertising. They had a telemarketer call my home, selling "buy one, get one free" for windows. I had the salesperson, Mr. Hall, come to my home. After measuring all of the windows, he informs me that because I wanted casement windows, the sale did not apply to me. Further, he stated that the telemarketers deliberately leave out what windows qualify for the sale in order to get salespeople in for in home estimates. I found the whole experience terrible and my time was wasted. I filed a grievance with the Better Business Bureau. Feldco responded that their advertising stated that the sale only applied to a specific window. They never addressed the telemarketers misleading customers. read more

Thank goodness we were smart enough not to buy windows from Feldco. We met with a salesman for a quote to replace the windows in our home. We have a friend that recently had 23 windows replaced in their home for $9,000 so we figured we could get the 7 windows in our home replaced for around $3,000 since Feldco was having a 2 for 1 sale. First thing the salesman was silly, everything was a guessing game with him. The first question he asked us was something like "what is the most important thing when dealing with a company?" My husband immediately said "integrity". The sales guy talked about how important integrity is and that Feldco feels the same. Then he gave us the quote, $7000 with $2000 off. We asked how that was 2 for 1 and he told us that the glass isn't included in the 2 for 1. My husband and I looked at each other and both said something like, "how can that not include the glass, you can't have a window without glass" and on the 2 for 1 ad on TV there is glass in the windows. We both started saying how that is false advertising and lacks integrity. The salesman couldn't pack his stuff up fast enough. Feldco doesn't even deserve 1 star! Buyer beware! read more

I had my kitchen windows done about 18 months ago by Feldco, I have had a problem with them since then the windows leak at times. I called them and they said they would send someone out the first time the guy came out and sad I had a structural problem and they had to do a water test. The second time the guy came out and also wanted to do a water test its cold out he did not have a hose and wanted to use mine which is frozen in the snow. Both times they came out it was cold outside and nothing could be done. All i wanted was for them to come out and take the window and frame out and reinstall but according to them thats not how they do business but if they really wanted to check on the problem they would come out when the weather was better but they have your money already so they are always in the state of denial that the installers did a poor job. Mind you they said it was a 3 1/2 hour job and turned out to be 7 hours with people you could not communicate with because they spoke a different language. So now I have to have another company come out and reinstall new windows and frame cause nobody wants to fix someone else's problems. read more

I would never recommend Feldco. The entire process was an expensive nightmare and I wish I had withdrawn earlier. The salesman was nice and showed a great product, promising some modifications to their standard design that were necessary to fit the space I had. After that it was downhill. Two measurement tech mean came out and neither seemed to have spoken to the salesman or know what to do. I had to explain each time. When the installers came it was clear they had not received the correct information either. I had to halt the process and the installers had to go out and buy the correct materials. Despite their tale about being a family-owned and operated business, Feldco subcontracts. The installers spoke little English and after I assured them that the problem was not theirs, were very nice and made sure they made the correct frame and sill. Had I not spotted the errors before they had finished, it would have been too late and I would have been stuck with something that I had not agreed to buy. In the end I got a nice window and a big mess of plaster and exposed wall where the old frame was removed and the new one did not cover. I will have to pay someone else to repair the wall. The salesman tried to make amends by knocking $100 off the price and $100 toward the next window. But there will be no next window with Feldco for me. read more

I decided to buy new windows for my entire home a few years ago from Feldco. The salesman, Lawrence, was very nice. The installers did a decent job with the exception of my sliding patio door, which they came back to fix, but malfunctioned again shortly thereafter, leading me to believe they sell defective products. But, my main problem is with their customer service. After I paid $5000.00, half up front & the other half on the day of installation. The checks had only my name on them, and came from my personal checking account. I was informed by my salesman that my husband still had to sign the contract as both our names are on the mortgage. I signed first, as I am the person on the check, and also, the only one paying for the windows, with my husband signing under my name. All further information from Feldco, including special offers, referral programs, etc., were sent addressed only to my husband, even a thank you card! Then, to add insult to injury, Feldco salespeople called my house, asked to speak to him, and asked him for a referral! He didn't even remember that they did our windows and had to ask me! Then they called months later and asked if we were interested in replacement windows! I told the young man on the phone that I had replaced every window in my house through them and am still angry that I was never acknowledged or recognized as a customer because, apparently, I don't have a penis! Well, at least now they don't call anymore. So, if your a woman, like me, who is the head of your household, skip this misogynistic company and find one of their competitors who will treat you like a real customer. read more

My husband and I have spent about 10k on our windows and we just love them. However, we also purchased a front door and screen door, which costed about 4k, and have had nothing but problems with this. My husband expressed to them later that same day about how unhappy he was with this setup.....First of all the screen door makes such a clanging and banging noise when it closes, that it is embarrassing and it also was frosting up on the inside of the screen door. Then the front door gets so hot from the sun that you can not touch the front of it......it gets really really hot. Now we have a 6 month old that when summer gets here will be scooting around in her walker and we are in fear she will burn her little hands. We have went round and round with Feldco about this.....My husband so upset, feeling as though he was not getting anywhere and being disrespected at each phone call, asked that I just deal with this from now on. Now they want to come out and put new window saches in and tint the door.....my problem with this is....this is not what we paid almost 4k for!! And they are pretty much saying that is this does not work there is nothing else they can do about it.......Really......How upsetting it was to be treated like this after all the money that we spent....and because they have never had this type of complaint about this door they really don't think there is a problem!! This is still ongoing and this better work because we have all ready contacted a lawyer and they are aware of this. There has to be some law that protects people like us........So bottom line Feldco is great for windows but I would never recommend them for anything other than that. read more
