Our daughter likes this restaurant so she chose it for dinner. The restaurant had a special Valentine price fix dinner menu. We added some petite oysters which was a great start, perfectly shucked. The menu choices were a nice mix of foods and Sabrina did a great job of our server. Parking is an issue so be prepared.

    Strip

Dress: upscale or business casual Wait: reservations recommended Ambiance: lively, a little loud, great atmosphere Staff: attentive Service: moderately timed This was my second visit to Fern and my favorite thing is that they work with local farmers to make a rotating seasonal menu. Here's what we tried Here's what we tried: PEI oysters 8/10 Cucumber Martini 2/10 Akuyushi Strip 7/10 Bone Marrow 8.5/10 Fingerling Potatoes 4/10 The oysters were pretty basic but I found myself picking off the shells from the meat. The cucumber martini was too strong and without any other flavor profile, it wasn't sweet or tart - just tasted like cucumber water. The strip was hyped up quite a bit due to its dry age and flavor profile for it to be a little tough and lacking in that aged flavor. The fingerling potatoes were under seasoned and not crispy. The only really redeeming dish was the bone marrow and that was definitely worth getting.

I stopped by for happy hour and Fern was truly a delight! Every item I had was full of flavor and a thoughtful experience. I grabbed a Crackers Harvest (bloody mary) to start. Beware, it has a bit of a kick to it but was still lovely and not as heavy as a normal bloody mary. Even the garnishes of the basil infused tomato packed a punch. The Red Snapper Ceviche was phenomenal. It was very well balanced with citrus, pickled veggies, and peppers. Hands down the best ceviche I've had. 2nd round I went for the Shoyu Picanha paired with a High Noon In-Fern-O (spicy margarita). The dijon mustard cream was luscious with the tender picanha. The In-Fern-O definitely leaned into the spice which may be surprising to those who aren't ready for it. I finished with the Pork Belly Burnt Ends and a Pisco Sour at the recommendation of the bartender. Both were exceptional. The hot honey and pickled veggies balanced the perfectly cooked pork belly. And the pisco sour which could have been too bitter was expertly crafted to not be overpowering. Speaking of beverages, Amber at the bar was a pleasure! She was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the experience. I loved the vibe, the food, and the staff. Definitely worth a visit if you're in West Palm.

Easily my fave meal in Palm Beach. There wasn't a single item that wasn't delicious. The squash blossoms are an absolute must to start. The goat cheese in them make it an absolutely amazing starter. My fave main dish is the cobia coconut curry. The sweet potato was delicious and it packed so much flavor. Everything is also so fresh. And service was great! For dessert we had the key lime pie (amazing and I don't usually like key lime pie), blueberry cheese cake (my fave) and peaches with pistachio ice cream (very refreshing after a day in the heat.)

This was such an experience. The restaurant was filled with beautiful and interesting artwork, the staff was attentive and knowledgeable and the food was chefs kiss. We were greeted and seated by an amazing host and our server, Rosa, was phenomenal. She was very very helpful in the ordering process and helped us make some awesome selections. We started with the cheese and meats board, everything was local, farm to table. Perfect. Then we orders drinks, can't remember the name.. but it was delicious. Our entrees come out and I am simple amazed. Whoever thought to put short ribs with sweet potatoes is a genius! The owner, or whom I assumed to be, came over to our table to make sure we were having a good experience, which we were and he even gave us a play by play on how the short rib dish came about! It was a delightful evening with amazing service. We would surely vista again when in town..

Made it back for a second time this year and honestly it keeps getting better. Their happy hour is wonderful , and you truly can't beat it. And their fried blossoms were unbelievable, I highly recommend!

I had such a great experience there. The food was absolutely delicious, everything turned out so good. And the short rib was one of the best I've ever had, it was so soft and juicy. Our server took the time to answer any questions we had and gave some great recommendations. The only downside of this experience was the fact that this restaurant is really close to the train track so whenever the train was passing by, it got really loud and vibrated a little bit. But that did not stop us from having a great time, we sat outside and the weather was lovely.

The food at Fern is fantastic. The service is fine. Street parking is available. The Shishito Peppers were the best I have ever had. The Cobia sushi was also fantastic. The Key West Shrimp looked better than it tasted. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Came here while my mom was in town a few weeks ago and enjoyed every minute of it! All of the dishes were amazing just wish the steak tartare had more steak than everything else on the plate and that the room was a little quieter but those are our only two complaints. We had Cliff as our waiter who was phenomenal. We will definitely be coming back here again!

I noted that the pork belly in my kimchi fried rice was very hard and chewy (overcooked) which should not be the case. Otherwise I could taste the kimchi which was good. Around the table, there were fried chicken wings, a big juicy burger, French fries (very tasty) and one of my cousins have the special skewered chicken from the Brazilian menu. The manager checked on us twice to make sure we were having a good time and we were - generally speaking. It's a beautiful rooftop. The vibe is super cool, cozy seating, great ambience, dim lighting that feels like a hidden gem. I sat on the comfy couch and ordered sushi from OKA, which was honestly better than ever. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The cocktails were delicious too; strong, creative, and exactly what I wanted for a chill night out. I was having a great time, enjoying my meal and drinks, when disaster struck right at the end. I had literally just finished eating when a huge roach crawled right by my feet on the couch area. It was massive and absolutely disgusting. I jumped out of my seat so fast, thankfully I was done with my food, or I probably would've lost it completely. I didn't scream (which is a miracle because I definitely would have at home), but it was such a gross turn-off. I get that this is Lake Worth and Florida has its bugs, but come on, a roach that big in a dining establishment? That's not okay. You really need to step up the pest control. Also, the bathrooms could use some serious help. They're outdated and feel neglected, definitely in need of an update or renovation to match the rest of the cool vibe. Overall, the sushi shines, the drinks are spot-on, and the atmosphere is fun... but that roach ruined the ending for me, and the bathrooms don't help. I'm not here to diminish anyone else's experience, but rather to share my own honestly and constructively. Situations like this should serve as a learning opportunity for upper-level management, especially when the level of service and leadership falls below even basic expectations. We ordered a filet mignon that lacked the tenderness I would expect from a restaurant claiming this caliber of dining. We also ordered the salmon, which unfortunately had that unmistakable metallic, pungent flavor that immediately signals the fish is not fresh and should not be consumed further. We brought the issue to the attention of the manager, who acknowledged it initially but never returned to follow up. To their credit, the salmon was removed from the bill and an alternative dish was offered. However, the overall experience still fell far short of what should be expected at this price point and reputation level. What disappointed me most was not simply the food itself, but the complete lack of genuine hospitality and ownership from management. Strong restaurants understand that service recovery matters just as much as the meal. There's a reason establishments like The Capital Grille or Flagler Steakhouse have earned reputations for professionalism and customer care. Sometimes I genuinely think managers at places like this should spend time training in environments where hospitality is treated as an art form rather than an inconvenience. The following day, I was still disappointed enough to write this review. At a certain point, guests should not have to spend over $200 while simultaneously educating a restaurant on how to deliver proper service and quality control. With an abundance of superior restaurants nearby, this is not a place I would return to, even if offered a complimentary meal. Don't chance it.
