My group of 10 or so decided to stop in after having lunch at the ale house next door. Once we walked in we were greeted right away. Everything in the case looked amazing! I decided on 2 donuts. A chocolate old fashioned, and chocolate frosted cake. I loved both. One of my friends also had a box of kolaczkis that I tried one. It was amazing. Reasonable prices and excellent selection. Others in my group had the eclair which they said the filling was great. The carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. A pecan sweet roll. Everyone was satisfied. The blueberry old fashioned donut is REALLY good.....the buckeye brownie was ok....the other 5 or so things we tried, and ended up throwing away ranged from inedible (the cinnamon roll was extremely under cooked in the middle) to good but not worth getting (the oatmeal cream pie) with the apple fritter, croissant, and apple cider donut falling somewhere between the cinnamon roll and oatmeal cream pie. The are much better bakeries in the area, especially for cinnamon rolls and donuts. Sadly we were really looking forward to trying Fiene's Bakery, but were disappointed and would not go back. read more

Terrible cakes Terrible customer service and got sick from their pastries. We ordered a cake for our wedding anniversary and decided to try out a couple pastries. After both my husband and I eating the cheesecake and brownie we spent the whole night sick to our stomach. Next day we called to cancel the cake order we had placed 3 days in advance and the owner waited till next day to tell us her policy was no refund even after we told her we got sick from her pastries and did not want to take a chance on the cake. She was very rude and we had no choice but to take the cake or lose our money. We had the cake and I will warn you as a person who has ordered numerous cakes from other places before, it was frozen upon pick up and when we ate it, was terrible!!! No flavor, fell apart, we order cream filling in middle and it had none. Only reason we tried them out was because of their great reviews which must obviously be fake or bought. I went to Fiene's last month to have a carrot cake made for my sister's birthday. We ate it so quickly that I forgot to take a picture! It was the best carrot cake any of us had ever had. They were extremely helpful and gave me instructions on how to handle and serve it. While I was standing in line, I thought of ways to justify buying one of everything in their display cases. Stopped in to get some breakfast treats. OMG. I will dream about this place. We just got some cake donuts, yeast donuts, and pecan sticky buns. EVERYTHING was amazing. The staff boxed everything up (very sturdy and so that nothing was taking frosting off other things), there was a great variety of goodies, and the shop was clean and well organized--very homey. The products themselves are very tasty (best tiramisu Ive had in a long while!) but the customer service is severely lacking. The guy that has been there every time I have stopped in always looks like he absolutely hates his life and none of the other staff seem overly excited or happy either. Ordered a 2-tier square wedding-style cake for my parent's 60th wedding anniversary party. One layer was red velvet cake with cherry filling, the other honey flavor cake with lemon custard filling. Covered in Italian buttercream frosting. The cake was a HUGE hit with my very picky family, received many compliments about how beautiful it was and the taste was outstanding! Frosting was perfect fluffy, not overly sweet like so many often are. The staff was wonderful to work with, shootout to Misti, who's suggestions and guidance was spot on. Fiene's knocked it out of the park with this amazing cake for our sons 2nd birthday! I was able to bring my idea to the bakery and they took down every detail to ensure the cake would be nothing less than perfect. Their team was very easy to work with from beginning to pick-up. So if I'm honest, I stumbled into Fiene's because DeEtta's was out of donuts already for the morning and I was really, really, REALLY needing a donut. But I'm SO glad I did, because this place is going in our regular baked goods rotation for sure! It's bright and spacious with cute decor and tons of bakery cases filled with goodies. I got a little overwhelmed and did that thing where you order everything in a panic. Or is that just me? Either way, I got a maple pecan donut, two white frosted donuts, a chocolate donut, a cinnamon roll, and all of the macarons they had - blueberry cheesecake, apple cheesecake, and creme brûlée flavored. Oh and two sausage and egg quiche. As I was being rung up I chatted with the lovely employee who advised me they'd been open since June and also do custom cakes and cupcakes - the latter of which they don't keep in the daily baked goods rotation to avoid having to toss extras, so don't think because you don't see them, you can't order them! I got home and alerted my family to my insane purchase and we all dug into the baked goods. Now everything was good, but if I had to choose one, that incredible maple pecan donut - oh my word. Rich, sweet, maple-y frosting with an absurdly generous amount of chopped pecans all atop a perfectly fried cake donut? Kind of perfection. I could see these being the biggest hit at a thanksgiving morning breakfast. Or really, any time at all. Wow! Amazing customer service, delicious baked goods! My daughter asked for a cherry pie instead of cake for her birthday. I called and ordered it and the person on the phone was awesome. When we came to pick it up, our beautiful pie was still warm. It was legit the best cherry pie I've ever had. Perfect sweet/tart level, buttery flaky crust...just perfection. I am SO excited to have such a delicious family owned bakery near by! I stopped in and had to try one of a variety! I loved the donuts- so fresh, light and fluffy. The boston had an impressive amount of fresh custard inside, though wish it tasted a little more like vanilla perhaps. The old fashioned was delightful. It was late morning and they did not have any pies available. They did say they could have one ready in less than two hours. The woman behind the counter was extremely friendly and helpful. Prices were $18-$20 each. I ordered a strawberry pie. Came back to pick it up a couple hours later. It was ready right on time and still warm in the box when I got it home. The pie was a little sweet for me but my sweetheart loved it. I will definitely go there again. Maybe blueberry or French silk next time. read more
