Yummy and fresh to order! On diet restrictions so I ordered a Jasmine green tea with 25% tea and it was hot and the freshest thing I've tasted in a while. Service is kind. Ambiance is open and spacious for family and friends. I'd hella come back if I lived close by!

AFTER DINNER EVENING DESSERT I been here several times. If I have a dessert craving most of the time I go to Feng Cha Teahouse after having dinner at home. My first time I went here the first drink I ordered was a hot ginger milk tea, which has a spicy yet soothing texture. Most of the drinks I've ordered from Feng Cha Teahouse are dirty boba drinks. The consistency of these boba drinks isn't too watery. Also in terms of the flavor the dirty boba drinks isn't too sweet that you can get a sugar rush. There are several boba drink places that serve food. What makes Feng Cha Teahouse different from other places that serve food is the milk foam cakes. I could be wrong, but I don't see milk foam cakes sold at other boba places. The milk foam cake served at Feng Cha Teahouse is light and airy. The flavors of the milk foam cake provide a texture similar to cheese souffle. My favorite milk foam cake at Feng Cha Teahouse is the sea salt pearl. It's like dirty boba on a foam cake. I don't come to Feng Cha Teahouse every time after dessert however if I have a craving after dinner I'd come here for the dirty boba and milk foam cake.

Came here on Thanksgiving Day so this review is long overdue. Bonus points for the staff and Feng Cha Teahouse for actually being open. Hours of operation were limited but very much appreciated since everyone deserves to have some family time during the holidays. I arrived to a few other parties already ordering and 2 staff members behind the counter. Placing orders are done via kiosks which not only allows you to make your own personalized customizations but it also make things fool proof when it comes to avoiding possible conflicts between patrons and staff regarding mistakes. Purchases: * TARO MILK TEA * TARO MILK TEA + BOBA * OOLONG MILK TEA + SEA SALT FOAM + CRYSTAL BOBA Beverages were made according to our requests and the sugar levels were spot on!! Service was pretty quick and the establishment was clean. 4 stars- orders are made correctly but don't expect any interactions amongst staff. They spoke between themselves and only paused to hand off orders.

Brown sugar milk was just about the right taste! I had 50% sweetness and it was just the right amount. Convenient located next to Ranch 99. Easy parking. Tables were comfortable and good for sit down too. Bright clean store. If you download the app, you can earn points everything you make a purchase too.

I've been here plenty of times but consistently order the same things regardless of how many new options I see them come out with. Always earl grey or iron goddess milk tea, both good, and I appreciate how strong the tea flavor is here. The boba texture is always perfect so that's why I prefer to come here over other local spots. Sometimes I pick up the cakes for my family and they love those too. Today something came over me and I decided to order something new: the Dirty Thai Milk Tea. I wasn't expecting anything crazy because it's just Thai tea, but it turned out to be SOO good! Something about the brown sugar just pairs so well with it and gives it a more earthy flavor than usual. I don't like cheese foam so I asked to swap for salted foam which the sweet employee graciously made for me. I just discovered my new go to boba drink. I tried doing work here for the first time and loved it for that too. Free wifi, plenty of table space, and plenty of seating availability which is hard to come by at other places. Loveddd everything, now I want to try a bunch of new drinks on the menu and come more often to get work done.

    Ube Caffè Latte with Boba

Really good boba ! I had their ube latte with boba and it was super refreshing. Just know the espresso taste is not on the sweeter side so the drink itself is not super sweet but I like it that way. The ube flavor was awesome and the boba was cooked nicely. Service is super quick here! And there are plenty of tables to sit and work at though I took it to go.

Stopped by Feng Cha in Union City for a quick pick-me-up and ordered a hot black coffee--unfortunately, it was a bit too bitter for my taste. To be fair, I didn't try any of their boba drinks, which seem to be the main draw here. The menu has a wide variety of milk teas, fruit teas, and creative drinks, so it's possible I just didn't order their specialty. The space itself is clean and modern, and the staff was friendly. If you're into tea-based drinks or boba, this might be more your scene--but if you're going just for coffee, skip.

    Creme Brulee Dirty Boba
    Zara A.

I ordered their signature creme brulee boba and I really liked the crunchy topping, it's a good dessert drink. I didn't have too much interaction with service as I ordered off their ipad and took the drink to go. It wasn't too busy when I went in so it didn't take too long for my order to be ready. I would come back to try one of their foam or cheese drinks.

Salty boba cake. Tastes like Filipino mamon but horribly salty and hard not easy to chew boba.
    Erin P.

My friend and I had strawberry and dragon fruit. They didn't have an option for type of crystal boba on the kiosk or I forgot but the main cashier register wasn't work, so I paid again to add boba. Nice ambiance The taste of my dragon fruit drink was a little flat for sweetness so maybe next time I'll get 100 instead of 50%. This place is my go-to for boba with friends. Generally very chill and good vibes and clean.

Taro Chocolate Cake and Tiramisu Treasure Cake
    Roshan R.

Got a couple of delivered through DoorDash. Taro chocolate cake - 3.5/5: a little too Molly and chalky for my taste. Tasted a little raw. Tiramisu - 3/5: more milky than coffee. The presentation and packing is pretty good.

Came here on a Friday evening and there was no line. I ordered the dirty taro which is whole milk with taro chunks and it was tasty! It wasn't too sweet and the boba was soft. I just wish the boba was coated in brown sugar or honey as it tasted kind of bland. Might come back to try another drink if I'm in the area.

    Lore M.

This place has the best Taro milk tea with taro foam! Their boba has perfect texture. Thai tea is really good and creamy. The inside is nice and clean and their kiosk system was a better experience than from before. Ordered on kiosk with no problems, sat down for only about 5 minutes and my drinks were already ready! Well made drinks and great menu.

We ordered their creme brulee dirty boba and their signature black milk tea. My husband really enjoyed his dirty boba, but he said he can't really taste the crime brulee in the drink. My signature milk tea was okay, not too impressive.

Feng Cha Teahouse Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Feng Cha Teahouse

Does the "dirty boba" drink have any tea in it or it's literally just milk, brown sugar, and pearls?

Hello Yen, we have the option to choose milk or black milk tea. You can also ask to use other flavors of foam such as matcha, taro and others!

Do they have milk substitutes? Oat milk? (Asking again since the answers previously are from 2019)

Hello Wendall, we use lactose free milk as a standard on all of our milk-based drinks. For milk tea, we use non dairy creamer. We also have oat milk as a substitute. Thanks!

    Do you accept EBT cards?

Hello, currently our card merchant provider does not accept EBT. When things change, we will be sure to announce it. Thanks!

Do they still do that drink that is set on fire? If yes what's it called?

    Yes, it's called Dirty Boba.

Are you reopen for indoor dining?

Hi, yes we have opened up some tables for indoor dining.

I see a lot of pictures of the brûlée tea, but I'm not seeing it on the menu. Is it a seasonal thing?

I think that's the "Dirty Boba" drink on menu.

When the drink is wrong, How can we get it fixed / redone if we have already left?

Try to go back? I did that at a different location and they remade it, but I was only gone for a few minutes so they remembered me. Lesson learned to check the drinks before leaving!

What time does Feng Ha close currently?

Hi there! We close at 9 pm M-Th and 10 pm Fri-Sun.

When will you guys be opening up again?

Hi Thea! We are currently back up and running! Thank you for your patience and see you in soon!

Hi, may I know is outdoor seating available now?

There is no outdoor seating specifically for the shop. However, there is a small outdoor seating area between the Starbucks and the Mexican market nearby. (You'll see it as you enter the parking behind Starbucks)

Do you know where I can buy a gift card online for this Feng Cha? I sent a message and call, but nobody responded. Is this place closed during COVID?

Hi Landy, we can process e-gift cards through email. Sent you a message on next steps!

    Do you sell e-gift card?

    Yes we do!

Do they still offer matcha tea?

Yes we do have matcha tea! See you in store soon!

Would I be able to bring my own reusable drink container?

Yes, you can! We offer a 5% discount if you bring your own cup or bring back one of our reusable cups. See you in next time!

    Do they have almond milk?

Hi Melanie, yes we do have almond milk available! We also have oat milk and lactose free milk as well. We’d be happy to go over our milk options with you!

Is there alternative milk selection? Not coffee mate creamer.

I've asked the previous two times I've gone and the cashier said no. That was, until I referred to May's response to this question and she said they do not carry oat milk - only almond milk.

This looks so goood! Similar to the drinks I've tried in SG. Are you guys going to open a location here in LA 626 area?

Hi Mimi! Thank you for the kind words. We’d love to be able to come to LA. Please keep following us for more updates on new locations!

    Do they have dairy-free creamer-milk?

Hi Christian! We do have dairy-free creamer for our guests who can’t have dairy. We also use lactose-free milk and can sub it out for almond or soy milk too if you’d like. We’d be happy to go over all the non-dairy options on our menu when you…

Does this place serve any non-caffeinated TEAS like green or red rooibos, chrysanthemum tea, etc?

Hi Win! Our Brown Sugar Ginger Tea is a Chrysanthemum Tea with no caffeine in it. We also have Jasmine Green Tea which is going have the least caffeine out of our menu of 13 brewed teas. Hope to see you in store to try some of our teas!

The cake itself is delicious, but what makes it interesting is the type of fruit they use -- not Medjool or the usual Middle Eastern dates, but jujube (often called Chinese dates). That choice gives the cake a gentle sweetness with a subtle smoky note that sets it apart. Feb 21: For our first visit, we ordered quite a spread: the chocolate mochi bun, honey osmanthus cake, jujube cake, a loaf of chocolate bread (because there's no such thing as too much chocolate), and the pork floss with salted egg bread. The concept behind the pastries was appealing, which explains why we bought so much on our first trip. That said, the execution felt a little uneven. The osmanthus notes in the honey osmanthus cake didn't quite come through, the chocolate bun lacked depth of flavor, and the pork floss with salted egg bread turned slightly burnt even though we followed the heating instructions. Still, we were glad to have discovered the bakery. It's definitely worth a try.

The coconut pudding pie was sooo good, loved the texture and flavor, they had toasted coconut on the side to add on top. The fresh silk pie was my favorite! It was not overly chocolatey and had a nice mousse texture, there was an under layer of crisp ganache that made all the flavors and textures pop! The crust is nice and buttery and flakey. These were not heavy pies, just creamy light melt in your mouth. They also have frozen pies so you can take and bake yourself. So far, my favorites are Irish cream, lemon blueberry, and banana cream. It is a bit messy to eat, so have napkins and a small plate to catch any sugar or filling that may fall out when you bite into it. We had their chocolate chip cookie.
