It tasted like rubber and was inedible. It looks like they used the meat from the thigh bone instead of the chicken breast. Not acceptable with an expensive dish like this. They should've used a chicken breast and pounded it thin. Marsala sauce had very little flavor. No one in my house would eat it. I was actually more impressed with Fellini's than I thought I would be. Working on the Naval base I often have co-workers with goodbye or retirement luncheons and this place has been chosen more than once by co-workers as a location. Up to this point I have not dined here as I was under the impression there wasn't a parking lot and I don't like street parking in the Ghent/Colley Ave area. Mostly bc I can't parallel park and it stresses me the f*ck out. I digress.... so last Friday a co-worker was having a luncheon here and since I really liked him I decided to drag myself here. We arrived for a large party of about 20-25 people at 11:30. There was plenty of parking and they had three long tables set up for us waiting with silverware and menus. The inside is much larger than I expected with a long open kitchen where, from certain vantage points, you can see them cooking and preparing your food (I could). I arrived before most of the others and was promptly greeted by a waitress for my drink order. I had already browsed the menu and read some Yelp reviews so I knew I didn't want to eat any pasta bc I didn't want to have the shits later based on other reviews. I decided to go with the house salad with their house dressing (an oily vinaigrette) and a half sandwich. I chose their house chicken salad on toasted wheat with tomato and lettuce. Our service was good - our waitress was nice - food came out in a reasonable timeframe for the size of our party bc the restaurant was pretty packed by the time everyone arrived. My house salad was very good with fresh cucumbers, tomato and onion. I did enjoy the dressing although it was a little too oily for my preference. Still - good flavor. My half chicken salad sandwich was pretty good too. It was a HUGE portion of chicken salad - probably what would normally be on an entire sandwich. Very generous. I liked the flavor of the chicken salad and thought it was pretty damn good overall. I have to report - I did get the shits so apparently it's not just the pasta. So the food was good - plenty of parking - nice ambiance inside, like the open kitchen, lots and lots of seating (it's larger and more spacious than it looks), and their bathrooms are REALLY nice. But I don't like shitting 4x in an hour after lunch at work so I'm gonna pass next time. Thanks. read more

We got an excellent pizza here today. The crust was perfectly thin, crispy, with just the right amount of char. The sauce was excellent, as were the toppings. The chunks of spicy Italian sausage were particularly a highlight. Felini's offers a wide variety of gourmet, both traditional and non-traditional pizza toppings. Think California Pizza Kitchen's pizza style, but actually executed wonderfully. They have a most reasonable wine list as well. We ordered a good CA Merlot and and an Italian Montepulciano, both retail in the $12 range, and were only $23 and $21 respectively here. Very acceptable markup. This place has been here for more than 25 years, it was hipster chic before that was a thing. I remember it opening here when I was an ODU student in the old Bens Chili Parlor space. They had a couple of Ghent locations prior to that. I don't know why I hadn't been here in 20 years, but we will be back again soon. Half price wine bottles on Monday happy hour is certainly a draw. Also saw they have live jazz once a month, which we will have to check out. I imagine it's a great atmosphere in this Park Place space. My only criticism is the lack of appetizer choices. The only option that wasn't bread-based was the calimari, and they were out of that. I certainly don't want to order additional bread when getting pizza, but would have really liked an appetizer. Their menu also features a variety of pastas and sandwiches. My Dad ordered the lasagna, and it was excellent. This visit to Fellini's was a good reminder that although Norfolk has a great restaurant scene these days; to not forget about the great older spots we have in the city! read more

I love the focaccia especially with olive oil! A nice thin crips bread sometimes that's all I need -Not! The pizza is also great with the freshest ingredients used. The pizza is made in a wood oven stove it's even better. The place has a dark wood ambiance. Great for large groups as my job sometimes have our events here. Not Family Friendly - adult nudity in bathrooms. Fellini's here in Norfolk has nearly every element of a family-owned historical Italian restaurant and would be a semi-frequent place to eat with my kids except for the fact that the walls of both restrooms are lined with nude photos and nude art. There isn't even a family bathroom to provide an option for families not wanting their young children exposed to unsolicited nudity. In 1963, this was acceptable... along with a thick haze of cigarette/cigar smoke, but in 2023 we have enough knowledge to know that early exposure to sexually explicit material warps a child's mental health. No staff member warned me at all after coming to my table, seeing that I had a 6-year-old child. My 8-year-old son should not have been exposed to multiple nude "t*ts" and a*s when he went pee. My 12-year-old daughter did not need to be exposed to partial penises in the ladies room. Wake up Owners! This outdated machismo and Euro-sexuality should be for bars, not an establishment for families. I will NOT be back. read more

I've had lunch a bunch of times. Centrally located and lit just low enough that it's cozy. Right off Colley Ave sort of near ODU. Gets a lot of base traffic. I really like the pizza here. They're cooking with real heat and you can tell when you pizza comes out. Topping are fresh an plentiful. small pizza and Tea 17 bucks. Great for groups and large parties. It has been a while... and it will probably be a while... I had dinner here with a friend recently and can't say that I was to impressed. We sat at the bar, which was probably our own mistake. The dude who was the bartender that evening had a rotten attitude. I don't know if he had a bad day or is just a miserable soul in general but the guy was an ass. We started off with some garlic cheese bread and my buddy ordered a salad. For my entree I ordered the pizza special that evening which was a Mexican pizza. My friend ordered Creole Ramano. My app was fine and I didn't hear any complaints about the salad, our entree's weren't so hot. My Mexican pizza was so thin and over cooked that it essentially crumbled as i was trying to eat it. The Creole Ramano came out frozen in the middle and was sent back. Instead of putting it in the oven and letting it sit for a while they microwaved it and instead of being frozen in the middle it was just cold and mushy. It went back a 2nd time and was ultimately discarded. All in all, a mundane experience. I expected better from Fellini's and hope it's improved the next time I'm there. read more

I've been visiting Felinis as a regular for over 20 years. The food is consistently good and their Greek salads are absolutely amazing. The decor is dinky lit and perfect for a date night. Get there early so your lucky enough to grab our of their booths. Their bacon wrapped scallops are a great starter and you can't go wrong with any of their meal options. Check out their happy hour options but be aware you cannot get happy hour unless you sit at the bar.... bummer! read more

Torn over this review because the Food and service were amazing! When I went into the bathroom there were naked pictures of women on every wall. Subject matter experts like Dr. Dan Allender say that this is a form of sexual abuse; namely, unsolicited exposure to nudity. If I had my children with me I would not be able to undo what they would have seen. There were no disclosures on the door so it was somewhat of a "sucker-punch" to be exposed. Am I being hypersenstive? Or is my background in counseling and root causes of sexual abuse influecing my disgust for the degrading of women and the desensitizing of minds. Women were never created to be objectified for sad and lonely men. The men's bathroom apparently has pictures of naked men. Thankful my 5 & 6 year old daughters had not been exposed to it. read more

First Fellini's Yelp review, but certainly not my first Fellini's rodeo. Down in Norfolk with 14 yo son for visit with friend and to show him dad's old Navy haunts (from up North in Mass). Dinner was going to be Fellini's from the git-go. He loves Italian. Calamari to start. Very tasty. He's not a sauce guy - loved it straight up with a splash of lemon. Chicken Parm for him. 4 stars. Lots of pasta with it; he couldn't finish it all. I had the Meat Lasagna. Picture included. Fan favorite for all those who love no-sh@t meaty lasagna. They don't skimp. Just plain excellent. Very disappointing food. Went in on my lunch break to get food Togo. The bartender was nice. But the food was beyond me, esp since the reviews are so high. I ordered the spinach pasta. I'm not even a picky eater/foodie and I had to throw it away after a few bites. It tasted like plain pasta noodles with just spinach thrown on top of it. Whole garlic cloves were mixed in but I didnt taste any garlic, or anything for that matter besides plain noodles and spinach. I'm not sure what I expected but it wasnt this. $12 wasted. My daughter loves this place so we have been numerous times. I think it is just okay. I don't mind going here, but I would not choose to do so on my own.
