Very disappointing service experience this past week at Ferman BMW. My fiancé went in for an oil change on her X3 and,to have a diagnostic scan done for a "check service engine light." When we first purchased our BMW, we stopped in to the very same Ferman BMW and spoke to the Service Manager. At the time, one of the things that I asked him about was the cost of performing an oil change on her X3 and he told us $79.00. Well, this week she brings her SUV in for service and they tell her the oil change will be $125. While on their website, they are running two service promotions - $139.99 oil change for $79.99 and the other is for a complimentary diagnostic scan. When I called to question the service rep said "oh yeah, I'll make sure that she gets it for $79.00, but, the offers can't be combined" and said the scan will be $160. Why deception, and why couldn't the service rep have told my fiancé right off the bat about the oil change promotion that was being run? And then he tells me that we are doing a multipoint inspection and a car wash with the oil change as if it's something extra? That's standard and I told him as much. And he then agreed. So in reality, she could have brought her SUV in on Monday for the oil change at $79.00 plus tax and then had the complimentary scan done on another day at no charge. So instead, the service rep adjusted the bill by removing the scan cost of $160 and charging my fiancé the full amount for the oil change--$125.00 plus tax. Why not provide what wins today specific to Customer Service...a unique and world class Customer Experience that customers don't just expect, they demand today? They also asked to keep her vehicle but could not provide her with a loaner and said that she has to reserve one a week ahead of time. That was shocking. She lives 1.5 miles from the dealership and instead they offered her an Uber. Moving forward we will be taking our service and future purchases to Bert Smith BMW in St. Petersburg, Florida. While Ferman BMW is 1.5 miles from our home, a 30-minute drive is well worth it when the Customer Service is 1st class and so professional. A month ago, I was coming off the beach on a Saturday and my Check Service Engine light went on. I didn't call Bert Smith BMW, just pulled right in, was treated very professional, with the utmost courtesy and respect and they offered me a loaner on the spot and reviewed the promotional discounts that they had going on at the time. Big difference and a huge disappointment with Ferman BMW! Taking our business to Bert Smith BMW moving forward UPDATE: I called Bob Murray the Service Manager at Ferman BMW like the reply asked that I do and left a message. Ferman BMW is the best. Not only is the dealership gorgeous and clean and filled with some of the most beautiful BMWs on the planet, but they are genuinely nice and helpful and appreciate each and every customer. I had the most amazing experience when I purchased my new 435 in late July. Everyone at the dealership made me feel at home. I am forever a fan of the product and the people at Ferman. My sister will be next when she comes to buy her convertible 4 series. Marcos Villas is the best sales person. He was helpful and made me and my sister feel welcome and at home. I even recommended Marcos to one of my best friends and she drove 2 hours to Tampa just to work with him. He is knowledgable and takes his time to explain and negotiate. Marcos has such an amazing energy and positive light that working with him was a breeze. The Sales Manager Alan Mazur also made myself and my friend feel like we were at home when he came to introduce himself and congratulate us on the purchase of our new cars. Working with the Finance Manager Rob Marchant was a dream. In my previous experience I always disliked the finance portion of the car buying experience but with Rob at Ferman it was actually FUN, Fast and Efficient. It was a breath of fresh air! I had tinting services performed on my car and Kenny Russell came to pick up my car. He was so helpful and knowledgable. He went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of timely and he even sat in my car and provided me with just the right amount of genius service that I needed to get started. Kenny also had a group teaching session with me and my friend who also purchased a BMW and he was beyond patient and helped answer all of our questions. Finally, I was involved in the flooding event recently in South Tampa so my 6 day old car ended up dying and needing all the help she needed. Joe Cleaver my service advisor was the best. He was knowledgable, he worked seamlessly with my insurance adjustor and I was back in my just like BRAND NEW car in 6 days! His service and the BMW technicians excellence was amazing. My car is in perfect working condition. I appreciate Joe's expertise and diligence. I whole heartedly recommend Marcos, Rob, Kenny and Joe. I am so happy that I drove out to Palm Harbor from my South Tampa home to buy my car from the best BMW dealership in Florida. If you want to be treated with excellence, feel like a VIP, and purchase a magnificent vehicle that is fun to drive and sexy to look at please go to Ferman BMW. I live less than 10 miles away from Ferman BMW in Palm Harbor. In the 2000's, my wife and I bought a couple of BMWs from Ferman. Service during those years was terrible at best. No callbacks or updates after promised but delayed service completions were the norm. And, every time I would pick up my car, I was always politely strong-armed to be sure to give Ferman a "5-Star" rating, with follow up emails requesting same... Yeah! Everyone in my community and personal circles who also owned BMWs said the same thing, "service at Ferman sucks, I'm going or have gone elsewhere". I always thought it was a shame because they were losing or never had some percentage of customers despite the strong buyer-demographics surrounding Ferman's Palm Harbor location. Word gets around. My current vehicle was purchased two years ago from Reeves. They were great during the transaction and my limited service experiences so far were equally outstanding. But, for me, Reeves is a pain to get to and about 30 miles away. I bought from Reeves because they responded far better than Ferman during the pre-purchase due diligence phone call process, and I had the poor service experiences with Ferman in the back of my mind. About three weeks ago, I received a call from Ferman (not Reeves) informing me it was time for service. I was happy to be reminded that I could take my BMW to any dealer as Ferman is much closer and easier to get to. So I took the car to Ferman for service. As to the purpose of the history above: Ferman BMW has really turned their service expectations around! Both my drop off, rental, and pickups were easy, quick, and fluid. I have visited Ferman BMW for minor service in the last couple of years (accessories, etc.) and the experiences were great. I don't know about the other service representatives but my rep was responsive, informative, professional, and "owned" the follow-up. Also, the waiting area is very comfortable and teched-out but then again, that's expected these days. Service at Ferman BMW for me has not been the same as it it was in the 2000s. With being so close to home and it really looks like they got the "service issue" fixed, I will consider Ferman BMW in Palm Harbor for my next purchase. And, I'll probably tell some of my BMW-owning friends. read more

I posted this a while ago and it still appears on a Google search. But it has disappeared from the list of Ferman BMW reviews. In order to be fair to this business, I'm posting it AGAIN. I don't work for Ferman BMW, but I have spent a lot of money there - bought one vehicle, leased another & pay for service and parts I buy there. Here is my review: In 2004 I bought an X3 from this dealer. You know how it is when you walk into a dealer, it is literally the "luck of the draw" as to which sales person is "Up" next? I got a lemon. It's my very local dealer so I dealt with it. A couple of years later we went back for a car based on excellent service on the SAV, and met a guy who has become a friend - John C. He was and remains the consummate salesperson - concerned about you the buyer, willing to work FOR you and is a BMW enthusiast who supports the BMW Car Club. When I replaced the X3 with an X5d, John wasn't able to get me what I wanted in time to take advantage of a special program that BMW had. So, I bought from another dealer. John remains a friend. When is the last time you saw something like that? Often a car salesman will turn his or her back on you if you don't buy from them. (P.S. - the other dealer's sales rep was ok, just not as dedicated as John.) Service at this dealer continues to be top notch. Had a bit of a scare after last oil change by them when 2 days later the "Low Oil" warning went off. I blamed the service tech for shorting the oil. HOWEVER, I changed the oil the next time (I do it myself in between free BMW changes) and the SAME thing happened. So, it is BMW's electronic dipstick that is the culprit, not the dealer or me. I contacted this dealership, along with every other dealership in Florida searching for the right car for my wife. I located a vehicle here that my wife really liked. Out of all the dealerships that I spoke with, this dealership was superb in every way. Every other dealership was very difficult to deal with in Florida. This dealership was the only dealership that I contacted that was upfront and honest with their pricing and financing. Regina was awesome and attentive when I first made contact. I can't say enough positive things about Alexis DeFreitas. She was amazing to deal with from start to finish. Her customer service and sales skills are professional. She was very informative, answered all of my questions, and worked with me to get me the best deal on my new BMW. She followed up with my before, during, and after the sales process. There was no tricks at this dealership, everyone that I spoke to was upfront and honest with the whole process. I was impressed with every department that we dealt with during my visit to pick up my new vehicle, including the finance department. Erin in finance was great to deal with and covered everything, she was very patient and took time to explain all details of the warranties, as well as things for us to consider down the road with regards to warranty options. The GSM, Shane introduced himself and we appreciate him working with Alexis to get the best possible deal. Overall, this is the best experience that I ever had on purchasing a new vehicle, and it was worth the 2 hour drive! I have been in sales all of my life, and I can tell you this is a very professional organization to deal with and they left a lasting impression on my wife and I. Words can't describe how great my experience was when shopping for a car at Ferman BMW. I bought a white 2016 228i w/ M sports package and love it!!! This was my first time buying and getting a BMW. Marcos Villas (client advisor) and Kenny Russell (BMW Genius) were amazing!! Marcos was really great to work with and had great knowledge on the cars. He is very welcoming and made the shopping experience easy. One thing I really liked was he was very patient with me due to my indecisiveness on what I wanted in a car, but he took it like a trooper! Best sales person to work with and I recommend anyone to him if you are interested in buying new or used cars so ask for him!! Also, can't forget about the BMW Genius guy, Kenny Russell. He is the man to go to or I should say your best friend when you have no clue how to work the specs on your BMW. There is a reason why he is called a BMW Genius because he knows it ALL. I'm very tech savvy and can easily figure out what each spec does, but I definitely had trouble figuring out how to use my car. I prepared a list of questions for Kenny and he was able to answer all of them (well I did get him on one thing he didn't know about lol), but the tutorial he gives on your car are great and fun to learn. He showed me things I didn't even know about that I could do and I'm grateful for that. Overall for a first time buyer, I must saying it was a great experience! Bought my BMW here- used, 2014 5-series-with a warranty that I was told that I will get a reminder before it runs out...so I can keep renewing with them- only brought my car EVER to this one dealership for oil checks and yearly check-ups and parts each and every time they sent a reminder. Last visit- oil change and a new tire and not a word about my warranty expiring. This visit, Oil change and now they hit me with 10 k worth of repairs- because an upper gasket is leaking oil, valve cover gasket is leaking and turbo coolant lines are leaking...not a drop on my garage floor, but explained to me that it happens...the car only has 61k miles on it... and guess what? This time they tell me- oh, your warranty expired...and I guess no one reminded you to renew it. Yeah, I checked the past 30 e -mails from them and not a word. This after I pay off the loan early on the car. NOW, the crazy part. I decide to get a second opinion and take it to another BMW repair shop. They take a day and go over the list of problems with the car from the printout the BMW dealer gave me and guess what? They made up over 4k worth of work. The actually said something was broken that wasn't and were going to charge me over 4 k to fix it. I posted a google review twice and somehow it was removed as well, and never got an answer there. Worst dealership ever. Just horrible. read more

We had no intentions of buying a vehicle that Sunday we drove into Ferman BMW. My wife and I parked and casually strolled around the lot looking at cars. Not immediately but rather in the appropriate amount of time a sales person, Brian Gains, came out to greet us. We were immediately put at ease by his demeanor. We looked at few different types of BMWs, X1, X3 and X5, and he was very knowledgeable about the vehicles. We weren't looking to purchase a new vehicle but rather a slightly used, "certified" vehicle. Brian took us to a used X5 with low mileage. We went for a test drive and fell in love with the car. Inside the office, Brian was very attentive and did all the running around, back and forth, to the manager. We settled on a deal and were out of there in a short period of time. The whole experience was very satisfying. Since the purchase Brian has been in touch with us a number of times making sure we were satisfied with the purchase and emailing me a couple of hints and sites I could go to for help. Initially, I was looking at the X3 and 3 series, when I caught a glimpse of the 128i convertible. I spoke with Melina Rubino who said "let's take it for a test drive". I will never forget the g-forces I experienced while she displayed the awesome braking power of the 128i. Then Melina said it was my turn to drive - we drove with the top up (handled great, hardly any road noise) - was impressed. Then we put the top down - the wind, the sun, and the fun filled my ultimate driving experience. I didn't even want to test drive the X3 or 328. So thanks Melinda, for the thrill ride and taking the time walking the lot showing me all the options and colors to make sure I ordered exactly what I wanted. Oh, I got the sports seats - this is a must option to get!! My entire experience with Ferman was outstanding. The F&I guy (Bob) was very informative and helpful. Alan, the Sales Manager was very professional and appreciative of my business. Even the detailer was so helpful and courteous when I came in early to pick up my car. Brian Gains was an outstanding representative for Ferman BMW when I bought my new 2016 535i. Not only was he infinitely familiar with the extensive BMW line, but also bent over backwards to get me a car exactly the way I wanted, which was not an easy task. I was willing to pay for the options I wanted, but stubborn about not wanting to pay for stuff I did not need. He took a lot of time and looked all over the country to find my perfect car, which I'm delighted with. If you want to get a knowledgeable, charming and low-pressure guy to help you find your BMW, I highly recommend Brian Gains. Kenny Russell was the awesome BMW Genius at Ferman that showed me the intricacies of my new 2016 535i. I'll be the first to admit I'm hard to impress, but Kenny blew my mind when it came to knowing the ins and outs of the electronic systems on my car. What a first class buying experience! I found a couple of certified pre-owns that I was interested in, online, with some amazing pricing! I called the dealership and made an appointment to come in the next day. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted and was never sat in a waiting area. KARL and ROBERT went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my trade in options, pricing, etc. Robert walked my through the different features and benefits of the BMW 3-series models. Long story short, I bought a 328i the very next day. KENNY and MARCOS had me in stitches laughing the whole time, a personally helped unload my trade in vehicle and get me settled into my new car. As I was going over the paperwork in Finance with ERIC, they were detailing the entire car for me and getting me a full tank of gas! Eric went over the amazing benefits of BMW, such as key loss protection, rim/tire protection, etc. Overall, a 10 experience. Bought a gently used 2012 Acura from Ferman BMW. From the moment that I contacted them until delivery, the service I received was incredibly awesome. Most auto dealerships put you through the ringer and a bunch of non sense. Not with Ferman BMW. I live in Louisiana and this dealership is located in the Tampa FL area. They appraised my trade in quickly and gave me a great price on the trade in as well as the Acura I was buying. The whole process was quick and simple. My sales representative was James Hendon and the mgr I spoke with initially was Phil. Both are great guys with good intentions. They explained everything to me in simple English with no fancy, fast talk. They were all action. To top if off, James offered to drive my car to me and pick up my trade for a fraction of what it would have cost to ship to Louisiana. Now, that's what I call service from the beginning until the end. We don't see that type of action and service very often folks. I highly recommend Ferman BMW and especially Phil and James. We found our car in Ferman's online inventory and was immediately called by a representative, Lori Hyde. She was professional and very helpful. Within a day, salesman Michael Pastore called and began the negotiating process. We knew the price and the discount (advertised online) so there was little "haggling" to do. At first part of the deal was for Michael to meet us 1/2 way (we live in Ft. Lauderdale) in Naples with the car. However, we were told that we must go to the dealer for a CPO car. Ferman was willing to pay for our flight, so the deal was still on. We took an easy flight to Tampa, and Michael picked us up from the airport. It was a very smooth deal. The dealership is very nice. Michael had everything organized for our arrival. Within two hours we were on the road in our 2010 128i, back to FLL. Honestly, Michael made this deal work- we bought a preowned (used) car, but didn't feel like we were dealing with a "car salesman" (stereotype). Hopefully everything will be as smooth dealing with Ft. Lauderdale/Pembroke Pines BMW. read more

I went to Palm Harbor to get a BMW for my wife. I have owned a couple of them before including 528,328. I personally Love this Dealership. They are busy and I can see why the staff I have worked with are great. If you ever have a problem talk to someone higher after all not everyone is going to be 100% happy, but they do try. Peter G. Is super 5 stars! He is the GM and cares for his customers and staff. Mary K. wow! This lady is on top of everything. She will make you feel VIP before and after the sale. I strongly recommend her. If you want the best she is it! Robert Marchant is the business Director, this guy will do his best to make your deal go through, very honest and up front. Instead of buying one car we bought two both covertible and love it. They are both brand new. The guy who does the detail is awesome, he stay after closing to get my car looking show room ready. Brian Gains was (and has been) an EXCELLENT salesperson. The experience with the first car we bought from Brian to the now 8+ car we've purchased from him, he has ALWAYS been EXCEPTIONAL! Just purchased my first BMW at FERMAN BMW, it is a used BMD and has " all the bells and whistles", I had an excellent experience AT THE DEALERSHIP. I was pleasantly greeted by the receptionist and was immediately offered beverages and snacks as I waited for my salesperson. I was met by Steve Venden, Senior Client Advisor, who was my salesperson. I was very impressed as he listened as I described the automobile that I had come to the dealership to purchase. Steve has a wealth of knowledge about BMW, he answered each of my questions and added knowledge beyond the question. I was never rushed nor pressured while searching the lot. Based upon my needs and wants Steve was able to get me a more updated model than I had come to look at. I was pleasantly pleased in the professionalism that he extended to me while arriving at the sales price. Answered each question. We arrived effortlessly at a very good price. As far as Service - - I'm glad they're here. As a longtime Jag owner, I did NOT want to loose the amazing service I've grown accustomed to from Tampa Jaguar on my past convertibles -- but after falling in love with a black BMW one, I've been to Ferman' BMW service & parts section 4 times in the last 6 months. Just to buy stuff in their Accessories dept, as it's fun, very professional and reminds me a little of the dealers in Coral Gables. Cody in service was outstanding in my case. 1 thing that impressed us was when I ordered a $40 license plate cover online, then picked it up, got back home and noticed 2 of the screw covers where messed up. Emailed the parts mgr, and with no arrogance or hassle he mailed me 2 replacements - - stupid little thing, but they handled it fast. And it's stupid little things like that, that can make a luxury car owner swear at you - or swear by you. Soo, so far they are 5 stars with me, indeed. read more

I purchased a 2013 335i convertible at Ferman BMW on Thursday, July 28, 2016. My entire experience was awesome! My sales representative John Grima was very friendly and informative. He was patient with my questions and even gave me a brief demo on driving using the sport-mode paddle shifters. The car I bought was exactly what I was looking for and had been searching for over several months. The price was exactly as I had hoped after viewing similar sales all over the South. John went out his way to make sure I was happy and every bit of the process was completed to my satisfaction. He even worked the next day to find the vehicle's spare key and fix a minor issue concerning the car's under carriage. Ben the finance specialist was helpful and friendly.
