The eggplant parmesan appetizer was cooked just right--the eggplant itself was perfectly tender, not mushy and not underdone, which is harder to get right than it sounds. The pizza was excellent. Well-balanced toppings, and I especially enjoyed the chunks of garlic and the balsamic glaze, which added depth without overpowering the rest of the flavors. The pasta was also spot on, and the added grilled chicken was nicely prepared--well seasoned, and a good complement to the sauce rather than an afterthought. What really makes Capriccio appealing is that it's a comfortable, neighborly, casual spot, conveniently right next door to where we live--exactly the kind of place you're happy to have in your neighborhood.
