Best Pizza you can get in Jefferson County. If you want that retro, nostalgic, cheesy pizza, go to Ferino's. Always nice people and when I order the pizza all the way from PT, they have it ready, piping hot as soon as I walk inside. The restaurant itself is just classic, looks and feels like how a pizza place should be. Having a pizza place that cares about its inside environment is on top. What a wonderful place!! They are doing Take-Out only, however they let you know that upfront, which is helpful. We placed an order, waited outsdie, and they brought it to us, we waited maybe 20 minutes for two of the most delicious pizzas. The crust is so good, the right amount of thickness, crunch and taste. This review is for to go only. Have had pizza from here a couple of times. Two days ago, my friends ordered a large combo and a couple garden salads. The combo pizza had a good crust. I generally don't eat the end of the crust because it's too hard for me, but theirs stayed softer. Great portion of toppings and cheese. Pepperoni, Italian sausage, linguisa, salami, mushrooms and olives are the toppings. My friend ordered half with extra cheese, and they did that well. No sauces were added on the side. The salads were all right. Lettuce, couple cherry tomatoes, few sliced black olives, little shredded mozzarella and croutons. Tried the blue cheese which was mild and lacked cheese chunks, but didn't expect that from here. Delivery isn't available. They offer 3 hot subs, too. read more

We were passing through town and needed a quick lunch - take-away style. Ordering food can be a challenge for us as we need gluten free options for a celiac in our family. Tried Ferino's because their menu had a gluten free crust option. It was SO good! Seriously, the best gluten free crust we have tried yet, and we've been doing this GF thing almost four years. We ordered a GF Aegean and regular 10-inch Canadian bacon and pineapple. Our eight year old loved the Canadian pizza, and all the veggies, feta, and shredded pep on the Aegean were delicious. This rating is based on one bad experience out of several good experiences, I admit. We moved to the Port Townsend area from a place that had a lot of fancy pizza joints that we really liked. We were very happy with the quality of Ferino's when we moved out here. The food was great .. until the one time it wasn't. We ordered a variation of their combo, which we've had before. It's usually awesome. This time it wasn't. It was some weird combination of really spicy and salty (or something else). We couldn't quite describe what was wrong but it was inedible. It was late at night when we finally dug into it so there was nothing to be done except be disappointed. Called Ferino's the next day and spoke to a manager. Basically heard back, "those are spicy and salty toppings" and "we make it the same way every time" and the capper, "we hope the next time you come in you like what you get". No apologies, no offer of a refund or credit. I felt like I was told it was our imagination. Ferino's has lots of fans and you'll probably get an awesome meal. If we went back, odds are good we'd get good food. But on the off-chance I get bad food, I don't want to be brushed off like it didn't happen. We paid for a pizza we couldn't eat. read more

I ordered their version of a medium pizza with pesto instead of red sauce, mushrooms, olives, and sausage. Sticker shock! $25 for a 12", three-topping pizza! Wow. I'm new to the area and don't know locations for good pizza places, so I looked to Yelp for recommendations. That did not work out for me. I ordered the pizza blindly and, to be honest, in a hurry. I wasn't aware that their medium (12") is the size of a small (see picture below). When I went to pick up the pizza and the person helping me asked for $25 and some change, I was in disbelief. Considering the size of the pizza, I questioned them about the charge and they showed me the pizza sizes on the wall and the menu. They said there was an extra charge for the pesto (even though I didn't get red sauce). They eventually took off the charge for the pesto, which was just over a dollar. It's my fault for not checking all of this before I ordered, but please know, there is NOTHING special about this pizza to justify spending $25+. When I got the pizza home, it was barely warm and the crust and toppings tasted like store-bought frozen pizza. The person helping me was polite and did their best, but I could clearly see their hands were tied. I politely asked that they give their manager/owner my feedback and they said they would, but from their reaction, I doubt it will change anything. I can't imagine what it would cost to feed a family of four at this place. $50? $75? For pizza? read more

We prefer take out over sit in, primarily because they don't have a bar. In all seriousness, the place would likely be packed constantly if they did. The person taking orders is always nice, ambiance is fine, but could use a arcade game or two to pass the time waiting for 'za. The pizza is definitely acceptable for what's available on the Quimper. You can even eat it cold, and it's still tasty. It doesn't turn into a brick-chew-challenge, or reveal any subpar ingredients. That's mostly our criteria, since we often have a couple beverages nearby whilst waiting for pick up to be ready, where we can easily lose track of the minutes. Been eating Ferino's pizza, salads, and sandwiches since they were down the road... 40+ years years. The food has been consistant all this time and really is worth driving for (I live in Poulsbo). The establishment is always spotless, staff friendly and helpful, and my orders are normally ready for pickup when promised. There is also a nice selection of beverages to compliment the food offerings. My favorite pizza is a Hawaiian. Ferino's crust has a buttery flavor which really comes through on this one, unlike anywhere else. The toppings are always generous and the sauce taste home-made. I think the ambiance is great... background music is never too loud and even with a large party happening one can still have a nice conversation at your table. I got takeout from Ferino's a couple of months ago, and it was a soggy, mushy mess. It was one of their specialty pies, so should have been good, but it was overloaded with toppings. I went with local friend who recommended the pizza & had hard time deciding on one of their interesting combos, ultimately choosing the Mediterranean. It was loaded with lots of fresh veggies & cheeses, so yummy and filling. My friend chose a simple pizza but neither could finish our small size pizzas as they're very generous portions. Enjoyed leftovers next day. Good selection of beer, wine & cider; other food options besides pizza. Large, airy space, lots of booths and windows. Currently, this classic family style pizza joint can't be utilized for pizza parties due to COVID-19, but oh boy was this pizza a party in our mouths. I had a chicken bacon ranch sub. The sandwich was dry except for the tomatoes which helped on a few bites. The flavor was good but the chicken was super dry. I ate only half and brought the other half home in hopes I could doctor it up enough to finish eating it. The Doritos chips that came with the sandwich were super stale even though the expiration date is in a couple months. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. We also ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and that was very good. We usually have great experiences with this restaurant but it seems like the last few times it was not up to par. I have been there before and it was good, This last time I went and it will be the last time I ordered a thin crust 10'' with pineapple, bacon and extra sauce. What I got was a soggy combo with pineapple. Did not even see bacon on it. Needed a fork to eat it because the crust could not hold one topping let alone everything that I did not even want on it. This place has been around for a while, and after vacationing here for yeara, they finally got the pizza right. Congrats to the cook and owners for finding the perfect amount of toppings and good amount of cheese on a pizza. It has been a long search for good pizza and they have it. Little on the expensive side but they use a good quality of food. My sister had a meatball sub that she absolutely loved. Had 3 meatballs on white bread, with the perfect amount of sauce. I wish we had this place in Texas. I do wish they were cheaper. That's why I didn't give it 5 stars. But if you want good pizza, u would get it from this place. read more

I wish we would've thought to take a photo before devouring our "pizza of the month"! I am a pizza aficionado and rarely get excited enough to write a review. This place is one you should not miss. We stayed in Discovery Bay for a week and found this to be a wonderful place. They sell slices as well as whole pies. The crust was perfect in my opinion, crispy and not too thin to hold up to the toppings. Nice amount of quality cheese. A bit spendy but well worth it. I couldn't stop thinking about going back for more, but didn't make it this trip. It is definitely on our list of places to return to while anywhere near Port Townsend. The Port Townsend brewery beer served by the bottle was another great find to accompany our excellent pizza. read more
