When your only complaint was the salad, you're doing OK. The restaurant was beautiful, and the staff was great. Everyone was very nice, but our waitress was particularly pleasant and seemed intent on helping us have a fun experience. Mama herself came to our table and quickly realized that we were amused by her wisecracks, so she kept coming back. She was cranky in a very fun way, if you can imagine. Dinner was a lot more expensive than I expected, but I am definitely glad we tried the place with our friends. We will be talking about that dinner for a long time. The staff is very attentive, and knowledgable, and truly made us feel comfortable. Our server shared information about how ingredients were locally sourced, and answered all of our questions. When we dined, we ordered from the new spring menu. We got the charred broccoli, which was so unique and refreshing. It had a sweet note to it, which was wonderful. The house meatballs were full of herbs, and were paired with a flavorful red sauce. We also got the mussels, which were awesome! I also enjoyed their cherry bee cocktail, which is gin based, and it was tart, just the way I like them! My favorite dish there is the gnocchi, it is rich and the balsamic notes with the pears are just amazing. I got it on Valentine's day and thought about it ever since!
