He is amazing with my dog--the only time that my dog doesn't care that I'm leaving him behind is when he is with Doug. We lost our beloved 'Molly' in Doug's care. His service came highly recommended through a relative…read more We were to leave town to visit family in Los Angeles and trusted Doug with our furry family member's life for three days. On the second day, we received a call saying there had been a dog attack involving Molly; that one of the other dogs that was also being boarded, had attaked her. Though Molly was taken to ER for her injuries, she did not survive the attack. We lost our angel in Doug's care. We discovered that it was one of Doug's own pets that had attacked Molly. Though we reported the attack to the police and the Humane Society. Doug had argued that his dog was fighting in self deffence. Our Molly was a 6 lb. Yorkie that was a service pet for senior care facilities. Doug's dog is a 78 lb. Lab. Really !?!? One of his assistants felt horrible about what happened and mentioned similar events as happening in the past. The staff member had also said most of the possitive reviews on Yelp are from mock accounts that Doug and his staff posted. Please do your own research before trusting you pet with him.

They communicate via a portal with all the cats' details and instructions uploaded + billing is clearly outlined and easily processed. We use an app, that allows us to get daily updates and photos and messages about our fur baby. They are always punctual and caring and I can not recommend them enough. Cats and dogs, it is not easy to find a cat sitter in San Diego, we no longer could depend on family and friends, so this was a huge weight off our shoulders, now that we have Paws Play, we can go away whenever we want and know that our cat will be well cared for. The Hope2K9 adoption experience was exceptional…read more The pup that we rescued (Freyja) was full of love and nervous energy. We decided to rescue her a few days before Hope2K9 had an open spot to start her training. When we brought Freyja home from the rescue we learned that she was part shark and part sled dog. On our first walk she was trying to pull us up the street with the force of an entire team of sled dogs. When we got home from the walk we gave her a "indestructible dog toy" which she managed to destroy within 5 minutes. At this point we were nervous about the potential challenges we were going to be facing with training. During the 3 week training process Cam kept us updated on our pups progress. The second night we received a short video of Cam walking a well behaved Freyja. The 2 in person training sessions were well organized and covered all the commands and how to leverage the training tools used to train our pup. The experience did not end with the 3 week training because Hope2K9 has been there to answer our questions.

It has been one year since I adopted Maddie and that is why this review is over due! Hope2k9 trains rescued dogs, teaches them good manners and social skills. I couldn't be more pleased with finding my forever best friend. I definitely will go back to foster or adopt another dog. Not only do they work very hard at training they also allow you to visit for more training if you want. This is a wonderful rescue and I couldn't be more happier with my pup!
