On Sunday afternoon, my wife visited the restaurant and picked up lunch. When she got home, she mentioned that the staff was exceptionally friendly--a welcome bonus for takeout. I ordered the brisket kimchi burrito, and it was fantastic--loaded with meat and beans. Watch out, Chipotle! These Mediterranean cowboys really know how to make a burrito! My daughter opted for the build‐your‐own bowl and really enjoyed it, while my wife also got the gyro bowl and loved it. Our son ordered the salmon bowl; he liked it overall but wasn't a fan of the lentils. He's a bit finicky, so next time he might prefer to build his own bowl and add beans instead. My wife even ordered the feta sauce, which makes a nice accompaniment for dipping or adding to your bowl. I'd definitely go back--this new restaurant really completes the strip mall nicely, and I'm super excited about it! read more

Fresh. Flavorful. Fun. Ordered online for pick up, was fast and easy. Food ready in estimated time and that was while they were in the middle of lunch rush. Friendly, cool atmosphere. The food was the big winner here. Wow. I don't think I have described anything as bomb-diggity since 1999 but this place kinda really is. I was apprehensive that based on the descriptions the food may be too extra/too spicy so I went a bit safe with my order but next time I won't hold back. I took my wife to lunch on her birthday and she wanted to try Feta Cowboy based upon some of the reviews she saw on Yelp. First off let me say that the first thing that impressed me was the diversity of their staff across the board. The second thing that impressed me was the friendly atmosphere from the owner's who were very engaging. Chef Jonathan stopped by our table to check on us and stayed long enough to share some things about himself and the staff and owners. Okay, about the food - amazing! I had the Norse Sea Salmon Bowl and let me say that I typically do not finish entrees when dining out and usually take leftovers home. Today at Feta Cowboy I was a clean plater (My late mother would be proud. lol). My entree was so amazing, I liken it to having a dinner party where the invited guests are diverse in their personalities and characters which each adds to the experience. The Norse Sea Salmon Bowl was diverse in the well thought out combination of ingredients and flavors - there was a party going on in my mouth! My wife had the Spicy Roasted Veggies which she was very pleased with and didn't want the experience to end so she only ate half of her food so she could take it home so she could continue to enjoy more of it later. We are already planning to return with family and friends as well as times to get meals to go. Lastly, I am a type 2 diabetic and when I got home I took a reading of my blood sugar and it did rise obviously but it wasn't a dangerous spike which I attributed to the entree not being a bowl full of processed ingredients. Everything was fresh and prepared in house with the salmon cooked to order. If you want a clean, fresh and healthy meal Feta Cowboy is the spot! read more

I have been watching this place go up with anticipation. We were finally able to try it tonight and it was good. I think they may still be working out some kinks. I got the hummus and birria and unfortunately, they forgot the pita. We didn't realize it until we got home and we did not want to turn around and go back. Eating hummus with a fork is just not the same. It looked fresh and the taste was OK. Some of the birria was nice and tender and flavorful some was in a hard lump in the middle that could not be pulled apart because it was grizzly. It was a large serving and could have been a meal on its own if it had the pita. I had the salmon bowl and I thought it was good. The salmon was a bit dry, but it was OK. I enjoyed the toppings and thought they tasted nice and fresh. My husband had a bowl with chicken and he said it was good. I will definitely give it another chance but, I do find it frustrating when to go orders are not double checked since it's always frustrating to get home only to find parts of your order missing. I did try to call the restaurant to let them know, but of course no one answers the phone and it goes to voicemail. read more

Basmati rice was tough and chewy. None of the foods that are supposed to be served hot were at the proper temperature. None of the pans on the serving line had lids which has a huge effect on serving temp. This is the 2nd time I've been here and was disappointed in the quality of the food. The food was tasty but the portions were unreasonably SMALL!! When serving a customer live on a line, it is embarrassing to make them ask for "more" of every ingredient in order to have a substantial meal. Every item put in our bowls was being rationed. It is ANNOYING to pay for a bowl of food that is half full... and even more aggravating to leave hungry. My children could have probably eaten TWO of what they were served. Mediterranean food is our favorite and I had high hopes for this place, but this first experience was negative and we left unimpressed. Came on Thursday around 515p. Ambiance is great. Comfortable seating. It's a Pita Jungle spinoff and you build food like Subway. Much like Cava. It seemed chaotic on the line. Had to be 10 people and we felt rushed to make decisions. We wanted to build our own. There were no labels to tell us what items were. No offer to sample. The meats looked dried out. I ordered the brisket bowl with basmati rice, lentils, sweet potatoes, and tzatziki. The flavor is average. needs salt and pepper and seasonings. I asked for a side of pita chips (for table to share) and hummus. They tucked two chips in my bowl and a side of hummus. Didn't realize brisket was $2 extra and was disappointed at the small portion size given the extra cost. ( compared to my husband and daughters portions, I literally had half) Husband ordered spicy cauliflower burrito. He said it was good, but again needed spices to punch it up. Drinks -specifically teas and lemonades--are over $3 and huge cups. Too large for easy handling. They should size down. Don't expect sodas--they are in a can for $2. Will I be back? Likely. Hopefully they work out the kinks. I wish them luck as it seems a great concept and pricing wasn't bad. I'll take pics next time. read more

This was our second time here, first time we were here we thought the food was ok, but the "system" itself seemed to need some improvement. We chalked it up to being a new spot and the staff getting its wings. Unfortunately on our second visit the "system" was worse, lots of disorder behind the counter and lots of items that were no longer available. It seemed so chaotic for the staff and when we finally tasted our food, it was just not that good. I can only assume the chaos lended to poor quality. Great concept, great spot, we were hopeful. I withheld my review when we went on opening week and I'm glad I did- many things have been improved. On our second visit, we had a Gyro bowl, super fresh and a nice option to the pita kind. Lots of veggies, generous with feta. It was a Tuesday night (taco Tuesday) and my bf ordered one of each taco. Here is where we took the one star off...the tortillas are completely raw. Not steamed or heated or fried or grilled...just stone cold raw tortillas. Like did they forget? If we were in Wyoming I would probably say they just don't know they are not supposed to be raw. But in AZ? No reason for that. Flavor of each taco was awesome. Very odd little side carrot salad, clove is very strong, could not get it down but not a big deal. Nice option in our neighborhood, $23 for dinner for two (no drinks or sides) is comparable to fast food in price but much better. Felt great after eating. Food not heavy. Well done. read more

I want this place to succeed so this should be considered constructive feedback. This was first time trying the restaurant, they've only been open a couple of weeks, so hopefully there is room for improvement. We got takeout, I had the "Ultimate Greek Salad" and added chicken shawarma. It was enormous, but had chunks of unripe tomatoes and hunks of feta cheese as large as walnuts. The chicken was very dry and almost tasteless. There was also so much salt in the dish I woke up thirsty in the middle of the night, not sure if it was the dressing, the chicken or what. I would rather see smaller servings with higher quality ingredients and more thoughtful presentation. read more
