If you've never been here, please try it out. Has been a local hotspot ever since Iv lived in Fenton. Everyone in Fenton knows it's good quality food and great customer service. The owner and his wife are always working there with the employees and they all make you feel welcome. The sandwiches are all amazing. Haven't ordered a sandwich I didn't enjoy. And the price is more than reasonable for the amount of food you get. The large sub is enough for a meal later too. Never had a bad experience here! They know how to run a business. read more

The food was amazing, we got the Shanghai Chicken hogie and a cup of cheddar broccoli, they both tasted amazing. My parents came and got the pastrami and both of them loved it. Yummy Reuben here. :) One of Husband's co-workers recommended to him this local deli for their Reuben sandwich, so this is what we tried. If you have never been here, it's basically a converted Quizno's. However, their product offerings are MUCH better, so don't run away! :) The menu is pretty overwhelming at first because they have a lot of additional offerings that are taped to the walls, and numerous specials. Your eyes will be darting around for a bit, but in the end, you will definitely find something that you'll like. They offer quite a few sizes for their sub sandwiches, small (6") at $5.99, medium (10") at $6.99, and large (13") at $7.99. Husband and I like to share, so we got one large. It is REALLY BIG! I mean, they cut my half in half, so essentially, the sandwich is 4 quarters, and quite a mouthful. The corned beef was light, nicely seasoned, and thinly sliced. Not overly peppery with the spices in the meat, and had a slight sweetness. Best of all, not greasy! The thousand island sauce I thought to be strange initially, but after biting into it, the flavor it complimented their sauerkraut really well. The subtle sour, acidic after tones were nicely balanced with the sweetness of the sauce. Two thinly sliced pieces of swiss cheese rounded off a warm, toasty and savory sub. I forget what our friend ordered, but he was satisfied with his sandwich as well, even with the medium. Anyhow, we were pleasantly surprised about this place. Sure it looks like a Quizno's but with purple and yellow menu signs, and maybe the service is a little slow and the girl was a little disheveled, but the food speaks for itself. The quantity and quality for the price is justifiable, much better than Quizno's, and a great local place to grab a quick Reuben. I'll probably try another one of their subs next time, but knowing Husband, he just might be sold on the Reuben! Check it out if you're in the area. Super nice sandwich shop, perfect for a quick bite. If you're in Fenton and need a quick lunch to satiate you until dinner rolls around, you can do a lot worse than the Fenton Deli- at least, in my experience, anyway. This is one of the better quick bite/lunch spots in the Fenton area. The portions are huge and the ingredients are fresh and I do mean fresh. No wilted lettuce or limp-looking veggies here. I've grabbed a couple of sandwiches here (tuna and veggie subs) and have no complaints about anything, other than maybe the price point is slightly elevated in comparison to a franchise chain sandwich shop, but the quality is certainly a notch above the competition, making the price difference a bit insignificant. The portions are so plentiful, one large sub is plenty big enough to share or take the rest home to snack on later. I've usually had a bit leftover, which I don't mind at all! The bread they use and the rest of the veggies and cheeses are all high quality ingredients and they don't stint on the toppings. The breads on every sandwich I've had were fresh, of the highest quality artisanal variety. The service has usually been good, always polite and friendly, but occasionally on the slow side if they're super busy, so if you're in a real rush, it can be a bit of a problem, but that's about all. Terrible experience. So let's start, I've always recommended this place. I thought it was a huge improvement on the previous Quiznos that was here. My last 2 trips have been bad enough to make me never return. Today my friend ordered a "chicken Alfredo" sandwich. It was not good..... as a result the rest of our party continued to eat as she boxed her $12.00 sandwich for the garbage. The Alfredo tastes like bad bottled ranch. I stopped her and Suggested that on of us hop in line, obviously an uneaten sandwich would be re-made. So I waited in line behind others for 18 minutes, when the gents in front of me got up to bat the owner (working the deli counter) ask me if there was something wrong, I let him know I would wait my turn. After waiting my turn I was up, I politely let him know she did not like her sandwich and would like something else with out the sauce on it. His response? " that's why we offer free taste tests" ok sure I'll happily buy a new sandwich. Ordered new sandwich, no sauce got shitty service and the offer of a value card at the end. When I responded with "yeah I won't be back this place sucks" I was told "that's enough" we left.... All in all I think this place is headed down hill. If I could leave zero stars I would. We got there at 6:25pm (they close at 7pm). They already had all the chairs stacked up. They were very rude taking our order. My elderly grandmother and I went for lunch at Fenton Deli and the man taking our order was the RUDEST HUMAN BEING IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Not only is my grandma deaf in one ear from a brain tumor, but he proceeded to scream at her once telling him she was hard of hearing. He was impatient and beyond rude and I will never be going back again. We visited for the first time this weekend after the recommendation from some friends. Absolutely awesome sandwiches and a huge menu. It's Subway style, so you can choose your bread, sauces, toppings, etc. But everything is so much fresher and the portions are huge! I got the small size Italian sub and had to take the other half home. Ordered a philly cheese steak sub today for lunch along with other people in our office. When my sandwich came back it was bloody and raw. We called up and spoke with an employee who said the owner informed her to tell us the meat is always red and raw. When I told her that is not sanitary and asked her if it's posted they serve raw meat. She then put Tina the owner on the phone. Who told me to get my ass in my car and bring it back since she had a business to run. I told her we didn't have anymore time on our lunch break to leave and bring it back but we would bring it back tomorrow. She said " so I wont see it in the state you are saying the meat is in". I told her she could come over here and see the sandwich or we could bring it back tomorrow. I informed her when we make a mistake; we correct it with our clients and she informed me she would not come over and it was easy for my ass to get in my car and come over. She also said all of their meat is delivered cooked; they just basically warm it up. That's why the green peppers were not cooked. I understand when a place gets busy for lunch; but if they can't handle it then they should shut down. Horrible service, horrible food and horrible owner. I would suggest NO ONE to ever eat at this establishment. If I could give it a zero star I would!!!! They can keep the $9 I paid for the sandwich because they lost several customers for life! read more

Hope its cooked well enough without blood gushing from it for you; that was not the case for my philly cheese steak sub. When the delivery is made from the vendor to Fenton deli all they do is warm it up and serve just like a microwave! OUCH they don't cook or season it so they can not take credit for the taste of their sandwiches since they are just microwaving it up. Service was horrible and the employees and owner was very rude. They could have just fixed the situation and let us come in tomorrow but instead got in an argument with our team over it not being their fault since it's delivered that way. Honestly I am not certain why huge portions rate as five star fare. My calories are precious and quite frankly I can't afford to waste them on sub par sandwiches that are best described as gut bombs. Steak sandwich consisted of salty steak, blue cheese, ranch sauce and steak sauce. Seriously I like savory but that is over the top. Totally disagree with the last post. We love the Fenton Deli...no it's not technically a deli, but their sandwiches are much higher quality than Quiznos or Subway. The bread in particular is always fresh and delicious and you get a ton of sandwich for your money! If you're looking for a mediocre, slightly stale sandwich with no pizazz, go to Subway. But if you're looking for a family-owned business that serves up fresh, delicious sandwiches then try Fenton Deli. We really enjoyed their soups, too. If you want an actual deli...go to VGs. read more
