I accompanied a good friend of mine who was looking at upgrading his vehicle and I admit I was curious myself about the differences in my Nissan compared to the similar BMW. The BMW Genius went over a few models with us and was able to answer every question we had about the different features, functions, and options. I purchased my 2013 X3 AS-IS from Ferman BMW in July 2018. Two months later I was faced with an engine that needed to be replaced. When I called Ferman BMW, Brian Pelletier didn't hesitate to do everything he could to help. I spoke with the GM, Bob Murray about my situation, he was empathetic & helped with this very expensive problem. They provided me with a loaner car for the entire time they had my car for repairs. I worked with Nick & Paul Scaglione to get me car back on the road. After being without my car for about a month, I picked her up today. This dealership had no obligation to help me with this issue. My wife and I have been searching for a month for a BMW Z4 to purchase. We happened to be near Palm Harbor and decided to stop in and have a look around. Brian Gains approached us about what we were looking for in a car. Brian was great! He took his time and explained the difference between a 28I Z4 and a 34I Z4. He allowed my wife to drive the two Z4 in order to compare the ride. Brian made us feel comfortable and took his time. He did not pressure us at all and answered any questions we had. This is the worst dealership, let alone high end vehicle dealership that I have ever been too. I purchased a Certified Pre-owned 3 series. First of all dealing with the sales department was a nitemare. They came up with some riduculous numbers and then when I was going to walk out they changed them significantly. The headlight was out, mirrors did not work, along with several other problems that should be caught in a certified pre owned inspection. Service was terrible. It took 5 days to fix these problems. I called for an general estimate to strip and repaint the hood on my BMW. I spoke with Dave in the collision department who was extremely rude and condescending telling me that they cannot give estimates over the phone. He explained to me that they "did not want to be held to a price" given for an unseen job. I explained that I lived quite a ways from the Ferman BMW dealership and just wanted a rough estimate and did not feel the need to drive an hour or more to Ferman BMW so someone can look at a hood that just required strip and paint. Obviously getting a paint job done by the dealer is usually not the most economical choice but I thought I would evaluate all of my options before making a decision. While I completely understand their concern, the term "estimate" is exactly that, an approximate or a rough calculation. I did not ask for a price quote or any agreement to be drawn up. It would be nice if their service team knew the difference between the terms "estimate" & "quote". Also, being extremely rude and not wanting to offer any assistance to a potential customer is a serious customer service flaw. read more

SCAM ARTIST! TOTALLY SHADY DEALER. NO BUSINESS ETHICS! AVOID THIS BMW DEALER AT ALL COSTS! I placed an order (on 11/23/16) for a brand new BMW, and gave the dealer a $1000 deposit. Steven Venden (salesperson) promised be a delivery date before 1/3/2017. I called the dealer on 12/10/16. The manager forgot to put his phone on hold, so I was able to hear the manager's conversation with the salesperson. The paperwork for my BMW was mixed up with another salesperson and my BMW was never ordered! The salesperson told me that he would prioritize the car and have in production in a matter of days. The salesperson told me that my NEW delivery date was February 15, 2017! I call again in a week and was promised that my car will be prioritized, and they would notify me when it started into production. Apparently, they claim the car was not in production yet at that time again, which meant another delay in production! I called the dealer again on 12/26/16, and magically the car is now in production. I was infuriated with their poor communication between the dealer and me, and also by the repeated delays in production, and also their poor communication between themselves. I cancelled my order for my brand new BMW and now I will not receive my $1000 deposit back, due to negligence and incompetence on their part. Do not go here!!!!! I brought my mom in for a used car and we were working on a deal with 1 salesman. As we are negotiating price he asks me (the one not buying the car) if I had been in before. I said yes and he said that the other salesman was helping me??? I said no bc I didn't even step foot in the building or give any of my info to him plus I'm not the one buying this time! I feel the need to share my awful experience that occurred at BMW because from the beginning until the end it was atrocious at the hands of my service representative. I called on Monday morning to make an appointment due to my engine oil sensor coming on. I was also aware that I had a recall on my airbag via mail and I wanted to get that fixed as well. I spoke to the woman who helps schedule appointments and she informed me that not only is the airbag recall active on my vehicle, but also a 2nd recall is popping up on her screen. That made me nervous and I asked if I could bring my car in as early as possible. She scheduled me for the next day at 11am. She informed me that the airbag recall part would be available for my vehicle. However she," had no idea what the second recall was even for and would leave a note for my service representative to find out and he/she would inform me at my appointment." I arrive the next morning at 10:40am on 10-11-16. I am a healthcare provider (nurse practitioner), we are trained early is on time and on time is late. I am greeted by the young man who chauffeured me into the building. The service representative was Lucas. When we walked up he was just sitting there. No one was in front of him and he was not on the telephone. He was literally just sitting there. The young man informed him that I was here to drop off my car (after verifying that he was in fact my Rep in charge of my service for the day) for service and my appointment was at 11am. Lucas doesn't even acknowledge that I'm standing there. No hi, hello, or anything. He very dryly responds to the young man, " we are not ready for her yet" and starts messing with his computer. The young man looked uncomfortable as he assisted me to the seating area. About 20min later I was approached by Lucas and was told he needed three signatures. I asked him about the 2 recalls on my car and he said," I don't have the part for the airbag and I'm not sure about the 2nd recall. You'll receive letters in the mail in a few months about both of them." So you'll understand my surprise at this as I was clearly informed my airbag would be serviced, along with my oil change, and that I would find out about the 2nd recall at this appointment. So to hear that now I'm to wait on some letters months from now before anything is addressed made me even more concerned. Lucas didn't care. Lucas could have cared a less about anything going on with my vehicle and it was 100% crystal clear. His level of unprofessionalism, poor customer interaction, and lack of desire to answer my questions with barely any eye contact were blatant. Truly a poor misrepresentation of BMW. I know this is not how they ALL are because I have had great experiences at my usual BMW in Lakeland. Since I'm in the process of relocating out of Lakeland this was the next option as it is 1 mile away from my workplace in palm harbor. At this point I need to get to my patients and start rounding. I sign the paperwork and was shuttled to work. The young man was clearly trying to break the ice as he was driving me to my facility. He truly was the only highlight of this experience. I get a phone call around 2:40p that my car is ready and all they did was a oil change. The young man comes to pick me up at 3p as I requested. Lucas is helping another customer when I arrive. Instead of waiting to finish with her to properly check me out, he pauses hands the young man my key fob, me a piece of paper, and says " have a great day." Are you serious? I will be sure to make those I work with and know aware of how poorly you may be treated at this BMW. I understand that there are days when people just don't have it in them to want to be at work, but those are the days you stay home, and take a sick day. Just a FYI to Lucas: For every 1 negative experience a customer has,you lose on average 10 potential customers. Please be confident in knowing you've cost your location to lose more than that number. I've been sharing my experience with my friends and associates and all have been equally appalled and some have even stated they haven't had pleasant experiences here either and have yet to return. There was no justifying how I was treated by Lucas and I hope this never happens to anyone else. It won't happen to me, because I will not be returning to BMW Ferman. I will be making sure I get any future services rendered back in Lakeland. Despite relocating to the west chase area. The level of great customer service that I know I will receive there will be worth the 1hr drive in my opinion. read more

Let's see. Poor drop off with surly attendant who was upset that my appointment was not on his list, that I did not have an exact time or remember my service advisor. My loaner car was 1/3 the value of the car I dropped off but was told only Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler cars were available. However, I was assured the work would be done that day so I would get mine back. They left a message at 4 PM to say it would not be done and to call the next day. I expect a certain level of professionalism and politeness from employees of a BMW dealership. I have dealt with many dealerships around the country and never been subjected to the rudeness I experienced here. I will never return and I will encourage everyone I know to stay away of you want to be treated with kindness and respect. I was pulling out of the dealership after dropping my daughter off to pick up a car we were having serviced. I was in a large pickup truck with a trailer as I was helping a friend move. I am not used to pulling a trailer and maneuvering in tight spaces and backing for long distances is a challenge. As I tried to pull out of the narrow exit onto the highway a man was parked right in the middle of the exit. He had all his doors and his trunk open. I waited and he looked back and clearly saw I was there and trying to exit. There were numerous open parking spaces this man could have pulled into right next to where he was splayed across the exit. There were several BMW employees standing around and they also saw me waiting to exit. I was completely ignored so After beeped my horn. I was still completely ignored. I got out and asked why he was parked partially blocking the only exit. A tall BMW employee came up to me and in an extremely nasty manner said "he can park wherever the hell he wants to!" Wow!!! I don't care who that man was, how much money he spends at that dealership etc., no customer should be treated with such rudeness!!! read more

I have owned my BMW for a short period of time. In that time I found out the vehicle has a blower motor wiring recall, due to the nature of the recall I was in touch with BMW NA and instructed to contact my nearest dealer and they are to assist with verifying which part the vehicle may need (apparently there are two parts that may need to be replaced) and would assist with a loaner while the car was down for the part and or work. So I called reeves bmw previously and I was told the vehicle definitely needed to be dropped off before they could get me a ETA for repair since it all depends on what the car needs, and they'll get a loaner if need be, fair enough. So I call Ferman BMW to schedule my appointment as I recently moved near by, I spoke with Brandy who assured me she was the right person to speak to, but told me that it'd be pointless to bring my vehicle in as they don't have the part. So I should call back next week, joke right ? So i asked if I was given the incorrect information, on how there are two parts for the recall and that the car needs to be looked at and she responds "my computer is telling me it's one part and it's not available." I would like to quote two parts of the recall first the part which is why I want to have this fixed or have the car parked until fixed "Degradation of the wiring connection over time, due to long-term exposure to vehicle vibrations and climatic conditions, could lead to corrosion and possibly to an increase in electrical resistance at the connection. In rare cases, this could further lead to overheating, the possibility of melting at the connection point, and potentially to a short circuit. In extremely rare cases, the melting could propagate and lead to a fire." FIRE. THE CAR CAN CATCH FIRE. this is my family car. We drive our kids in it. Secondly "I am nervous about continuing to drive my vehicle. Can I get a loaner vehicle? Is alternate transportation available? If you request a loaner vehicle and replacement parts are not available, we have directed our authorized BMW centers to assist customers with alternate transportation needs." I was told by brandy (again the person to speak to) that they could not provide a loaner until parts were in. That's unacceptable. read more

I'm so disappointed in this dealership. I purchased two cars from Ferman. A brand new x5 and a certified pre owned 650 from this dealership. I was so happy about my car. Mr. Alvarez was the manager handling my purchase. Since the day I drove the car off that parking lot 4 years ago this car has been nothing but trouble. The first problem was the roof, I had a good two years of trouble with the convertible top. Every time I drove up a driveway or went over a speed bump I would get a "slow down convertible top not locked" symbol. This went on for two years. The car was in at Ferman of Palm Harbor more than 10 times for this problem. Every Time they told me it just needed to be calibrated. Finally after my warranty went out. I brought the car back in for the same problem. This time I was out driving and it started to rain and I couldn't out the roof up. It was stuck halfway for 30 minutes. I tried everything. I finally got the roof to close but the back window wouldn't close. This time, they conveniently found a sensor to be malfunctioning which cost me $1600 in repairs. Conveniently after my warranty was out. Now my car has been in that dealership 6 times for a coolant leak, and 4 times for an oil leak. Costing me an obscene amount of money every time it needs to go in. This is ridiculous at this point. The car was in on the 11th of January for a coolant and oil leak, and then again today I had to drop it in to the dealership. I have no confidence in this dealership, none. Every time the car goes into diagnostic they find something wrong. They supposedly fix it but I find myself back at this dealership for the same related problems every three months like clockwork. I am never buying anything from Ferman. Their ability to maintain Bmw is deplorable to say the least. So highly disappointed. I will update what they find wrong with my car in a few hours. I can almost guarantee it will be a new "something" that's leaking with the coolant and oil and nothing related to the other 6 leaks previously. read more

From the time we walked into the showroom to the moment we drove off the lot, we were treated like family. My wife and I prefer to initiate the purchase/lease process via e-mail, text, etc, so we had already selected our vehicle and completed the pre-qualification process. Upon arriving at Ferman BMW, Brandy Kennedy acknowledged and greeted us immediately. Next, Karl Alvarez greeted us and introduced us to our sales concierge, Charlie Fernandes. Charlie is the consummate professional and walked us through the sales process. He continually made sure we were comfortable, asked if we needed beverages, etc. While we were with Charlie, Alan Mazur stopped by to check on us and answer any additional questions. When I asked for his opinion between two different accessory options, he went so far as to make multiple trips to the parts department to bring out samples for us to look at. Next, AJ Clarke came out to greet us and take us back for what is typically the dreaded process of signing all of the purchase/lease documentation. AJ made the process extremely efficient and pleasant. She offered us a variety of additional warranties, protective products, etc, but was not in any way pushy or overbearing. Once finished, AJ brought us back out to Charlie, who introduced us to our BMW Genius, Toby Pacuch. Toby spent a substantial amount of time going over the features of my wife's new vehicle with her, from the obvious features to the less obvious items that will undoubtedly allow my wife to have the full experience of her new vehicle. He even offered to meet with us at a later time at our location to go over any additional questions and features of which we are uncertain. Finally, Charlie again met with us to reinforce that our relationship with him and Ferman BMW did not end when we drove off the lot. He provided us with his mobile number in the event of any questions, issues, etc. It's important to note that this entire process took only about 90 minutes, a substantial portion of which was spent going over the features of my wife's new vehicle. Needless to say, this experience was both enjoyable and memorable. We left Ferman BMW without the typical feeling of exhaustion experienced after spending the better part of a day at the car dealership. The team at Ferman BMW serves as an example of what the purchase/lease experience can and should be. read more

The work they do here is good and the sales team is great. However the service department customer service needs some work. I have never dealt with a car dealership that would not let me drop my car off when they opened regardless of my appointment time. I was late to work because of this and that is not copasetic in my opinion. When I inquired as to why I could not do this, I was told that the service reps would be to busy checking in other clients. I told the woman that I was sure that they could fit me in between clients and I had up to an hour that I would wait to be checked in. She then very rudely told me that, that wasn't possible and that I should not come in before my appointment time which was at 9:20. However I arrived at 9:00 and my service rep checked my car in quickly so I would not be any later to work than I already was,. I would like to say that this is the only time that I have encounter rudeness here, but alas it is not. This is usually how things go when I schedule a service appointment here. A few weeks ago I bought a car from this dealership and dealt with Kenny. Kenny was amazingly nice and very knowledgeable. After purchasing many cars in my life, a salesman that actually isn't pushing the sale and is letting you take your time is few and far between. This would be a 5 but another employee ruined that by the name of Shane. He's one of the finance reps and he was totally full of himself when I requested to negotiate prices. He was rude and argumentative which led me to thank them for their time and leave with no car. The next day I had an appointment to get a similar model for more money because it was the principal but I received a call from Bobby and Kenny meeting me half way with my negotiation request. I got the car and my sales rep Kenny has been a help ever since even though his job is done. Thanks Ferman BMW! read more

We were victims of Ferman BMW. Our salesman talked us out of a "paid for BMW 745Li". The salesman ( who was terminated because of how he dealt with us ) told me that I had a "dangerous car that I HAD to get out of"! I later learned that they sold my 745li the next day! So much for that line of B/S! I got talked into a 2012 328 which was like driving a VW bug which I complained enough about that they actually "UNWOUND THE DEAL ON THE 328" and sold me a used 528 which had over 45k miles. This was my fault but I trusted these scoundrels and unfortunately ended up hating the 528 which couldn't get out of its own way. Also, some poor slob got sold my "used 328" which they were able to sell as new because they were able to "unwind" the deal before the car got titled. I then got into a Corvette which I tried to trade on a 535 series but Ferman could not put that deal together.....hmmmm....wonder huh? The salesman and one of the sales managers didn't care to deal with me or my wife anymore because we had lost all our equity and no longer desirable to car loan lenders. So we were politely shown the exit and told to be sure and "check back" in a year or so when we had some $15k worth of equity. Funny, that's almost to the penny what we lost on the BMW 745Li which we had title to but needed to "get out of". I must say these folks thrive on people like us that dearly want to own and drive a BMW. They are quite clever and crafty at telling you how worthless your vehicle is and how great what they are trying to sell you is!! Truth is, they are evil. They prey on honest, trusting folks who want to trust a "high end" car dealership. Buyer beware!! They will love you, shake your hand off, act like they care about you personally all the while slicing through your spine and then discarding your dumb carcass when you can't afford any more of their "fine cars"!!! read more

I am a lifetime BMW driver. I found a used BMW on CarGurus that I wanted to buy at Ferman BMW in Palm Harbor. The car is a bit rare and the price reflected that. I was able to make a deal even though I paid a bit more than I wanted to pay. I had to fly in from Miami knowing that I would drive the car home (about four hours). The dealership had a very nice young man named Alexander pick me up at the Tampa airport in a new BMW at 8 AM. I was supposed to be at the dealership at 9 AM to sign and drive home. The deal to this point was very easy via email, text and a few phone calls. I am not giving five stars because of Eric Lane, the "finance" guy. He was the only chokepoint in the transaction. First, he made me wait an hour even though I was at the dealership at 9 AM and I was the first customer he had to see. Second, I paid cash for the car and the documentation was literally a bill of sale and transfer of my old tag and nothing more. He didn't smile or engage in any conversation whatsoever. He sneered when I indicated that I didn't want an extended warranty. I assume he gets a commission for selling it. But what really aggravated me was that I asked for a copy of what I signed and he gave me only about 30% of the documents. Then I asked for a copy of my cashier's check and he said that he couldn't do that. WTF!?!?! The front end of the dealership was very professional and happy but this guy - Eric Lane - is stuck in a back office with no windows and no happiness. Ask for someone else if he is assigned to your deal. He thinks he is doing you a favor by accepting your money. Alexander set up the Bluetooth for my ride home and was awesome. read more

Had my BMW serviced here as well, and I must say I was very impressed! First off Jamie was awesome, I also liked how you receive text message notifications if you are away from the waiting area. The status of your cars service also appears on the television in the waiting room which I thought was a great touch and it's fairly accurate as well. Let's begin by saying, the service department is very good. Also, kudos to Nick who is a great service advisor. Now the sad truth.. unethical business conduct by Ferman senior sales management (which I have reported to BMW corporate). Before I continue, let me say that our sales rep Steve Venden is an innocent victim. If Steve goes to another dealer, I would buy a car from him. So if your brave enough to go back to this dealer, at least ask for Steve. So what went wrong? My son was given a price on car and was told the offer was good thru Friday. Given that he was happy with the price, he would be in Friday to proceed with the purchase. When he arrived on Friday he was then informed the deal was invalid because the deal ended Wednesday - even though the sales manager Alan approved the offer until Friday. That is lie #1. He then met with Alan and he lied to him stating that they tried to contact him prior to Friday Well, guess what.. there is a thing called phone records. Guess what?? - no phone records from Ferman as Alan indicated!!! That is lie #2 So Alan would not honor the deal. PEOPLE WE ARE TALKING DOLLARS HERE.. NOT AN AMOUNT THAT WOULD BE NOTABLE ON ANY SALES CHART! So for a small amount, Ferman is suffering brand damage due to the unethical business practices of Alan. Wow! So they thought they could pull one over on a millenial?? Guess what? not a chance!! Our son bought another brand as did I. At one point three of us in the family owned BMW's - now? NONE. Two are due to Alan. The third is a BMW issue as the X5 is not designed for female demographics. BMW is so out of touch (in general) on interior design, technology it is almost a joke. Avoid this grossly unprofessional , greedy sleazy dealership at all costs ... One week ago A deal was agreed upon for a preowned certified BMW 435i in which I would trade my Mercedes C350 4matic . They gave me a decent trade-in allowance. I originally went to look at a 2016 BMW 428i not impressed. Was shown the 435i which was a bit more money than I had planned on spending but was told that the current promotion for 2016's is 0.9 financing for 72 months. Very attractive offer and interest rate .. after mulling it over and going back-and-forth with my sales person Amanda. We agreed on a fair price and trade. And I repeatedly confirmed that the national offer of 0.9% interest would be available being that my credit score is well in the 800s.. not only did she reassure me but also the preowned manager Phil reassured me as well. Through phone calls and text we confirmed our deal. Made an appointment last night to pick up the vehicle. The entire offer no longer existed. Was told that they made a mistake. And the best They could do is 2.25% interest for 72 months. Which grossly changed the amount of money I had planned on spending.. talk about bait and switch... then was repeatedly badgered and condescended to by finance manager Mickey Lambert. Extremely unprofessional, sleazy and arrogant ... he is the stereo typical nightmare of the sleazeball car dealer/finance guy that you would ever want to deal with. read more
