Affordable buffet-style food with friendly service! I spent less than I would have at Mckie-Ds on a road trip and got so much more value. We stopped in on a Sunday and managed to catch the time between breakfast (ends at 11AM) and brunch. I appreciated that fresh-made eggs and pancakes are part of the buffet. Als, the biscuits are on point. The potatoes they were serving were in a fairly unusual style (in thin seasoned strips), but they were just shy of going soft and the texture made them a tasty treat. Also, for the meat eaters, they had some lovely fried chicken in the brunch. Given the prices they were charging, the value on that is spectacular. I also really liked their salad bar. The variety of items was on point and I got to learn what an ambrosia salad was! This is definitely a great spot to stop in and fill-up. It's clearly a community joint with a bunch of locals. But they welcomed us right in and the server checked on us frequently, even though it was a buffet. I'll definitely pop in again the next time I'm driving through town! read more

This place is great! They have multiple locations across southwest Virginia. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon between 11 and 12 and the breakfast buffet was still running. It wasn't as busy since the breakfast rush had pretty much come and gone. I'm not sure if it's only on the weekends or this location only but I believe the breakfast buffet is all day long as well as the lunch and dinner buffet. The prices were great and the food was delicious. Me being a country girl I loaded up on biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, eggs, and potatoes. Everything was so tasty. The decor is really homey and reflects Southwest VA and the musical history that lies there. Our waitress was amazing! I really wish I could remember her name to give her the props she deserves. Definitely stop in at one of their locations either in Abington, Wytheville, or Hillsville. You will get your money's worth and your belly full. read more

Salad items were good, fresh and well stocked. BUT moving down the line the fried fish was not fully cooked. Also the chicken livers looked fried crisp but 1st bite they were totally raw! Absolutely service was on point. Place is clean but cold. We just missed the breakfast buffet so we had lunch. It was southern comfort food. Fried chicken, pot roast, green beans, cabbage, corn fritters, etc.. my only complaint was the salad bar, blue cheese dressing someone had spilled French dressing in it and no one cleaned it up. Waited 15 minutes to be seated while one lady was checking out customers and watching 4 servers standing over her shoulder giving her tickets instead of taking 1 minute to seat a new customer while the restaurant was over 1/2 empty. The atmosphere is pleasant, the prices are low, and the service is prompt. Our server, noting that we're senior citizens, may have tried to tug at our heartstrings by sharing her story of newfound sobriety and a prior felony conviction. I'll admit, I fell for it and slipped her a $20--that's on me. Still, if she's willing to badmouth her manager, she may indeed need the help.
