This teensy converted house is just the type of eclectic place I love to hang out in. If you're not big on corporate chain coffee spots, this little gem close to USF is about as perfect as it gets for coffee drinks & light food. The staff was friendly and attentive. I thought the menu items were reasonably priced (I had a dirty chai - chai & espresso) & it was served in a large mason jar & cost a solid $5. I didn't see gluten free options, for those who may need it. There was art for sale and everywhere I looked, I spotted something cool. The vintage furniture mixed with some newer pieces were like eye candy to me, and the way they have displays set up and board games for fun is very cool. There's ample parking in the rear of the building, but be careful- the driveway is only big enough for one car at a time. If that makes you nervous, park in the huge lot across the street. There's also a large patio, if sitting outside is more of your style. I found a new little gem & definitely recommend you check it out! The only thing that kinda messed with me was the Disney music (it's just not very laid back, & I found it distracting)... I decided it wasn't such a big deal that a star needed to be removed. I've been going to Felicitous for the last 4 years that I've been at USF, and I've had a pleasant experience every time! I would suggest coming during the day though, because it starts getting packed after 5pm when everyone is out of class. The atmosphere is so cozy and unique and there really is no where like it. I've come here to chat with friends as well as solo when I need to study and get work done. I usually get the Thai Tea frappacino but tried the teacher's pet since it's so recommended in the reviews. It was delicious and the caffeine buzz lasted all day, even though I only ordered a small! And the bread they use for their paninis is so crispy and perfect, so you can't go wrong with whatever toppings you choose. Always a great time here! read more

We found this busy coffee shop on yelp and came by to try the Teachers pet and orange Mocha. The teachers pet as others have said is very good the orange mocha tasted more mocha and no orange. Enjoyed the vegan doughnuts for my daughter who is allergic to eggs. We also tried the lavender macaroons, not a fan. This place was packed with college students doing home work on a Sunday afternoon so we took ours to go. It is pricey as 2 large coffee two doughnuts and 2 Macaroons 23$. Really nice ambience and decor, I sat down and got some work done and got a pretty good French vanilla iced latte.

Why 5 stars? Because of the creativity. --- --- --- I've tried the Mississippi Mud (my favorite) and the Milo & Oattie, but Felicitous has other crazy-awesome specialty coffee drinks like: Applebutter Express, Honeybear Latte, Floridian Latte (orange), and the All You Need is Latte (rasberry.) I need to try all of these and I need to do so quickly. I call my girlfriend Honeybear sometimes when I'm feeling super lame, so I think it would be pretty cool to drink something called the Honeybear. All of these mind-rockingly rad drinks are served to you from an old house, which adds about 10 notches out of a maximum 10 on the flair scale. Felicitous is the DJ Khaled of coffee. This is more of a 3.5 star review for me. I hate to start a review off that way but there were things I enjoyed and then not so much. Parking is tight, in fact only 7 spots. No biggie, I parked right across the street at a strip mall which had businesses that didn't even look open. Upon walking up to the coffee house they had a sign absolutely no parking at the strip mall. Jumped back on my Jeep and squeezed my way in a parking spot. Atmosphere gets 4 stars. Quaint, little spot but surprisingly comfy. The background music was great and I enjoyed the wall art. Staff gets 5+ stars. They were really fantastic. I was greeted warmly and quickly. I would come here again just because the employees were so pleasant. Food gets 2 stars. As much as I hate to say it. They are currently revamping their menu so there were slim pickings. I'm not even marking stars off for that, no fault in trying to improve. There was a choice of maybe 6 panini. Figured I couldn't go wrong with the Cuban but alas they were out of pickles. No go, can't have a Cuban without pickles so I chose the vagabond. Cuban bread, kale, chicken and pesto. It just wasn't good. The bread was the only thing I enjoyed. The chicken was rubbery, the kale still had the rib attached so very tough. Tea/coffee gets 4 stars. I greatly enjoyed the tea and coffee options. There really were some nice combinations. I tried an organic carrot cake milk tea. The flavor was yummy and I could see myself returning for a drink. I'm gonna give them another try. This is my favorite temple terrace coffee shop! It's super cozy and has yummy drinks :) I come for the spiced chai - it's on the sweeter side for me so I ask for a little less sweet. They have cute furniture and little desks. Their outdoor patio area is nice during the cooler months too, and at night there are string lights so perfect for an evening cup of tea or drink. It is a bit small though and tends to be pretty crowded inside the little converted house shop. I've never had a problem getting a seat since people come and go, but it can be tight! read more

Was craving a new coffee spot so tried this place. The atmosphere is amazing very homey and quaint but at the same time it is very small and packed full of students working. We tried the Floridian and the Teachers Pet. As a huge fan of fruit/chocolate/coffee combinations I was disappointed in the Floridian which claims to be an orange mocha, there is not a hint of orange in this drink, don't get me wrong it is a good mocha just did not live up to expectations. The teachers pet is raved about on yelp and in my opinion does live up to its reputation very good and will definitely get again. Was very happy that there were vegan options because I have a sister who has an egg allergy and she liked the salted chocolate donuts. I got the macaroons the cookies and cream one was very good however the lavender honey one was not. I would give this place simply based on there food three stars but because of the awesome atmosphere I had to give it four. read more

I am not sure how many five stars I have given out in my reviews, but I know that there have not been many. And I am not sure if this place deserves it other than IT IS REALLY COOL and you need to go here. It is located behind cookie cutter strip malls in an older house that is segmented to offer privacy and relaxation. I am not a coffee drinker, but their tea selection was amazing and they have a board that describes each tea and offers samples for you to look at and you are encouraged to smell then. I tried a Mango Latte that was delightful. I also tried a PNJ, which is peanut butter, Nutella and bananas/strawberries which was sinfully good but really messy! read more

First time at Felicitous and I really like it! The inside is just what you would imagine from a local college coffee shop - there is plenty of artworks, couches, tables, free Wi-Fi, and t-shirts all inside a place that looks like a cute house. They hold lots of local events as well. The owner and I have actually chatted before online and when we traded cards in person she offered us complimentary beverages for our first visit =]. I first heard about Felicitous when Tasting Tampa held USF's 1st Food Truck Pod here a few weeks ago. I decided to order the java chip frappe (normally ~$4) and my friend with the taro frappe (same price) - both were great and I was happy that they didn't taste syrupy like Starbucks does. My friend recommended the Thai Tea frap and I hope to try it in the future. The inside is more student friendly with music playing and has a younger crowd, while my other local favorite Cafe Kili tends to appeal to older senior citizens (though I love them too!). Both can be good for studying depending on your needs. I saw plenty of students reviewing class content at Felicitous. The owner told me they will soon be serving paninis - so I will be sure to come back and write an update once I get to try them out! read more

It is difficult, painful even, for me to be in a cafe and not order coffee. Somehow, I've angered the gods and my punishment is no coffee for a few weeks. A true tragedy. But here, my frown turned upside down when my disappointingly coffee-less life was changed in an instant by a large jar of iced lavender tea with almond milk. Things will never be the same. Did I pay for it? Monetarily, yes. It was almost $6. But physically? No. And for that it was worth every penny. It was damn delicious and I was left satisfyingly caffeinated. The space itself is kuh-yoot! The small, lovable coffee house - and by that I mean an actual house with deck turned cafe - is a breath of fresh air in the Starbucks wasteland of Temple Terrace. Decor is eclectic and seating is surprisingly plentiful for such a small space. I wouldn't say ample and I'm certain the place packs up, especially when it rains and the handful of outdoor tables are a no-go. But what a wonderful place to study or hang out. And if you're looking for info on local happenings and such then come here. The bulletin board by the front door will give the answers you seek. Felicitous, as the name suggests, has something for everyone, including the skeptic who thinks there's no such tea as good as coffee. What a wonderful way to be wrong! read more

Cute little cafe with a hipster feel located in a quaint home, reminding me of Dandelion Cafe in Orlando. A lot of students come here to study, but due to lack of space, it can get pretty crowded. Don't be surprised if you're sharing tables or the couch. There's a small parking lot of maybe 6 spots in the front, but you can also park in the big parking lot across the street. I wasn't in the mood for coffee, so I tried their lavender tea. I usually don't like lavender anything, but it was pretty decent. They have pastries, sandwiches, and salads too. Stopped here for a quick coffee break in the middle of the work day. The ambiance here very young and hip. The building itself is off the main road and looks like a tiny purple cottage. The decorations inside were vibrant and artsy. They had a fee local artworks in there, which gave it a good old Tampa feel to it. The servers here are great. Very helpful and funny. I had a few questions since it was my first time coming and they guided my through their menu with ease. I ordered the chocolate chai latte and oh Jesus, it was great. The chocolate flavor is pretty light, but goes great with the chai. If you're addicted to chai lattes, you can break out of basic cycle and order a chocolate chai latte! They have other options too, but still recommend the chocolate chai. They even have coffee ice cubes, which is interesting. This place is so cute! I had visited a few times for a mid afternoon coffee, but on my most recent visit I also had lunch. This was right before Valentine's day so they had a lot of specialty drinks posted on a little board at the register. I ordered a strawberry cheesecake frappe that was to die for! It was the perfect mix of sweet and creamy. It also tasted like real cheesecake! For lunch I had one of their paninis that had cheese and sundried tomatoes. It was pretty basic, but good, and it came with veggie straws. I would give this place 5 stars, but the service was really slow. There was only one guy working, but he kept giving orders out the window. My friend and I assumed there were a lot of people eating outside, but when we left only 1 person was there. I am confused about how many people he was serving outside and why it took 30 minutes to get our food and drinks. This is a very "laid back" atmosphere though, so I think it might be part of the experience. read more

Cute, almost too cute, coffee shop near USF. It's as if Etsy was a Starbucks. Repurposed chairs and tables, homemade sideshow-themed art, and mason jar frappes are the lay of the land. Barista was very friendly and film noir soundtrack playing in the background added to the ambience. Decided to try this place on a whim this morning when searching for a place to meet a friend for a quick cup of coffee before class. Man, am I so glad I did! If you're not looking for Felicitous, you'll definitely miss it, as the little bungalow is tucked off of Fowler on a side street and back in the trees. There are a couple of spaces to park in front, but there is a small lot in the back, just use caution when coming or going. By the looks of it, there is also a minimal amount of street parking, depending on when you stop in. This morning, I ordered the large Dirty Chai and a turkey/gouda/jam sandwich. My drink came out just after I sat down in a big mason jar. They said it was big, but I wasn't expecting that! My sandwich wasn't too far behind - it was good, but not mind-blowing. I wouldn't order it again, but don't let that stop you. I just think I wanted something more savory than what it was. Speaking of food, they do have vegan offerings, but I can't speak to anything gluten-free. Plenty of eclectic seating inside - a couch, a couple of arm chairs, scattered cafe tables, a medium-sized banquet type table that could seat a group, and a little nook in what looks like was a china hutch in a previous life. There's art EVERYWHERE, and I don't think any two surfaces were the same colors. The floors are old hardwood, faded gray and obviously having seen better days (but it just adds to the charm for the whole place.) Outside, there's plenty of patio seating under string lights on the side of the house. I bet it's so cute at sunset! I do think it's reasonable to not expect to find a seat here at peak times (this looks like a favorite of USF students, judging by how many student IDs I saw dangling from keychains), or have complete silence while you may be studying, but Felicitous makes me think of the type of place that you dream of studying in, or maybe working on a book. It has tons of charm, and feels like a hidden gem. As I waited for my friend, I wished it would have started raining again, just to experience the weather through the lacy curtains, and to feel like I had no other place I'd rather be. This is the cutest coffee shop I have found in Tampa! It's near USF, hidden behind some shopping centers, but once you find it you will fall in love with it. Parking seems scarce at first but they have a full lot in the back of the building, just follow the the signs that lead you down the one way entrance. The building is a little house with cosy seating and small tables inside, and they have an outdoor seating area as well. There is a book swap and board games, the decor is vibrant and artsy and I love the community vibe. I met a friend to catch up before dinner, so I didn't order anything this visit, but I look forward to going back and trying the food and coffee! read more

I used to be in love with Felicitous. I found out about it because of its proximity to USF (and its coupon in the student coupon book). Then, I discovered Buddy Brew and Zeal. Compared to the incredibly high-quality coffee in Tampa, Felicitous is just aight. The coffee has never been amazing to me, and I can never get a consistent tasting drink (except for the Mississippi Mud). I will say though - the baristas are super friendly (even if some are a little hard to hear when you order), and they've never been less than kind. They're even pretty good at suggesting drinks. If you're not looking to drive the 25 minutes to Buddy Brew or Zeal, Felicitous is a pretty good option. But, if you're looking for a really good cup of coffee, go elsewhere. read more

I enjoyed the eclectic design and set up of this coffee shop. There are vegan options which is a pro. Seating inside is very sparse so group meetings is not advised. There is seating outside if you don't mind the heat and humidity during the day. I came in on a Saturday around 1pm and many menu options were sold out. Pretty satisfied. It reminded me of a better and brighter Sacred Grounds. We went here twice in one week because it's such a great study spot. Low key, nice drinks, and not a lot of people. First time, we ordered the "All You Need is Latte" and an iced "Spiced Chai Latte" with a coffee cake and a waffle. The All You Need was okay, perfect temp (about 70 degrees aka "kids temp"), but the flavor came in stages. Not sure if they use soy milk or not. The iced Spiced Chai was perfect. The liege waffle was spot on. This combo is defiantly recommended. However, second time around they were out of waffles, and moved into more cupcakes, and when we ordered two iced Spiced Chai Lattes, we got hots (extra hot). But the daily sandwiches were pretty good. PNJ was perfect. It's peanut-butter, nutella, and jelly with bananas and berries. The berries are cold, and that is what makes so delicious. I got the Morning Turk. A nicely sized portion. Overall, cozy and quiet. Great study spot with reliable Wi-Fi. The parking lot is a bit tight and the ordering system could be improved. Love Felicitous! I've come here quite a few times since I've been back home because of the quarantine and I love this local coffee shop! The shop is small but they've managed to put a decent number of tables and they also have outside seating. The staff is great too - my friends and I always take a few min to look over the menu and they're very patient! They offer suggestions as well and it's appreciated. The prices are pretty on brand with most coffee shops so can't complain there. The quality of the food/drinks are good as well; my friend is obsessed with the "Not A Cuban" sandwich - definitely try it out! I've ordered a cappuccino and an iced latte and was satisfied. My favorite part about this coffee shop is the art inside. On their walls are pieces from a local artist and it leaves me in awe of how beautiful they are. Every college town needs a coffee shop and this is the only one I know of in the USF Tampa campus vicinity. The coffee is absolutely great. As for the breakfast options... meh. If you're looking for a good egg and cheese sandwich, don't bother here. They have other coffee house traditional pastries that are much better. Everyone working there was masked up and there's quite a few tables outside to sit comfortably while listening to some local jazz. This place is quite tucked in behind lots of trees. We drove right past, into the shopping center next to it but found it eventually. Small, cute, cozy, Kpop was playing in the background. We got a traditional macchiato (came in a small coffee cup - which is how its supposed to be), a caramel blend, a mushroom+turkey toast with salt, pepper and garlic, and a turkey, jam, cheese toast. This place is a great alternative coffee place. I came home from Belgium craving Liege waffles. This is the only place in the greater Tampa bay that seems to sell them. So, naturally, I had to come try them out. The Liege waffles, alas, are made elsewhere. With ice cream and whipped cream, they aren't bad, but alone, they are on the dry side. However, the coffee was awesome, and the vibe reminded me of the cool coffee places I used to frequent in Berkeley, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. So, of course, I loved it. This coffee shop offers what I would argue is the only bit of small business and culture in the immediate North Tampa area near the USF campus ... & It is ironically located just behind the very busy Starbucks coffee shop to the side of the road. They have an adorable exterior and patio area with a welcoming homey interior. Id argue its a local "hipster" hangout of mainly young college students , the artistic and politically inclined bunch with the occasional graduate students popping-in for a quiet place to study. The menu fittingly offers several vegan and vegetarian drinks, meals and treats! With plenty of non-vegan items as well. I really loved the window service for those sitting outdoors. Not wanting to break the bank, I had to force myself to only choose one. That choice? The Teacher's Pet. The Teacher's Pet is a latte with dark chocolate, peanut butter and chocolate drizzle. It can be served hot or iced. For a small fee, they can make it with vegan milk. I loved the drink. It was not too sweet and had just the right amount of coffee taste. The peanut butter and chocolate provided a subtle Reese's flair. My only complaints about this place is the price. The latte, vegan milk and tip ran me about six bucks. I can get a similar sized vegan specialty drink at some of the tea places in the area for at least a dollar cheaper. That being said, I will be back. Such a cozy little place to grab a coffee. I stopped on a rainy Sunday evening for some java and journaling time. I was met with the dreaded "one way parking" sign that people were complaining about. In the front, there were a few spots, but every spot had a sign that said for carry out only. Each person that parked there, came in and sat down to drink their coffee. I suppose I'm the sucker for trying to follow the rules. I ordered the Whole Lotta Love latte and it was great. I've never found a raspberry latte before and I'm quite happy that I did. The quantity/variety is not the problem, it's just the food is not good. The outdoor work space is wonderful and I love how they support local artists.
