My boyfriend and I stopped by this cute, and friendly winery for a tasting 3 weeks ago. It was close to closing but we had enough time to enjoy some wine and the live music. The ambiance is very friendly, the owner was very cordial. We definitely recommend you stop by and give them a try. We appreciated that the owner allowed us to chill and finish our wine without rushing us.

This is a must stop in Ojai. Live music on the weekends. We fell in love with Nigel and his wine. He works his butt off to make sure everyone is tended to. He made us fell so welcome, like we were at a friend's house. He had some great tips about Ojai as well, so listen to him. Try the Fully Monty tasting.

I stumbled upon this location after seeing the sign on the front door -- not realizing it would turn out to be one of my favorite experiences. From the moment I stepped in, Nigel made the space feel warm, inviting, and truly unique. The wine was absolutely amazing -- rich in taste and flavor, perfectly balanced, and clearly curated with care. Every sip added to the charm of the entire experience. Nigel's passion, creativity, and attention to detail shine through in everything he does. You can tell he genuinely cares about creating a meaningful experience for anyone who walks in. This wasn't just a visit -- it was a memorable moment I'll be talking about for a long time. If you get the chance to stop by, do it. And if you get to meet Nigel, even better. Absolute gem.

The owner Nigel greeted us and was great for a conversation! Such a cool dude. Our favorite wine was the Minis Mhor Chardonnay. Highly recommend that one. Music playlist was a banger!!!! The paintings on the wall were nice too. If you were looking for a spot to try then Feros Ferio will not disappoint.

The owner, Nigel, was super helpful and attentive. He helped me make reservations for a party of 6 girls and in addition, made several recommendation of things to do and see while in Ojai. The tastings were yummy. During our tasting we got to enjoy live music, which made the tasting experience even more enjoyable. I will be back!

Mother in law wanted a glass of wine. Because it was a spur of the moment "trip" to Ojai I didn't create reservations for wineries. Luckily we stumbled upon Feros Ferio Winery. It wasn't too busy when we arrived. When we got up to order Nigel was really nice. They know their wines. We were considering doing a wine tasting. Nigel was nice and apologized before hand that if it got busy it might be a bit until he's able to serve our next one. They allowed us to taste a couple if we preferred to get a glass which we did. The inside is small and has a few tables so I could only imagine how it gets when it's busy. I got their Barbera Blend. My mother in law got their Erchleass Cab/Grenache Blend. There was live entertainment which was nice to see. Overall, it was really nice. Wine was nice and smooth. I will come back as long as it's not busy/packed. Haha.

Great wine! I loved the Merlot but my boyfriend preferred the Syrah. The service was amazing. Nigel took his time to answer all our questions. The ambience was chill vibes with Christmas music and the elf movie playing as well. Come by Friday nights for karaoke great time.

Customer service was still great, but I noticed a few changes that took away from the experience for us personally. I do like that the tastings are no longer in the plastic tubes, although the tubes did feel like they held a little more wine. What we didn't enjoy was that when multiple people ordered the same tastings, they were placed into the same shared glass/container. In our party of four, three of us had the same six tastings and had to share. I appreciated the bow on the glass showing the pours, but I preferred the previous setup where everyone had their own individual tastings. It may seem small, and thankfully our group was fine sharing, but it made the experience feel less personal and honestly made us less interested in doing tastings again on future visits. Some people also may not feel comfortable sharing containers or touching the same glass. Nothing terrible at all, just some feedback from longtime visitors who loved how it used to be. On this visit we actually ended up ordering a bottle afterward instead, and moving forward we'll probably just continue doing that rather than the tastings.

They have a lovely place with wagyu cows, chickens, goats, etc as well as a BEAUTIFUL view of Ojai. Tour starts with looking at grapes growing on the vines, followed by walk into bottling / storage area, followed by tasting wines in their stunning backyard area. Others on the tour brought small charcuterie board ingredients and shared with everyone - would recommend bringing some light snacks for the tasting portion. Tour included about 10-12 people total and was completely free (!!) in hopes of attendees buying wine bottles at the end (which was fairly priced and very good - our group of 3 got 4 bottles for $120 total.) The owners are celebrating the lost art of breaking bread and sharing time and stories with strangers over wine - felt like something that you'd find in Italy. I didn't really know what to expect since there weren't a ton of reviews for this, but my group (2 adult sisters + our mom) really loved the concept of this entire experience. It's not a typical wine tasting where they give you 5 wines and leave you be at a table, so wouldn't go here if that's what you're looking for. But if you're looking for a unique, less touristy experience, this is an amazing place to learn more about the history of wine in the region directly from wine-makers, stroll around a beautiful vineyard, and connect with others in Ojai enjoying the same things. Cannot say enough positive things about Bob + his wife. Highly recommend this!!

Compared…read moreto another olive oil tasting we did in Paso Robles, this one felt a bit more fast-casual and relaxed--which honestly wasn't a bad thing at all. It gives you the freedom to taste everything at your own pace. You order the tasting first, then they give you a tray with delicious sourdough bread from a local bakery. The staff explained that the balsamic vinegars are imported, while all of their olive oils are produced in-house, except for the truffle oil since the local soil isn't suitable for growing truffles. After that, you head over to the tasting section where you can grab samplers of the olive oils and balsamic vinegars before finding a seat outside under the olive trees. The space itself is beautiful and peaceful. There were around 10 olive oils and 10 balsamic vinegars to try. My favorites were the TH (Tuscan Herbs) olive oil and the traditional balsamic. The flavored balsamics were interesting and fun to taste, though I still personally preferred the classic options. Overall, such a fun and worthwhile stop if you're in the Ojai area. Paid $20 for two people. Also, bonus points because they happily give extra sourdough bread if you need more :)

We wanted a fun activity and saw an Instagram video of the experience. Overall, the tasting was super fun! Got to mix/match diff oils and vinegars and play around with the options. Ended up buying two of our favorites. One thing to note - They used to have cute wood boards with clear markings of the different types of offerings so that you could keep track more easily and it sounds like from the attendant they are bringing those back again (by popular demand). It certainly would be more aesthetically pleasing than a black plastic cafeteria tray. The bread served on our particular day was also a bit too hard so the inside pieces would crumble a lot. We were able to ask for another piece so that we could use the sturdier outside areas and they were gracious with that. However, for $20 really can't complain! With a few minor updates to the board/bread, they could prob sell this experience for far more $ and get more visitors! :)

I knew Ojai was famous for its olive oils, but Carolina especially embodies mastery and craftsmanship as reflected in her offerings of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. As I was the only patron in her shop at the time, I was privileged with her showing me various unique combinations of balsamic and olive oil. She certainly lives up to the Italian stereotype of having good taste. She suggested against me buying food for my mother for Mother's Day, but she understood when I insisted that my mom is a foodie (where I get it from). Carolina herself is classy and refined, yet still so open and welcoming, all of which also is reflected in her store. It is thus no surprise that her shop has been around for over a decade. I hope her shop is there when I am 100! If there was ever a place to stop in Ojai, I would recommend this place. A truly unique experience, unparalleled. I am bringing my mom and all my other loved ones here.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience at Sunstone Winery…read more The problems started before we even arrived. When I called to modify my reservation a week prior to our visit and add additional guests, the staff member I spoke with was rude, sounded annoyed by my questions, and ended the call abruptly without even saying goodbye. Looking back, I should have taken that as a warning of what was to come. When we arrived for our 11:00 a.m. reservation, the host stand staff were not welcoming or friendly. I was informed that because of the size of our party (12 people), two tables could be pushed together, but we would be charged an additional $50. This had never been communicated to me during my phone call. Had I known there would be an extra charge simply to accommodate the size of our group, I would not have proceeded with the reservation. I then asked if our group could be seated at two separate tables, but was told no because the tables were in different server sections. There was no effort to offer alternatives or find a solution. The interaction felt very transactional and unaccommodating. What made this even more frustrating was that the winery was not busy. In fact, we were told it was "graduation season" and a slower weekend, so the lack of flexibility was surprising. Eventually, I suggested that we sit at one table and have a few people stand. As it turned out, the table was actually large enough for our entire group, which left me confused as to why the additional table and fee had been suggested in the first place. As we were being seated, we were informed that because of our group size, we would be doing bottle service and would not be permitted to participate in wine tastings. This was another policy that had never been mentioned when I modified my reservation. Since this was our first visit to the area, wine tasting was the primary reason we chose to visit Sunstone. At that point, we were seriously considering leaving altogether. The hosts repeatedly asked who I had spoken with on the phone, which I couldn't remember. I explained that I wasn't blaming the individual helping us at that moment, but I was disappointed that important details regarding fees and tasting restrictions had never been communicated. Thankfully, Aaron stepped in. He interrupted the conversation and offered to accommodate our group with tastings. Aaron completely changed the trajectory of our visit. He was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a great experience. Thanks to him, we stayed, enjoyed the wines, and ended up purchasing more than 20 bottles. The wine was great, and Aaron was exceptional. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience with the staff left a lasting impression. Customer service starts long before the wine is poured, and every interaction before Aaron felt dismissive and unfriendly. The only reason I'm giving more than one star is because of Aaron. Without him, we would have left before ever tasting the wine.
