WHAT A GEM! So happy we found this place. From the cleanliness to the yummiest seafood & amazing customer service, we were so impressed! We've eaten seafood all across the country & the freshness, price & taste were on point. So very delicious! Our waiter, Mesia, was attentive & so kind. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back! Highly recommend!

We've been trying to get down to this spot for awhile after seeing the ads on IG. We finally made it on a Friday evening and surprising there was no wait. Walking through the dining room to our table (after being greeted by a very nice hostess) we say a couple groups of ppl with lobster bibs and gloves on. This was a good sign and we could not wait to order. The menu is straight forward and broken down in a simple format for the boils. You pick the seafood you want (crabs and lobster are served by the pound at market prices), the seasoning (I recommend the garlic butter with a little lemon pepper thrown in, trust me) and then choose your spice level (we went with mild as it was our first go). The food came quick and all the tools needed were provided by our very laid back waiter Tony (he's so chill but he was on point the whole time). Everything in the boil comes in a steamer bag that you cut open. We split a boil with crab legs (2lbs), lobster tails (2lbs) and we doubled up on the corn on the cob. As tradition it came with potatoes and sausages. Everything was yummy (well the hush puppies we ordered were meh but the seafood made up for them) especially smothered and dipped in the garlic/lemon pepper butter. Glad we split the boil b/c it was a lot of food and leftover boil does not reheat well. Looking forward to coming back and trying some other items like the shrimp and mussels. 11/1/2019 update Gumbo could not even be considered gumbo. It had not okra, sausage or tomatoes. The roux was watery and had no flavor and the crawfish looked disgusting. The pic on the menu and what we were served did not resemble each other at all. Thank goodness we were not charged for it. They posted on IG the next day that they revamped their recipe, I'm not trying it again but good luck to y'all

Who has two thumbs and drove 30mins for crawfish....this Lady that's who....and I was not disappointed. I even ordered a 2nd order since it was so good. During my 2nd order I order side items, like sausage and corn etc.only to find out from my server that I didnt need to order them as they automatically come with the crawfish. I said wait my first order had only crawfish, a few potatoes and no corn. Since I didn't get the full meal she made sure I for extra on my second order. She turned what could've been a bad review into a good one and a reason to deny 30 minutes to have crawfish again.

I am in complete shock that I wasn't aware of a seafood restaurant here in Rock Hill, SC. I am in the area often for work. I was invited to drop in and so I did absolutely just that. The parking is plentiful on both sides of the building. When you walk in everyone welcomes you loudly!! Yes, I'm feeling this place already. I decision to sit at the bar. All ofcthe young ladies at the bar were friendly and offered suggestions on what paired together on the menu. The bartender's name is Sara and she was super attentive. I had a cherry limeade adult beverage its made with Deep Eddy's lime vodka. It is delicious and reasonably priced. It paired well with my seafood boil which included crab, shrimp, mussels, corn, and potatoes. The food was piping hot and delicious. I ordered the mild Fiery Crab sauce which is a combination of all of the sauces. Someone was celebrating a birthday and the staff definitely exercised their voices and claps to celebrate the guest. I observed outstanding customer service that was given over the phone to customers placing call in orders. I also gmhad the opportunity to meet the manager who's originally a New Yorker! He was very laid back and nice. He has a great rapport with his staff and customers attending the restaurant. I'm scared that I may come here every weekend after work because I like how they made me feel. Ziyana may have been my favorite because she kept me company in between ringing up orders and assisting guests! If you're in the Rock Hill area and craving seafood please look no further- this is it!

We finally tried Fiery Crab. Discovered that we haven't been missing anything. I hate to complain about a business. My food looked pretty good. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. Food was overly spicy and not cooked well. I know that cost of goods keep changing, but the menu didn't have any prices on it. Fortunately the prices were not unreasonable. The server was very nice.

The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and the customer service was top-notch. What really earned this 5-star review happened after my visit. While reconciling my account on 7/29/26, I noticed a $45 charge for an item I didn't order. I called and spoke with Tiffany, who was incredibly kind and assured me she would speak with the manager, Philip. When I called back the next day, Katie was already expecting my call and immediately connected me with Philip. He had all the details, sincerely apologized, refunded the $45 without hesitation, and even gave me his personal number in case the refund didn't post. That level of honesty, communication, and trust is rare. Thank you, Tiffany, Katie, and Philip, for turning a billing mistake into an example of exceptional customer service. If you're looking for amazing comfort food, friendly people, and a place that truly feels like home, Bear Walrus is it. It's Rock Hill's version of "Cheers." I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the Charlotte area! :::writing

Bartenders were really entertaining and I actually preferred it. We've had dinner there before and opted not to move to a table. Prime rib - Friday night special. AMAZING. 8 oz portion rare was juicy and so flavorful. Crust was peppery and delicious, perfect with savory heat from the horseradish cream. Mac and cheese was super creamy and just the right amount of pepper, made with shells, cheese pull galore. The collards were on point and packed with chunks of pork. The tri tip was sliced thin and stayed juicy but that chimichurri was the showstopper. It was fresh and spicy and totally made the dish! Beans were too smoky for me, hubby said they were good. Potato salad was solid but not sure any potato dish could top that Mac! Sparkling rose was just a teensy bit sweet, very refreshing and divine. Bartender said it's one of the best wines on their list. Hubby had Tito's and cranberry, also excellent. They have a good draft selection too. No oysters for us on this trip, but they did have a list and the raw bar was fully seated and enjoying them. We totally enjoyed oysters last time. Longer table down the middle would make it easy for large parties and they did have several large groups in as well. Overall it was a pretty energetic vibe with a fun but casual ambience. Dress it up if you like, but jeans are also okay. Games were on the three TVs at the bar, or maybe there were 4 TVs. Bartenders were fun to hang out with and provided all the menu recommendations and entertainment we could want.

The menu is fairly deep and wide. Obviously, with the name of the restaurant, they offer a good variety of seafood options. Their specials for the evening both were seafood. Like the last time here they recommended the Chilean Seabass. What a shock, it's the most expensive item on the menu. Three people got it, they all said it was OK to good. I ordered the blackened mahi-mahi. By the description, it sounded good, I've had it other places, I've enjoyed it. Well, there's always a first time that it wasn't very good. That bs this time. To start, the portion size is decent. I understand we were a fairly large group, but they need to figure out a way to bring the food out at least warm. The most disappointing part of the fish was how dry it was. The second most disappointing part about the fish was how it lacked blackened seasoning. One other person also got the same menu item and had the exact same comments. I did start out with a side salad and it was acceptable. The lettuce was not too flimsy. It included goat cheese and candied pecans. Their house dressing, which was a vinaigrette, tasted bitter. We ordered five different appetizers. No super compliments on the any of them. I didn't try them all. I did try the crab cakes, they seemed to be missing crab. I paid the bill. When the server asked me, how was everything? I replied "not very good". She didn't care to ask what the issue was.

While we waited for our food to arrive, we noticed a steady flow of customers all the way until closing time! It's clear Island Grill & Pub is a local favorite. The food is packaged up to go, but there are plenty of tables to dine-in once you have your food...and a big screen with movies and Jamaican music playing in the background to keep you entertained. The wait for the food is a bit long...but EVERYTHING came out very fresh, very authentic, and worth the wait. The portions were plentiful, the food was flavorful and seasoned well, and the items were priced well for the value. I received flounder, clams, shrimp, oyster, and deviled crab. Are you kidding me?! It's a huge meal for $23. You can't beat the value. I admit I'd like the food to be a little more seasoned. However, I can say the devil crab is really good. I tried a similar meal the second time I went, but this time I had it broiled. I only had the flounder and shrimp this time. Again, a huge portion came out the shrimp were well seasoned, but you really need the cocktail sauce to put it over the top. I wasn't as big a fan of the flounder this time. The salad bar is good. It's very traditional and you won't find anything really unique here, but it is fun to have a salad bar. I sort of missed them when they disappeared. The ladies who provide service are just really sweet. They clearly have regulars, but they treat newbies really well. They always invite you back, which is a sweet thing to do.
