    Cheese Pizza
    Jenni D.

What a wonderful place!! They are doing Take-Out only, however they let you know that upfront, which is helpful. We placed an order, waited outsdie, and they brought it to us, we waited maybe 20 minutes for two of the most delicious pizzas. The crust is so good, the right amount of thickness, crunch and taste. From the sauce, and melted cheese to crunchy bacon...I highly recommend this restaurant. Order today...its delicious!

    GF Aegean

We were passing through town and needed a quick lunch - take-away style. Ordering food can be a challenge for us as we need gluten free options for a celiac in our family. Tried Ferino's because their menu had a gluten free crust option. It was SO good! Seriously, the best gluten free crust we have tried yet, and we've been doing this GF thing almost four years. We ordered a GF Aegean and regular 10-inch Canadian bacon and pineapple. Our eight year old loved the Canadian pizza, and all the veggies, feta, and shredded pep on the Aegean were delicious. Wish we lived closer so we could eat here more often. Also, the staff were very nice!

I don't have particularly large hands. This is their $25 medium pizza.

I ordered their version of a medium pizza with pesto instead of red sauce, mushrooms, olives, and sausage. Sticker shock! $25 for a 12", three-topping pizza! Wow. I'm new to the area and don't know locations for good pizza places, so I looked to Yelp for recommendations. That did not work out for me. I ordered the pizza blindly and, to be honest, in a hurry. I wasn't aware that their medium (12") is the size of a small (see picture below). When I went to pick up the pizza and the person helping me asked for $25 and some change, I was in disbelief. Considering the size of the pizza, I questioned them about the charge and they showed me the pizza sizes on the wall and the menu. They said there was an extra charge for the pesto (even though I didn't get red sauce). They eventually took off the charge for the pesto, which was just over a dollar. It's my fault for not checking all of this before I ordered, but please know, there is NOTHING special about this pizza to justify spending $25+. When I got the pizza home, it was barely warm and the crust and toppings tasted like store-bought frozen pizza. The person helping me was polite and did their best, but I could clearly see their hands were tied. I politely asked that they give their manager/owner my feedback and they said they would, but from their reaction, I doubt it will change anything. I can't imagine what it would cost to feed a family of four at this place. $50? $75? For pizza?

    Half half meat lovers/cheese

Found this spot while traveling. Take out only due to covid. Hearty toppings for the meat lovers. Quality meats, good crust and sauce. A definite step up from any chain place for only a small increase in price. Definitely worth checking this place out.

Half and half. Chicken cordon bleu and carnivore.

I'm not a fan, their pizza is cheap. Their dough is cheaper, and the people that work there while they're all right, pretty good people.

By-the-slice can be limited at the street level window due to its popularity, but I've never had a bad slice even when I ordered something I wasn't sure I'd like. When dining upstairs the service is just okay at best. The servers can be pleasantish enough, but not super-efficient in how they manage serving customers. I say that as a former wait person of 10+ years. I've been there when it's been packed and when it's pretty mellow. In the summer, upstairs can be as hot as what you think the front porch into Hell might feel like. In winter, don't sit by the windows even though they're closed. One dude making pizza and serving downstairs at the slice/pick-up window can get kind of grumpy. He reminds me of Seinfeld's "Soup Nazi." Kill him with kindness, and it'll work out in the end. In spite of that, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather get pizza. There IS a place off a highway near Nyack, New York, but it's a MUCH longer trip. Pizza here is a solid 5, service upstairs is a 3, service downstairs is a 1-5 depending on the direction of the wind, ambience is a 3+ because even though it's really probably a 2 in most people's eyes, the building is old, funky, has history, and I like that.

I mean, wood-fired oven, eclectic ingredients, and local sourcing. What's not to like, right? Well... We ordered the sausage and added their garlic mushroom special topping. While the crust had just the right amount of char, it was really chewy. It may be grown and milled locally, but it lacked the crispness and airiness of a good Napolitano pizza crust. Also, we paid an additional $8 for the mushrooms. There were minuscule amounts on our pizza. There wasn't that much of sausage, either. We ordered a glass of Sangiovese and another of Tempranillo. They were imported and fairly acidic. Why not take advantage of the great WA wines? The guy handling the orders (dark hair and a good amount of ink) was great. He apologized that they had just run out of the Walla Walla onions we wanted to add to our pizza. He gave us a reasonably good estimate of the wait time. When we finished our wines and decided to change our dine-in to to-go, he made it happen with no issues, despite dealing with a long line of people placing orders.

Price is also reasonable given the huge pie. I was able to get half margarita and half spicoli. The workers estimated a 25 min wait which was fine. It ended up being ~40 min wait but also okay. The pizza itself was super worth the wait. The crust is suuuuper thin, it's basically a cracker. Not my favorite personally, but the flavor of the whole slice is what matters. The margherita was light and garlicky and basily and oh so flavorful. I loved the balsamic glaze as well; added a deep sweet flavor which I enjoyed. The spicoli was craaaazy. The slices are massive and it's loaded with so much cheese and sausage that you can't even pick it up LOL. Flavor also 10/10. Would definitely recommend this place if you're a fan of super thin crusts! The flavors and topping selection is guaranteed yum.

Decided to check them out once confirming they had a worthy enough rating from Yelp. Once inside the layout was hip and welcoming...mostly bar seating at a lengthy bar and high top tables... I know they had a patio with outdoor seating available (and well-behaved pooches on-leash are welcomed!), but I didn't check it out this visit. Maybe next time! Service - Immediately greeted by the bartender/hostess/cashier and made to feel right at home! Lori is awesome...super friendly...super groovy...cool sleeve tattoos...wifey in another lifey (LOL)... and just super good at basically running the front end of the joint! She gave me a menu and several samples of the beers on tap so I could make my decisions. Food - Ordered a local citrus IPA and a 9" Meat Lovers. Pizzas are available in either 9" or 12" sizes and range from just under $20 to just over $30. Truthfully, thought this a little expensive for a pie... but I decided to stick with the decision of checking this place out. And let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed!! While the local IPA was just alright - nothing to write home to pops about - the pizza was damn tasty... and this is coming from a guy who had a side hustle for 20+ years in the pizza industry (management in a very small west coast family owned chain). Perfectly cooked thin crust that was crispy outside but still airy inside...and yet a little chewy all around! Sauce was lightly applied (my preference) with a slightly sweet and flavorful profile. Cheese was also light and with a very good mild flavor. The meats!!! OMG...the meats!! Spicy pepperoni, sausage, salami, and bacon (and not some crummy cheap bacon bits nonsense!). The meats are flavorful and fully legit...felt as if I was back in Sicily! Deliziosa!! Definitely will be back next time I pass through! They have a number of creative pizzas on the menu I want to tray next - plus the obvious ability to build your own custom pie! Keep up the great work, y'all!!

They were cooking pizzas furiously but their ovens were handling the load and their crusts were cooked perfectly. That's common problem at pizzerias when the pace is fast and furious; they tend to send the crust out uncooked. Not this place; their crust was delicious. The problem was that I ordered a Salsiccia, a sausage pizza and there was little or no sausage on the pizza. It was take out so I could not just return it. It wasn't horrible without sausage but it was not what I ordered. I have to ask myself why people would do this? It was a very simple thing to put sausage on the pizza so how could they forget it? Or did they do it on purpose because I only tipped $2.00? In my mind, 10% is a nice tip for TAKEOUT. After all, it is less than half the work for the staff if I take the Pizza home. Where is the special service in take out? The tips are not a way for a cheap employer to pay their employees; they are a bonus for taking good care of the customer. But, there is a minimum standard for taking care of the customer and giving them what they paid for is part of that minimum standard. I think they might have the formula for good pizza but I won't go back.
