I am so angry at Field's BMW in Winter Park it's not even funny! My husband and I are looking to buy a car and found one yesterday morning on their web site. Both of us contacted them separately asking if it was still available and to come in for a test drive. We heard back, was told it was ready for me to see and I had an appointment for this morning to come in. I get there this morning and guess what??? They sent it to the auto auction last night AFTER confirming my test drive!!!! When I said the lady I'd spoken with confirmed the car was available, the salesperson says to me, "she's just an Internet person." He tried to offer me to other cars that didn't even compare to what I was in for. read more

I was lied to about my car's Carfax when I was trying to sell them back the car I bought from them after a year and a half from using it. They printed of a fake Carfax telling me it had a bad past accident of it and that my car was not worth much because of that. They offered me $8,500 for it. I refused the offer and went to Carmax where they said the Carfax was clean from any accident and they offered me $13,500. Don't trust the people at this place. read more

Everything about BMW Winter Parks was amazing! Tim Hanna is the greatest car salesman ever! There was no pressure . He was very patient. I test drove a lot of cars and had umpteen questions before I chose mine. He worked with me to find the best deal possible. My local BMW did not even make an attempt to match that offer! A week after the sale I called him with with questions abut the contract. He was very prompt and patient answering my questions and addressing my concerns. Every time I have taken my car there I have been disappointed. Yes, the people are nice, they feed you, blah blah blah... but where it really counts, their workmanship... they are greatly lacking. Top 2..... Bought tires & paid for an alignment...NEVER was right, even after going back and riding with a manager, so my tires wore uneven. Most recently, the recalls....they ordered my parts, never called me (although they said they left a message, but couldn't tell me the date and time)...they ordered the parts again...they did the work, I'm guessing, but also broke my visor clip and put 2 dings in my door jam.... Even though Winter Park was more of a drive from my Tampa residence compared to other dealerships, it was certainly the right decision. Steve Mahady took the time throughout my 3+ week decision making process and was very patient and responsive with all of my questions. When it came time to take delivery of the new car, it was a pleasant and seamless experience. Everything was prepped and ready to go. From the front desk manager when I first walked through the door, to the finance department, and Steve's explanation of all the vehicle features, everything was orchestrated to the tee. Pitiful customer service! Brought in a 328i with a defective water pump for repair. Warranty on the vehicle just expired (500miles ago) and the only assistance they offered with the repair was for me to buy a discount plan. We've purchased 9 vehicles from Fields and I couldn't be more disappointed with the way they handled this. BMW NA customer assistance wasn't much better. Empty promises and no follow up at all. To be fair...they've always done good work and have been relatively timely with everything. Other than the time a bunch of stuff was stolen from my wife's car and they gave her a key chain to apologize. read more

I stopped by this dealership after work to check out some of the SUVs. Jaime Drawdy was the sales person who assisted me and was extremely knowledgeable and personable. I wanted to see a Range Rover Evoque and she was able to take me to the Land Rover dealership since they are a part of Fields. The Winter Park Fields BMW sales department is one of the worst sales departments that one could ever deal with! Three years ago I decided to lease a car from Ferman BMW (near St. Pete). I had had a GREAT experience with Ferman and fully intended to go back, however, I decided to go to Fields BMW simply to test drive the car. I live in Orlando and wanted to make sure that I liked the car before I drove all the way over to Tampa. My sales person at Fields was a gentleman by the name of Gary, who had just moved to Florida and had only been employed by Fields for a short time. He was a pleasure to deal with so I decided to go ahead and lease the car through Gary. Unfortunately, as the sales process continued, the sales manager had to get involved and he took a pleasant experience and gave it the typical "used car salesman" feel. Even after the final price had been agreed upon, the sales manager tried to increase the terms for a measly $500. I stressed to Gary that the only reason that I was even considering buying the car at Fields was because of him and that if the sales manager didn't back off, I would take my business to Ferman. The deal was completed, but only because Gary took control. Fast forward, three years later and it is now the end of my lease and I now must decide whether to buy the car or turn it in. I met with Gary again but it seems that Fields has had three years to indoctrinate him to their way of thinking - don't work "with" the customer but work "on" the customer and make them pay as much as you can! I was merely looking for a discount on the purchase price after the lease. Not only would they not even consider a discount, Gary tried to sell me additional services, for which I didn't need, so that I would have paid even more for the car. The people that work here are so arrogant and treat you horribly. Thank you but I'll take my business back to Ferman. Saving on the drive is not worth the attitude that you have to endure at Fields. read more

The Fields BMW service and repair center is notoriously expensive, but my experience there last week set an outrageous new standard for "rip-off". I took my 2005 330i in to repair a poorly functioning air conditioning system. I got a call from the shirt & tie "service consultant" mid-day at work, quoting me $2,400 to fix the problem! He said this was because the "dashboard would need to be dismantled" and that "it takes a lot of time". What?!! I then took the car into The Car Bar on S. Orlando Ave. They inspected the system, added more coolant gas, installed a gasket, and had it fixed and running for $140. You expect to pay more at the dealership...but not 17 times more! Pure thievery. Beware. read more

I spoke with BMW corporate, the results have been favorable up to now. However, I have yet to take my car in. I spoke to Mike@ Fields South Orlando, they were able to accommodate me with a courtesy loaner while my car is getting serviced. The person I spoke to in Winter Park was improperly trained. Their protocol is if no courtesy loaners are available when a client calls to schedule service, they are to give them the option of rescheduling their appointment when a vehicle is available or they can offer to rent you a vehicle at $35 + tax. The Agent from Winter Park did not offer me this option, instead said that I had to pay $35 a day for a loaner or stay stuck without a vehicle for an undermined amount of time. He was short and unwilling to service me appropriately. At the end of the day he was trying to get me to pay for something that I have the right to get for free. That sounds like a misrepresentation for profit. I will reluctantly return to Fields however, not at the Winter Park location. I will definitely keep yelpers updated on this debacle. My experience with Fields In Winter Park sounds like fellow yelper Roberta G's. They ended up losing a dime chasing a penny and all I know for sure is, they will never see a dollar out of my wallet. read more

First time visiting this location for service. My daughter moved from Connecticut where her car had been serviced in the past and was always a great experience. This location told us an hour and two hours later we still had heard nothing. No updates, nothing. When I finally approached the service desk for an update I was told it was in the car wash. 30 minutes later, still no word from our advisor. I went back to the front desk and then was told it wasn't washed or ready yet. The front desk then told me that supposedly I was told it would be an hour before they could even look at my vehicle? I wasn't told that and I had an appointment in the first place. Why have a 9:15am appointment in the first place? Then I speak with the manager which does absolutely nothing. The manager gives me his card just in case I need help in the future? I'm giving the short story here but the service here was extremely poor. read more

After having leased my vehicle in 2007 and then bought it out, I am turned off to BMW after my most recent experiences with both the Winter Park and OBT locations. At Winter Park on 2 different occasions, I was not spoken to by anyone. At OBT, I told the salesperson I was serious but would not be ready for about month and a half and I was out doing research. He was all too eager to show me cars and offer a test drive, but continued to talk about what could happen today and if I could be ready sooner. When I reminded him that I was not going to take a car home that day, he stopped the process and there was no more offer for a test drive. He asked me to come back when I was ready. Now I don't know how the car drives and really have no desire to come back and find out. I was treated so much better by Lucy at Audi south Orlando, and by Fayez at Orlando Infiniti. They spoke to me like a human and didn't spit out stereotypical car salesman garbage that I see right through. read more

Terrible experience trying to buy an M3 from out of state. Everything from trying to put a deposit down with my cc to getting the paperwork was botched. The finance manager called me to finalize the sales contract and the salesman didn't even tell her about my trade in or shipping. After waiting a week for the paperwork, I finally canceled the deal. It has now been THREE WEEKS AND THEY HAVE NOT RETURNED MY DEPOSIT. I have now gone directly to the GM so let's see what happens. I was dealing with Russ Fowler. I have had my car serviced 3 times at this location (routine service/maintenance, spark plug change, emergency window motor repair) and they are ALWAYS amazing! My service guy, Dave S., is all over it! Dropped my car off last night after hours- with no appt- for an emergency repair and by the time I got to work this morning, Dave called me an hour after opening with an estimate and to tell me they could get started ASAP. He kept me informed all day, called me the minute it was done, AND followed up with an email. I bought my 328i in New York and am used to dealerships treating you poorly if you didn't buy your car there- but this is NOT the case at Fields BMW. The gals in the cashier area, Vinnie and Amanda, are fabulous and helpful, too. They actually helped me save- yes, SAVE- money on my bill and got my Jazzi all clean and shiny for me when I picked her up. Did I mention the delicious café and the very professional chef/employees that service it? Free sodas, tons of coffees, homemade omelets on the weekends.....this is a beautiful dealership where I am treated like a princess every time. I had a very disappointing situation happen attempting to purchase a car from this dealership. The salesperson agreed to a sales price and I put down a deposit of $1000. When I asked them to verify it in writing he added an additional $495 in dealer profit. I asked for my deposit back once he did this. I then reached out Saturday with 4 options on how I could buy the car and pay their dealer profit as requested. The salesperson said his hands were tied and there was nothing he could do. They just called today and said if I wanted to buy the car I would need to pay the $495 but I would also need to pay another $1,000 because the "dealer" incentive was over Saturday for his car. First would like to say that thus far my service advisor, David, has been amazing. I purchased a 2015 BMW 328i a few weeks ago from a Nissan Dealership, still under factory warranty. Prior vehicle was an Audi that I serviced at Audi South Orlando which had all around the best service ever. When I called Fields this morning to make an appointment they said if I wanted a loaner the earliest would be 7-10 days. As it was my AC that was giving me trouble, in the Florida heat, I couldn't wait that long. They do have a shuttle that will pick up/drop off within 15 miles so I opted for that. When I asked David if the wait is generally this long he informed me that since I didn't purchase my vehicle here I was not eligible for a loaner, ever. After dealing with Audi (I also did not purchase my vehicle there) where they even will drop your car off to you once it is ready and pick up their loaner from you, I was quite surprised. Not sure how other dealerships operate but I thought a loaner was pretty standard, regardless of point of purchase. They do also offer lunch and apparently free car washes on Saturday (though technically the latter is probably for those who purchased here) so I'm sure they will make up for this lacking element in other ways. read more

I would not recommend ever doing business again with this dealership. I had a problem with a new vehicle I purchased. I asked for a number of options on the car and the salesman told me that everything I requested was on the vehicle. I discovered after I drove out of the dealership with my vehicle that the upgraded sound system I requested was not on the car. After complaints to BMW Corporate and the dealership There has been no attempt on their part to replace my car. I found out that the sound system was proprietary to the vehicle which means no third party can upgrade it. I always heard bad comments about Fields and now those suspicions are true. If you ever deal with this company, Let the buyer beware. read more

They refused to stand up for me to Bmw NA. They refused to let Bmw know their data could be wrong regarding the time it took me to get my car to charge! My certified pre owned car would not fast charge properly they fixed it and told Bmw NA that nothing was wrong with it! So now Bmw NA refuses to compensate me for the time I could not fast charge my car properly! I have had hundreds of calls to them and this dealership and they all refuse to offer any type of compensation or customer satisfaction for the 6 months I went without being able to travel in my vehicle because of the lack of the ability to fast charge my vehicle! It simply would not communicate with evgo chargers which represent 90% of chargers in my area! This dealership also refused to duplicate the conditions of using the same charger I did and instead used their own which could not duplicate my problems! Meaning they basically said I was a liar to Bmw NA and bmw NA didn't compensate me as a result of their I proper input that they say met Bmw standards!? Bmw standard it a fast charger that won't work at 90% of fast chargers!? I have felt with this issue to exhaustion with bmw NA! They fixed the problem after 6 months then called me and said they were done with me and this is all they are going to do on the issue! Well they fixed it finally but I had much rather hear a response like give us a call if you have any more problems as opposed to we are done with your issue!? Seems BMW NA has no customer service! I'm now having to go back and find logs from evgo to prove to them it was having charging issues! Seems like they just don't want to trust me as a customer or stand up for the problems I encountered! I have never experienced a company with less customer service! To sell me a certified pre owned car that won't fast charge then after finding the problem and fixing it refuse to compensate me for driving a lemon that won't fast charge properly for 6 months is outlandish! This was my first bmw and first electric car! I will never buy a bmw again! It's sad they don't try and keep their customers with even the slightest bit of empathy! From the purchase of our 750Li to our 428i he has always been beyond helpful. David Susa is also a great service representative, constantly trying his hardest to please the customers. I had the best experience at Fields BMW. I leased my first ever BMW 2 weekends ago and couldn't have asked for better treatment. I live an hour & a half north of Winter Park but my local BMW dealer didn't have much inventory & I was given so many different quotes from different individuals. On a whim, I decided to call Winter Park to discuss my options. I got a hold of Hugh Hencken who was absolutely AMAZING. He was honest from the very first phone call and very personable. He was so wonderful that I decided to take my business an hour & a half South to get my dream car. Hugh made me feel very comfortable and went out of his way to get the exact color combination of car I was asking for. He was great with follow up phone calls & even took a call after hours when I had a question. I was very impressed when I went on Saturday to pick up my car; Fields was very welcoming and even had made to order breakfast available while I was waiting for the paperwork to be complete. The car was absolutely beautiful, detailed and ready to go. Hugh spent time with me going over the vehicle and made sure I was comfortable before I left the dealership. All in all, I highly recommend Fields BMW Winter Park... ask for Hugh Hencken! (but I am sure they are all great) read more

The welcome service staff were nice, but did not seem to have a clue as the the process of taking care of customers that did not present with an appointment. David said he will call me back at 4 today..... we will see They have the worst customer service I had an appointment yesterday at 10 o'clock brought my car in 30 minutes early told me it needed service updates done I agreed to that. I needed a diagnostic check told him that would ever needed to be fixed under warranty to go ahead and fix it did not get a hold of me until 4 o'clock in the afternoon stating that he just got a hold of the warranty company and they agreed to fix my that is ridiculous why didn't he not call them that morning to get my car fixed .No cars for loners really the worst customer service I've ever had at a BMW dealership. I will never get my car fixed at a fields dealership or buy a car from a fields any under this company. Arrived 20 min early for my appointment, was told Scott was just catching up on paperwork but would be with me in a minute. 25 minutes later, and serving no one that I could see, he was still "catching up on paperwork". I asked for my keys and car - and apparently I wasn't even next. All we ask is for accurate feedback, something Fields continuously seems to fail at. Sensitized to waits there as I've waited as long as an hour, to find they were waiting for my keys, which were apparently placed on the wrong desk. Have purchased 3 new BMW's from them since 2005, while sales process was painless, the service issues are making me think its lime for a Lexus. read more

I recently took my car into Fields Winter PARK BMW to Primarily get my tires examined as the "Tire Pressure Indicator" I also felt a jolt while starting my car and water was saturating the floor of my car. I made an appointment and scheduled the trolley to take me to work. I waited 45 min and was told both drivers were out. I than had to call a peer to pick me up. I was denied a loaner car because I didn't purchase my car from FIELDS. I DID purchase from a BMW Dealership in Gainesville (same BRAND). After two days I was told my car was ready and then I was told it Wasn't!! ONLY THEN was it shared with me by my SERVICE advisor SCOTT BMW does have a relationship with Hertz and offered me a rental which was a Patriot Jeep. When my car was returned to me it was dirty inside from whomever worked on my car . I was told my car would be valeted to me, I was asked to take a seat to wait....I waited for 15 min I stepped outside and one of the service men said "oooh your car is parked down there here are the keys you can just go and get it....annoyed but very late to work at this point. I drove away ONLY to get down the street and noticed the TIRE Pressure LIGHT was ON. I turned around went back the SERVICE MANAGER greeted me with a concern on his face reset the indicator and adjusted the pressure apologized and sent me off. A day later I received a follow-up Survey call and advised of my DISMAY....The representative advised me as "ooh it cost us to give you that car and BMW has certain Mandates".. BMW is not a cheap product and if I had purchased an item from Publix or Wal-Mart my service would be the same. I would not be made to feel different because the BRAND is the BRAND!! she advised she understood and would escalate my concern to the service manager. Scott called me and shared (repeated) my concerns and asked what could he do...Which in this case the issue was well documented and he should have contacted me with a SOLUTION. WASTE of my time and additional Stress not needed... I will not refer ANYONE to this location and I will TELL EVERYONE of this BAD experience that I incurred. I am spreading the word.. Fields BMW has been my service center for the past 4 years because my car was still under warranty. Every time I take a perfectly good running vehicle to them for service, they find something wrong, costing me thousands of dollars. Here are a few of my awful experiences with them. 1. Take the car for service, they find that all the cooling system hoses are bad and that they need it to be replaced, I never seen a coolant leak/spill in my garage floor but service person said that the car is sealed on the bottom and that's why I don't see it. I told him to replace one of the hoses, cost me a lot of money. Came home check all the hoses, guest what!!! They where fine. 2. I never taken my vehicle to another service center. Took the car to them for an oil change, service person called me and said the engine oil pan drain bolt was stuck and that they couldn't take it out and that they need it to replace the oil pan. I argue with them that how can the bolt be stuck when they are the only ones to work on my car. They did change it, cost me a lot of money because I end up paying for 50% of the part and 100% for the labor. The mechanic who worked on the car messed it up and I end up paying for his/her mistake. 3. This last time I went, they say my car was leaking transmission oil, it took me by surprise because my car is garage kept and never have I seen and oil spill. The fix according to them was a seal. I told them to go ahead and fix it, the service person called me again and told me that the oil pan also need it to be replaced because it was plastic and they don't seal good, I told him not to replace the oil pan because that oil pan is a hard plastic that does not easily bend and that when they put the seal and torque properly we shouldn't have any problems. They over torqued the pan returned the car to me leaking and charge me for it. I took the car to a local shop put the car on the lift and sure enough they cracked the pan in four places, over torqued the bolts. I order the new parts and I am in the process of getting the installed properly and for 75% off their cost. Again, the mechanic who worked on the car messed it up and I end up paying for his/her mistake. Sadly but true, a lot of wealthy people with no mechanical knowledge goes to Fields BMW, when the service person tells them there is something wrong with their vehicle they trust them and let them do whatever they need to do at whatever cost not knowing that they are being taking advantage of. Finally, don't take your service advisor's words, get a second opinion and research the parts there saying are bad and you will have a better understanding of what this people are doing at Fields BMW, before spending thousands of your hard earned money. read more
